Dropping through the wet faster and keeping his new legs out around him to stablize himself Crell drops on the black dark squarish thing and curls the legs in under him to grab at it. The mouths that are down under him start chewing at it before he is even fully grabbing on and his mouths seem to shift down his body towards the cube thing as more and more get into contact with it and start chewing hard. His body starts shifting around without really changing, the legs get a bit longer while also moving higher on his body while the body itself gets smaller on top and the bottom now with most of the mouths gets wider and more bulblike.

Atrocitas absorbed the strange, sweetness rapidly. The hunger from its change made it all that more ravenous. Even bitter things were desirable at this point. If the expression can be used, then it would be more than enough to say that Atrocitas inhaled the sweet thing. But there was not a whole lot, and suffice to say, not enough of it then. Moving on from the sweet thing, Atrocitas searched out more things to feed on, hoping in part for a rather large specimen to take into itself. It needed to replenish lost energy, and fast.

OOC: DrakeofBones: I sort of express my slime's vague awareness of the "become a dragon" job by having her instinctively desire to absorb and grow characteristics that could be considered draconic (lizardlike tail, wings, etc.), but that's just my interpretation of how the slimes work, and not necessarily canon.

And to whoever asked about gender . . . I'm pretty sure slimes start out genderless, but have the option to gain one later on by growing reproductive organs. Though, gender is also expressed in chromosomes and DNA, and some slimes have already grown parts of animals, (and thus would have copied the DNA) of animals that have gender . . . hmm.

Aster opened and closed its mouth several times, trying to recover from the feeling of something forcing itself out of its body. Then as the slime looked down to examined the object that it had expelled from itself it was momentarily transfixed by it. It was a round thing like the one from the other slime, just as beautiful and shiny. Aster wanted this one, too . . . but wait, why did the slime want this shiny object? This thing had been bothering the slime for a long time while it was still inside of its body, and Aster had gone through so much to get rid of it. No, this thing, even though it was shiny and pretty, was bad, and the slime definitely didn't want it. As Aster came to this decision, the shiny sphere seemed to grow less beautiful in its sight.

Aster looked towards the injured slime lying on the ground near it, still largely immobile. It had wanted the first shiny thing, the good one, right? Well that one was Aster's now, even if it wasn't paying a lot of attention to it currently, but it could have this bad one. Maybe if it had another shiny sphere, it wouldn't try to get the one Aster had taken from it back. Walking forward a little, Aster kicked the gleaming object that it had made over to where the injured slime was laying prone on the ground. It rolled over to the other slime and made contact with it, in about the place where it had been holding the first one before Aster had taken it. Satisfied, Aster walked over to where it had dropped the good shiny earlier and crouched down over it, trying to hide it under its body so the injured slime - or anything else that might want the glistening object, for that matter - wouldn't be able to take it away from Aster easily.

Zeditha could feel the thing, and it was strange. It had been there a while, but how had it changed shape? She remembered that she had eaten several of the hard things, though, and un-eaten them. As much as she had disliked that process, she wanted to see this thing now, and figured she would un-eat it a little later. She wanted to see what the other slimes were doing first. She clacked a little, then began to meow, trying to get their attention. After a small amount of time she shook her head and just un-ate the thing. Hey - it was brown! She poked it with her foot, then picked it up, wondering what to do with it. After looking around, she decided to hold it in her feet and then fly up a little and perch in a tree.

Avisk wanted its shiny sphere back. That was its. Not the other slimes. It rattled angrily at the other slime, wanting so bad to move. But the other slime rolled over a different sphere as the friendly flying slime vibrated with noise. Two spheres then. It would want two spheres. But first-

Avisk attempted to move, finding it unsuccessful. For the most part. It curled around the other sphere unwanted by the possessive slime and wondered slightly if it could absorb that through the hole that was in itself now. Carefully Avisk maneuvered the sphere to the hole, slowly starting to absorb that and rattling more as it noticed the angry scary slime nearby. A flourecent glow returned instantly, emanating from the slime in a very bright flash of light that remained. That scared the poor creature, but it had no control over the action.

@Truce: ... and more there was. It tasted... like wet. It felt like the slime itself did. But it was organic, and it wasn't the slime. The slime could feel at least part of it, and it felt long, with lots of small squiggly shapes coming off of it- but they all tasted the same. What kind of thing could this be? At least where it was, the slime could examine the thing it found without the air moving it away from it.

As Truce rolled to a stop, landing on something long a squiggly, it mentally rejoiced. It didn't like losing control. Though it tasted odd, and felt a bit like Truce was trying to absorb a piece of itself that had somehow fallen off, absorb Truce did. It enveloping the organic slowly, to aid the digestion process through extra surface area, but to also allow him to slowly map out it's length's and textures with the sense of touch.

OOC :@Booksv2: So, I finally figured out exactly how to grant electric powers. Just like fire, and other elements, two things with the same element are needed. "Negative Charge" is electric, but coming out of other stuff, into you. Once you also have "Positive Charge", you can have lightning bolt abilities, like your event request said.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

@Jerarde: (unlocked: mohogany wood stain pigment/pattern) Below the mucky organic (which the slime was partway full of now, though it was dissolving quickly) was a much harder organic. The same one that was flat, that the other stuff was in. Beginning to absorb it would have altered the slime's vision, but it was too dark down where it was for anything to really register to begin with. It was a difficult thing to try and consume... much denser than anything the slime had tried so far.

@Teethy: The jagged organic hurt the slime with its many sharp parts, but it didn't hurt all THAT much. It was at least organic, so it could be absorbed. Whatever it was, it tasted... well, it didn't have much taste to it, actually. It flaked and broke, the small pieces becoming that much easier to absorb, so that was nice that it was able to fragment it more for easier consumption. It was fully absorbed, within the slime, but not yet dissolved.

@Crell: (unlocked: negative charge) The dark shape wasn't organic, after all. What was organic, was the slime. But that hardly meant anything! Growing further caused it to increase its hunger, though it didn't.... the sight-making part it grew wasn't particularly well-suited to seeing under the wet. Plus the wet wasn't all that easy to see through anyway. There had to be a better way of a few things, right? But encompassing the thing wasn't useless. It was able to feel, on one side, something that was either an inorganic organic, or just inorganic.

@Atrocitas: The slime didn't feel anything particularly.. organic where it was, besides what it had consumed. But there was an inorganic thing that had a flavor on it. A flavor far better than the disgusting stuff that seemed to be everywhere that the slime had been unfortunately travelling on so far. If only it wasn't forced to taste that all the time! The inorganic moved easily when touched even slightly. No, there were two flavors, actually. One of them was.. kind of exciting. That had to mean it was organic!

@Aster: The slime could see the hurt slime staring at it. What? It still had a shiny. No, it was looking past it. Boom! The slime got knocked over, and saw what it was- the angry creature that was probably a slime that had been following them and surrounding them for quite awhile. It had a thing on its back like the other slime did, that the other slime had just used to go up into the air and onto a limb of a tall organic. The moment the slime was knocked away, the angry slime grabbed the shiny in its mouth, and looked like it was about to... do something. It was aiming itself at the slime that went up.

@Zeditha: The slime's own shiny sphere was a good, small- but not too small- size that fit comfortably in its paw. But being up where it was, it could see that angry-looking slime again, and it wasn't hiding and going around the shiny-making slimes anymore. It was heading straight for... it grabbed the shiny the running slime had made right in its mouth, and in so doing, revealed its full self finally. It was coming after the shinies!

It took one of the shiny spheres in its mouth, and started... it was backing up, without backing up. It had wings, too? It was looking in the slime's direction. Was it... it was looking at the slime's circle!

@Avisk: The slime was able to move to a point, at least well enough to get to the pile of plant stuff that the other slime (which was now sitting on a limb of a tall plant nearby) had brought for it. The hole made when its orb came out was starting to close, too. But it was okay; its mouth was somewhat functional, at least well enough to eat the soft parts of the plants. That or pick up small things, which it now saw the flimsy, kind-of-invisible-skinned thing nearby under a short, fluffy plant that another slime had ignored. It had small, circular things in it. Organic things.

But the slime's thought was cut off when it saw the angry-looking slime come swiftly out from the dark, not hiding anymore. It... well, it was almost a straight line, but it still moved, somehow. Faster than a slime could. So it must have done something to its bottom part- but it didn't have the limbs that the slimes did that let them move faster.

@Truce: (unlocked: jellyfish stinger) The thing that tasted almost like the slime did wasn't very big at all, really, but it was definitely organic. A strange kind of organic.. it didn't make sense, somehow. But its squiggly-shaped things were aimed down the dented declining ground. There was also... when the slime investigated the shape, it found something else. It was very, very hard, but also organic. What kind of things were these?

Having plenty of organic to eat, Jerarde decided to digest some. It wasn't wasteful, after all. It felt bigger after digesting so much. Feeling good about its bigger size, it continued to digest organic at a manageable yet fast pace, trying to become even bigger.

Twitching and moving himself through the wet Crell can feel his body shifting and moving around as he moves over the botom of the wet. His legs growing longer and moving him across the bottom of the wet easily, his bulbing body with the multitude of mouths under him snapping and biting at anything that gets within reach of him. On his back where the eye is it closes and seems to smooth over as two more spots just under where the legs are on the body open, a new kind of eye that is more used to the wet. Something from his original dna opened and he could see easier. At the same time on his back something changed into something new. His skin becoming wrinkles and slightly rough as just below the surface something starts drawing in something from the wet around him into his own body. It making parts of his back tingle and seem to almost spark as he can feel there is something new in how he can feel.

[[OOC: Two parahna eyes on either side of his body. Electrical detectors on his back.]]

The impact of the large, angry perhaps-slime had left Aster shaken, but largely unharmed. Even so, as the slime rose to its feet, its tail beginning to sway from side to side in aggravation, Aster nevertheless realized that the larger creature had indeed dealt a grievous injury to itself: it had taken its shiny away! The immense anger Aster felt at this theft was temporarily overriding the caution the slime would normally display around an unfamiliar creature so much larger than itself, and, letting out another loud boom of its own in response to the one the large angry perhaps-slime had made - it wasn't as impressive as the other creature's, unfortunately, as it didn't make the world shake - Aster ran over to the area beneath the perch where the airborne creature had come to rest and jumped as high into the air as it could as it tried to reach the creature that had stolen its shiny, its legs stretched out in front of it and the sharp pointy bits on the end of its feet reaching out to attack.

Unfortunately, Aster couldn't jump high enough to actually reach the larger perhaps-slime with its shiny, but it came surprisingly close. The animal it had copied its legs from was apparently good at jumping as well as running. Aster jumped at the creature safely situated above it again, wanting to show it that it wasn't going to give up. A rasping noise rose deep in its throat, and as it escaped the slime's mouth it instinctively caused Aster to spray a stream of clear liquid in the air as well. Aster had been making this liquid ever since it had grown its mouth, but it had never sprayed it like that before. And . . . something felt different about the clear liquid it had sprayed. Before the liquid had left its mouth, it had hurt the slime. Normally the liquid didn't hurt at all. Wanting to find out what the difference was, Aster made the rasping noise again once it had returned to the ground and felt the painful sensation fill its mouth again. The clear liquid that the slime sprayed hit the side of the tall organic that was the base of the perch the larger creature was resting on, and to its surprise Aster could see that the liquid was beginning to slowly dissolve the organic's surface. It wasn't doing that to Aster's mouth, though, it just made it hurt. But maybe the liquid Aster made would make the other perhaps-slime's surface dissolve if it touched it, like the side of the big organic? Had Aster managed to touch the aggressive slime with its spray the last time it had made it? The slime couldn't tell, but decided to try again - and if it worked, it would have a way to hurt the bigger perhaps-slime, to punish it for stealing its shiny, even if it couldn't reach it!

Aster jumped again, and at the very apex of its jump, made the rasping noise again with its head held nearly vertical to the ground. The slime was underneath the larger shiny thief's position now, and it tried to make the spray of liquid extend as far as it could in hopes of reaching the larger creature. The red puffy Aster had learned to blow earlier had been triggered somehow as well, and was now billowing thickly out of the slime's mouth along with the spray.

OOC: The sulfuric acid gland Aster grew earlier has gotten into the venom glands that lace monitors have for their saliva (most monitor lizards are mildly venomous) so now Aster has sulfuric acid saliva. I hope I wrote this okay, I wasn't sure if Aster still can be harmed by sulfuric acid even after growing a gland that produces it, so . . .

((So I wrote before Avisk had absorbed the sphere Aster originally produced since they switched that sphere with the one Avisk made. And the flash of light. Just so everyone knows...))

Avisk noticed the angry slime before anybody else did. It was angry now itself that nobody else really paid attention to it. What did it have to do to be helpful!? To be noticed!? Maybe being noticed now wasn't the best idea, as it saw the other slime slam into the bigger one. They were fighting over the shinies and the angry one was clearly bigger than the one who originally controlled the pile. That was bad.

But that creature flew up to a limb of tall organic too like the kind slime had done. Great. Now what?? Avisk had absorbed more plant and had torn open the clear flimsy thing to absorb some of those odd tiny things in there with its mouth, as well as the bronzy colored sphere the pile-controlling slime competitor had switched with it. The angry slime in the tall organic held Avisk's sphere, which it so badly still wanted back.

The smaller slime stood, bristled and flames of different colors sprouted on its back as the rattling of the scales roared from the tiny creature. A terrible idea for sure to challenge such a beast, but it wanted the original gold colored sphere back. That was its. Nobody else's and it was bad enough the other slime had taken it once already.

The slime's pincher on its back end snapped, flexing and then snapping again as a burst of fire shot off. Had the angered slime been bigger, that probably would have been more intimidating. But, being the smallest, it had no advantage of that for now. The spectacle alone of such a small creature being this angry probably was confusing. But Avisk charged forward, scrambling up the tree.

It found very quickly it was able to climb, and rather fast with it's odd hodgepodge of legs. It didn't know what to do once it got to the limb the larger slime was on, but that certainly didn't stop the smaller creature from running right up to it.

The scales rattled again, different colored flames and different colored lights creating an odd and rapidly changing array of angry coloring. Combined with the rapid whurr of the scales, the slime burst off a bit of flame. It wanted the shiny back. That was its own. Bigger or not, the slime was going to do everything to get this shiny back. And it had absolutely no idea why. It bristled again in intense anger, ready to shoot off flame when it also noticed the colors illuminated from its body were creating disturbing patterns.

Some of those patterns imbued with the flame, starting to create what looked to be the flame-creatures that had attacked it before. Except this time, they were aimed to the larger creature. Without thinking, Avisk let a few loose toward the larger slime as they took full form. This was a terrible idea.

((Avisk has magic mushroom... and since I have more limited resources than the other slimes nearby... I figured Avisk could use some odd fire since it already had fire.

And having 6 legs, with chameleon properties, the insect properties and also the packrat muscles too, it's able to move faster and climb. If only for short, anger fueled bursts....))

Teethy rolled onto the beach after having absorbed the thing. He rolled around trying to find organic. He was hungry and his hunger had to be answered. He stumbled upon a patch of grass and ravenously devoured it. He then rolled over to the wet and let himself sink, as it felt relaxing.

OOC @ Everyone, not doing an update tonight, working on Magistream instead. But there's an important message!

I hired an artist. He's agreed to draw all of your slimes, from initial release through your evolutionary stages. I'm really looking forward to the "Zeditha eats her own legs" and "Avisk, Zeditha, and Aster being stalked by an enemy slime"scenes.

If you wanna see what he can do, look at his DeviantArt page.

((Sorry for not posting in a while - I haven't had much access to DC for the past few days.))

Zeditha knew that she had to protect the Shiny. She looked at the other slime, then curled protectively around the Shiny, tail lashing, wings spread and waving threateningly, beak clacking. She growled for extra effect, then realised that there were more threats she could use. She remembered the strange cylinder that had forced something into her mouth, and realised she could make the same thing. She allowed a small amount of it to flow from her beak, and tried to make it go at the other slime. She also remembered the tiny creatures she had eaten long ago, their painful bite, and figured if she could make the strange stuff mix with the painful stuff it might make for something interesting. She aimed again and tried producing both things at once before un-eating them at the other slime. It couldn't get the Shiny! If it got the Shiny, she would have to hurt it until she got the Shiny back. She didn't really want to hurt it, but she dismissed the dislike. If it tried to take the Shiny, it got hurt, and that was its own fault. If it died, she would eat it.

She realised that colours might drive off the other slime as well. She knew that her wings had their own pattern, and shifted the colours to match that, but it was boring. She spiced it up with different colours - the colour of the tiny creatures as the main colour (fire-ant red instead of grey) and the bright colour instead of the second one (neon orange instead of white). She decided to make the rest of her body patched like before, but with each patch changing between each of the colours separately. She liked the effect, but it took some concentration to keep up and so she stopped changing the colours, settling with a random display. She shot another mixed-stuff blob at the slime, just in case it had any ideas, and resumed growling.

((Yes, artist! I finally get to see Zeditha! Zeditha perched on a branch, waving her rainbow-patched feathers, changing colours, flicking her tail and curled around a shiny green pearl. Zeditha eating her own feet. Oh and the other slimes too ~ xd.png))

OOC @ Everyone: Sorry! Sorry. I've been working on my comic book almost solidly for a week, without doing anything else at all, really. I hired an artist, and after we start selling some comics, he's agreed to start working on MAKING A FREE ONLINE GRAPHIC NOVEL FOLLOWING THE SLIMES IN AZURE WYRM THROUGH THEIR INDIVIDUAL STORIES AND EVOLUTIONARY STAGES. Yay!

Also, I accepted every request that was sent to me. Private message me and you can get a hold of me over Steam or Facebook so I don't lose track of time so easily.

OOC @ SoulKing: Not allowed to say grass; you were just on the sand and you couldn't have gone far enough out in the water to be able to sink in it. Please edit.

@Avialae: Mostly okay, but forgot to reference the Boss that's there. It's okay, I'm working around it (my fault for not showing up for a week)

---------------------------------------------------------------

@Jerarde: Something was wrong. The slime could absorb through the organic, but there was... it couldn't absorb through this. It... buried within the organic, was something inorganic. Flat. Hard. If there was more organic beyond it or not, the slime didn't know, but this was... not what the slime had expected. It would probably have to move elsewhere.

@Crell: Something got quickly caught in the slime's many mouths- one of them, at least. It was hard, and sharp, and poked upwards and to a side, curved behind the point. But there was something else attached to it. It was long, and thin, and... it wasn't fur. It wasn't organic. The slime's wild gnashing got it into a trap of some kind, it seemed! It wasn't able to get itself out, and trying to squiggle around with its long legs only made things worse. In addition to this, there was something... something. It was a thing. The slime's new sense was picking it up nearby, whatever it was. Ouch! There wasn't only one point like it found.

@Avisk: The slime felt itself start climbing even easier as it went up... all of a sudden. It heard something hit the ground below it. Continuing to try and go up, it saw the angry slime in midair, flapping its limbs and attacking the kind slime that had helped it. Angry did something, the slime somewhat... recognizing it... a little... causing Kind to stop making something come out of its mouth. Angry grabbed forward with its strange mouth and stole the sphere. Kind looked very different than it did before, but Angry seemed to only care... about...? Looking down where Angry was looking, the slime saw that the sphere it picked up had fallen out of itself and was laying on the ground!

On a side note... the slime realized that the tree it was climbing on looked somewhat shinier where it had climbed than where it hadn't. It hadn't healed entirely! No wonder the sphere fell out. Some of its internal slime was getting rubbed and left on the tree.

@Zeditha: The angry-looking slime that was now attacking got its front covered in the stuff the slime un-ate, but it barely seemed to slow it down. Instead it seemed to anger it even more, and it did something with the wide parts on the sides of its head that made the slime force its eyes close and flinch, and temporarily stop spraying at it. But the stuff was still on the creature, and it seemed to at least not be able to flap its wings as quickly as it did.

It was even sneakier than the slime suspected, and the moment the slime closed its eyes from the pain of whatever it was that the angry slime did, it took that chance and pecked forward, grabbing the sphere the slime was so desperately trying to keep for itself. The flying angry slime backed up, and looked down at something else.

@Aster: The slime couldn't see exactly what was happening above it, but it did see the slime that had been until now sneaking around in the dark, up in the air. It had already stolen its sphere, and the other slime that took a sphere that it had traveled with a short distance was now being attacked, too! The sneaky slime was moving strangely- the slime's view partially blocked by lower plant limbs- but then it came away from the other slime and now looked like it had two bulbous shapes in its otherwise floppy, but smooth neck under its mouth. It stole another sphere! Where was the last one? The sneaky slime saw the slime's ranged attack, but flew away from it just a moment after it was struck. Was it struck? The slime couldn't be sure.

That was it. Zeditha let out the loudest screech she could muster, and launched herself at the other slime, un-eating the mixture of strange and painful at speed towards it, beak open, feet outstretched. She would NOT let the slime have her shiny! It was HERS!

Something that seemed warm moved... over Zeditha. She couldn't quite describe it - it seemed to fill her. It made her want to kill this other slime - it took her Shiny! It couldn't to that! It had to DIE!!!

((...Who is this attacker? Is it even a player? I can't seem to see it acting from anyone else's posts.))

Viirin: I . . . thought I did? You wrote that Boss (i. e. the NPC slime that stole Avisk's pearl from Aster) flew away and perched on a tree branch, and I had Aster run over beneath where the NPC slime was perched and jump up at it, hissing and spitting sulfuric acid at it while it did so. Was that not clear in my post? If so, I apologize; it can be difficult for others to figure out what's going on due to the way we write things in this game.

Avisk noticed its own shiny down on the ground now, near the slime who had originally controlled the pile. It wasn't sure if that angry movement from that slime was directed at the fighting between Angry and Kind, but the creature shook again and started down the tree without thinking.

Unsure would just have to deal with Avisk coming down near it, which Avisk only just debated if doing so was a good idea or not. It didn't take the slime long to get down the tree either, and soon the slime was near its own shiny. Right near the jumping Unsure. Terrible idea. But Avisk needed to protect this, and the flames on its back bristled again as it moved nearer to its own shiny. Nobody was getting this. Nobody. Not even Unsure or Kind. Or Angry. Especially not Angry.

The look Angry gave though, that scared Avisk a little bit. The pincher on its back end snapped, flames spurting a little. It still held the shiny Unsure had traded with it, nestled deep inside its own body where Avisk took extra care to be sure that go nowhere near the hole in its side that was starting to heal faster now. Maybe the flames were closing it up, Avisk couldn't be sure.

The small slime stood protectively over its own shiny, spines fully bristled with different colored flames puffed out. Some even took form of the attacking flames with little angry faces. Those would attack first if Avisk was threatened. But secretly it hoped Unsure and Kind would be able to get rid of Angry. It knew it wasn't large enough to do so itself, despite feeling the underlying need to protect both slimes and its own shiny it now stood over.

Pulling on the pointy thing and making noises with his many mouths Crell tries to tug on the pointy thing attached to the unorganic. His pulling only makes it grab into his body harder and he stops pulling away and lifts his legs trying to grab the not organic thing attached to the hurting thing. The scrabbling at the line does little other than pulling the pointy thing into his mouth before his wiggling makes him move up and one of his legs gets wrapped in the not organic. Almost sooner than it is firm he feels a huge tugging moving him through the wet quickly.

As the angry perhaps-slime left the branch it had been perched on and flew forward to attack the other large perhaps-slime, Aster stopped jumping and hissing at it. This wasn't working. It didn't look like the painful spray it had just learned it could make was even reaching the angry slime. The angry slime was just too high for Aster to reach. The slime knew without even trying that it couldn't go up the tall organic to get to where the angry slime had been - its feet weren't made to cling to the side of things like that, and it didn't matter anyway since now the angry slime was too far from the tall organic for Aster to reach it from there. Aster wanted badly to be able to reach the angry slime, to punish it for taking its shiny, but it couldn't do that it if it couldn't reach it. The slime knew instinctively that if it grew the right things, it would be able to move freely in midair like the other two slimes were doing, (from the caterpillar it ate) but it didn't have enough free mass to grow the things that would enable it to do that right now. Aster hadn't thought that it might need to move in midair when it had developed defenses against the angry slime earlier, as it had never needed to move in that way before.

The slime walked forwards a few steps so it could have a better view of the two big slimes fighting. It boomed again as it watched them, and opened and closed its mouth several times, clacking its teeth together as it did so, and the end of its long tail rapidly whipped back and forth in frustration. It wanted to be fighting too! If only the other big slime, the one that was covered in soft and fuzzy things and whose body wasn't long, would force the angry slime nearer to the ground . . . Then Aster would be able to reach the angry slime, and could join in the attack! But the fuzzy slime didn't seem to be doing that. It was screaming wildly, and attacking the angry slime in a frenzy for some reason (Aster hadn't seen the third pearl yet).

Then Aster was distracted from the fight above it by the feeling of something rolling up against one of its feet. The slime craned its neck around to see what it was . . . the bad shiny from before? It thought it had gotten rid of that! Further behind it, it could see that the injured slime had apparently climbed the tree that the angry slime had been perched on before at some point and was now heading back down to the ground. Aster remembered that the good shiny that it had gotten for itself used to be this slime's. Did the injured slime want to punish the angry slime too? That was fine with Aster, as long as the injured slime wasn't angry at itself. It wasn't sure about that, though. The injured slime was still making a lot of the burning orange-yellow light, and while that would probably hurt the angry slime quite a bit Aster knew it would hurt itself too. Turning around to face the injured slime and lowering its neck, trying to appear not threatening, but not angry either, the slime kicked the bad shiny gently towards the injured slime again - it still didn't want it, but it didn't want the angry slime to get it either, not after it had stolen Aster's shiny - Aster then chirped at the injured slime a few times, a sound that something deep inside it told it was meant to be reassuring to others, and then turned back towards the two larger slimes, pointed the tip of its snout towards the air where they were, and let out another boom. Hopefully the injured slime would understand.

The other shiny!!! Wait... Unsure had given it back willingly?? So it had two now? Two shinies. Fine by it. Two shinies it was. Avisk gladly ate the second shiny, shifting so that shiny too would rest far away from the more closed hole now.

It also noticed something odd. The chirrup. It heard the chirrup. Heard? Was that the right word? It definitely was a different sound suddenly and then a barrage of screeching and various other sounds. Was that the Kind and Angry? And Unsure? The boom scared Avisk for a second before it realized, yes, it was Unsure. It could hear now?? Cool!!!!

But Avisk followed the snout-pointing, and noticed the fighting going on again. It couldn't do anything. What did Unsure want it to do? The slime guessed if it could jump on Angry then it maybe could do something. Maybe.

It rustled the spines again, making a whirr in response to the chirrup. Shortly thereafter the slime imagined climbing back up the tree, as fast as it could before reaching the branch again where Angry used to be. Did it dare jump? It didn't dare jump. But Angry was close enough to jump onto even though it was flying. Avisk could snag a bendy flap thingy keeping Angry in the air. If it was lucky. Otherwise the down would hurt a lot. Splat the slime guessed. Lots of splat. But Avisk wanted to help really really bad. What could it do? It released the image, looking up still. Angry faced flame spouted from the slime. Maybe those could do something.

((avisk grew small chameleon ears without really realizing. Despite the traditional limited hearing an actual chameleon has, Avisk has the hearing ability of a packrat))

OOC @ Zeditha: It's a Boss! That's why I had to make sure three of you would be in the same place at the same time. It's the one that's been sneaking around- it's part vulture, pelican, king cobra, stinging nettle, scorpion, and other stuff I won't say right now.

Clarification to Zeditha, Avialae, and Dragonhatchling: I should have done this earlier this week, but I didn't, so.. Okay! So I think clarification is needed.

The Angry slime is indeed a slime, and a Boss.

How I see events:

Everyone made a pearl, of different colors:

-Aster made one from a brass keyring cap from a 25c machine green lucky rabbit's foot

-Avisk made one from a copper chain that used to be part of a ceiling fan

-Zeditha made one from a piece of broken green beer bottle glass

This ability was gained by having the above stated "inorganic irritant" inside them while unlocking oyster. All pearls are, are little grains of sand irritating oysters, and they're basically calcified abscesses but they take on the color of the irritant. That's how cultured pearls are custom-made. Black pearl? Black sand. White pearl? White. Red? Duh.

Anyway, the Boss has attacked everyone finally, first stealing the green pearl (because Zeditha switched with Avisk) then stealing the copper pearl from Zeditha, then heading towards the ground to get the brass one. It's holding them in its pelican-esce throat. It can fling poison barbs out of its cobra frill. The barbs are full of paralytic toxins. Because of acid and cheese, it can't fly anymore, but it still poses a threat.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

@Zeditha: The little painful bits that came from the flying Angry thief started to affect the slime. Was the slime's own ability going to affect the other one? It seemed like it was, but the slime was being affected by something, too. It couldn't move its head or chest, though it still had limited movement in its wings and legs. But it was slowing down and becoming... rigid? Floppy? The slime didn't have a valid word. But whatever the feeling was, it was making the slime unable to control itself! Not now! Not while it was fighting, and certainly not flying. But the slime plummeted to the ground anyway, crashing into some luckily soft brown organic.

From the angle the slime was forced to see at, it saw something it didn't want to. The hot light from before that caused it to escape to this place was far bigger and closer than it had been before, and wasn't very far away now.

@Aster: The slime put the sphere into its own mouth, and it wasn't visible anymore. The Angry slime came down, and landed on the ground, trying to bite the small slime that kept making hot lights come out of itself. The slime could see the Angry one, and it didn't look like it was moving as well as it had before. Some of the soft parts on the edges of the limbs it had coming out its back that let it go into the up looked frayed, and some of the slime's liquid dripped off. It had gotten it after all!

There was something else. On the Angry's face and top of its up-limbs, was something... a different shade of the color of the hot light. Hot light that was coming towards all the slimes! It had grown much, and was now starting to feel slightly warm, even from where the slime was at. The bigger slime that had helped the smaller one was now on the ground, unmoving, after falling from the up. Did that one need help, now, like the other one had needed? The small slime looked like it needed help, too. It couldn't fight that big one on its own.

@Avisk: The slime felt inside itself, not feeling a sphere besides the one it had caught that was bumped towards it by the Unsure. The slime's injuries must have affected its perception or memory or something, which was a new, though undesirable experience. It only had one sphere. The one it started with. Where were the other two, then? More importantly, there were two creatures heading down from the up, one towards the slime, and the other was... not heading towards anything, except the ground, which it now landed on in a clump. It didn't look like it was going to move.

Was that the Big slime that had eaten a little bit of the slime, before giving it organics to eat and heal itself? It was. But the one aiming at the slime barely managed to miss hitting it, the slime's flame spurts kept it from attacking. But it was now landed on the ground, looking at the slime, snapping at it but trying to maneuver around the slime's fire to get a good attack in.

@Crell: The pulling stopped after a few moments. The slime finally able to have... minor control in its own movements. But looking around, the slime could see that there was another creature, the same... almost the same... color as the liquid it consumed when it was near the big creatures that made the slime able to make internal bubbles. It seemed like the nearly invisible inorganic lines were wrapped up around it as well, and it had been running around, just as the slime had done. Both of them were trapped in the inorganic; trapped with each other.

((Second clarification: Aster had switched pearls with Avisk. Zeditha was going to eat one but never did, so Avisk ate the one Aster had switched in order to protect it... and then went on the ever-long quest to get its original shiny back from Aster. Which worked, but then Angry took it. And Angry had dropped that, which was what Avisk was going after on the bottom.))

Avisk spurted more fire, angry face-flames launching themselves at the Angry. More flames held steadfast on the slime's back, protecting the slime as it continued to turn to keep facing Angry. It knew the circling was a bad thing. It needed to keep a very close eye on Angry in order to not die. Yet, what else could it do?? The pincher on the back might work. Maybe. But Anrgy was too big for that to really do much Avisk figured. Maybe teamwork would be needed??

The scale-thorn network rattled. The flames shook, creating a wavy consistency of flame along the slime's back. A patterned rattle noise came from the slime's shaking in an attempt to communicate with the other two slimes. Maybe Kind and Unsure would understand? Unsure had communicated about Angry before, and Avisk had an idea that perhaps no communication would be needed because Unsure would go right after Angry anyways.

Hopefully. Right now Avisk was facing off against Angry by itself. That boded bad for the smallest slime.
