Vrael's head shook and the sounds were amplified. "Whoever ismaking that noise... STOP IT!" he roared. He was in a state, much like a hangover therefore making every sound he heard ring in his ear's. Each time that scientist banged the top of the cage, Vrael's vision shook.

Looking over toward's Tyra's cage Vrael noticed tiny fragments of ice littering her cage floor. Vrael was slightly concerned now, remembering the events that took place within the test labs and the experiments which involved him freezing glasses of water. He started to pace back and forth within his cage impatiently.

After what seemed like ages, Vrael watched as a pink creature deposited her back in her cage and gave her a chunk of meat. Vrael's concern vanished as he watched the fresh chunk of meat land on her cage floor as if in slow motion. "THATS NOT FAIR!" Vrael shouted, while sticking his head out of the cage and looking in the direction of the pink creature. Angry that he had once again been overlooked Vrael let loose a hatchlings roar. Cold air escaped his mouth and slowly encased the bars of several cages in a thin sheet of frost.

The scientist turned around feeling a cold draft and looked directly at Vrael. A look of anger etched on his face. Vrael immidiately tried to withraw his head back into the cage but found that he could not. The frost had caused his red collar to get stuck onto the bar and therefore did not allow Vrael to squeeze his head back in. The scientist proceeded to open the cage door and in turn drag Vrael's body out as he hanged there in mid air, only his neck and the red collar attached to the door was keeping him from falling.

The scientist proceeded to yank Vrael out affectively hurting his jaw and held him in mid air. One hand had a firm grip around Vrael's tail and another around his neck. Vrael tried to wriggle free but to no avail. "Quick, GET THE MUZZLE!" the scientist shouted to one of the intern's. A Tall lanky kid walked in with what looked to be a dog muzzle and quickly attached it on to Vrael. After this was done, the scientist carried him over to a cage in the back of the room and threw him in, causing vrael to slide and hit the back. "Make sure this one isn't fed for 48 hours. Only give him water once every six hours and tell the other's that under my order this nuisance is to be left in solitary confinement for the 48 hour period"

This cage was different to the other's. It had no bar's, it resembled a steel box more then a cage and the only source of light came through a small opening on the top that was sealed by wired mesh.

Vrael lay there in the darkness and tried to claw the muzzle off.

Tyra sat down after her precious chunk of meat was gone. Peering down at her side, she saw a minute trickle of red liquid forming where the scientist had caught one of her frosty scales and yanked it off. What is that stuff? she wondered worriedly. By instinct, she licked the wound a few times. The red stuff tasted coppery and weird. Finally, it stopped bleeding and Tyra's head jerked up as she heard Vrael roar in outrage.

Vrael's head was stuck between the bars! She quickly limped as fast as her three legs could carry her to the wall of bars that made up a side of her and Vrael's cages. "Vrael!" She made concerned squeaks and chirps, trying to help him get his head unstuck. Just then, that scientist heard the rucus and yanked open Vrael's door, hurting the male ice hatchling's neck. Tyra squealed and roared frantically as the two legged forcefully pulled Vrael's head out and put this weird, black cloth thing around his snout. "Let him go! Please, just leave him alone!" she cried, even though she knew the two leggeds couldn't understand her. "Why are you taking him away?!" Tyra screeched, hobbling back and forth nervously.

An intern followed the older scientist as he dumped Vrael in solitary confinement and barked his orders. "U-uh, sir? Are you s-sure that's such a good idea?" she stammered, "I mean...look at the female. She was all calm before but now she's making a terrible clatter and, and-"

"These hatchling's need to be taught a lesson. I will not tolerate out of control dragon's in this laboratory!, Do you understand?... and as for that one" he said, glaring towards the female ice hatchling. "If she start's to get out of control and cause a fuss, sedate her" the scientist said, before storming pass the intern and exciting the room.

Vrael lay there alone in the dark confined cage. He had given up trying to get the muzzle off his face. It was strapped on too tight for him to squeeze out of. His jaw ached due to being yanked out from between the bars.

-While Isthalas was sedated and unable to move scientist began to make preparations for her so she could be awake during proper hours. This would be beneficial for their studies and also for her. Pulling her out from her cage they placed the large hatchling inside of a temporary cage across the room. The bars faced the other cages and if Isthalas were awake she could see every single one of them, and no doubt they could see her, but she would appear dead. From her cage loud noises of shifting and clanging could be heard while they put up opaque black screens along the walls of her cage and replaced the swinging bar door with a solid black one. Once that was done they picked up her cage and carried her off to a lab room. There they began numerous tests and experiments with what they had on vampire dragons including her own genes in a glass vile nearby. They were attempting to change her natural function of shutting down during the day. This process would be long and strenuous. Since it was still daytime, the ones working on her would need to move swiftly in the few hours they had until nightfall. Most of the scientists were doing this out of sheer boredom of waiting for her to grow up, but in any case they were doing it. Isthalas was hooked up on wires and tubes and they placed an air mask over her face. Once everything was in place they stuck a multitude of patches on her face, neck, arms, legs, torso and even her tail and back. Then, they stuck a needle into the crook of her right front leg and put her into a glass cage. Slowly, they filled the cylinder with warm water and began to pump a sedative into her body to keep her comatose in case somehow she should wake up. They intended to test her limits-

((My hatchlings won't die, no matter what they do. Until they're old enough, at least.))

Moonlight got up, and started clawing at her door. A scientist looked at her for a few moments, then walked away. She started chirping, and banging her sides against the cage. She had already ate all of her food and slept, so she was full of energy for a change. She fell down after a while, her sides bleeding. She made a sad chirp, and licked a bit of her side. She tilted her head. Strange taste... She thought.

Anniena woke up and screeched louder then she ever did, which echoed loudly across the room. She continued screeching, then started hitting the cage bars with her tail. Neither her tail or the bars got wrecked, or even had a mark. She continued screeching though, and started to wander in her cage.

The intern fumbled with her papers and clipboard, hurrying to Tyra who was still being quite noisy and upset since Vrael was taken away. "Shush now!" she demanded, "You're going to get me in trouble!"

Tyra glared at the intern, sensing that she wasn't very much of a threat and continued whimpering and chirping sadly. The intern sighed then hurried off to grab a sedetive.

((Ok, posted in the OoC. I keep spelling Anniena's name wrong...Anyways, how much longer 'til the hatchlings get into the exercise room?))

Annie screeched again, and rammed herself head-first in the cage door. She fell over, confused. Moonlight looked at Annie sadly. Is this how it's going to end? They both thought together.

Moona screech and curled up into a ball, rolling out of the room. She didn't feel anymore buns, and she was not hurt. She just ran back into her cage to see Ryder with a bloody spot where one of his claws should have been."R-Ryder! You claw!" she gasped looking through the bars. Apparently, she saw he was asleep, so went to sleep also. The scientists locked her cage again even though she just wanted to stay with her friends. The scientist walked away, looking at his notes of everything she didn't like." so if we took her friends away," e began." but we can't! We can't kill them unless there grown so we can make our jewelry!" a female said." no I mean give them to another company!""but we wouldn't get the feathers or... Any of that stuff!" they were arguing.

Song woke up to find herself in the Exercise Chamber. She felt no trace of energy; she must have been hit with another dose before she was put in the room. Thirsty, she dragged herself over to the water-holding things and plunged her muzzle in. It was nice and cold, soothing her sore throat. Her whole body hurt from colliding with the round things. With a tiny yawn, she curled up on the floor by the bowls and was soon snoring away.

After her momma had to leave, Fusion whimpered as her dadda left the room as well. Now she was alone except for the other lizard-like creatures in boxes like hers. Fusion crawled over to the metal box on her left. Who was in there? She didn't know their name. "Mommmmaaaa..." She whined as she pawed at her cage door. "Mommmaaaaaa!" She called out once again. Her Dadda was back now and he opened her door. He reached in and picked Fusion up around her waist, pinning her dorsal fin down so the spines wouldn't prick his hand. Fusion squirmed.

Daddy held her too tight! His hands were too cold! She watched as they walked from the room with all th cages into a room with a big table in the middle. Daddy dropped her on the table and she felt her bones rattle and pop with sickening sounds. She moved her legs, tail, and neck, and could feel that nothing was broken, just shaken.

Before Fusion could make a move, Dadda pressed her into the hard metal table, pain surged through her waist and chest as several scales were plucked from her back and her underbelly. She squealed, not used to the feeling of pain. "Daadddddddaaa!" Fusion screamed, squirming from his grasp and licking the areas of raw skin. Other human walked in and collected her scales. Another jabbing pain surged through Fusion's body as the second scientist injected more sedative into her body.

"We'll have to adjust her dosage, it wears off too quickly. And we better do it quick before her claws harden." The second one said.

"Fine, I'll take care of it, just put her into the excercise room, Carol." Dadda said.

A third scientist, a female, nodded and picked the hatchling up from the table. Fusion growled at this and was about to bite the scientist's cold, gloved hand, but the sedation took its tole and the baby fell asleep in the cold hands.

The scientist carried Fusion to the excercise room and tossed her down on the fake grass. "Here you go, you snake with legs." The human snapped at her. The weary Fusion silently hissed back, preffering to sleep on the hard floor. She lookeed around the room, taking in what little she saw. Other creatures were there.

The intern hurried back as quickly as she could. However, when Tyra saw the needle, her eyes widened and she backed up as far as she could. She had been in the facility long enough to know that those pointy things meant pain and she whimpered, almost wishing she'd stayed quiet. The intern unlocked the cage and stepped in, hands trembling. She obviously wasn't very good at this. She reached down to grab hold of Tyra but the ice hatchling was too quick and she dodged the attempted snatch. Even with her sprained shoulder, Tyra was quick and meant fo agility rather than brute strength. "H-hey, come back here!" the frantic intern cried, chasing the little blue hatchling in circles around the cage. In fact, they looked quite comical.

Ocius lifted his head when he saw Tyra running from a scientist. He couldn't help but laugh at the scientist, who was failing to catch the injured Tyra. "Go Tyra!" Ocius cheered, glad to see one of the scientist's having a hard time.

Tyra turned her head, spotting Ocius, as she ran. She managed a smile and squeaked in delight. Hey, this is kinda fun..., she thought. However, all fun must come to an end and the intern finally managed to grasp Tyra by the tail and pick her up. Tyra squawked in protest but the intern had a firm grip on her now and she couldn't risk injuring her arm any further.

Moona watched as Tyra was taken by the tail."Tyra!" she shouted. She looked at Ocius." Well I can't go through these bars..." she muttered. A scientist came for her." more tears." the scientist muttered tried to get Moona out, but Moona dodged." get over here!" the female scientist yelled finally grabbing the moonstone at the end of her tail." I can't wait to kill these pesos and get more." she muttered. Moona squealed as she was put upside down by the tail. They once again had done the laser thing. But this was not Moonas fear. " he is not scared!" a scientist said." well we can't take away the others! What other way can we make her cry?""Loneliness?" a scientist said." YES!" they put her in a room that seemed to have no door. It just had metal as the walls and floor and ceiling.

Ocius stood there, and watched helplessly as Moona and Tyra were taken away. He whined a bit, but then ended up just curling up again, waiting for one of them to get back.

The intern stood with Tyra in one hand. She juggled the hatchling until she had Tyra wedged under her right arm and she could grab the syringe from her pocket. Tyra cried out in pain as she jabbed the needle between Tyra's scales and injected the sedetive. "J-just settle down!" she demanded.

Tyra whimpered, tears beginning to roll down her cheeks. Her vision began to blur and she felt so...so sleepy... The female ice hatchling's head slowly drooped as she drifted into unconsciousness. "Finally!" the intern gasped, out of breath. "He wasn't kidding, she is quite fast..."

"hello?" Moona said looking around in confusion."Ryder?Tyra?Ocius? Where are you?" she sobbed. There was a grate underneath her. Theaters would fall in there and turn the flowing water to moonstone dragon tears." Where's my friends?" she sobbed curling into a ball." and my food?" she added. A scientist came in."Now, we're gonna put a Ice dragon here..." she said pickin up Moona and throwing her onto of the cage. Knowing that she failed, the scientist threw Moona several times failing each time, then she finally got Moona in the cage. Moona felt sick like she was going to throw up, so he quickly ate the meat and fell asleep so no mess or "Eww!" would happen.

Ryder's eyes went wide when Moona was taken again. He pushed his face through the bars and called her name. After a while he gave up calling, but felt bad anyway. A scientist peaked trhough his cage. "This oone has a few more weeks." he said pointing a pencil at him. "He is one of our biggest," the scientist countinued. The man nodded and peered at Ryder. "Heeey, where is his claw?" the scientist blinkined in confusion. He looked at Ryder and stuttered, "Uh... Uhm... i... don't know...." Ryder hissed and snapped at the man and he backed away. "Well, thats why we keep them, so FIND IT!" the man yelled at the terrified scientist and then went away.

"W-wait, why do we need to put t-the ice dragon in confinement?" the intern stuttered, confused as she held the limp hatchling. "Don't we need to keep the Moonstone in there so we can g-gather more tears?"

"hmm but dont we need ice dragon tearsbin water so it can mix in with te moonstones and create and unbreakable Moonstone/Ice Stone? Put them both in." a scientist said. A mad looking scientist grabbed Moona by the ear. Moona felt like it would fall off, but she was thrown in the room which Tyra would be in with her soon.

" ok so, they'll mature in about....5 or 4 days...""FINALLY! They're all messing with us!"" yeah ad then we can sell the items and ge new ones."" how about to celebrate... We throw them out the window?"" that doesn't kill dragons."" throw them in Glass??""We'll need weapons to kill them." they all talked.

"Hey!" A stern, older looking scientist walked into the group of scientists. "Oh, shut up you idiots!" she demanded fiercely. "You should all know dragons don't grow up THAT fast. It'll be at least a couple months, if not more!" He glared at them all. "Now get on with your business, disperse!!" he instructed, "If the people funding this facility found out what we do here, we'd be ruined. So get on with yours tests!"

The intern held Tyra tightly. At the scientist's shouting, she nodded frantically. She then placed the unconscious ice hatchling into the special room and laid her down.

Moona watched for a moment."They did talk about me and someone else." she muttered. She just sat there, looking at the grate.

The older scientist rubbed his chin. "The female ice? Isn't she injured? We don't want to kill her early..." he stated, thinking.

Tyra whimpered a bit in her sleep. However, she was relieved of the pain because of the sedetive and for this, she was thankful.

"well we might as well put them both in the room and put some drugs in one of there drinks so try fight eachother." a female said." with no killing! One of them will cry because they thought that dragon was her friend." se smirked." than we can wait for the ice to recover an as adults see how strong they are... Well need to do this test once a week...."

The scientist straightened up. "Very well. Though we have to wait until the ice female's arm has healed. We don't want her fracturing the bone... so for now, let them rest in their proper cages. After they've healed, then we can begin the tests." He waved his hand and walked off. The intern hurried to do what he commanded, picking up Tyra then Moona. She then carried the two hatchlings to their cages and laid them down. She covered Tyra and Moona with thin, ragged, patched blankets, feeling a little compassion, then locked the cages and left. Tyra settled down and slept peacefully, the threat now gone temporarily.
