Naming, after parents.

Recommended Posts

As I often gift, trade or breed/abandon even gen eggs, a lot of them get named, after the parents, my scroll or my suffix.

After someone reported the 3rd gen female they found on AP, I offered them the 3rd gen male as a breeding partner. So they named the 3rd and 4th gens after me - but maybe it's a bit much, done this way... blink.giflaugh.gif

Decided to look at one of my newer pairs of mostly AP dropping dragons and saw this. :D Since this fella has been bred (I love it when people extend lineages of my babies. Like, you don't even understand .___. XD) to a nameless dragon, I got curious and Googled his name. Apparently it means Hunter/Huntress. :D

I named a Pumpkin I caught in the AP this year after its parents, often the name Misha is used as a diminutive for Michael in Russian, and my grandfather's name is Michael (whose childhood nickname happens to be Mishka, which is also a diminutive for bear in Russian). wub.gif So, Mishka's Treat. :3

She was named after her mother, Condemn. <3

Admittedly, this one may not be named after the father (Petit) but still it's a cute name!

These are lovely surprises given that only four Halloween dragons that found their way to different scrolls were even given names at all. (that was slightly disappointing - I always look forward to seeing what people name my dragons' offspring, naming after them or otherwise!)

I love naming after parents, especially if I like the line. Here are a few:

http://dragcave.net/lineage/H3WaC => possessive, aren't we?

http://dragcave.net/lineage/FGtu4 => Not really the parents, named after the lineage. I wanted PANDEM0NIUM but it was already taken.

http://dragcave.net/lineage/QF9Vn => gotta love the father's code. I kept it only for that reason.

http://dragcave.net/lineage/H1Drg => Aw, someone named it after its parents

I lovethis lineage that I worked so hard on, and almost every time I gift or drop an egg from the final pair, the baby gets an appropriate name. I love it!

That is a freaking amazing lineage. xd.png I lurv it. ^>^

Did another massive round of naming-after-parents, but this was probably my favorite. Cute little AP catch. biggrin.gif

This one was interesting to name. I used the father's name and the last three letters of the mother's name. Which is funny because the old German way is Rumpelstilzchen.
