Posted December 31, 2017 Remind me again how Zombies are supposed to be "easier" on the 31st? 15 tries so far and so far sweet FA to show for it other than a row of dragon-sized graves. Posted December 31, 2017 So... Another 31st with (limited) success... Got 3 ungendered hatchling Zombies out of 22 dead hatchies with 2 revivals. Two adult Zombies out of 10 is not too bad, but after my first 5 all disintegrated I was a little worried... Got only 4 new Zombie sprites out of it because apparently I already had a s1 Eastern Zombie. None of the others are especially noteworthy but I'm going to add them to the spreadsheet anyway... And I was just wondering why I didn't get another kill slot back because I killed 3 on the 17th (the 2 others dodged and died a few days later) and got one slot back from the revival, so I should have 5 + 3 + 1 = 9 attempts today... but the revival was one of the dragons that died on the 17th so that slot would have been one that returned today anyway. Well. January 31 is soon, so I better collect some messy Baikalas before the 17th. I will get that pretty Zombie sprite on my scroll! Edit: I found a new use for my "Ghosts" group... Since dragons disappear from it now when their tombstone disappears from my scroll, I can use it to check if I have kill slots available. I just add all the dead (adult) dragons to the group, and 5 tombstones in the group means no kill slot is available. As soon as a tombstone disappears, it means the kill slot is back. Posted December 31, 2017 2/9 total turned, 1/3 adults but I'm ending up wiht just 1/9... :/ sadly, 1 of them I overlooked to have a zombie of and accidentally made it a wrong fodder (hatchie instead of adult) and have to Expunge it:/ it's not the first time such mistake happened, I think it's the 3rd Zombie I wasted like this:/ Making them is just way too tedious, I get lost in tracking my progress and fodders so much... and instead of gaining 2 Zombies today, I'm ending up with just 1 more:( Zombie I'm keeping: NYhRE and the waste I have to expunge: sYQ8c Share this post Link to post

Posted December 31, 2017 (edited) Had a batch of zombies today. Got three hatchling zombies, and an adult zombie. Two of the hatchlings were western pygmies, which means that completes my scroll goal of ten western pygmy hatchlings. I even got a baikala hatchling zombie. I had had an adult, but no hatchlings. I'm happy with the results, especially after the latch batch's failure. I had dragons killed, meaning to try to zombify them yesterday, and I FORGOT. ;.; I'm going to have to just suck it up and do it tonight, but they're probably all going to fail. This is the first time I've ever wished that dead dragons lasted longer than two weeks. If only I could hold out for Jan 31st. Posted January 1, 2018 It wasn't so much that as the whole 'New Years Eve' symbolism. Since they're zombies, the death of the old year, all of that. But also, yeah, supposedly the 31st of a month has a higher chance. That doesn't always mean that's how it's going to play out in practice, especially since the chance is still overall pretty low. Nevertheless, the odds ARE still better then even if people haven't always had better RESULTS those days. Share this post Link to post

I did remember in time though to kill a new set and to try and revive what was left of my hatchlings(I may have had one or two disappear, I'm not sure). And yes, I think I had better results with it being on the 31st. The time before, I tried THIRTY PLUS hatchlings and didn't get a single zombie. I had about HALF that and got four yesterday. And the time before that I only got one out of about twenty. Yeah, I would agree that the increase isn't incredibly significant, but I do believe it is there.
