Lucine looked at the pills. "As tempting as it is, I don't think it's the best idea. I'll need my power to tell who to trust and who not. Hell knows when we'll be back in that place." She said sighing. "She haunts me in my sleep. So I won't be able to sleep well anymore."

Lucine was slightly creeped out when David stared into her eyes. "David, you're scaring me." She replied when he slumped over.

Acedia nodded agreeing with Invidia, "I don't even know why I bother trying to get along with him or to forgive him so many times, he's a ****ing *." Now, Acedia never swore, so when she used those carefully picked out words... "Come on, do you want to eat somewhere first? Don't we have like three hours now that the boys aren't here? They have amazing fish at this one Chinese restaurant." Acedia informed the two female knights, "Then we can go somewhere to find milk and cookies... They should just back fish-cookies... Why don't they?" Acedia wondered to herself. (Because that would be gross.)

[Millennium07]

"Oh god...I...I'm sorry...I was trying...trying to get her to...shut up." David murmered. "I don't...don't suppose it...it worked?"

 

Hisao frowned. "David. Don't ever do that again. Trying to use your powers without knowing what you're doing can be lethal!" He paused, calming down. "Sorry. I know you only care about her and want to give the finger to her Phantasm. But it won't do her any good if Dragon takes hold, will it?"

Invidia nodded a little awkwardly, unsure of exactly what to do, or say. "Err...whatever you want?"

"You're going to regret saying that" Superbia whispered to Invidia. "Ah...yeah. Food, I guess?" Superbia said, unsurely. Though they physically could, Phantasms didn't need to eat.

Neither said that though, they didn't want to spoil Acedia's fun.

"She's quiet, for now anyway." Lucine looked at David, holding his shoulders to steady him. "Thanks for that, but please don't do that again. Listen to Hisao." Gently she rubbed his shoulder. "What is Dragon like, anyway?" She asked, looking over to Hisao. "You said you knew everything about them."

David nodded, obviously quite drained. "I...I promise." He felt incredibly comfortable right now, beginning to feel himself drift away...

 

Hisao nodded. "Good. He never breaks those." He explained, before answering Lucine's question. "It's my power. Well, one of them. Each Phantasm has three, and I've learnt to use all three of the Fae's. But my main power is the ability to build up a complete and actual profile of a person in my head upon meeting them. Now. As for him...well. The Dragon is one of the oldest Phantasms in existence. Apparently he's existed before. Several of David's past lives have had him in their souls. In fact, David's reincarnations seem quite prone to having Phantasms, and each times, it's Dragon who forms." He nodded. "The Dragon Phantasm is clairvoyant. He can see the past, present and future, as well as see through illusions, weak points and solid buildings. His final power, is the ability to mimic the powers of another Phantasm exactly, so long as he has seen it used before. But because of that, he is very bored. Bored of life. He wants self-gratification and that's it. He's not outright evil though. Just bored. If you can befriend him, give him something to focus on, he'll be a potent ally." He thought for a minute. "He's also rather unpredictable. Your power is going to be perfect here. If you were locked in a room with him, he might simply want to play a board game, or he may want to kill you. Either way, flirting would probably be involved. He fancies himself as a bit of a ladies'...dragon?" He paused quizzically. "He's similar to the Banshee Phantasm like that."

Lucine moved on to rub David's back. "Get some rest." She whispered.

She looked over at Hisao. "So, if you were to keep Dragon busy you'd be fine? Sounds like he has a short attentionspan, so you'll need to think of a few things to do." She thought for awhile. "No cracking the 'David should learn flirting from him' joke. I don't think it's the time for jokes." Lucine said, looking to the floor. "So my power would be, what?"

[Takhesis]

[i heard Banshee mentioned as a flirt... looks like she has a reputation already...]

 

Not wanting to indulge in what ifs, all Banshee said to Avaritia's musing was:

"The greater the number the more risk we ran that he'd have seen the writing on the wall. Though perhaps a larger group could have reduced the overall cost."

 

While she had company, Banshee was happy - after all Jolene was boring when asleep and waking her up would be a very selfish thing to do. Especially with the seal in the balance.

 

"Do we know what Phantasms we're dealing with this time round?"

Chastity stood in the doorway to her therapist's clinic - expecting the usual overly cheerful receptionist to greet her. Instead an empty waiting room and an abandoned desk met her sight.

 

Slowly, as if uncertain whether she should be there, Chastity took a few steps towards the check-in point. If no-one calls me in - I can at least leave a paper trail as proof I turned up. Doc won't be happy, but its the best I can do.

 

 

[i think Chastity is in for a shock/telling off. I think Hisao would notice Shadow Wraith isn't contained anymore.... partial possession was VERY dangerous - if Gula's words are to be believed.]

David smiled thankfully, resting his head on her shoulder.

 

"Aww, but I have a really good one." He broke into a cheesy grin. "But yes. Giving him a purpose in life - something to make his believe his life has meaning - will help greatly." He nodded seriously, before cocking his head at the seemingly obvious. "Intuition. You can tell a persons intent towards you at a glance. It seems to only be working on negative intentions right now though." He rubbed his chin, thoughtfully. "Neither of you have an offensive power yet. You'll need weapons."

He paused, hearing something. "Chastity? It's OK, come on it."

[Takhesis]

Chastity jumped as she heard Hisao's voice - though she really shouldn't have been surprised - the emptiness of the lobby did result in her slow footsteps being easily identified.

 

Changing direction to head for his office rather than the reception desk, Chastity still walked slowly - this time because of the exertion in the Inverse Plain finally catching up to her.

 

If the empty waiting area was a shock - then seeing two familiar people was an even bigger one.

Hisao grinned. "Don't mind the lovers. They're David and Lucine. But You've met, right?" He nodded turning to David and Lucine. "This is Chastity. Who is more stupid then your beaux there, Lucine, for giving the Shadow-Wraith Phantasm the ability to take you over!" He said, turning to face Chastity. "Good thing I've got a weapon for you, too"

[Takhesis]

Chastity blinked at Hisao's off-handed introductions. Then realised he'd called her stupid for letting Shadow-Wraith out.

 

A split-second later, she realised that he knew more than she did about recent events. Which made her frown in concentration, trying to get her memories to work properly:

 

"I think I may have done that to avoid further injury...." she said slowly, while trying to hide her newly bandaged arms. Chastity already knew Hisao's often inappropriate humour - and wished to avoid it as much as possible.

 

"And what was that about weapons?"

Licine craned her neck to look at the newcomer, not being able to turn because David was resting his head against her shoulder. "Oh... That's right. Something happened, I lost some of my memories of the Inverse Plain. Is that bad?" She asked. "And the weapons are making me curious."

[Millennium07]

Hisao nodded. "It was the Bakeneko Phantasm who possessed that power. You would have died if you hadn't have been shifted back. She puts you into a deep sleep and the longer you remain in it, the closer you get to death. I can only assume the Wraith Knights have awoken once more." He nodded to the two young women and rose to his feet, walking over to the sword-bound bundle. "The Sword is for sleeping handsome over there." He gestured with his head at David, sleeping soundly on Lucine's shoulder, still half-hugging her.

He set the bundle on the floor and unwrapped it. "Here." There were several different weapons in the bundle, including a bow with a quiver of arrows, and a clawed glove. "Without highly offensive powers, you'll need weapons to defend yourself with. So that you don't rely on your Phantasms." He cast a concerned glance up at Chastity.

"He deserves to get some sleep. Today has been hard on all of us." Lucine said, rubbing her eye. "I already slept for about two hours, causing me to miss out on the therapy meeting." She explained, looking at David. 'I could get used to this.' "If I feel threatened or afraid I'm not staying in my home." She whispered. "So! Whose weapon is whose?"

[Millennium07]

David, evidently not entirely asleep, murmured something similar to. "Come anytime" quiet enough for only Lucine to hear.

 

Hisao shrugged. "I casually got David to admit he'd use a sword if he were an anime hero. As for you pair, pick whichever you're more comfortable with. It's up to you."

Lucine smiled and rubbed David's back again. "Thanks." She whispered in reply.

A giggle emitted from her when Hisao revealed why David would have the sword. "I love anime." (I really do.) "Any episode filled with action gets my attention. I'm on that like fat kid on fresh cake." She laughed, looking at the weapons before turning her gaze to Chasity. "You get first pick."

((I'd come back with something like 'me too!' but I think that names like 'Hisao Daimon' and even 'Kage no Kagami' give it away XP))

 

Hisao nodded, turning to Chastity. "Well then, your move. Which'd you like?"

Gula gazed at their retreating forms. "Fine," he huffed to himself. "Ava will just say, 'Oh Gula, you're the greatest, staying back and waiting for them instead of shopping in those dumb human stores!!' and he'll be like 'Gula, be my second-in command, I think you're more trust-worthy than Superbia, she should be fair and not hate you just because'..." Gula turned slowly. Uh-oh. He smiled at Ira, who was still in the room with him. "Haha... heyy, Ira-ra..."

Lucine watched for awhile before resting her head against David's. "I'll try coming over tonight. I don't think I'll be able to sleep in my own bed tonight. Not with her around." She whispered.

[Millennium07]

"I'll come escort you, if you want. If not, is there any sort of midnight snack you'd appreciate?" He whispered, rubbing his head against her shoulder to get more comfortable.

((Okay, so my phone is almost dead and the power is out so I'll be back online when there's power. If I'm not back tonight you know the power didn't come back on))

 

Lucine smiled and closed her eyes. "I'll be fine coming over by myself. But you can walk me home after this." She said, shifting a little. "And I eat anything edible."

Hisao winked at Chastity, trying to inject a little more humour into the situation. "Cute aren't they?" Before dropping into a serious face once more. "How are your arms? The Chimera Phantasm did that, didn't he?"

"What's so wrong if we were to fall in love Hisao? I mean, we understand each other and we both ended up in the Inverse Plain together. I would've been dead by now if it weren't for him. Stop making fun of it, you're not in second grade."

Hisao's face contorted into a wry smile. He nodded. "I would whole-heartedly support that."

"Then stop commenting on everything we do. It's only fun to a certain point!" Lucine sighed. "I wouldn't mind falling in love but truth is, my head's still spinning. I would not throw myself into a relationship just like that whilst trying to be murdered by not one thing, but two. You smurfairy."
