I have seen a Red from Mistletoe, a Green from Mistletoe, and a Blue from White Stripe.

Green Gem x Green Gem = blue gem

Green Gem x Red Gem = green gem

Blue Gem x Blue Gem = green gem

 

 

and Green x Mistletoe from jungle = blue

I picked up an AP egg with two green Gemshard parents. The egg hatched green, so they can breed true. I'll post a link when the baby grows up.

I've picked up another AP green hatchling, this time with two blue parents, and the first of the eggs that I sent to the AP is a blue from the red parents. I'll post the one I own when it grows up.

 

They can breed true, but it seems there is no consistency.

 

I also had my first refusal, from http://dragcave.net/lineage/0TORJ and http://dragcave.net/lineage/APxU6. Hopefully they'll like the other two blues when they're breedable.

It would seem so. Thank you for all your hard work. So far the only "rule" I haven't seen an exception to is Gemshard x Tinsel colors correctly, which is likely luck.

Alpine x Blue Gemshard = Red Gemshard was already posted in this thread ( http://dragcave.net/lineage/GxTNj ) so that isn't consistent.

 

I agree that coloring is most likely random.

This red gem might be especially interesting to those collecting breeding results. Dad is a bred blue gem and Mom is a royal crimson from the volcano. Grandparents have already been reported, but this line represents all three color options from royal crimson mates.

Well the easiest way to determine if it is random is breed the same pair over and over. If you get all 3 colours it is probably random.

Have lovely blue gem from red gem x alpine/life. And I know of a red gem from a red x alpine/life, but I won't link to it since I don't own it.

All my breedings have been pure Gemshard to Gemshard - so far:

 

Red x Red = Red

Green x Green = Red

Blue x Blue = Green

 

I have one more egg from Green x Green that will hatch in less than 10 hours

All I know is that I bred a red and a green and got blue, which was exactly what I wanted.

Actually, @Odeen gave me permission to use their avatars as a cycler, so we can use that as the very first avatar cycler. 

 

I'll still make little ones though.
