Posted September 11, 2010 The walls at my home are fairly decent. A zombie couldn't bash through with fists for a bit but a nice swing of a crowbar could put a nice hole in it. As I said over and over. Even if you NEVER plan to do it having the option is a GOOD thing. You should try the kind of walls we mostly have in the UK. They're all made of brick. Posted September 11, 2010 Options, huh? Might as well keep scuba gear around too. Yeah, where I live the walls are pretty sturdy. If they weren't, I'd relocate - solid walls make a better barricade. Share this post Link to post

The only buildings I usually see made of brick are schools. Scuba gear isn't a bad idea. Zombies can't swim. Edited September 11, 2010 by crazywargod Share this post Link to post
Posted September 11, 2010 O_o Where do you live? As for that comment... there is only facepalm. Share this post Link to post
Posted September 11, 2010 It takes a lot of force to break oner of my walls... My brother got angry and punched one, and it only made a dent. A dude on the football team, defense, and only a dent. I go a lot of chairs and stuff in my room, and a flag pole that can but used as a weapon. My pantry is can heaven, I think my house would be really safe. Think. Share this post Link to post
Posted September 11, 2010 I think I'd keep a gun, crowbar, and knife at hand. Just keep the crowbar and knife in make-shift sheaths until they are needed. Share this post Link to post
Posted September 11, 2010 O_o Where do you live? As for that comment... there is only facepalm. Most houses where I live are made of wood and drywall. The exterior has a thin layer of bricks but the houses aren't made of them. Zombies can't swim. So why not take scuba gear? For your comment there is only facepalm. It is simple logic. They don't have the mental capacity to swim. You don't swim by kicking rapidly and wildly as a zombie would. If they are the dead stumbling kind they wouldn't kick at all. Posted September 11, 2010 Aaaand what's to say they ARE the dead, stumbling kind? What if they're the more active zombieland kind? The facepalm is just because of, well... I mean, why would you lug all that scuba gear around? Really? You're being extremely impractical. Share this post Link to post

I mean, why would you lug all that scuba gear around? Really? You're being extremely impractical. I explained that. They would kick spastically and would go nowhere but down. As for the scubasuit. It is all about planning. If you know where you are going then it could be very useful. Say you have a fully fueled boat on the peir. Fully stocked with supplies and there is nothing wrong with the boat BUT the front of the peir is a zombie party. You could swim but for the sake of quiet you use the scubagear, swim under water where you won't create so much noise, as quietly as possible get on the boat, start it and leave. Posted September 11, 2010 You gave ONE rather improbably situation for the scuba gear to be of use. You'd have to lug air tanks, goggles, and a ton of other stuff, put them all on (and know how to), get in the water, and climb onto the boat (which would be harder than if you'd gone with no gear on). You know what would work better? Holding your breath. Also, as Layn said, not to mention, scuba gear is only useful until the air runs out, because i don't think you'll have the facilities to make more compressed air when zombies strike Share this post Link to post

Yes it can be difficult but you don't really need the tank when you are on the boat. So you could take it off before you surfaced and loose that weight that it brings. How much stuff do you actually need in the water besides the tank? Your breadth only lasts so long. It isn't all that improbable. Share this post Link to post
Posted September 11, 2010 (edited) My walls are made of brick, so its only the doors and windows I'd have to take care off I think crowbars and knifes are about equal on killing power and usefulness, it also depends on what type of knife your talking about though cause a smooth knife is much better than a toothed/seragated. Edit: Forgot about the Scuba stuff, I think it would be useless, because... 1. When do you need to go underwater? 2.Im guessing scuba stuff with a tankful of air and weight to keep you under would be heavy and pointless to carry around, so unless a zombie is running/shuffling at you and your at the waters edge you're screwed. 3.The air in the tank is limited so if your planning on hiding under water you're screwed, again. 4.Im guessing, again, that it would take at least five minutes to get everything on and set up, so if a zombies coming at you and you aren't already wearing it and at the waters egde you're screwed. In zombie infested area. Not to mention if you surface too fast you'll get the bends. If you must swim to safety, use a snorkel. Quieter, cheaper, probably easier to obtain in event of zombie attack, and easier to carry. Edited September 11, 2010 by Layn Share this post Link to post

Posted September 12, 2010 Why buy scuba gear if you can swim across the top? I wrote a song about zombies awhile ago. .__. Hear them groaning hear them moaning They've come for part of you That part's your motor function They've come for mine too Seems they like the taste of blood, the taste of flesh The feeling of their teeth against raw skin Go ahead, pray and wish But I'm sure they're ending human kin They don't need an invitation They're outside the door Don't need to knock or ask for entry They'll barge plainly in Run away, run away Flesh eaters come another day Try and shoot 'em It won't do much good Bash their skulls Won't change their motive Bleed all over Scream on out Go on, do it Let out a shout No one will hear you No matter how loud you scream All your attempts will fail It's as though it's a dream Body torn apart, limb from limb Just because the monsters' appetites Why not go for a rare steak Why go for your brother's leg This my dear friend, is the end Shout it out Go on, run away Run away Share this post Link to post

Posted September 12, 2010 Noise. Under water is quieter then above. But you already said they can't swim, so what would be the point of it? Or you could breath in air, swim under water a bit, then get more air and all that chiz. Share this post Link to post
