I know it is not mine, i know it cannot be helped. i can't take it out of the ER though, as i didn't put it there...

it's ok though if it dies, i mean it's sad! but it was unloved or immaturely taken care of/forgotten

How do you know it was unloved or forgotten?

Some people take messy lineaged eggs to turn into Neglecteds.

Some people don't post their eggs to click sites until they're very low on time for lots of reasons - lessens the risk of it getting sick, they may be out of town and don't want the egg to hatch until they get back, neglected experiment, it's being offered in a trade and they don't want it to hatch yet etc etc. I personally don't post mine to click sites until they are at 4 days or under.

Siliskor is right. It's sad but true - once you breed and release an egg, your rights to it end.

If I were attempting a neglected experiment and someone tampered with my eggs, I'd be furious. In fact, if anyone tampered with my eggs for just about any reason at all, I'd be furious. There is just really no way to know what the intentions of the person who picked up the egg are short of contacting them. It's just a risk you run as a breeder. Some will die. I try not to focus on those, and instead, focus on the GOOD homes I've found for my dragon offspring.

Back to topic, I've noticed more and more people keeping my surname (Corvus) as part of their dragons' names on some of the babies I've bred. I love it! I love when my bred babies get named, period, but it's even better when it includes my surname. Thanks to those adopters! wub.gif

hehe Very nice name choice!

I'm so excited right now because I bred an egg as part of an IOU and after the egg hatched, the person continued the lineage name I am using. So far I think that may be a first for me! happy.gif

I'm fairly certain that this little gem was named after his father. ;u; (and mother, maybe, if you take 'Immortalize' and remember how Augustus Caesar was "immortalized" once he passed, where dying = 'bane' xP)

Not as certain whether the grandson was named after his father&grandfather (Marc Antony, anyone?) but I thought it was interesting to note as well. x3

<3

Edit: Just found out a little nebbie had been named after her 'regal' mother. :3

This Shallow Water is a favorite of mine. I love how they mashed the parents' names together. Thanks to whoever did that!

Whoever adopted this red Ridgewing must have thought the father's name was a reference to Spyro. It's not, just a random name and a creepy coincidence. The offspring's name made me smile. smile.gif

This Royal Blue makes me chuckle. Its owner must have been out of name ideas. But even so, I'm flattered they used the parents' names.

I really like doing this, particularly when I'm stumped for names. I've also seen at least five or six of my dragon's children or grandchildren with my clan name, Paradox, in their names, and that's always very cool.

I do my best to name my dragons after their parents. Unless I see their parents names as either too random, or I cannot figure out their theme. In cases like the latter I usually name it something of my own as to not deter from whatever theme the owner of the parents was going for.

If there's a last name, however, I almost always try to use it.

Same, but so often the parents are unnamed. It's upsetting.
