Solstice Dragons Breeding Plans

I have such a crush on this lineage.

 

I haven't quite figured out what I want to do with my Solstices this Christmas - I love the breed so very much, but there are just so many options. I'll probably do one with Ice and the other with the Winter Seasonal, but I keep wavering over whether I want to pick up a copper-bred one as well. And then there are ALL THE COASTAL DRAGONS whose colors would go so nicely with the Solstice...

 

If I didn't try to avoid breeding Holidays to Holidays, I'd be sorely tempted to do a Heartseeker and a Radiant Angel. Those are gorgeous.

At the moment, I am leaning toward breeding one of mine with a pillow to get a mate for my thuwed solstice pillow, and the other with either a sunsong or (my personal favorite) sweetling. Will definitely be looking to pick up lots of second gen solstice/sweetling eggs regardless. :3

For their first year breeding, I bred on with a Daydream, and the other with an Ice. I think both turned out really pretty!

I did spend a moment considering that pairing. And, since I have one solstice left to breed, may yet do that. But I'm not entirely sure about alt sweetling X solstice. And I like to avoid holiday X holiday pairings (once in a while there may be an exception). It makes it so dang hard to continue the lineage.

 

Edit: I adore your solstices. The darker colors appeal to me.

I bred one of my Solstices named Nishiki with a Thunder named Soramaru Kumo for those of the Donten ni Warau fandom.

 

They look rather nice I think.

I ended up going with Solstice x Black Tea and Solstice x Almandine. And then proceeded to nearly lock myself picking up one each from GoN, Heartseeker, and Radiant Angel.

My sweetling solstice stayed blue, which I believe I'm okay with; I'd have to see a comparison to rosy in longer lineages to say for sure, I think.

So did my GoN solstice, which is a bit unfortunate. The change pairing just doesn't look the same without the warmer tones echoed in the solstice, so those babies will have to wait.

 

My lurker solstice, on the other hand, went rosy and I'm good with that. Helps bring out the highlights in the lurker.

I'm sad. ALL of mine went rosy. I'm debating on releasing the pairings I don't like and starting over next year. It really put a damper on my plans but at least we get both versions now

All but one of mine turned rosy. I don't bother since I like both versions, or to be precise I like the rosy one a bit more.
