Posted May 6, 2013 My last neb alted (finally a nebula that listened to my prayers!!!), so tomorrow i can try this! I think that it's my favorite lineage so far... Oh heeey would you look at that! Congrats!!! *Fingers crossed for a nonrefusal* --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Haven't posted in here since forever. I'm waiting on him to hatch and grow up. Then, hopefully he will like her, and the whole lineage will finally be doooone. Been trying to breed it since forever(...since before GWs decided they like breeding like rabbits). And then, no more searching for frill offsprings again! Except not, because some time ago this girl has found her way to my scroll and I'm pretty tempted to build her a mate. Finished a kind of an impromptu Balloon with a Wrapping Wing Base lineage, so yay It started out as a tiny 3rd gen test-pairing when I had a sudden urge to get MOAR BALLOONS aaaaaand then it suddenly escalated to this size. So there it is now >.< Can't wait until this little Ice grows up! Hopefully she'll like at lease one of these fine shinies. *still working on breeding a 2nd ice* Always loved this checker, it's so awesome to finally be able to get somewhere with it. Yesterday was good breeding for the metals in general... but after having a few months of only 'normal' refusals, I got hit with 6 - some in a row. I was beginning to think that the R button was stuck in the on position. Gads! Today they have made up for it though, with nearly every hit of the breed button scoring metal. Posted May 6, 2013 i am working on those lineages too and i was recently gifted a GW/(F)Gold that refused it's mate and my CB Golds didn't want to give GW only Golds so i will be trying again once mine are off CD i do have another 2nd gen pair that i can breed a 3rd gen but they have only ever given me one baby i might just try switching their mates if i get a third gen from them maybe we can swap would be a sib to this. also i am working on Silver(M)/Ice lineage i have only gotten Silvers from them and need 2 ices as i have 2 i need mates for so if we ever get Ices maybe we can swap those! was that darned refusal from the one my DH bred? if so, what an absolute bummer! maybe it'll be useful for a different mate We'll try again, surely it's bound to click sometime Share this post Link to post

I plan to keep this Hellfire & the first Tinsel the produce but if anyone likes this combo send me a PM. I"m just curious what my fellow evengenners think of it. Is it too much? Try for a Gold from M Gold X F Crimson? Maybe GW from M GW x F Crimson? Would be easier to manage then the gold most likely. Hope to somehow score another 2nd gen tinselkin or shimmer kin? I remember being disappointed that the dad was Gold and not Silver, or I'd have totally added it to my Silver Water Walkers lineage. I like the colour combination though (and I have a bit of a Water Walkers with EVERYTHING mentality at the moment), so I might try something similar. Though maybe I'll do WW x female Gold... I do like that they are both facing the same direction. I am very curious what they would look like in a checker. @ElayneDragonLover Keep a lookout in the AP. I caught a 2nd gen Crimson from Male gold and a friend of mine caught one too. I think it would look nice with a 2nd gen from female gold. Which normally you wouldn't think would be a big deal until you go through three attempts for a non-refusing pair. >_< I'm praying really hard that she'll cooperate. Posted May 7, 2013 (edited) i was trying to breed a GW from female Silver and they gave me this shiny! don't you just hate it when they do that and the names fit each other too! Nice egg! The absolute best way to breed a shiny is to want an egg of the common mate, I've found. I remember breeding this when I actually really wanted a GW. And then I couldn't manage to breed either a GW or a Gold for about 8 months. I was about fit to throw up my hands and quit the damn lineage by the time I finally bred her... At least I'm a couple of steps away from completing my nebula rainbow lineage though... I really don't like to whip my dragons but I"m feeling the need to do something I'm not the most experienced, but I have noticed in looking at other people's scrolls that some mates always give metals, others never do. I'm also thinking that trying a different mate would work better. Plus, you'll need more anyway, to continue the line, right? My precious was doing beautifully until I changed her mate. I changed her back again and she started producing shineys again. Now I'm nervous about experimenting until her list is finished lol.
