Holmar sighed, and said, I'll dig a grave. I believe that the tradition is to put the body under six feet of dirt. Holmar grabbed one of the larger branches from the tree, and used it to help him dig. It was tiring, but peaceful. Holmar finished the grave in a surprisingly short amount of time. There, he said, panting, it's ready. Do you want to lower her in, or should I?

Stars nodded.

"I'll do it." Flapping her wings, she slowly went inside of the grave and gently lowered Cream's body onto the dirt. She quickly flew out of the hole and grabbed a branch.

"I'll help." She shoveled dirt inside.

"Goodbye, friend," she whispered. She didn't know her that much but she was a fellow mate after all.

Holmar nodded, and threw in a pawfull of dirt, forlornly. After that, he continued to use a branch to fill in the grave, and placed the branch in the ground at the head of the grave as a marker. That way, he said, we'll always remember where she lies. Holmar sat down on the log, thinking.

Stars was actually seething in anger towards the person who'd done this.

"I'm. Going. To. Find. The. Others," she said between clenched teeth. She took off, running. Whoever Sparsus was, he was going to pay.

Moon Puff decided to follow him back to the cave. He nodded goodbye to the other two and walked after Troulce, Jade in his paws. He parted ways from him when they reached the cave and returned to his spot. He fell asleep almost immediately, with Jade snuggled up in his paws in front of him.

We woke up after a rest in the cave with lots of other hatchlings where Dabberjack brought us. Though... we couldn't really sleep because lots of the hatchlings were quite hyper-active... or for other reasons such as what happened yesterday.

"Anhrak... I don't really like it here..." Rascha said quietly to me when we were both awake.

"Neither do I, but at least it's safe here. Remember that orange dragon that wanted to eat us? I don't really want that to happen again." I said.

"...Speaking of which, that wound on your head, it hasn't mended yet. Are you sure that it shouldn't be treated? It... doesn't look good." Rascha said a bit worried about the wound. I remember that it was caused by that orange dragon when he almost grabbed me.

"I know, and it's hurting too, but I have other things to actually focus on right now. Where would we actually go if we should leave this place? Remember, they are huge." I said, trying to let Rascha know that probably more of those bigger dragons were wandering about outside.

"...I don't mind, but just not here." Rascha said.

"If we want to go elsewhere, we need someone to escort us to there, just like that blue dragon did... uhm, his name was Dabberjack I believe." I said. It was kind from him to bring us to safety... especially when you know that some dragons can't resist a meal that can't fight back.

"yes, but first you should get that wound treated. It might get worse." Rascha said, while she pushed me a bit, signalling that I should go find one of those adult dragons, to mend that wound.

Volter decided that he should try to look for others again soon... Troulce was one dragon, one dragon who probably was less liked than himself. Pulling himself together, Volter walked in the direction of the cave in full view of anyone on the way.

Holmar ran after Stars, in an attempt to stop her, and shouted, Stars, wait! We can't get to the hatchlings in time, Sparsus will have gotten back! However, we can use our telepathy to tell the others. Holmar stopped chasing her, and sent out a message to all of the hatchlings, including Sparsus himself. Do not trust Sparsus. He killed another hatchling, Cream Paler. I repeat, do not trust what he says, and refuse to let him into the cave. He must pay for what he did, and we must get rid of him. Holmar lay on the ground, tired. It had taken quite the effort to send that message to every hatchling, but Holmar knew that it would reach them in time.

Stars stopped abruptly. She turned and walked back to Holmar. She knew that he was right. Then a thought struck her.

"Holmar, when you sent everyone the telepathic message...did you send it to Sparsus too?" she asked, for the message had also been sent to her.

Moon Puff woke up with a jerk. Who, what, where? Had it been a dream? Something about Sparsus killing Cream Paler. He yawned. If it was a dream, it was a weird dream. But he wasn't stupid. He knew what it was like to receive a telepathic message and it definitely wasn't like a dream. Okay, maybe it was but he wasn't having any dreams in his sleep. Well, now he was confusing himself. He decided to ask the nearest hatchling he saw, which was a Black hatchling with another Black that looked a little different.

"Hey, um, did you by any chance receive a telepathic message about Sparsus killing Cream Paler?" he asked, as Jade flew over unsteadily and sat on his shoulder. She must've just woken up as he had set her against the wall when he'd left to talk to these two hatchlings.

Cerise was too shocked to care about the fawn. She quickly ran, almost glided, to where they were currently burying her. She didn't weep though.

When Cream was buried, she stood there with a solemn face. "She wouldn't have done us any good, anyhow." She thought with a shrug.

She walked to confront Sparsus and found him in a cave. She silently walked in and asked, "Why'd you do it?" With a solemn face. She now knew he was strong enough with his mind to uproot a tree, so she closed her mind as much as possible.

-----------------------------------------

"Let's go! I can't wait to do those tricks like you!" She said with a grin. She galloped quickly to an open field.

She quickly flapped her wings, hoping to gain altitude. She was starting to lift off the ground, but it startled her.

Daralis tripped, nearly landing on her face. She quickly regained balance and blushed with a sheepish smile.

Alatum grinned at Daralis.

"You almost had it." He said. "With a couple more tries you'll probably get the hang of flying. Here, just get a bit of a running start, and as you begin to flap your wings, leap into the air to help get you started."

Alatum then did what he said, hoping that he wouldn't fail. Luck was with him, and he did not. He soared above Daralis, and towards the trees, quickly turning back so he didn't get to far from her.

Daralis backed up and steadied herself. She pushed off the ground and started galloping quickly.

She began flapping her wings and leapt into the air as he said. She did stay in the air! It was a wonderful feeling.

She wobbled a bit teetering to the left, but she regained her balance. She soared, grinning at this new ability. She found Alatum and flew right next to him.

"This is so fun!" She yelled above the rushing air. She flew down and landed almost decently. "Let's have a race!" She suggested.

"See! You're getting the hang of it!" Alatum said as Daralis flew into the air alongside him. "Where do you want to race to?"

Linden's eyes suddenly snapped open, when a message about a particular dragon dying rang through her head. She blinked. She found difficulty in recalling anything from the previous moments. She could not even remember her name, besides the fact that it started and ended with a consonant. Her stomach rumbled, and she had the hunger of a creature who had not eaten for a few days.

Linden wobbled as she stood, glancing at her surroundings in confusion. They didn't seem alien to her, which made her think that perhaps something had happened to her. She wished that she could find out more, but food was her current priority. Linden wandered out of the cave, passing two hatchlings who were in a conversation. She hoped that somebody would explain something to her, like if there are supplies of food nearby. She did not think she had the strength to search in the rivers and forest for it. But she headed to the forests, just in case there was no one available.

Hmm... Daralis looked around. "Oh! From that fallen tree to that really tall tree and back!" She pointed to the wide tree that fell... on a hatchling.

She didn't know that, of course. She flew up to the wide tree and stood on it. "Come on!" She called.

Dabberjack waddled back into his special cave. He waddled over to the water and dove in, Dabberjack intended on stocking up on food so he didn't have to hunt for it all. Dabberjack piled his catch up next to the entrance I think this will supply me for a couple days... he thought.

(OCC: the fish will rot, but Dabberjack has no concept of rotten food yet...)

"You bet!" Daralis grinned. She positioned herself. "Ready? Set. Go!" She took off, still needing to regain her balance.

She felt like she could fly forever. She was not very fast, but she sure could fly for years! ((Hyperbole)) She was just about to touch the tree!

-------------------------------------

Errapel woke up from what seemed an eternity. He stood up, wobbling a little, and wandered around the forest, occasionally looking into puddles to see himself.

He was about to walk into a clearing with a cave until he heard voices. He gasped and ran into a bush. There were two creatures just like him except: they had wings, but he had a horn.

They took off and he walked out of the bush. His horn started glowing and buzzing, seeming to lead him into a large patch of dirt. He touched his horn into the ground, but jumped away immediately.

There was something... mean under it. Whatever it was, he did not want to go near it.

Whoever Sparsus was, he was going to pay.

(OOC: Stars has met Sparsus)

Sparsus heard the message and was saddened, he had hoped Cream would have tried, she could have lived. When Cerise came up to him Sparsus did not even attempt a lie, "Because she told me to after taunting me and trying to aggravate me." He doubted Cerise would believe him, but he told the truth anyway, "I am surprised that you are the first to confront me, you are the main reason she wanted to die after all." He realized that could be taken as an attempt to blame Cream's death on Cerise, but he was simply telling the truth.

Volter eventually moved back to the cave, hoping Troulce wasn't there. He sat outside the entrance waiting for Aurase to eventually come out.

Iktria followed Dabberjack to their secret cave, he started catching fish so she started collecting seaweed. She heard the telepathic message and started, "What!" She yelled quite loudly, hopefully no one out side heard, that was unlikely though, since she cried out underwater. She got a mouthful of water and found she couldn't breath. She tried going up, but without enough air she couldn't and she started sinking. Before she passed out she sent a weak telepathic message to all dragons within range, but the range was only a couple of yards. Edited by MasterWeavile898

Cerise's eyes widened slightly. "Hm? No, I don't think so. She just thought, on what I have heard from her, that everyone was against her. You really had no reason to kill her." She told him.

She shook her head. "Really Sparsus, that was very childish of you." She walked out and looked for Moon Puff.

Why do I always want to be next to him? She thought. She shrugged it off and saw him talking to the black again. The same feeling swept over her. She made a tiny scowl, but returned to her gloom-filled face.

"Hi Moon." She greeted. "So you heard about what happened to Cream?" She asked.

"As I said, you were the main reason she wanted to die." Sparsus assumed they would try to kill him now, "Would you like the whole story? I can tell you every moment, but first I must give my defense." He doubted they would believe him, but he would tell the truth anyway, "She told me she wanted to die, I gave her the choice to die if she truly wanted to. I gave her plenty of time to run, to attack, to do anything but stand still; I aimed wide so she would have a chance to evade my attack, I gave her the choice to live or to die, she was the one that made it."

Dabberjack happened to be munching on a fish when he he heard a weak telepathic message. It sounded to him like "h... e... lp" but he couldn't make it out completely... "Iktria" ha gasped, Dabberjack quickly dove into the water once more. he swam down to the bottom and looked for Iktria, Iktria where are you... he thought. Dabberjack saw a tiny bubble float up from somewhere near him. He swam over to it and found that it was Iktria, he grabbed her with his mouth and swam to the surface. he dragged her out of the water and put his fins/wings on her chest and pumped hard.

(OCC: Weavile, why are you always trying to kill everything? and, IKTRIA I'LL SAVE YOU MY LOVE.... I just felt like it was necessary...)

(OOC: I knew Dabberjack would save her.)

Iktria sputtered and coughed. Her eyes opened and she saw Dabberjack on her, he was pushing on her chest, "Did you hear that? Somebody died!" She was stunned and not sure what to do, she started crying softly, "Why do things have to die?"
