"Life," Kyurem muttered. "Yes...Yes, I suppose. Or, more accurately perhaps, balance. And lack thereof." The world could be such a delicate place sometimes, and a tiny change could send the system toppling over. Whoever was doing this was trying to capitalize on that. Then again, the world almost never ended from such events. Heroes always seemed to show up at just the right times to stop them - and even if they didn't, nature would crawl back up from the bottom and adapt. And most importantly, it wasn't going to be fun to watch.

Kyurem sighed, sending out a puff of frosted air to join the clouds. "I'm here to investigate that, I suppose. Probably not for the reasons you assume." They squinted. Hoenn was in sight now. Maybe they could fit in a short nap and rest their wings before looking for the perpetrator.

A water pokemon floundering over to where Shaymin stood startled the cowering pokemon. She jumped backwards, taking quick steps away from the flopping pokemon in fright. "Oh!" She yelled in surprise, before she settled down to stare at the fish. She didn't know water types very well but this one looked like it needed water. And the lake was all purple now thanks to what Suicune had done. But she couldn't fix that. She could take in polluted air and turn that into light and water. But polluted water was an entirely separate matter. She shook her head and slowly approached the flopping fish, flinching every time to flopped around. Finally, it settled down, wheezing in the oxygen-rich air. When she eventually managed to get close enough to it, she reached out and gently touched it with a paw, trying to study it to see if she could help. How long would it last without water? She really did want to help it get better.

The fish suddenly began flopping about again, much to Shaymin's shock. With a squeak, she rolled away then quickly darted several feet away. She watched the pokemon as it rolled about carefully before turning to Lucario and Celebi. "How?" She asked with a frown. "How do we help?" She still did want to help, even if he was scary.

It was pathetic how hard it was for Celebi to move. To merely function was ridiculously hard. Her mouth, now parched, ached heavily. Her mind was screaming for water and every instinct in her body told her to rush to the lake and drink as much as her stomach could handle. But the water was tinged violet and death swam within it. She could not drink the water, not matter how much she wanted to. Her eyes darted over to the Shaymin as she spoke. The poor thing was quivering, obviously startled by the proceedings of Suicune.

"The...flying types and the stronger ones," Celebi wheezed as a cough stirred out of her. "Have them move the water types... away. Keep those... water bound hydrated. Others.... can help." Mad coughing and choking followed Celebi's words. Her body wrenched forward, her soft voice twisted by violent gagging. Once the heaving ceased, Celebi flopped back down, her chest rising and falling at a fast pace. Her version was beginning to get blurry. The world was becoming a smear of colors and noises were becoming muddled, as though filtered. It would be so much easier if she just closed her eyes and let her mind shut down. It was rather tempting to just shut everything off. Celebi's world was pain and suffering and ceasing it, even for just a little way, seemed like a blessing.

Shaymin finally seemed to look past her fright long enough to realize that something was horribly, horribly wrong with Celebi. She looked at the poor pokemon as she wheezed and and coughed uncontrollably before quickly darting over to Lucario's feet. "Oh no!" She exclaimed loudly, her fear replaced by complete and utter worry. She paused then looked around at all of the pokemon struggling just as much, if not more than Celebi. She had to help somehow! But Seed flare wouldn't be able to generate that much water. And even then, it seemed like they were suffering from poison, more than dehydration. She looked around once more then laid down on the ground and curled her legs under her body. The flowers on the sides of her head began to glow green as a slightly sweet-smelling light began to seep out of the flowers. The soothing smell radiated through the air in a last attempt by Shaymin to help the pokemon in need. Aromatherapy was the only thing she could think of to help cure poisoning so maybe it would help a little. It was what she had used before when pokemon had been burned and even though burns and poisoning were hardly the same thing, Aromatherapy seemed to work the same way. She really hoped it would help at least a little. She was worried about all of the pokemon that had been injured.

Lucario quickly got busy. If anyone felt as if he-she could help, it was her. She casted her aura out, calling to anyone in the entire forest to gather. She kept this going until a large crowd appeared. Everyone, take the water-bound to the creeks! Hurry! Of course, Lucario followed suit and did the same. She took a Magikarp in her paws and bolted away, only to return moments later and repeat the process. Several pokemon had taken to worrying over Celebi while others were busy with the water types. Her plan seemed to be working well.

((Zygarde, Meloetta, and Deoxys are reserved.))

Rayquaza began to spiral downwards as the two flying legendaries had reached the near center of Hoenn. Ilex forest was in view now. The dragon type could see the bright purple of the main water source within the forest. That was likely their problem. Below. That lake is poisoned. he muttered to Kyurem. Now there was another question: was it worth investigating? He wasn't quite sure. Rayquaza slowed down so her was hovering in the air to turn to his icy complanion. Shall we continue, or do you want to wait?

((Too lazy for sprites right now.))

Zygarde awoke in his underground cave below the Kalos mountains, sensing a massive change in the ecosystem. An entire lake, full of Pokemon, suddenly became uninhabitable. But the question was, who caused it? Digging into the ground, he moved through the stone and dirt, making his way to the disturbance.

Yveltal was almost surprised when she heard the cooing sound in the air. It was Articuno, a free flier between regions. Yveltal considered leaving Articuno alone for a moment, but then casually changed course to meet up with the wintery flier. Hopefully Articuno would talk instead of going to push her away. If she didn't want to talk, hopefully the ice bird would say nothing about seeing her.

At the corner of her eye, Articuno saw a flash of red and black. Although she only saw a glimpse of the stranger, Articuno was sure it was someone rather large. For a moment, she thought it was Moltres who was flying behind her. With her heart skipping a beat, Articuno turned her head only to find her companion was none other than Yveltal. The other female's presence wasn't nearly as exciting as Moltres, but that didn't matter too much. It was both good and bad that Yveltal was there instead of Moltres or Zapdos.

"Ah, Yveltal," Articuno chimed as she lowered herself downward so her voice could be heard more clearly. "I did not know you cared to fly so high up. I do not think you embrace the cold as zealously as I do. Did you perhaps by chance come up here to speak with me?" Yveltal's purpose for coming up so close to the arctic bird was not too important. As long as she didn't plan to kill Articuno, the avian would be just fine with whatever company the stranger gave. Articuno was, after all, a very laid back individual.

"Hmm. Might as well," Kyurem replied, with what seemed to be a gleam of excitement in their eyes. This was... well, it wasn't spectacular, but it was well planned. Did this forest not have a guardian? Yes, Celebi... And anyone who was able to get through them must have been another legendary Pokemon. Interesting. Not waiting for their companion, they folded their wings and dived, aiming toward the lakeshore. As they neared, they noticed quite a few legendary Pokemon were present already. Interesting - news spread fast.

Kyurem landed heavily, transforming back to their normal form as they did. Wings broken long ago were still more comfortable than aching ones. Celebi was on the ground, deathly pale, and another grass-type was leaning over her. They approached, footsteps surprisingly gentle for a giant dragon. "Who managed to do this, now? I don't believe it's the time for an apocalypse just yet."

A shadow loomed over the forest, but Celebi scarcely noticed. Everything was just moving colors to her, too blurry for her to identify each and every shape without thought. It was hard to concentrate on a single thing. The other pokemon only had to worry about the poison, which, in itself, was quite hard to deal with. Celebi, on the other hand, was still bruised through the fight, corrupted by the toxin, and felt every single drop of corruption in the lake. Even when, or if, she did heal completely from the battle and poison, she'd still feel the dread and horror of the lake churning with death and forest slowly succumbing to the elements. This factor played a role in why Celebi did not began to settle when Shaymin let loose her Aromatherapy. The other pokemon, although still badly poisoned, began to waver. They calmed themselves and let the legendary's power soothe them. A few healers had arrived, conducting their own Aromatherapy, ringing a Heal Bell, and bringing pecha and lum berries to those in need. Celebi, although being cared for herself, did not cease her struggling. She coughed more harshly than the rest and her body shook with pain. She barely noticed the grand dragon land nearby. Only the old one's booming voice informed her of his presence.

"Skies dance not with fire yet," Celebi remarked, lifting her head, her eyes trying to focus on the blurry silver figure in front of her. "Suicune... the water purifier has turned against us. He sees himself.... neglected by the peoples of the world. He dreams of polluting the waters.... in order... to get respect. He took my lake, he harms my people. I...have exiled him from this forest. He afflicted himself in the process of the poisoning on this lake. He must... be weak. He can't of gotten too far. His brother must be-" She could say no more. Ducking her head, Celebi coughed furiously, wheezing and choking horribly in the process. Her entire body shivered and her green body began to turn pale. The toxin hurt so much. She needed water, clean pure water. But there was none. She was so thirsty, just so thirsty....

Home. Where was home? Was it back in its lonely cave, far off in another region? Was it in the chamber of its maker, in the halls of the great one who had been worshiped as a deity? Was it by its brother's side? Or, perhaps, its sisters? It did not know. Gender was a foreign concept to Registeel. It did not identify with one, but yet it seemed as though all others did. Did genders will matter in the concept of the world? It did not know, nor did it entirely care. With seven red lights blinking in the darkness, Registeel lifted its head, its gaze searching into the darkness. Was this Hoenn? No, it was not in its home region. Sinnoh perhaps? Couldn't be, the cave was not familiar. Unova? Was it in Unova? Probably, that was most likely the case. The golem thought for a moment, the lights on its face blinking in rapid succession. Were Regice and Regirock here as well? Probably not, Registeel could scarcely remember when it last saw its comrades. It knew they had been guarding something together when it last saw them. How they separated, it did not know. Maybe differences came between them or their maker decided to punish them, or at least Registeel, for an offense. Either way did not matter. Registeel was alone in the darkness, and there was no one with it. Until it heard the sound of a voice, the stumble of rocks, the dripping of water, it would stand still, as though it were nothing more than a hollow statue.

(Guys, I can't, Registeel's sprite is too much. It looks so concerned I can't even deal with it.)

Shaymin continued to release as much of the soothing armoma as she could before she was eventually forced to stop to preserve her own well being. She panted softly and looked up at Celebi, trying to see if the smells had helped her any. It didn't really look any better, though some of the other pokemon around her had improved. Frowning, she looked down at her paws, trying to think about what else she could do. She didn't have anything else, really. Aromatherapy was the only good healing move she could use. The other would just end up with her passing out and probably wouldn't even ensure Celebi would get better. Why was she so useless?!

In her panic for trying to make sure Celebi was alright, Shaymin didn't notice the dragon above them until it landed rather heavily on the ground. Being so close to the earth, Shaymin felt he tremble in the ground when the giant creature touched down and began walking forward. Shocked, she slowly glanced over her shoulder at the dragon pokemon. If she thought the Lucario had been big.... well, this dragon was huge! Honestly, she was surprised she didn't just faint right off the bat. Even running, for that matter, seemed like a good idea. But Shaymin was completely petrified and simply stared at the dragon in shock, unable to move an inch until Celebi's wheezing finally registered. Despite her fear, she managed to turn to the poor forest guardian and quickly moved closer. "Oh no!" She quickly exclaimed, now caught up in worry for the Celebi. "Why won't you get better? What do you need?"

It was just one child. Not an entire region, not a hundreds or thousands, not the heir to a royal throne, just one pathetic child that only a few people in the entire world cared about. It wouldn't be missed. It was just another soul in the world, a nobody, a scrawny piece of meat. The worst that could happen was that a predator would go without a meal in the near future. It wasn't even a strong child. It was riddled with illness and suffering terribly. It would probably be dead when the next day dawned. To go along with that, it wasn't even attractive! It was a single Tangela shivering under a bed of ferns. The thing was hideous with those damn blue vines wiggling all over the place. The creature was completely and utterly worthless. It didn't deserve to live!

So why...why in all of the heaves did Darkrai feel so bad? He was sitting right next to the trembling blue mass, watching it turn around in its sleep. He hadn't meant to give it such horrible nightmares. It was an honest mistake. It's father had decided to attack the dark type, making him retaliate in the only way he could. The kid's father was trapped in a world of nightmares before he could touch Darkrai. He thought he had done the right thing, but the foolish child decided to follow their father, hoping in vain to be like the grand Tangrowth. The child was too close and Darkrai realized too late. It was suffering the same nightmares as its father was. The stress of the nightmares along with the child's sickness probably meant his life was forfeited. Such an insolent creature shouldn't live in such a harsh world, but yet, it did.

Darkrai closed his eyes, letting the realization of what he had down wash over him. This wasn't the first time he had killed someone in an attempt to safe himself. He was only acting in self-defense! It wasn't as though he was purposely trying to harm others, but yet, that was what was written in the legends. He was said to be a manipulative monster who preyed on weak and brought down agonizing nightmares to the innocent, acting in complete malice. Cresselia on the other hand was seen as someone of complete and utter angelic grace. She was a gift from the heavens, sent down to abolish all of the horrific nightmares Darkrai sent upon people. She was meant to purify his corruption, the yin to his yang. She was considered to be a blessed creature, completely infallible and he was a curse abomination, an indescribable horror that lurked in the shadows of night. It was such an incorrect thought process. Darkrai didn't want to hurt others, but he always managed to. Sometimes, he even believed what others said. He found himself praying that Cresselia would heal those he had set nightmares upon. With an emotionless sigh, Darkrai turned from the dying child. There was nothing he could do here. The child would die soon enough and there was nothing he could do. Shifting away into the shadows, Darkrai left the child alone and headed out into the world, not caring where he went. He had fled far enough to not hear the Tangela take one last shuddering breath before closing its eyes and becoming silent for one last time.

A weak smile came upon Celebi as Shaymin rushed to her side. The poor thing's eyes were full of concern. She was worrying so much about the time traveler that she was acting as though she had always known Celebi. It would of been cute of Celebi wasn't coughing up muck and feeling her entire being shake in pain. It would be very nice if she wasn't in so much pain. Very nice indeed.

"I am one with Ilex," Celebi explained to the frightened pokemon. She feebly lifted up one arm and raised it up towards the lake.

"I feel the dying of the lake," Celebi said, dropping her arm and rolling her head to the side. "My body can be healed, but my mind cannot. I... will be forever in pain until the lake is purified." Celebi's eyes darted over to where the other victims were. Through her messed up vision and poor hearing, Celebi could tell that they were getting better. Just the thought of the others getting better was enough to put her mental state at ease, even slightly.

"The others... matter more now," Celebi said as she licked her parched lips. "I cannot be fully treated, the can. If you need to mend, then tend to them." What Celebi said wasn't entirely true. She did in fact need physical attention. She herself still needed to be rid of the toxin and have her battle wounds healed. Her connection with the forest would not harm her physically, and was, in fact, a mental problem. Once her body was healed, Celebi could easily resume her normal duties. She could fly, go through time, go to any region she wanted, and so on. The only problem would be her mind. She'd feel the poison slowly leeching out of the lake and onto the land. She could hear the land crying out to be fixed. In truth, Celebi could save the lake by herself. Not in the condition she was in now, but she could. Only problem was that when the toxin was taken out of the lake, it'd most likely entered Celebi, or, at the very least, cost her most of her energy, if not, her life force. The chances of her dying in the process of healing the lake were extremely high. Seeing as she was not yet ready to take such a risk, Celebi shoved the thought of healing the lake herself out of her mind. Resting her head on the ground, Celebi began to breath heavily, her chest rising and falling increasingly slowly. She wanted to rest but knew she could not. It was living hell and she absolutely loathed it.

Yveltal almost gasped at the sheer cold of flying so high, but she held back th gasp. "It is kind of chilly up here," Yveltal replied, trying to ignore the cold. "But I need someone to talk to. Ever time I try to talk to Xerneas or Zygarde, they only push me away, making me feel...unwanted." Everyone in the Kalos region gave her the stink eye for taking life, but she couldn't help it. She was who she was and nothing more. "I want to have someone I can relate to. A friend."

Oh? Yveltal wanted a friend now, did she? A rather odd request from someone with such a fierce reputation. Not that Articuno wouldn't take it, of course. She didn't think badly of the life destroyer. Unlike most of the world, Articuno understood that some people were tasked with jobs that seemed that they loathed completely. Taking on such wretched positions was not their fault. They did not ask to take the jobs and were simply doing what the world required them to do. There was nothing evil in them for doing such jobs as much as there was no good in them. They were simply doing what they were born to do and that was that.

"I am not in same conditions as you are," Articuno said lightly. "But I can understand your frustrations. A lifetime of travel has given me much experience to look upon. The world has taught me much and I shall not take that knowledge for granted. Come, let us go some place warmer. I do not expect you to relish such cold temperatures. Very few share my tastes." Flying downward, Articuno sailed towards the earth below. Perhaps a delightful conversation would occur if the two birds spoke in more... favorable weather.

Yveltal nodded. Although Articuno didn't know Kalos as much as Yveltal did, so she descended her flight to fall in next to Articuno. "We're near the Reflection Cave," she said. "It's one of my favorite places to be because the glass in their is so crystal clear you can see your own reflection. It's a perfect place to confuse an enemy."

Yveltal was overjoyed that Articuno was going to talk to her. The few very rare chances she got to talk to Xerneas and Zygarde, it was rather boring. All they talked about was keeping the economy on track.

The massive sky serpent hovered just above the treetops as Kyurem spoke with Celebi. Upon the guardian's answer, he lowered himself down so he was a mere feet from the ground. Pokemon scattered at Rayquaza's appearance, but he seemed to neither notice nor care. Suicune, you say? He asked, inclining his head slightly. Why, he could Hyper Beam that blue dog into a charred smear on the ground if need be. That was how he kept Groudon and Kyogre in check. A Draco Meteor to the land or the use of Thunder to the sea was usually enough of a warning. If need be, he could easily moderate Johoto as well.

There. Lucario released the last water-bound pokemon into the water with a sigh. That had been a close one. She walked back to the dead lake and sank down beside Shaymin. As she finally settled, she was enveloped in a white light. Once it finally settled, she resumed her normal form. We must seek out Jirachi. He is the only one powerful enough to wipe the plauged water from existence. she muttered. Yes, that would fix it. But then there was the challenge of finding him. Standing up suddenly, Lucario looked about her. I am going to journey to Hoenn to find Jirachi. If I am unable to find him, I will seek out anyone else willing to heal this lake.

"The water purifier poisoning his own work," Kyurem muttered. "Appropriate, almost. Although I suppose saying that in this situation isn't." They offered the Pokemon present a grim smile. Really, it was an admirable plan - without clean water, nothing can survive. Even the fire Pokemon would eventually flicker and die. It was just too slow and too plain for their tastes. "I can stop the poison from spreading outward, by freezing the lake at the edges. Although," they looked down at Celebi, "considering your condition, that may not be wise. And it would be a temporary solution at best. Perhaps we need to do something about Suicune."

Ho-Oh paused as he heard voices. He tried to creep silently through Ilex forest to take a better look. His heart froze when he saw two other legendaries talking to Celebi and a Lucario. What were their names again? He must have figured the green snake legendary Pokemon was Rayquaza, but the other named escaped him. Why where these two here away from their own regions? Was it because they felt Suicune's destruction? He narrowed his eyes in fustration. He wasn't about to let them ruin their plans! Maybe they could escape to another region. He had to warn Suicune about these two.

(OOC: I'll take Latias. I assume you have plans? PM me if you do so I can have some general idea of what's happening ^^

Now for a post...)

Meloetta floated over the beauty of Twist Mountain in springtime. She had come to pick flowers from near the base. But she stood puzzled. The cave she normally took to her flower-picking spot had been blocked off by a landslide, and she didn't know any of the other caves very well. She'd tried reopening the cave with Psychic, but there were just too many rocks. She saw no option but to risk searching through other caves for another route.

It felt like hours she'd been in here, though it was truthfully only twenty minutes or so. Every skittering noise made Meloetta nearly jump out of her skin. She kept getting deeper and more lost in these caves, and it was starting to mess with her mind. She saw a light up ahead, and hoped it was a way out. But as she neared it she realized it was simply a well-lit room, though she didn't see any lights. She looked around a bit, looking for whatever was lighting it. Maybe it was something she could take. All she found was an odd little switch on the ground. After a short time debating whether or not to open it, she decided that she had little option. She pushed it, and a door opened on the wall across from the entrance.

The room inside was nearly pitch black, the light from the outer room didn't even seem to come through the door. Meloetta's unadjusted eyes could barely make out a figure in the back. A figure with glowing red eyes. She stifled a scream.

"H-Hello?" She forced out, her voice barely more than a squeak.

Shaymin practically fainted right then and there when another massive creature landed in the clearing. In fact, if Lucario hadn't arrived right then, she probably would of. She looked over at Lucario as she changed back into herself then quickly flung herself into the pokemon's lap. This was all too much for her. She was a simple Pokemon and these other legendaries arriving was all too much for her. She never really considered herself to be like them since they were, on a whole, very large and very powerful. What could she do? Just make flowers grow. But... Their conversation was still a little interesting. "I... Why can't he just purify it again?" She whispered softly. "I mean, maybe I could do something..."

"I've heard of Reflection Cave before," Articuno said with a dip of her head. "Never got the chance to get in there. Zapdos called for me to go elsewhere. I'd very much to visit it someday. Perhaps a day when I preen myself more gracefully than I did this morning," Articuno gave a small snort as she glanced at her plumage. What most might call beautiful Articuno found only tolerable. Her white feathers were rubbed downward, sleek and soft. Every feather was put through delicate care. Articuno had spent hours rubbing down her feathers so they matted her body. It was obvious a lot of effort was put into the cleaning of the feathers. However, despite how pretty Articuno had made herself, she was still not satisfied. Along the edges of several of the feathers was small fluff. This fluffy part of the feathers wasn't very noticeable and only added to the softness of the feathers. Articuno, however, saw this fluff as an error in her plumage. She had spent a majority of the morning trying to flatten them out to no avail. The fluff was anything by an imperfection, but Articuno saw it as none other than that. She was feeling slightly embarrassed even being near Yveltal! Oh the shame of her work! She knew she should of spent an extra hour or so cleaning herself up!

"I'd not have him killed," Celebi wheezed as she tried to sit herself up. The effort was in vain. She flopped back down onto her back and coughed once more. The pain was getting too much for her. Had she not been in such pain, she'd probably of shooed off her guests. She knew that she couldn't do anything in her current state, but yet she did not want to be assisted by others, especially those of other regions. She didn't need a babysitter! She was old enough to take care of herself!

"Suicune is guarded by Ho-Oh and his brothers," Celebi explained, letting out another bout of coughing. "I'd suggest you'd see to your... own regions. Johto has... it's own protectors."

Shaymin had a point. Lucario nodded thoughtfully at the smaller pokemon's words. Yes. Being the Gratitude Pokemon, perhaps you can extend your gratitude to him? I will do the same if you do so. She agreed. At the very least, they could talk sense into the lords of the storm and inferno. Being Suicune's brothers, they were sure to stand beside the water type throughout it all. But a voice of reason and an apology coming from the being of graditude could sway the whole trio. And Ho-Oh...he would need to be spoken to as well.

A light rumble of akmowledgement, and Rayquaza dipped his head in apology. Of course. It is not my place to intrude upon a region that is not my own. My humblest apologies, Guardian. he mumbled. It was rather embarrassing to have rushed in before asking for consent. With a glance towards Kyurem, he began to ascend towards the sky. He had his own home to watch over. Groudon and Kyogre could start to fight at any moment and if he wasn't there...With a rapid shake of his head, Rayquaza suddenlt rocketed away. He had priorites other than Johoto. Hoenn needed his watchful eye.
