So Your Dragons Refuse To Go Near Each Other

Recommended Posts

My two fourth generation pure bread black dragons that I breed specifically for each other decided to do this. So very sad.

Updated to Wahya's post.

Caligenes sure seem to be pickier than other holidays.

It only seems that way because nobody reports non-refusals here, and these new dragons are too pretty to not be bred wth various new mates.

My Caligenics have been nice so far.

I have have had at least 5 refusals today, possibly more. Two are holiday X white checkers so that means I won't be able to get any whites out of them. Period. mad.gif Vexes me because I was hoping to gift out eggs to people to help them with their projects and now I can't. >.>

Refusals:

- http://dragcave.net/lineage/OEubO and http://dragcave.net/lineage/CJm90

- http://dragcave.net/lineage/UThUC and http://dragcave.net/lineage/Vs7oP

- http://dragcave.net/lineage/GLsW and http://dragcave.net/lineage/KLE9h

- http://dragcave.net/lineage/vVX4b and http://dragcave.net/lineage/KfrjC

- http://dragcave.net/lineage/VAfiC and http://dragcave.net/lineage/oybJQ

That's on top of the other refusals I've had the past week. Kind of afraid of attempting to breed rare dragons in case they refuse. I can deal the with the CB guardian refusals, I have lots of guardians and can deal with it. But the others? That becomes tricky.

Bred Bebe's Gem with Tetraquark. Nov 24, 2015, 10:36 pm

Bred Shining Foille with Copperg D'Qay. Nov 24, 2015, 09:00 pm

Both pairs refused, but eight other new pairs seem to be compatible, even if they didn't all produce eggs.

I have a particular silver tinsel from a gonxtin stair and lucky for me had a mate for her buuuut then refused! I recently summon a GON though and influenced it male so hopefully she won't refuse him then I can allow my future GON to be female. xd.png

I know a few of us have tried posting our percentages/full stats here in the past. I imagine that there would be people willing to participate in a thread that required a more full range of information on refusals, although there'd still be sampling bias. xP

Socky is right. Some people have/ do post percentages of refusals in relation to successful breedings (or no egg/interest), but lots of users prefer to simply post the pairing that refused. It's perfectly fine to discuss more than which dragons refused others, but it doesn't seem like there is much discussion on the mechanic itself.

hmm... how far back do you want info? My breeding records go back to 2009, so I could gather all refusals if you want them.

This was the refusal that hurt the most (Gen2 Thuweds)...

He refused one of my two CB tan ridgewings needed to continue the lineage. If he refuses the second one, I'm gonna be SO MAD at him! mad.gif Edited by *Silver Fox*

I think refusals are most annoying when they're time based, such as the Holiday events.

I've had several refusals, all annoying, but the most recent is particularly irritating. I'm working on a little "song" project with solely Silver Heralds, finally get all the CBs bred and 2nd gen produced.

Then two of the 2nd gen refuse each other sleep.gif

So now I won't be able to finish the lineage liked I'd hoped for another month, if not in the new year. While not as annoying as Holiday ones, it's still really frustrating...

Edit; And just had another one sleep.gif Another pair that were meant to be the perfect mates, Him and her

I bred four of my pairs of blue lunar heralds, and TWO pairs refused. What?! Lame.

I had four dragons meant to be part of a checker, all named properly and such. I tried breeding them; the first week, one pair refused but the other one liked each other. No big deal, switch the pairs, right? Next week, the first male liked the second female, but the second male and the first female refused.

/sigh.

They're not dragons that are hard to replace, but it's just a bit annoying, you know?
