Posted March 12, 2014 After what felt like a long wait for the 2nd gen Moonstone (which in reality was 4 wrong eggs with a few "no eggs" thrown in - trying since Nov.), she and her mate gave me this on the first try: http://dragcave.net/lineage/o9Um8 I am delighted! Posted March 12, 2014 http://www.coup-detat.info/NDER/Lineage.ph...e%5Bborder%5D=n Nice! I especially like the top half, even though I'm not a big fan of Moonstones. But they really bring out the bolder colours of the male Swallowtails and they go well with the bottom half of the lineage too. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 12, 2014 You just had to dabble in bleeding moons, didn't you? It's okay, I thought about doing a project or two with them as well. Ya know, I don't know if it actually worked, or if the ratios swung in my favor for a breeding, but I was starting to get super impatient with my whip x albino duo for the whiptails they were dropping (though I too might duck my head since I know there are folks here who have longer progeny pages of wrong eggs). So I gave each parent a fertility influence, left them alone for a few hours, then came back and bred them. They dropped the egg I needed. Might be worth a shot? Tried that, didn't work. *shakes fist in the direction of the offending dragon* Thanks anyway though. lol @daba555- Ooh, that is lovely!~ Share this post Link to post
Posted March 12, 2014 Speaking of Bleeding Moons... I sorted my Fever Wyverns next to them on my scroll (as both breeds have poisonous spikes on their tails), and that gave me the idea to wonder if breeding Bleeding Moons to Fevers would yield more lineage-friendly results because the Fevers should breed rather well, as new as they still are... Has anyone tried that pairing yet? I kinda want to try now but I'm so locked. That aside, I'm so happy that both new breeds are officially common, I love them both. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 12, 2014 Thank you everyone, for saying nice things about my new eggy I'm not letting me hubby near it!!!! I haven't tried breeding the new dragons, I am so wanting to get some progress and maybe a finish on something already being worked on. I'd be interested, too, to find out how it works out. Posted March 13, 2014 Tried that, didn't work. *shakes fist in the direction of the offending dragon* Thanks anyway though. lol Well drat. They're being real pains. Got any friends with bleeding moon armies? Maybe a few weeks of mass breeding with do something to the ratios. Haven't tried that combo (poison sounds awesome!), but I have tried fever x nhiostrife. The breeding was full of fevers. Fever x seragamma was my next round when I got some space, though I expect fevers, just because they're still so new. Finally finished another project. So glad that's done. If I got another whiptail I was gonna pop. Overall though, I'm pleased by the results. Share this post Link to post

Posted March 13, 2014 (edited) So, this one's parents *just now* became breedable again, and I bred them less than a minute later than last week (plus 1 hour for DC's Daylight Saving thing, it seems - by my own non-DST-obfuscated time, it's still just 1 minute later). Nocturnals are in their day form for >100 minutes already. Action Log says: Bred Brenda Byrne with Cai Saburra. Mar 13, 2014, 07:43 am Result: http://dragcave.net/lineage/ydrMe Now if this one turns a NIGHT Glory, too, I'll throw a really nasty fit! Posted March 13, 2014 Well, it certainly should be a Day Glory. I can't imagine why the one you bred last week wasn't! You might want to take a screenie of your action log for proof in case this one goes Night Glory, too. Share this post Link to post

Posted March 13, 2014 An Ochre would have been just as disappointing You know, I never even looked - I didn't realize it was an ochre/glory pairing. But yes, that would have been just as sorry a result. Glad it worked out! And even if it goes night glory, you have your evidence Share this post Link to post

Posted March 13, 2014 I proudly present my first completed line http://dragcave.net/lineage/6Qqgb Good job! Did combining all those eager breeders in one lineage make it easier to get a balance of breeds? They look quite nice together. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 13, 2014 Hmm, i found the Crimson/Salty part in the AP, so i can't say for sure. But it wasn't really difficult to build the Seragamma/Salty part. They bred quite good. Far apart from beeing as /&äß%)#´ as my other projects. Sorry couldn't use an appropriat word... Share this post Link to post

Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) OKAY I give in. I've been following this since it started because the lineages turn out really pretty, so I'm finally gonna join. Commons are lovely! Forum name: SockPuppet Strangler Scroll link: http://dragcave.net/user/SockPuppet%20Strangler Can people PM you and request eggs?: Sure. I've listed fails you can request from as well. If yes, any requirements?: Nah. Just know that I'm usually locked, so I may not be able to fulfill requests as soon as you ask. ***My lineage plans*** My problem (which has made me debate joining for a while) is that I wanna work with a lot of the newer breeds with older breeds, and you all know how that is going... However if you want to chase down those combos, go for it, I bet they would look awesome, but have patience. Worse come to pass, you can always re-vamp a project. It's not like anything is set in stone Can't wait to see your plans! Tah Dah these were all on my scroll but never bred- at least not to each other Hurray! That's really interesting. I don't think I would have put those together, but they look nice. Speaking of breeding mishaps, my 2nd gen pair thankfully likes each other, but they gave me the wrong egg.
