Arrgh! Was SO pissed when they refused last night that I just got out of DC for a while.

 

My CB Gaia, Aardmoeder and CB Astrapi, Z'Kaunein refused on 16 October much to my disgust. It's not like I have tons of CB Xenos with which to build checkers. Not happy I am.

Now, this has been an undeniable pattern with my dragons - the first time I try a new breed with a CB holiday, they refuse without fail. This has been happening for over a year now. I breed my holidays for gifts and trades quite often, and I'm not kidding when I say the first breeding with a new dragon type has always refused this past year. I'm learning not to try names together that might fit well, although I totally forgot about that today. *sigh*

I really would appreciate it if Fresian DracStar (my female Horse) would take a liking to Pyrokrad DracStar (my male Hellfire). She has refused him for the third time now.

Their polar opposites did just fine on their first try, and I would really like Appiedoom to have a hellhorse partner.

If this is an out and out "refusal"-- "refuse to go near each other".. they will NEVER breed. Don't keep trying.

Don't worry, that's normal. Holiday x Holiday pairings will always refuse unless bred during their seasonal breeding times. Caligene's are Halloween Holiday dragons, so nobody can produce a purebred Caligene until next Halloween. Your pair will like each other then.

 

Bred two new pairs, 1 refusal: Shadow Walker refused the Balloon mate I bred for her. Grr.

I don't usually post here, but I just got 2 refusals in a row, Snow Angel x Sunsong and Ribbon Dancer x Moonstone... getting really tired of seeing my pairs refuse...

I had two significant refusals this past year, between pairings that will be difficult/impossible to replace.

 

One was between heartseeker erENU and purple YEaGt, which I wanted together because of their codes. I had tried to breed them the same day YEaGt grew up. I was able to find a replacement code for the second, but it isn't CB, so I won't be able to make a nice lineage from them.

 

I got my only pair of CB golds a while ago. They bred an egg for me early, which I swapped for another 2G PB, 51Lx9. I tried to breed another 2G PB to be a mate for it, and after a year I finally got 6bc1b. I bred them 10 days after 6bc1b grew up, and they refused. After all that, I really don't have the heart to try to breed another 2G gold.

Posted this in the codes thread right now, but yeah. It really sucked. I don't collect codes EXCEPT FOR THIS ONCE because I randomly had picked up dUnno a long time ago and it seemed silly not to try to find him a coded mate.

I'm dreading to try more, but I guess I have no choice... off to test my other pairs.
