The Congrats Thread, V6

Recommended Posts

Congrats, guys , you all did a great job=) My achievement is not so big and special ,but I've finally named all my dragons after my return. A huge chunk of the names is just squeeze a vowel into the code to make something readable, but still^___^Cool codes stay codes, obviously. Finally I am greeted not with a bunch of codes=3

This pair has been extremely productive since I started breeding them back in March. Hopefully I'll have a Soulpeace x Silver checker before long!

I bred these two beautiful Magmas one after the other and reignited my love for trio breeding. I'm so happy. 😭

I remember back in the day I absolutely hoarded Magmas! Because of that, I have 25 CB Magmas and 98 adults. So that means i'm going to hit 100 with these two. Me thinks I should do a mass breed to celebrate. :)

Reached my scroll goal for Turpentines, Skysilks, Blunas, Shallow Waters and AoC. Still so many breeds to go though...

I'm thinking of setting actual scroll goals for myself with CBs, and the first step was an inventory of the CBs I already have, broken down by gender. I finished the inventory today. I left out some stuff like unbreedables and prizes, and frozen hatchlings have their own list, but that's still over 250 different breeds and color variants. Next step is choosing a number of CBs to aim for and maybe doing a bit of scroll maintenance, but this was the tedious part and I'm glad it's done.

Yay @Amberfly! Scroll inventorying is a big task to undertake, especially doing the whole thing now with so many breeds. I believe we were still under 200 unique breeds when I first made mine.

So, I might be making a super-special song... group? I completely gave up on my first-ever lyrical lineage last year, breeding like that just isn't my thing. But catching dragons and organizing them in a group with lyrical names, that I can do! Already saved the full lyrics on 'placeholder dragons' until I get the right ones for the group.

I’ll congratulate my brain on being able to break down my big project into small tasks and planning out how will I be able to use my 8 egg slots to get all I want to holidays. But I’m so proud of finally being able to get checker mates I want so I can breed them at the holidays! That being said its just 3/38 ones...

I have complete my scroll goals for bbws, brimstones, canopies, deepseas, flamingos, moonstones, pillows, and spitfires. I guess it's kind of a half-congrats, because these were all breeds for which I only needed one more dragon to hit the goal, as established when I set the goals and did the Great Dragon Census last week. But it's still nice to start a project with a success, even if it's a small one :D

I love codes so I snagged a "war" code from the cave, refreshed to find a dino, then refreshed to find a gold... and had exactly the egg spaces for all of those. Well I think I just used up my good luck for the year.

I have been very productive in naming dragons for the past week! (Finally!) Realized that the 'site blocker' extension I use could actually block *everything* at once and only allow whitelisted sites.  Silly me never realized that before. So I've been blocking everything but DC and a couple naming sites, and doing small naming-sprees. I've named 73 dragons since the 2nd, which I'd guess is more than I had named in the previous 6 months!

Successfully made my first ND just an hour ago with help from the unofficial discord. :)

Completed my scroll goal for water walkers today. And yesterday I froze the last copper hatchling I needed to have the full set. I still need more CB adults but I've been trying to get that hatchling for a long time.

@Chaosdawn that's really pretty. :) Congrats!

My current 'yay' moment is that I just caught my first rarer dragon since returning to DC...managed to snag a Thunder dragon out of the Desert today.   (Still no CB Spring though, arg!)

After years of trading and hunting and breeding(and even a few painful breeding rejections) my ultimate breeding project is completed. Ladies and gentlemen, here I present my 6g checker from m Gold x f Holly:

Gold_egg.gifhttps://dragcave.net/lineage/KldpZ

He is the only one of its kind. There are a few 5gs floating around that are either my dragons' babies or grandbabies, but he is the only 6g(perfect, non inbred checker that is obviously). As there aren't enough CB female Hollies in existence(to my knowledge) to make a full 7g I can't do much else but stare at it for a while :D

Just want to take this opportunity to pat myself on the back, but also thank all the amazing people that have come out of hiding to help me out with this ❤️ Definitely feeling very lucky here

I was just doing a test-breed for a potential 5-gen inbred white line (because the idea of having 5 gens that's as inbred as possible is amusing to me) and I got a White egg that's got the code "HeaLN"

I am totally gonna have to use that in another lineage as well

Thank you awesome person who offered a flow egg on my CB Pyro Xeno hatchie/Alpine new egg trade! This is my first one! She even has a beautiful code! A name! "Mei". SO cute. I will take good care of her.

I sorted some dragons, and finally the correctly sorted part of my scroll starts on the first page again.

Sure, it's very near the bottom of the first page... but at least this means there are fewer than 500 dragons left to be sorted. (Of course lots of them have to be named first. Working on that, too.)

In other words: successfully procrastinating real-life work.

Edit: ... and only ~700 ungrouped dragons left. Which means I assigned groups to more than 14'000 dragons. Which means I spend too much time on this site. XD

A failure has turned into a success! I was trying to breed an elusive "flow" egg and accidentally stumbled onto a new favorite pairing: venturis x gaia. It isn't the result I was looking for and it's locking me but it's way too pretty to abandon and I want to make a checker now XD
