Posted September 21, 2020 It's unlikely that it's a big breeding project-- with all the massbreeds of Blacktips not moving their prices at all. What's interesting is the following: -- Tomorrow is the first day of autumn on DC -- From what I remember, Fleshcrownes are a migrating breed like Rift Wyrms, ie they move biomes regularly. I may be misremembering, but I do think they were our first breed to act this way. -- Harvests normally increase price when they, too, move biomes to simulate their scarcity during winter Point 3 normally happens on the first day of winter, but since the seasons ARE changing tomorrow perhaps that has something to do with it? Maybe Fleshcrownes are also going into some sort of hibernation prep? Share this post Link to post

I don't see any indication on the wiki saying they do that, and I don't remember that happening. Share this post Link to post

According to the creator's exposition as quoted on the wiki's page, they aren't much active during the winter and go into hiding other than when collecting food during the day. Maybe they will become scarcer during the DC winter? Share this post Link to post

Also both fleshcrowne and harvest eggs become rarer in autumn-winter, which is intentional. It was asked about and confirmed a few years ago in Help somewhere, just wasn't particularly noticeable before the market. Share this post Link to post

Posted September 22, 2020 Also, with the new release rares have shot up again, with silvers and golds increasing by 100 and magmas by 200. I haven't checked the others. Share this post Link to post

Posted September 28, 2020 hope everyone enjoyed the equinox! as usual, in the wake of the new release, prices have spiked. some good news though! everything that increased in price this week had just decreased the prior week (with the exception of aeons), so it more or less balances out. also, not all of the breeds that changed last time are included today - we have a few that stayed at their lower price! aeon +100 shards (1700 -> 1800) black +100 shards (300 -> 400) blusang +100 shards (1200 -> 1300) fire gem +100 shards (700 -> 800) gemshard +100 shards (200 -> 300) hellfire +100 shards (100 -> 200) ice +100 shards (3700 -> 3800) magma +100 shards (4900 -> 5000) nexus +100 shards (1500 -> 1600) sapphire +100 shards (200 -> 300) silver +100 shards (1700 -> 1800) thunder +100 shards (3600 -> 3700) undine +100 shards (200 -> 300) chicken +100 shards (4200 -> 4300) red dino +100 shards (2500 -> 2600) and of course, equinoxes and mistras are now on the market at 100 shards each! Posted October 26, 2020 happy halloween week! this should (with any luck) be the last bi-weekly update, and i'll be back to weekly updates going forward. we've had a pretty quiet two weeks in terms of price movement. however, staterae xenos have increased for possibly the first time. blusang -100 shards (1300 -> 1200) ice -100 shards (3800 -> 3700) nhiostrife -100 shards (300 -> 200) paper -100 shards (2900 -> 2800) thunder -100 shards (3700 -> 3600) staterae xenowyrm +100 shards (1200 -> 1300) Share this post Link to post

Posted November 2, 2020 good afternoon, dc! with halloween all wrapped up (aside from the ap), we're starting to get our scrolls unlocked from the new release eggs, and... honestly, there's not been much happening on the market, seeing as everyone has been focused on the event breeds. we've only had two price increases this past week: thunder +100 shards (3600 -> 3700) staterae xenowyrm +100 shards (1300 -> 1400) thunders are no surprise, they've been flip-flopping a lot, but you'll notice this is the second week in a row that stats have gone up. i wouldn't panic yet as this may just be due to the usual "new release price spike", but we'll keep an eye on it. Posted November 14, 2020 Staterae prices have gone up for three weeks in a row now (currently 1500); I hope we get a price drop tomorrow. I'm going to wait until it goes back to its base price (1200) before buying another one. Share this post Link to post
Posted November 14, 2020 (edited) I keep forgetting I have enough money now to buy a dino... But WHICH dino is the question... Also, PRICE UPDATE. Because I haven't done it in a bit. Prices for Rare Dragons and Dragons of Interest: Spoiler Aeon Wyvern 1,700 Blusang Lindwyrm 1,200 Cheese Dragon 2,500 Copper Dragons 1,600 Gilded Bloodscale Dragon 1,100 Gold Dragon 2,200 Golden Wyvern 1,800 Harvest Dragon 700 Ice Dragon 3,600 Imperial Fleshcrowne Dragon 1,000 Magma Dragon 4,800 Nexus Dragon 1,500 Paper Dragon 2,800 Silver Dragon 1,700 Thunder Dragon 3,600 Xenowyrm (Staterae) 1,500 Xenowyrms (2020) 100 Xenowyrms (2015) 500 Diplodocus carnegii 2,300 Gallus gallus domesticus 4,100 Parasaurolophus cyrtocristatus 1,900 Pterodactylus maximus 2,400 Stegosaurus stenops 2,500 Triceratops horridus 2,400 Bolded words = Prices or dragons of special interest (to me.) Magmas have stayed under 5000 shards! Hurrah! Nexuses and Glided Bloodscales are still too expensive for their rarity. AnD IMPERIAL FLESCROWNES ARE 1000 SHARDS????!! When did this happen??? Why??? Is it because of their seasonal migration??? (I think they and Harvest dragons are the ones who do that. *leaves Harvests in the list as a comparison* Harvests aren't as expensive though.) ????? Aeons are really expensive now. I remember when they were below 1000 shards. That makes me sad. Anyone have anything interesting they noticed? Now I need to pick a dino that is not yellow or purple (because I have those)... Edited November 16, 2020 by Shokomon Corrections Share this post Link to post

It's a miracle! :O Share this post Link to post
Posted December 14, 2020 (edited) Why is the Magma worth two Golds??? I... I don't understand that math? I've caught a lot of those in my time, and it's hard to trade them for anything good. I'm debating if I should buy a Gold. I only have 2 CBs...out of my goal of 6. But I have zero Staterae. I have enough to buy two of those, or one Gold and one Stat. Siiiiigh...decisions, decisions. 🤔 I feel like the Gold is the way to go, though, considering their current price. (I'm pretty sure I spent 3000+ on the first one I got from the Market, but I can't remember) Thanks @Shokomon for the updates! You're awesome! ETA. I bought a Gold, because when I just looked they were 2,000 shards instead of 2,100 shards right now. I think if this keeps up for another couple weeks I'll be able to actually manage to have two sets of CB Golds! Fingers crossed, anyway. They are are almost the same prices as Silvers. SILVERS! - Also Golds and Silvers are still very cheap. - And Magmas continue to be absurdly expensive. I wonder if there is a lore bit to why Magmas are so expensive. Like you literally have to wade through Magma to get an egg, and that's a very dangerous job? Share this post Link to post
