Kage no Kagami ~The Shadows in the Mirror~

[Anime is fun to watch - I think the hybrid Chastity/Shadow Phantasm will end up something like Yami Yugi (just because Shadow Chastity would look similar to normal Chastity.... except darker.)]

 

Chastity silently agreed with Hisao's assessment of the pair. Then turned her attention to the weapons and Hisao's question about her arms.

 

"I don't quite remember what inflicted them - likely due to the same Phantasm you mentioned earlier, - but the wounds were ..." now Chastity quoted the ER Doctor, " ' deep puncture wounds likely inflicted by a bladed object'."

 

She missed out the part of implied self-infliction since she couldn't explain them.

 

She studied the weapons before picking the bow and arrow set. Her physical condition did make hand to hand combat a very bad idea and she said so.

 

"I think I'd be better of at range - I haven't quite got my full strength back from the accident." She held off saying Car Crash - for some reason Chastity still couldn't convince herself to start driving again or even think about it in too much detail.

Hisao's smile faltered. He looked...sad. "You don't really get to choose with whom, or when, you fall in love though." He normaly looked more 21, than his actual age of 25, but he did look older just then. The look didn't last long, though. "Anyway! So, bow for Chastity, cool! How about you, Lucine?"

"Hisao, I was referring to dating. I mean, you can be in love, doesn't mean you have to date. Understand?" Lucine looked over at her therapist and smiled. "And me the glove, seems more fitting for me."

[Millennium07]

Hisao didn't seem to be listening. Lost in a reprieve. "O-oh, sorry? Yeah, that's fine" He said snapping back into his general demeanour. "There were six of you, right? Where are the other three?"

Runa opened the door of the hospital room and nudged Kazuto. "I'm good to go," she said. "I live near the center of town, so it's not going to be a short drive." Waving to the receptionist, she headed out the door.

Ira raised an eyebrow at Gula. He could be so childish sometimes...

[Takhesis]

"Six? - I only saw these two plus one other. Making a total of four." Chastity was confused. "Are they meant to be here too?"

 

She was still trying to remember what really happened in the Inverse Plain. She could remember what it looked like - but not what happened in its totality.

[Millennium07]

"No, no, definitely six." He confirmed with a nod. "As for the other three, I don't know their names. One is a rich heir with pyrokinetic powers, another is an albino girl who can cause combustions. The final one is a blue-haired swimmer with hydrokinesis." He explained.

 

"That Wraith Knight, Superbia, mentioned six if us..." David murmured sleepily from Lucine's shoulder.

"Ok then let's go~" Acedia smiled happily leading the three knights to the fancy restaurant.

 

(Time skip 3 hours of torturing?)

Superbia fell back against one if the pillars, feeling drained. "Whyyyy did I agree to that?" She bemoaned.

"To make our friend happy, that's why" Invidia said, equally as fatigued.

After primping each of her female friends to perfection, Acedia had left them with a pretty silver hand mirror, embodied with green and purple jewels and a bunch of fancy swirly and floral designs. Acedia herself was currently in her room, which surprisingly for a knight, but not for her was pink, it was like a princess's room, everything that wasn't pink was white and it was filled with cats, cats ranging from kitten to adults elders. Hey, Gula had his head room Acedia had her pink cat room, full of cute cats, cute stuffed animals, white dressers full of sparkly clothing, pink walls and a pink canopy styled bed, it was enough to make any of the knights want to throw up. Acedia laid stomach down on her bed, wearing her silk nightgown, (And guess what color it was? Pink? No. It was white.) and was rubbing a gray cat's belly as he purred like there was no tomorrow, a ginger, black, a tortoise cat vied for her attention.

"I vaguely remember an albino girl." Lucine said. "She was there when I woke up again, but I was worried about David and helped him to the hospital. I don't know where the others are, sadly."

Kazuto simply stared at Runa and sighed, shrugging. A long drive would be good, he supposed. The scenery of the city wasn't nice or pretty, but not everyone could live in the rich district, right? Unless she lived in the nice part of the central sector. As he followed her, he gave her a cursory glance. Yeah, it wasn't likely she was rich.

As he walked past, his eyes fell upon a seemingly empty part of the hospital. It gave him an awkward feeling, but he decided not to dwell too much on it (though he did stare at it for quite a while).

After a second, the moment was gone, and Kazuto trailed after Runa. His car was clearly visible, so he started walking towards it, not caring if Runa was in tow.

Gula shrugged at Ira and floated away, feet hovering mere millimetres above the ground.

-Two hours later-

How were the girls not back yet?! They were wasting so much time right now. Gula twirled around in midair, having already played his two favourite games in the entire world (playing 'house' with the mindless phantasms, and speaking to the lovely human heads in his head room), and now he was simply very, very bored.

Boredom made Gula very very strange as well, half of the odd actions in these past days had been boredom (but not his head room. The only one that understood the head toom was Ava... and then, he wasn't sure).

Wait.

Ava. Where was Avaritia? Gula had seen Ira over the course of the past time, laying about or doing Ira business, but he'd not approached him because he'd not found sufficient reason to. Now, he had a good reason to call Avaritia. It was rare for him to go missing. Rarer still for him not to give a warning not to follow him beforehand.

"Ava?" Gula cried out, flapping his arms. "Where are you, Ava?"

Hisao pursed his lips thoughtfully. "Well. I suppose that's all for now. Go and get some rest, all of you. Next time you find yourselves in the Inverse Plain, come straight here." He grinned. "Class dismissed!"

"Gula. Why is it that you would summon Avaritia?" Superbia asked, floating over to Gula, thoughtfully gazing into her four-eyed reflection.

"So, what've you been up to, Ira?" Invidia said slowly, unsure what to make of her time in the Corporeal Plain.

"Sir, yes sir." Lucine said before gently shaking David. "Come now, let's get agoing." She said, trying to move out under him. "I'm not going to apologize if you hit your head, you've been laying my shoulder numb."

[Millennium07]

David rose his head sleepily and nodded, speaking in a hoarse voice. "Will do." He confirmed to Hisao, rising to his feet and stetching. "Right then, miss, allow me to escort you home" He said, extending his hand to Lucine and mimicking Hisao's tone to a tee.

 

Hisao scowled at being mocked, before breaking out into a grin as he span in his chair to continue his work.

Lucine giggled, taking David's hand. "Yes, let us take our leave my dear."

Hisao glanced at Chastity with an amused expression as the two took their leave.

 

"So... Our therapist has a Phantasm, and has known all along that we do as well... How surreal. What did he say it was? The Fae? I'd never have thought of Hisao has one of the fair folk." David said with a slight laugh as they walked. "But then I don't really look like a Dragon tamer either." He looked up at the sky. "The Dragon...the Alicorn...the Shadow Wraith...the Kitsune...and the Fae. What a random combination." He mused. "Well, in any case, I'll have the flat ready for you, for later." He then lowered his head, thinking about something. "You want me to leave you at the top of your road to prevent your parents from seeing me?"

"It is strange. He also mentioned things about reincarnation. Do you think I'm reincarnated or brand new?" Lucine asked, the thought stuck in her mind. "We'll make it through, together!" She smiled. "You shouldn't go to too much trouble for me." Lucine said, stepping over cracks in the road. "And why would I hide you? If my parents see you, big whoop."

David thought for a moment. "I certainly have met a past life. He keeps offering my cryptic advice and calls himself 'Unfenscheit'". He confirmed with a nod. "As for you...I don't really think it matters. Perhaps you should try pleading for help, like I did? He came to me after Dragon mindraped me in the bathroom." He turned to Lucine, smiling. "It's no bother. It's something to do. Something to keep my mind occupied." He then reached up and touched his eyepatch with his free hand. "...Because I'm covered from head-to-toe in clothes, with the only skin showing being my face? Because the big whopping medical eyepatch kind of gives away why I'd be dressed like that?..."

Acedia eventually fell to sleep, however she didn't put her cats to sleep first and the door was slightly open, so the cats meowing loudly, clawing on everything and using the rest room everywhere, in other words causing great disturbance and annoyance left Acedia's room. They then ran out eager to explore a place other then the room they have been trapped in forever. (Let's play catch the kitties )

Invidia cocked her head to the side. Cats. Not Cat Phantasms. Cats. Cats of all shapes and sizes, strutting around like they owned the place. "Ira...what exactly were you and Gula doing while we were amusing Acedia?"

Lucine sighed and shook her head. "If you don't want to walk me to my house just say so." She looked away, upset. "See you later tonight..." She mumbled, removing her hand from his

David mentally slapped himself. He span round to look her in the eyes. "That's not what I meant. Of course I'd like to walk you home. I'll do so every day if you want. I just thought that you might be put in an awkward situation if I was seen with you. I just...I don't like causing trouble for my friends. After I tried to kill myself, the few friends I had dropped me like a ton of bricks because of the extent of my injuries, and how it affected my appearence - and by proxy ther social standing by association. I'm still covered in bandages now, and there is bound to be tonnes of scarring. I..." David swallowed shaking his head. "But I'm glad if I don't have to be something to hide anymore..."

"I don't care what people think when they see you with me. And those who left you after your suicide attempt aren't real friends. Of course there will be scars, you half-way skinned yourself. But I don't care! You're the nicest person I have ever met.'" Lucine sighed, looking at the ground. "But if you don't want to it's fine."

David hung his head to the side. This wasn't going too well.

 

Not really very good at this having friends lark, are you?

 

David heard a taunting voice in his head. Dragon...so he's laughing at me. Great.

David pulled Lucine in for a hug, shaking his head. "I'd love to, actually. I don't recall ever saying I didn't. Just whining about trust issues." He laughed self-depreciatevively.
