Posted January 19 6 hours ago, Varislapsi said: @HeatherMarie @purplehaze @Fuzzbucket Then this is so strange! I had really thought that unsuccessful results just wouldn't be listed as a breeding on the log. I've had this problem with the breeding page quite long so it has happened countless times that the breeding attempt won't show if the page got stuck (but yes, the dragons always go on cooldown). After selecting the mate and clicking "Breed" it just can't load the next page and I can't go to any other page or even a completely different site, the only possibility is to close that tab. I think I've just once or twice got an egg from such breeding, otherwise there is nothing on the log and the only things that tell me that they were bred are the cooldown and the new "Last bred" date. I might have asked this before but has this been a wider thing or is just me? That happened to me before when the site was lagging. I was breeding dragons and the results page just wouldn't load. So I came back a little later and the dragons I tried were all on cooldown, action log didn't say they bred but some did have eggs which showed up on my page. Share this post Link to post
Posted January 20 I just tries to breed an Arsani of mine, and got a refuse message. The strange thing is 1) That pair has already bred several times before during Valentine week (they only have Arsani offsprings) 2) The mate was already listed in the first position of the breeding page, and I think they don't if a pair have already bred only during the holiday week, do they? 3) I had fertility used on it How is it possible? If they've only ever bred in holidays before, it's possible they can refuse out of the holiday breeding week.) Edited January 20 by Lagie Share this post Link to post
Posted January 20 It was possible for dragons first paired with each other during holiday seasons to 'secretly refuse' and still produce holiday eggs, but the only way to discover and confirm that was to breed the same pair outside the holiday season and see if they refuse or not. If they do refuse then it means they secretly refused each other on the holiday breeding (which could not be prevented using fertility as it has no effect on holiday breeding). Being listed in the first position doesn't matter, I have holiday x common pairs that can only produce holiday offspring due to refusals and they still show up in the first position on the breeding page when I check. Fertility cannot undo a refusal so if your pair secretly refused during the holiday breeding, they can never produce non-holiday eggs together even if they show up on each other's breeding page and you use fertility. This behaviour changed after other people posted about it confused just like you are, I believe TJ made it so that it's now impossible for secret refusals to happen during holiday breedings - in fact holiday breeding has no effect on the pairs compatibility at all now. I don't believe this fixes old pairs that suffered a secret holiday refusal in the past, the pair will only be compatible on the correct holiday season unfortunately. Share this post Link to post

Posted January 20 I did various activities in the holiday event but didn't get the badge. Did you have to win medals to get the badge? Share this post Link to post

Did you have to win medals to get the badge? you need to do one of the new holiday games (cocoa rush, delivery, snowball shuffle) to get the badge. Not sure if playing snow war works. If you did play these three games and still didn't get the badge...I'm not sure ummm Share this post Link to post

It did the last time I had one. I just bred one today that sorts below my green ones, so we will see in a couple of days whether that holds true or not. Just reporting back to say that the little fellow did indeed hatch green. Share this post Link to post
Posted January 21 Quick question: The wiki says abandoning a green variant Nilia (egg) makes it revert back to the standard blue. But what about trading them? Will they remain green if traded? Or do I have to wait until it's hatched, so it doesn't revert during the trade? Share this post Link to post
Posted January 21 Did the dodge algorithm change recently? I tried to kill some zombie fodder and I got 6 dodges and only 3 successful kills. I feel like in the past it was more like a 1 in 4, rather than 1 in 2 of dodge versus kill. Did I just get massively unlucky? Share this post Link to post

Posted January 21 Another Q for someone who might know... Do dragons on banned scrolls die? I recently saw an adult prize with the description "Unfortunately this dragon has died" but IIRC the only way to get rid of adults is via kill, which leaves "Unfortunately your dragon has been killed" in the description. What happened here? Share this post Link to post

What happened here? It might depend on different things, like when exactly it happened (I believe what happens to burned-scroll dragons has changed a few times over the years) and the circumstances of the scroll-burning. (That said, if you are talking about the Prize with the code 'Abby', that's been talked about around here recently and supposedly it was killed for inappropriate naming, I don't believe it was a scroll-wide burn. I guess with individual dragons killed by admin for inappropriateness it might not show the 'killed' message.) Edited January 21 by HeatherMarie Share this post Link to post
Posted January 21 (edited) It's happened twice to me now that I was responding to a PM message (here on the forum, to be clear) and upon clicking [Submit Reply], the textarea blanked, but nothing was sent (and there was no feedback on the page except for the sudden blank text area). A ctrl+z triggers the restoration of the textarea content; also, if I reload the page, the content is also there, and if I hit [Submit Reply] then, it goes through. (I have not yet tried hitting [Submit Reply] directly after ctrl+z and will try to have the presence of mind to try this next time this happens to me.) Has anyone else had this happen? It's very disorienting. Initially I thought it was a CSRF token that expired, since the first time it happened it took me something like an hour to compose the message, but this time the page was only open for something like five minutes as I wrote my reply. Obviously people can't see the links on your scroll if it is hidden. But if you give someone the link, they should be able to see the group. If you want to check that, click on the link to my Split dragons in my signature. I just hid my scroll and that is a highlighted group. Share this post Link to post

Will it work the same way if I don't have a link in my forum signature but I put something like /group/XXXXX in a trade on the Trading Hub? Example: My scroll is now hidden; can anyone view this highlighted group? Edited January 22 by missy_ Share this post Link to post

Posted January 25 do stunned (blue) electric hatchlings turn back to yellow when traded? curious because wiki states the view-blocking aspect of stun BSA wears off upon trade/abandon. Share this post Link to post
