My first Staterae is also my first market purchase. Now debating if I should buy a second one. Who knows if the price will go up... or down... or up... or down... Share this post Link to post
Posted July 2, 2020 I´m 4 weeks short of shards (have 800) to buy a Staterae, when I finally have that much, they will probably be 400 shards more expensive, too *laugh* Share this post Link to post
Posted July 3, 2020 @Confused Cat When I have space, I am going to get a pair of the Staterae, just to be sure! I have only seen a Staterae in the cave once, despite hours and hours of camping during the 5-minute and 1-hour drops. Thus, I am not optimistic about getting some from the cave. I wish that the price goes down when I purchase at the start of the week. 😆 Have you gotten a second one yet? Or are you waiting for the start of a new week? @tjenni Awww! Here's to hoping that it is going to be cheaper next week! 😄 Share this post Link to post
Posted July 9, 2020 (edited) So Magma dragons are 5,200 shards. Why? They pass the chicken egg price at 4,500. And the other two of the trio are really high too. I don't think market and biomes affect the other do they? Because I've seen quite a few trio eggs, more than metallics (barring with this last release) I don't usually focus on the market, barring a few weeks back when I bought a pair of Silvers. Posted July 10, 2020 @BlightWyvern The best guess we have is that Trios make Guardians of Nature which is a super-powered ability so they cost more based on that. Personally I think it's totally weird to see Trios costing that much since it doesn't seem to reflect what most users experience rarity-wise, but that's the best guess as to why. No official word as of yet, I don't think. Share this post Link to post
Posted July 10, 2020 (edited) I've always assumed that trios are massively overbred and their market price is a reflection of how difficult it is to breed trios, much like how blusangs and golden wyverns were popularly bred and have a surprisingly high price but aren't actually all that rare in the cave. Chicken is currently 4,400 shards; Green Dino currently 2000 shards; Purple, Yellow and Blue Dinos currently at 2500 shards. My question is does the price of rares tend to trend downward over time? Share this post Link to post
Posted July 18, 2020 Overall yes they have trended downward but I know they have jumped up in price a few times after new releases. Share this post Link to post

I tried reading through this thread and looking at the spreadsheets to get an idea, but the information is kind of spread out and I couldn’t get a clear picture. I think I remember when Aeons were 100 shards. Could have been right after they released; I don’t know. Share this post Link to post

Can't be; aeons were released two years before the market was even open, and if the spreadsheet linked in the first post is right they started at 800 shards when market was created. I wonder if it's something about the fact that they're two-heads and therefore have a different breeding group..? It's easier to hunt for CB Gilded Bloodscales in the AP than buy one from the market Share this post Link to post

Posted August 30, 2020 hello, market watchers! i've been tracking the prices on my own for some time and was recently directed to this thread. we've had a fair amount of price increases over the past week: aeon +100 shards (1700 -> 1800) cheese +100 shards (2600 -> 2700) fire gem +100 shards (700 -> 800) gemshard +100 shards (200 -> 300) gold +100 shards (2400 -> 2500) golden wyvern +100 shards (1800 -> 1900) magma +100 shards (5000 -> 5100) monarch +100 shards (100 -> 200) nexus +100 shards (1500 -> 1600) sinii krai +100 shards (100 -> 200) green dino +100 shards (1900 -> 2000) on the whole, prices had been trending down for most of the breeds at higher price points, at least over the past few months. a sudden increase for this many breeds makes me wonder if it's a random one-time thing, or if we're standing at the foothills of a more significant spike in prices. time will tell! Prices typically jump up following a release, and then, trend down afterwards. I'm not sure why, but I've seen it happen enough that I consider it normal behavior. Share this post Link to post
Posted September 7, 2020 looks like it was indeed just a temporary price hike. good to know! we've had a few prices go down this past week, but otherwise the market is relatively quiet. gold -100 shards (2500 -> 2400) magma -100 shards (5100 -> 5000) monarch -100 shards (200 -> 100) Share this post Link to post

Posted September 21, 2020 It's super nice to see the big ticket rares go down! Hopefully they go down more! :D But I have to laugh at the dramatic Imperial Fleshcrowne increase; that is HUGE. 🤣 Maybe some big breeding project involving them is going on? That's the only thing I can think of that would increase their market price so much! Share this post Link to post
