**** is hitting the fan.

The Georgia charges against Trump were leaked.

There's a RICO charge.

That's racketeering - law for taking on organized crime bosses.

1 Charge - Violation Of Georgia Racketeer Influenced And Corrupt Organizations Act, Serious Felony

5 Charges - Solicitation of Violation of Oath by Public Officer, 16-4-7(b) Felony 12/07/2020

9 Charges - Conspiracy To Commit Impersonating a Public Officer, 16-4-8 Felony 12/06/2020

11 Charges - Conspiracy To Commit Forgery in the First Degree, 16-4-8 Felony 12/06/2020

13 Charges - Conspiracy To Commit False Statements and Writings, 16-4-8 Felony 12/06/2020

15 Charges - Conspiracy To Commit Filing False Documents, 16-4-8 Felony 12/06/2020

17 Charges - Conspiracy To Commit Forgery in the First Degree, 16-4-8 Felony 12/06/2020

19 Charges - Conspiracy To Commit False Statements and Writings, 16-4-8 Felony 12/06/2020

27 Charges - Filing False Documents, 16-10-20.1(b) Felony 12/31/2020

28 Charges - Solicitation of Violation of Oath by Public Officer, 16-4-7(b) Felony 01/02/2021

29 Charges - False Statements and Writings, 16-10-20 Felony 01/02/2021

38 Charges - Solicitation of Violation of Oath by Public Officer, 16-4-7(b) Felony 09/17/2021

39 Charges - False Statements and Writings

(Someone's head is going to roll for posting that online. It's not just an oops to post a highly coveted document.)

Before that, Trump went on Truth Social and told former Lt. Governor of Georgia, Jeff Duncan, not to testify against him. Which Trump was just ordered not to try to influence witnesses.

The charges are now right up there and he's accusing he of all sorts of things which are actually impossible for her to have done. He really is incredibly stupid. And very scared,.

Yes, indeed, but sadly still incredibly dangerous.

Yes. I wonder about an actual civil war even if he is locked up - MAGA followers are evermore deranged than he is.

If he keeps going the way he is, he is likely to end up in jail on pretrial detention. He seems to be testing the judge but if he keeps maligning her, the prosecutors, the DA, the witnesses, the FBI, the DOJ and all his other perceived enemies, all of which breaks the restraining order against him, he may well end up behind bars before the trial. Any other criminal defendant would have had his arse slammed in jail already, but of course Trump is different. The fact that he is a  political candidate does make it a bit more complicated, but he will eventually push too far. I don't think he can help himself.

Please, someone, put him behind bars. That's probably the only way to stop his attempt at the presidency.

Robert Reich has lots of great videos!

and he needs to get tossed behind bars for all these threats he's still posting on social media - pending trials. to heck with running for president. his base is more nuts than he is.

:(

Though, to be fair, I believe the names were on the indictment papers.

Shows just how disconnected from reality the MAGA crowd really is!

there are conservative lawyers who have drafted briefs and papers and it's been on social media and MSNBC about this very thing.  and there's an attempt at a movement to get the Secretaries of State to not allow trump to be on the ballot in some states for this very reason.

(and of course, the maga-wingnuts are downplaying the insurrection part and crying that states might not allow trump on the ballot.)

i feel it's important to note that it's conservatives that are the source of this, because they're essentially 'calling out one of 'their own'' - even though the 'republican' party is still called that.  it's not really a republican party.  I'm just going to call they them GOFP - Grand Ol' Fascist Party.

Looks like they really want to follow this playbook:

Trump calls on Republicans to shut down the government to "defund the political prosecutions" against him.

Never mind the harm it will do to the country as a whole. Save Trump's skin at all costs!

Robert Reich on Twitter (X) "A government shutdown means Americans won’t get the services they depend on. Federal workers won’t get their paychecks. People’s livelihoods will be upended. But none of this matters to Republicans in Congress. They care only about power. Never about people."

It is obvious that the Republican Party does not have the ability to govern, only to obstruct!

Can you even imagine what RFK Jr's father would think of him at this point? :o He is a real stain on the Kennedy legacy.

Sorry for late reply. He'd probably consider him a disappointment

I have to apply for federal insurance, and now that the government shutdown's potentially happening, this is going to make it harder
