Posted November 26, 2011 Marlfox I can kind of see. Rakkety Tam would be a little more difficult I think because of the whole cannibalism thing... I'd still like to see it done, though. Rakkety Tam is a favorite of mine, too. (: The first book, Redwall, would have to come first, though. There'd have to be a movie of the book that started it all if Redwall movies were going to be made. X3 Yeah, Redwall'd have to come first. On the other hand, what does it tell about Redwall that isn't explained in the other books? Maybe instead of showing all the dead animals, they could just show Gulo eating a steak or something. Posted November 26, 2011 To tell you all the truth, I haven't really read any of the books you all want into a movie. I was scrolling throught the first page and saw someone say the hunger games... I believe that is comming out in theatres soon. Anywho, I would kinda like to see Erin Hunter's Warriors... Although, I keep thinking over this; They would have to have a lot of movies because there are six books in a series and already four series, almost finished with a fifth. They are very neat books and I would like to see what media producers do with it. I doubt they'd do it though, most people might think it is for little kids just because there are cats in it. Gahh! Don't listen to me, all my step mom's fault! Anyways, that is what I think would be a pretty good movie. Share this post Link to post
Posted November 26, 2011 (edited) i think Warriors would better be translated into just a regular TV series. live action would be a bit too unrealistic(funnily enough) i think, but if it were done with an anime style it might turn out alright i'd like to see some more of Stephen King's book made into movies if they could be done well enough.. 'Needful Things' or the Dark Tower series Edited November 26, 2011 by ParticleSoup Share this post Link to post

IMO, I don't really like it compared to some of the other books, though. They were able to make the animated series, so I know they would be able to make a movie. Except in the animated series, they gave some of the characters weird voices. So if they made Rakkety Tam into a movie, they'd probably bungle Tam and Doogy's accents. Share this post Link to post
Posted November 27, 2011 (edited) I see some really great suggestions in here! I would probably like to see Pern and Warriors made into movies, considering it is done correctly. http://collider.com/david-hayter-dragonfli...-of-pern/85654/ And I'd love to see the Ranger's Apprentice series made into movies. Posted November 27, 2011 Harry Potter! Lol, jk. I honestly don't know because besides Warriors, the only book I want them to make is the Hobbit and it's coming out in 2012/2013. (It's in two parts.) A GOOD remake of Eragon would be great. Share this post Link to post

A GOOD remake of Eragon would be great. I liked Eragon, but then I read the books and the movie was almost nothing like the book. They should do a re-make, but I'll still like the current one. I know I'm excited! EDIT: Oops! Looks like I was beat a few posts up. Edited November 29, 2011 by kudzu Share this post Link to post
Posted November 30, 2011 And I'd love to see the Ranger's Apprentice series made into movies. Me too! Which is why this got me rather excited. Apparently a Ranger's Apprentice movie is indeed in the planning stages. People are discussing who they think would be good for what roles and such. (Personally I think Jeremy Irons or Viggo Mortensen would make a great Halt.) Share this post Link to post

I love the Redwall series (I've been reading this books for over five years). x3 I can't say that the plot is really the same, it's more like the theme is repeated; good triumphs over evil. But that's just my thought. :3 Share this post Link to post
Posted December 24, 2011 Meh... I think most movies based on books sucked epic-ly. They would KILL Redwall Share this post Link to post
Posted December 24, 2011 Meh... I think most movies based on books sucked epic-ly. They would KILL Redwall That depends on who got it. If the right directors got it, and they got the right actors, the right writers, the right animators, etc... But that's a lot to hope for, I guess. Share this post Link to post
Posted January 2, 2012 I'd like to see the first Warriors series turned into a TRADTIONAL animated movie. Though knowing the movie people, they'd probably screw up the story to fit the 2 hour time limit. Share this post Link to post
Posted January 2, 2012 I'd like to see the first Warriors series turned into a TRADTIONAL animated movie. Though knowing the movie people, they'd probably screw up the story to fit the 2 hour time limit. They were planning on making a movie, but with animation that's similar to the animation that was used in Narnia. I'm not sure if they still are. I love the first Warriors series. I'd definitely gather up a group of friends and go see a Warriors movie, especially if it was about the first series. I'd like to see them put the Icemark Chronicles into a movie series. Posted January 14, 2012 Oh goodness, all of these books I haven't read! I should definately look some of these up. Had anyone else read The Underland Chronicles, by Suzzane Collins, the same author as The Hunger Games? I realize they're geared towards a younger audience, but I absolutely loved them. If they stick to the story, I think they would make wonderful movies. Just the right amount of action in them. I would love to see The Giver, by Lois Lowry made into a movie as well! However, it does have some dark, and not exactly socially acceptable elements to it... so a movie is probably out of the question. :/ Oh! On a semi-related note, I wish they could make a good adaptation of the Animorph series, by K. A. Applegate. They came out with a few episodes on Nickelodeon many years ago, but they were, to put it nicely, not well made. Share this post Link to post
Posted January 15, 2012 After seeing how well A Game of Thrones done last year I think we'll begin to sea more and more books turned into long running tv shows as it would work better for the story. Personally, I'd love to see The Wheel of Time, or the Sword of Shannara in this vien. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 27, 2012 Well, not so much that I want them to make movies of books, but I want people to make better movies from m=books. Like the Black Stallion. I love the books, the the movie was boring. I think they kind of killed it by using such a young actor. And Percy Jackson and the Olympians? They're amazing books, but the characters seem to old and the Lotus Casino was overkill. Although I'd love to see Warriors, just the first arch, though, made into a movie, if they did it right. Posted March 27, 2012 I think the Gone Series, by Michael Grant, would make great movies!^^ Share this post Link to post
Posted March 27, 2012 Unf. The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander! (the series that "The Black Cauldron" was kind-of-sort-of-ish based on). The series is so phenomenal, it would make a spectacular set of movies. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 2, 2012 I don't know if this has been said, but Maximum Ride by James Patterson!! Also the Leviathan trilogy by Scott Westerfeld, and the Uglies series also by Scott Westerfeld. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 2, 2012 I don't know if this has been said, but Maximum Ride by James Patterson!! . THIS, THIS, THIS!! Also: Divergent - Veronica Roth Ethereal - Addison Moore I'll add more later, I'm trying to remember the name of another book, and it's driving me insane! Share this post Link to post
Posted April 2, 2012 (edited) Divergent looks interesting. Any idea how many books with be in the series...? (I don't like reading very long series' very much anymore.) Edit: herp-derp, looked at her website, answered my own question. Looks like it'll be a trilogy, which is good. Trilogies are nice, unlike series' with a book count of over 9000.
