Now i keep thinling the poor fellow who APed the Brim and made me happy, was perhaps desperatly trying for a Teimar....

But then again it was that pairs first child.

 

I agree, it might be not pure luck that some pairs of nearly the same rarity and nearly the same release date do produce only one breed.Yeah, i know Brims are (a few month) older and perhaps there's more of them as there is of the Teimars....but to such an extent?

Not everything in the world of dragons can be explained with ratios..... Dragons are mysterious creatures.....

I never thought I'd have trouble getting Daydreams.. lol I knew the Bleeding Moons are still pretty dominant, but Guardians?

 

Could anyone here use a 3rd gen Daydream x Guardian (Gone. Enjoy, milkaq66. ^-^) or a 2nd gen Bleeding Moon x Daydream (Gone to the AP.)?

I have a lineage project in the works using Seragammas and Guardians and I get nothing but Seragammas when I need to get Guardians for half of my project x3

That's how it goes sometimes.. Hopefully the 'newer' breeds will calm down soon.

 

I think I may have a theory on the scarcity of Daydreams, though, people breeding for Soulpeaces. They're not as easy to get as the other Hybrids (like Blunas or Shallow Waters, which seem to have a higher success rate of being bred) so more Daydreams and Whites are being produced instead from said breedings, and so those two breeds are getting less common because of the ratios. (If I'm understanding the mechanics correctly, and I'm probably not. lol Rant over.)

 

Edit to add: Which I guess is the point of creating hybrids, to help make commons more desirable so that more will be raised. Which is nice, but it's still a bit annoying when you need one of said common. <_< Now I'm tempted to suggest a Bleeding Moon/Seragamma crossbreed.

I had thought of that, but then in breeding blacks/whites to get blacks, got a ton of whites

 

I think it depends on what breed you're breeding them too, also.

 

But in the end it all boils down to: Dragons will do what dragons do.

I'm racking my brain for good combinations for a Brute Lineage, I already have a f Brute x m Brimstone I quite like, but... I also like Pillow and Stone but the yellow of the Brimstone doesn't go that well with either. Or maybe Horse... ?

Well, I'm completely locked with new release eggs anyway, so I have time to mull it over.

I'm curious to see how your Neotropicals behave. I don't want to scare you, but this is my attempt to get a Pebble egg from a Neotropical. Although our theory is that breeding behaviour may vary from dragon to dragon.

Congrats on the finish, dragonpuck! Good luck with the Flamingo x Black Tip. I have been trying that combination with 3 pairs of dragons since November and have no Flamingo yet! Admittedly I don't breed them faithfully every 7 days, but I have thrown a lot of Black Tips to the AP! I can be as stubborn as the dragons, though, so I will keep trying!

 

I like the Brute x Horse combination, dustpuppy. They are well-matched in size and body type. Or how about Brute x Trihorn?

Just did a test of a neo x pebble (I only have one cb female pebble =o ) and also got a neo. =o

Sorry to hear about your frustration. Some lineages just get stuck at some point. Just like the Pebble x Neotropical arrowhead I started at the same time as two other arrowheads which are now almost done, and the Pebble is still at the "CB pair gives wrong eggs" stage.

That does look a lot better than I would have thought. I think I'll abandon Brimstone for now and try to decide if I like Black Tea or Tri-Horn better with Brute and Horse. I like the sprites of Black Tea better, but Tri-Horns are more agressive (like Brutes and Horses) and the colour is closer to the other two breeds.

Duotones would look great as well, but sadly (luckily ?) that's not an option.

I gave those away because I was trying to get stone and gray for the outsides, next time I get the wrong breed I'll keep them and have a match for yours - yes, really pretty!

 

I did send one to the AP last night, I think Figured I'd already given one away, and nobody would want it. Now I wish I had it

 

Sock: I am so sorry for your refusals, I swear, there just keep being more and more. Let's gang up on TJ - someone mentioned a BSA for the Radiant Angels to reverse refusals, maybe a one-time try only and if it doesn't work you can't try again, but you might be able to get compatibility. I think it would be fantastic!!!!!

Don't give up right after the third one, my Nebulas gave me the right colour on the 4th try. (Although Hellfires sounds pretty too).
