Posted May 17, 2014 Before I go through the trouble of creating the lineage I have in mind, let me just make sure there's no objection to using these lyrics for names. We have violent and venomous dragons, so I think they would be fine... In the heat of the desert sun, on the blistering trail An appaloosa and, a wanted man sprung from jail Slow in motion and shadow-less The switch and the spurs Every living thing, with a fatal sting Bark and rattle this curse The rider hallucinates The snapping hooves on the sand Spits a venom dream, recalls a stranger scream And a broken hand... The saddle spotted with sweat and blood The poison pumps through his veins There's no stopping this, and now he's powerless Still holding the reins... Any pour souls who trespass against us Whether it be beast or man Will suffer the bite or be stung dead on sight By those who inhabit this land For theirs is the power and this is their kingdom As sure as the sun does burn So enter this path, but heed these four words, You shall never return... Posted May 18, 2014 (edited) I've got an inquiry about the name of my Fever Wyvern, Pestis Rex. The word Pestis came from the species part of name of the bacteria that causes the Bubonic Plague, Yersinia pestis. I just wonder if it's OK to name dragons that use bacteria for self-defense and/or hunting their prey after actual bacteria that are known to cause diseases that are potentially deadly without proper treatment. Posted May 27, 2014 Names in other languages are fine as long as they are appropriate. That doesn't sound inappropriate unless it's some inappropriate slang I do not understand. Share this post Link to post

Ha, I was just about to ask about this because I named one of my hatchies after an old Japanese song I've recently fallen in love with and kinda thought "Waiiit, is this actually allowed? Maybe I should check, just in case...". Nice to know, I'm happy we can! Share this post Link to post

Posted July 8, 2014 Is the word "ass" unacceptable in names? The reason that isn't censored on the forum is because it composes a lot of words (class, grass, etc), so I would have to say this might depend on the name you had in mind. It is probably technically okay, but I would err on the side of caution and avoid using it since I do not think it is necessary to include in a name. ^^ Share this post Link to post

Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) Picked up a seasonal from the AP, hoping it was a CB that had been abandoned for whatever reason. Not only was it not a CB, but one of the parent names was a bit... iffy. A dorsal called "ne'gro". Is that name permissible? Edited July 19, 2014 by Ansela Jonla Share this post Link to post
