Through Tooth and Claw...

((Please do not control my character, TimeFlame. That is not allowed. Only I can control what Skyshriek does, because I'm her player.))

 

The magma dragoness was now injured, so Skyshriek only had the black and the newcomer to deal with for now. The strange dragoness revealed her name and species to be Time the last Temporal dragon. Then she blew blue flames at Skyshriek. The flames didn't hurt as much as the magma's attack did, but it still hurt. Then Time scratched at Skyshriek's eyes that were closed tightly before a single claw got to the glowing green eyeballs. "Oh yeah? Well I hate your kind, too! You and the rest of the garbage here!" Skyshriek snarled before she swiped her claw at the temporal dragoness and knocked her away from the head. Then Skyshriek tackled her and started to slash at her with her claws. Time fought back with her blue fire breath and claws. Skyshriek knocked her off of her head and spewed stones at her before she tackled the temporal and bite her on the neck.

Kreen shrieked in pain when the Stone bit down on her neck.

Time to get serious!

She also slashed the Stone with sharp, bloodstained claws, trying to aim for her eyes. She turned to the girl and shook her head sadly.

"As I said, we would never hurt a fly."

She paused, then whispered,

"with exceptions to that Stone of course."

Kreen turned to the Stone dragoness again.

"DON"T HURT HER YOU CLUMP OF ROCK YOU!"

She scrambled on top of her head and dug deep with her claws, and bit down.

Kitsune stared at the girl and her egg in curiosity, Zarazo shakily clinging to her teal hair.

W-W-We're covered in our own blood... he mumbled, close to crying. Everything hurts...

"I know... I hurt too... But, it's ok, right? At least we're all together again..." she scooped the nebula hatchling into her arms as he sobbed and she sat there, shaking in pain. Everything hurt, but Zarazo was with her now... She turned back to staring at the girl and Xander. It had just occurred to her that she was the youngest human there... She suddenly felt like a child. As the magma lost heat due to her wounds the rain began coming down around them again, save for Xander and the girl who were close enough to the magma to stay dry. It was pouring now, the weight of it almost crushing Kitsune down. Unnatural rain, almost. Kitsune hugged Zarazo tightly and closed her eyes in sudden fear. They felt so small here... Truly, lost childeren. "It's alright," Kitsune comforted, fear showing in her voice, "you have to be brave. I'll die before I let that Stone get you."

B-But then we'd both be dead... I don't want you to die. Zarazo licked her bloody cheek, comforting her back. They were still both terrified and shaking violently, however. Kitsune slowly crept closer to Ruination to escape the rain, wishing she could help fight. She stopped several feet from the girl, staring at the egg. "...You said it floats away, right?" Kitsune mumbled, pulling a long purple ribbon from her pocket and holding it out to the girl. "If you w-want, it'll look like a balloon... O-Or, you could tie your hair back with it... My hair's too short for it, anyways." her voice was cracking due to the cold and her paralyzing fear of the stone, making her seem even younger than she really was.

Arella looked at the ribbon, blinking. Was this some kind of trick? why was this girl giving her something when they'd just met?

Still, she did need something to tie her hair back with.

She took it, and held her egg under her arm to tie the bow around her hair so it was a loose side ponytail, that hung over her shoulder.

"Thanks... my egg will be fine. i just need to hold onto it more."

the girl seemed to be cold, and for a moment she was tempted to give her the jacket she had packed in her messenger bag, but then decided against it. She walked closer to the heat of the magma and sat next to where xander stood. She wanted to leave, but with that stone dragon blocking the way she was heading, and the storm starting up again, it was safer here.

Kitsune watched as the older girl slowly tied up her hair and cautiously krept closer to the magma dragon, Zarazo climbing back onto her head. They were just outside the heat barrier, where the rain still fell on them, but she could tell the girl was suspicious of something. She decided against the comfort of the magma, but Zarazo had other plans. He hopped off of her head and ran to Ruination, leaving faint sticky blood tracks. Had they really bled that much? She stared at her body, completely covered in the red fluid and clinging to her skin uncomfortably. The rain helped slightly, but not much. She stared as the tiny Nebula hatchling hugged Ruination's leg, soaking up all the warmth it could. Her mind began to involuntarily wander as she stared at the egg, and cleared as she looked away. Curious...

Arella watched as the little dragon went up and clung to the heat of the magma. after a moment of looking at the blood, she sighed, reached into her bag, and pulled out a rag. she put her egg in the bag so it wouldnt fly away, then went up to the little dragon and reached out to cautiously wipe a bit of the blood off. the poor little thing didnt deserve to be in the state it was; it made her sad to see it.

that stone dragon was a big bully.

Zarazo jumped, startled, at the girl's touch. He glanced at Kitsune, who slowly nodded and guestured to the girl. After a few seconds, he hesitantly crept forward to the girl and gently lay his tiny head by her lap, taking care not to touch it. It'd get bloodstains all over it, which couldn't possibly please the girl. Kitsune winced and pushed a hand into her eye in pain, her vision getting blurry. Seeing Zarazo unaffected, she realised that there were some exeptions to their bond. Her eye throbbed beneath her hand as she pushed her back against a tree, still sitting on the damp floor. Her skin burned slightly as mud got into her wounds, but she didn't mind. Zarazo didn't seem affected, after all, though she did notice his distress. Every few seconds he would glance over to her, still terrified. That was one thing they shared at the moment; Kitsune knew that if the girl pulled some kind of trick and bashed Zarazo over the head, they both were at risk.

"hey," arella said quietly, not even glancing at kitsune as she cleaned the blood from the dragon, "you better come over here and sit down before you pass out."

The blood mostly cleared away, she tossed the cloth rag aside, no longer wanting it since it was covered in red.

She hugged her knees to her chest and stared down at the ground. The rain didnt fall around the magma, it evaporated in tiny steamy whisps before it hit the dragon. at her waist, she could feel the egg floating in her bag a little, so she clung to it tighter.

Time was bleeding heavily, and she was getting dizzy "I am going to die if I lose to much blood" thought Time. The blind Temporal dragoness thought of the body of a stone dragon, maybe she could find a flaw in its armor or something. WAIT! THATS IT! "Hey! STONEY!" called Time to the Stone dragon "bet your to heavy to catch me!" with that said she started running east.

The temporal dragoness tried to tempt Skyshriek into chasing her, but the stone dragoness wasn't going to fall for that now because she was too busy fighting the black dragoness, who was trying to attack her head. 'Damn it! The hell are they always trying to tear off my head! Why not attack my other body parts?!' she thought. Then she bit the black's neck harder and tried to hold her claws down by grabbing the black's front legs and pushing them down to the ground. "I will have my replacement vampire and I will destroy those humans!" Skyshriek snarled through the black's skin.

Kitsune rose suddenly and walked up to the fighting dragons, silent tears pouring down her expressionless face. "Please, stop fighting!" she screamed, horrified. "With so many dragons, you don't even NEED a replacement vampire! Just STOP! LET THE BLOODSHED END!" She sank to her knees, clutching her right eye with both hands now. It hurt... It hurt so much... The pain alone was enough to make her cry. It burned into her skull and throbbed through her skin... Make it stop, please, just make it STOP...

Kitsu- BLARGH! Zarazo hacked a fresh glob of blood onto the ground as Kitsune did the same, curling into a fetal position. Everything burned...

This time Kreen felt real hard pain, and made a sound half-way between a gasp and a scream.

"You'll pay for that!"

She said weakly. Then, with a contemptous hiss, she jumpt off her, then sat down next to Zarazo, shivering as she bled near her neck.

One of the female humans walked up to the battling dragonesses and plead them to stop fighting. After the black dragoness pushed Skyshriek off of her and went to the girl's side, Skyshriek growled, "You don't understand, human. If Fang discovers at least one vampire youngling missing, he'll have my head for it! And I don't intend to have him discover that without bringing a replacement to fill that stupid pygmy's spot." Then she looked at the black and said, "Looks like I've gotten 2 of you wounded now. Time to take out the temporal dragoness." Then she turned her attention to Time and ran after her.

Narrowing her eyes, Kreen spat distastefully at the dragoness, and looked alarmed at Zarazo and Kitsune. Out of instinct, she licked Zarazo's wounds, trying to clear the blood off.

Time heard no sounds of persuit and from that she could tell that her plan wasn't working..." then I guess there is no other way" she darted back and found the stone dragon. "STOP THIS........ I will replace the missing vampire take me Stone dragon.... I am a hatchling. I will only come with you if you leave them alone" Time ran to Kitsune " Nynx can be turned back to normal if you have him drink water from Pure Pond, head south until night comes then follow the blue fireflies" She then walked over to the stone dragon and bowed her head "I am ready to go, I shall wait till the vampires arrive" Time then started walking for the FangClan cave. Time offered herself to be a replacement vampire for Nyx and said that she'll go if Skyshriek leaves the humans and the others alone. Skyshriek thought about it and asked, "You're not going to dash off and leave me behind halfway, are you?" She needed to make sure she could trust the temporal hatchling before she could leave. Then when Time said that she'll wait until the Fangclan vampires return, Skyshreik smiled and said, "Okay, then we're off. Come with me." Skyshriek walked away from the humans and their dragons and headed back towards the cave.

I hope this was a good idea Time thought to herself I hope they will be able to find Pure Pond She was walking along with the stone who she gave herself up to " So how long have you worked for Fang? It must be hard working for him" Edited May 28, 2010 by TimeFlame

"I've been working for Fang ever since he became leader," Skyshriek said as the cave came into sight. "He, unlike the other soft clans who flee from humans taking up territory, vowed to exterminate the humans, who have cause a lot of problems for us dragons for years, and I & the rest of the clan intend to help him with his goal." They were now inside the cave and Skyshriek walked through the tunnel to get to the vampire room.

"You know all humans are not that bad I knew one long ago, before..." Time stopped her sentence there because the cave came into view. Time entered the cave with the Stone dragon "Ugh, how can you stand this smell?" asked Time as they entered the vampire room. "I'm used to this smell because I'm a stone dragon and I don't have any sense of smell. Really makes me glad about that when I'm in a place like this," Skyshriek said. If Time could smell the vampire eggs, then that must mean that they were getting closer to the vampire room. Then they entered the room and Skyshriek said, "Now, don't step on the eggs or I'll have to go back outside for the nebula." The stone dragoness walked around the foul-smelling eggs & dead-like hatchlings and sat in front of the wall as she leaned against it.

"Of corse not that is against my true nature" said Time to the Stone dragoness as she was weaving around the dead and undead eggs and hatchlings looking for a nice comfortable spot in the room "By the way, aren't you at least a little bit corious about Temporal Dragons? Time asked if Skyshriek was curious or not to hear about the temporal dragons and that it'll be the last time to hear about them before she turns into a vampire."Okay fine, let's hear about your race. At least it'll keep me from being bored to death," Skyshriek said.

Time nodded her head and began her tale “450 years ago, we Temporal dragons lived in peace. We had seen things no other creature alive would dream of, but we never revealed ourselves to anyone or anything. We only revealed ourselves to ones pure of heart. The human that took the Pigmy dragon from here was one of pure heart which is why I dashed to help. Because long ago there was a horrible war, this war made a distortion in time so we Temporal dragons where greatly affected." She paused then continued "If you did not know this, Temporal is another word for TIME; my species was called this because we were the ones who made the THREAD of TIME... Without this thread the the fabric of space would become distorted and than that will be the end of THIS world." She waited to hear at least one remark from the Stone Dragon. With no reply she continued "Anyway, there were two armies: the Army of Light and the Army of Darkness. The Army of Light was winning but, that was what caused the distortion. You see, there must always be Good but Evil must also be there as well. Without one another there would be great unbalance in nature, time, space, etc. One must always be present with the other. We Temporal Dragons tried to stay out of the way of the war but some brave but foolish dragons set off to join the fight. After this I was born, my mother's name was Diamond and my father's was Spear. After I had just learned to talk and fly my Clan was attacked. I don't know who but a Stone and Black dragon killed my parents the Stone then sealed me away in the Time Thread room; I fell into a deep sleep. The next time I opened my eyes I was blind. I remember an earthquake releasing the seal and I was free. I looked for my family and friends but soon, I found everyone’s graves. I also learned that I was stuck in my hatchling body never to grow. It was because of the Time Thread in the room I was exposed to it to long which is why I am like this." As Time finished her story she felt tired from the fight earlier and fell asleep.
