Posted January 25, 2013 This project is finally finished! It has taken me so long. It really looks so pretty right now while the Nocturnes are alive. I based the lineage on the Oneiroi, the personified concept of dreams in parts of Greek mythology. I chose Pinks for Morpheus, who excels in presenting human images, Fogs for Phobetor who deals in beasts, birds and serpents, and Nocturnes for Phantasos who handles images of earth, rock and wood. I also chose those three breeds because I think they look good together, especially when the Nocturnes turn that beautiful blue, otherwise I think I would have loved to pick something less... well, pink, or less pale at least, for the Morpheus element. (I'm not an alt fanatic at all....no.....) Nerven, that's a lovely lineage - and it looks great with the nocturnes grey as well as when they are blue. Posted January 25, 2013 (edited) I got a shiny! I traded for the father, tried him with various mates, then eventually found the gray on the AP and thought they would make a pretty pair. Even though it's not a perfect match, I like the way the grays balance the alt sweetling, and the shadow walkers take the place of the female silvers. And another shiny! I tried my only 2nd gen gold again today and got my 2nd offspring I also tried a sort of random mate for my 3rd gen silver because it keeps refusing everything "planned" for it. As I'm on the list for one of lulu-witch's lovely rainbow Nebs, I thought I might start breeding a mate... with a difference! My plan is to "mirror" the Nebula colours by using coloured Stripe checkers, but since there's no Purple Stripe, I decided to use a purple Dorsal/black Stripe checker instead. Thus, this! I was expecting more of a struggle, but I guess the current breeding rates are in my favour. (Also, if the purple Dorsal I abandoned is still in the AP when my Silver hatches, I'll hopefully be able to grab it and have a breeding pair ready to go...) Thanks Shamiir! I need to train myself not to rely on other people for getting mates all the time! Whatever I breed won't be a perfect match, but I can at least build something that looks nice. I don't know if I have the patience to take it out further. >.> But if I change my mind, I have enough CB royal blues to go to 7th gen (and lots more guardians than that). Thanks! It was pretty difficult in places, I kept getting so many purples, but thanks for the alt luck! And thank you to all the compliments on the Oneiroi lineage, I'm so pleased with the results. Posted January 26, 2013 I got a nice Gen4 Black and Gold pair that are influenced to be mates- the baby will be so pretty, except that one little thing sticks out in the Gen1... Pebble! Whats even nicer is to see 2 of my dragons in the lineage, I am glad to see their egg went to a good home! (Finneghan and All Hallowed Eve are mine). Lulu_witch, I have a few red dorsals and marrows I could bred you an unrelated 3rd gen, would just take some time since I'd have to start from scratch. If you dont mind the wait toss me an mail and I"ll make a note to work on them weekly for you. You can have the 2nd gen eggs actually, if you'd rather them be on your scroll, I dont need them Dimar, that cracks me up! Its like the pebble was hoping no one would notice lol.
