Pern: A World of Dragonriders and Dragons

(( found the post Jaina. You're right Terin sent a messenger and he and Aoi met in his study. I'll go edit my post ))

Edit:

Sesania gratefully took the wine with a warm smile. "He'll receive the best care I'm sure." Sesania hurried back to Ezran and the unknown rider. She was positive now that she'd never seen the rider before. Sure Sesania had only been here in the weyr for a week or two, but she'd met quite a few of the bronze riders already. It had been part of her duty to meet as many of the riders as she could. Since S'ron seemed to ignore that part of his duty as weyr harper, it had been left up to her.

Sesania held the wine while Ezran added the Fellis. She was wracking her mind over the two names. Realization dawned on her and she nearly dropped the wine. She knew the name Tanistha, she'd read it in a very old scrap of hide with an old song written on it. She gaped in surprise.

((I'm not entirely sure.))

V'nov was a little surprised at the question. Perhaps they were checking for head injury? "Junior Weyrwoman. Rider of gold Tzilth. And she's my Weyrmate." V'nov was starting to become a little concerned. This wasn't how things were usually handled. Where was Tanistha? Surely she'd have come to see him by now? Something was very wrong. Had something happened to her? How could it have? He'd been gone less than two hours, and she'd been with Tzilth; Tzilth would never let anything happen to her rider. What was going on?

Heedana knew that her suspicions were confirmed when Sesania nearly spilled the wine on her shoulder. She looked at him in the eyes knowing he was truly concerned about his mate which made her heart ache all the more. "Wingleader V'nov, I'm...I'm afraid that you aren't in the time that you think you are. It looks as if you came forward...over a thousand years I'm guessing." She said and looked towards Sesania for confirmation. She stayed where she was feeling her mind reel. Lessa had already brought the oldtimers from the past, but again, he did this on his own and how rare is that? "For the moment, Wingsecond Ezran and Dragon Harper Sesania will be taking care of you while I help our other Junior Weyrwoman tend to your dragon." she said and allowed Ezran to come back into view.

"I think he's from even earlier then when Lessa went back too. Lessa went back to the time after the last threadfall ended." Sesania said softly so that only Heedana would hear her. Robinton had told her of what had happened to Lessa when she'd jumped back that far. It had nearly killed the weyrwoman. How had this man jumped even farther, but to a future he had no idea existed?

Carefully, Sesania held the wine out for V'nov. She didn't know what to say to comfort him, so she fell back onto what came natural for her. Sesania waited to listen to whatever he had to say. She felt bad for him, being so far from the woman he loved. She wondered if she would ever be able to live through such an experience if she were torn away from E'ran the way V'nov had been torn from his Tanistha.

Aoi leisurely lead the way down into the smithy, not caring they followed her or not. Sedath was waiting for them, wrapped about Aoi's usual chair. The light from the forge cast yellow-orange light about the room, illuminating the dozens of weapons that were on the walls. She gathered up the spear heads she had made and dumped them into a bucket with more she had previously made in preparation for bulk orders. "The armor you see there has been made from the aluminum you provided, it will provide protection as good as any steel armor of twice the weight." Aoi said with an indicating wave as she watched them enter behind her.

"Good," murmured Cleo. None of the wing bones were damaged significantly. Just the membrane. "You're doing quite well," she reassured Xyliana. Then a peculiar expression grew on her face. She was sensing something from the bronze, a lessening of pain inconsistent with the amount of numbweed applied. She looked over at the bronze then at the azure female sitting nearby. Is she doing something to him? she asked Neith. She is deadening his pain receptors. Very well, as long as she can undeaden them when he's past the danger of shock. Cleo went back to supervising the other woman's efforts.

Neith remained where she was, simply because she was likely too big to get much closer without crowding out all others. In response to the little gray Emeroth, she stated, The best you can do is grow up big and strong. She nodded for the hatchling to go to the black's aide. When green Jubilath asked what to do, Neith consulted with Cleo, then directed, Fetch him a beast from the pen. He will need a meal soon. Neith crooned and shifted over slightly when the older Tilleth landed next to her. The striped queen's eyes were slowly revolving in calm colors, and she projected that calmness to all within reach.

"A thousand..." whispered V'nov. No. It can't be. But then, he didn't recognize anyone. There were dragons unlike any that he had ever seen before. Maybe... No! It can't be! But if he was... V'nov reached out with one shaking hand, taking the wine. After a steadying sip, he asked the burning question, the only question, the only hope he had. "T-tell me..." He faltered, took another drink, started again. "Tell me. I have to know. Did I ever come back?" He had to have gone back. Otherwise, he might as well have died in that fall. After all, if he hadn't gone back, he couldn't go back, and everything he loved was lost to him. No, not everything. He still had one thing...

Nearby, Iotenth stirred weakly. V'nov...

Sesania bit her lip. She knew the answer to his question, and it was complicated. "The hide with Tanistha's name was very worn," She began slowly. "Half of the song was faded beyond recognition." She'd stumbled across the hide during her studies back at the Harper Hall, almost by accident. It had been during the beginning of thread fall, almost two years ago and Robinton had asked her to go into the archives to try and find something that would explain the dissemblance of the weyrs. Sesania found out later that it had been Weyrwoman Lessa who had requested the search.

Sesania had found the scrap of hide, tucked away in an old trunk. It had been a blessing that any of it could be read with how old the hide was. But of that, only a few lines were understandable. "The song spoke of a love lost to thread and the wounded heart of Tanistha. I'm sorry, everything else was lost." Sesania wished she could give him some good news, something to give him hope. "But it wouldn't be that hard to send you back. Lessa brought the weyrs forward through time, I'm sure she and F'lar could figure out how to send you back!" It was all the hope she could give him. If anyone could figure it out how, it would be Lessa.

Emeroth grew excited as the injured bronze began to stir. She held very still though, unsure if she should go forward to try and help him any way she could. "My Sesania is helping him" Emeroth said helpfully, showing the bronze a mental image of her rider. The young gray tried really hard not to go forward to nuzzle against the bronzes neck and side, but she was fighting a lost battle. Slowly, she began to crawl forward until she was nose to nose with the great bronze.

EDIT:

Vixenith easily finished shutting down the other pain receptors while making sure that she concentrated hard enough. It surprised her when the other dragon started to awaken. With her higher ability of telapthy, she projected strong feelings of peace and calm as he started to awake. You are safe. You're rider is safe and you are being taken care of as is he. She said in her soft sultry voice. She then glanced at Xyliana who was still working on the wing. When she told her rider that the dragon was awaking, well, Xyliana's hands became far more deft than they had been. When she saw Emeroth getting closer to the male, she hummed a slight warning to be careful and then watched with a surprised look on her face.

Xyliana looked at the rider and wondered what in the world was going on when she finally fixed the rest of his wing and had it fully sewn up. She then slathered the rest of the wing with numbweed and looked at Cleo wondering what they were going to do about the side wounds. She looked back at T'ron and smiled at him feeling at home doing what she knew best.

Heedana nodded in agreement to Sesania. "Sesania is right. If anyone could figure out how to get you home, it would be Lessa. But you'll have to heal up first and I am sure that our Healer Journeywoman will be a great help there. You'll be healed in no time as will Iotenth." she said glancing at the second largest queen dragon in the weyr. She really wished Soria was there but knew that she was busy with K'leb. "Sesania, when we get done here, I'll go and search the archives with you to make sure that we find all information that we have on him as well as his weyrmate." she said and then let Ezran get back to work.

Ezran finished peeling away V'nov's shirt from his back and grimaced ever so slightly as she did so. The burn was deep but luckily it had all been frozen off and there wasn't really anything to pluck out of the wound. "You're lucky." she said as she cleaned the edges now that it was totally numbed of any pain. It was rough trying to get the fibers off of the edges of the skin but it wasn't as hard as she thought as she used tweezers. "There, it looks a lot better now that everything is cleaned up." She helped him to sit up slowly, her young body used to helping grown men when injured, so that his head wouldn't swim and gently pulled the rest of his shirt off so she could wrap his torso in gauze to take care of the wound. "Looks like you have been in contact with Thread a whole bunch." she said as she glance at the various scars on his chest, arms and back.

E'ran looked at the rider and dragon and then made sure both were alright before Gleanixth moved while he was on his back over to the small gray Emeroth and sat beside her and Vixenith seeming to protect them as he stood there. "Gleanixth..." E'ran mumbled then laughed as he slid down his dragon's side. He walked over to Heedana and Sesania, curious about what was going on.

G'lor slid down and tore off the gauze around his eye. The score hadn't healed all that well do to his own stubbornness and it itched like crazy. "What do I need to do to help?" he asked Cleo ignoring his still hazy eye.

Gora smirked at him being uncomfortable then lead him to the sands where it was warm but not to hot. No one was there especially high up in the stands and to a corner where no one would see them and where they could observe if they wished to. "Ya know, just being with each other is pleasant." she said with a grin.

Kandicath dashed off after her rider looking back for Leroth to see if he was coming. WHen she touched the sands she decided to roll in them and was rather surprised at how warm they were to her and loved to feel the warmth everywhere even on her wings!

((Hey...i overslept a bit... If i remember right YOU were the one who kept me up late last night anyway! Sheesh))

Lerin smiled deviously at him, knowing very well that she'd gotten his goat yet again, and decided to let him simmer for a bit. It was always an interesting game with him, pushing and pushing but never too far.

She followed him silently to Aoi's smithy, a feat given her affinity for needling him incessantly. When he stopped and told her to wait, she considered disobeying just to remind him that she did not take orders from him or anyone else, but her instincts told her that proceeding at this point would be unwise. She raised an eyebrow first at the mention of traps, and then further at the unpleasant metallic sound that emanated from the passage. "Such an inviting woman, i see why you like her" she whispered, making a note to keep an extra close watch on this smith.

She nodded at the introduction and laughed derisively. "Yes, i heard your high praise and just knew i had to come down and see how over exaggerated it was. I know how you always like to take things and blow them entirely out of proportion." she said with a pitying glance at Terin. "I look forward to evaluating your work first hand" she said to Aoi, walking over and placing a companionable hand on the woman's shoulder as they proceeded into the smithy. "I'm sure it's exemplary, despite his tendency to stretch the truth." She did her best to seem friendly as she followed silently into the warm inner work area, some might even say a bit too friendly. She walked over to the armor indicated and examined it with a critical eye but said nothing, simply watching the other two for the moment.

T'ron escorted her through the food line, his stomach uninterested despite the array of appealing foods. It was, some would say, one of his weaknesses. His lack of appetite sometimes caused him to forget to eat for days if he got distracted. He was admittedly a bit surprised at her admission that she was glad that Tsinth had caught Vixenith. "Oh really? Am i really that irresistible?" he asked, teasing right back. He waved off the offered food and shook his head. "Thanks but i'm not hungry" he assured her with a a smile

He jumped when she did, simply out of reaction to her sudden change. "Aint that the truth" he muttered, following her out to see a rather badly wounded rider and dragon. "What the...I dont remember any threadfall scheduled for today!" he said in surprise. He nodded at Xyliana and gathered the weyrlings around to watch but still keeping them out of the way of those at work mending the injured pair.

T'nor felt her lips against his cheek and colored slightly. "Well i just didnt want you to think i was...oh never mind" he said, deciding silence was best though that didnt stop his face from reddening further. "Let's get out of here for a bit" he said, suddenly eager to be away from others. He noticed the odd dragon falling from the sky but there were enough others rushing to help and he didnt have anything to contribute anyway so he put it from his mind. "So uh..." he started but found himself with nothing to say.

Aoi took a touch of offense at having her skills doubted. "You will find no finer smith then me, however, aluminum is a new metal for me as it is so rare for us smiths to work with it. So for a kiosks while the quality will be less than it eventually will be. Below standard pieces will be recycled." she said curtly. She could tell it was in this woman's nature to be snide and a bit rude, but that didn't mean Aoi would stand by while her skills and work were wrongly criticized.

((ah, glad you mentioned it! i totally forgot))

T'ron returned her smile, still a bit uneasy about being around the injured. It was something that he'd struggled with most of his life and probably the primary reason that he didnt follow in his parents footsteps and go into healing. Well, aside from being taken to the weyr anyway. Managing sore or damaged muscles was one thing, something he could stand, but real injuries made his stomach turn. It wasnt the blood, that never bothered him. It was just the thought of how it must feel to have the wounds inflicted on ones self that made his skin crawl. He envied her for her ease in such situations more than she knew.

T'nor followed her willingly out onto the warm sands of the weyr and settled in with her in one of the more secluded corners. Not precisely as far from others as he would have liked, still being able to see groups passing and hear the activity that constantly filled a weyr, but it was better and Gora was with him. "Yes, yes it indeed is!" he said enthusiastically, pulling her into a gentle embrace and holding her there, content for the moment.

Leroth followed after her stealthily, or as stealthily as a large red moving brick can be, and watched her start rolling around in the sands. He allowed her to flop around for a time before pouncing on her, sending them both tumbling through the gritty sands. He laughed as he pinned her back to the warm, shifting surface and nuzzled her neck. Hey look, i found a sand witch! he said with a laugh

Cleo helped Xyliana fold up the wing properly, so that they could get a look at the scores on the dragon's body. She kept one hand in contact with him at all times, but it didn't seem all that necessary. With her own queen and apparently the black broadcasting calmness at him, there was no chance the poor fellow could feel anything else. Anyway, the scores on the bronze's body didn't look like they went any deeper than muscle, so the best thing to do was slather them with numbweed and put bandages on top, which she promptly did. Finishing with that, Cleo addressed the azure dragon. "You can take off the pain block now, but do it slowly, in case I've missed something." The young weyrwoman looked around. She spotted T'ron riding herd on the weyrlings, who were conveniently gawking at them. "T'ron, please take some of the weyrlings and clean up one of the empty weyrs. Pick one that's on ground level," she said.

((Okay. I'm just going to pretend that R'bah and Rebekah came over with the other weyrlings. dry.gif My memory doesn't like me.))

Lishi fought to keep from blushing. Oh yes. She most definitely remembered that. "Oh yeah," she said. She didn't say anything else, not knowing what else to say, for one. She settled for mentally berating herself for joining in earlier.

Valiath lifted her head a bit higher, tilting it to one side as she did so. Hi, Retirrrith, she said, trying to roll the r's like he did. She did say something about that, but I think she's embarrassed about it now. Her eyes whirled and she made sure that her rider wasn't paying attention before she spoke again. He can? In that case, even he's going to have a hard time... my rider has to be the grumpiest person in all of Pern, she declared. And she's not even old!

Rebekah stood in the group with the other weyrlings, but she hung towards the back. Injured people made her nervous. All she knew how to do was put some numbweed on the injury and then hope someone else was around.

That's why we need to learn, Qannath said to her anxious rider. We're gonna fly Thread someday, and more likely than not we'll get injured. It happens to everyone. So we need to know what to do.

R'bah heard Xyliana asking T'ron to clean up an empty weyr, and noticed that Dereth was ever so slowly edging away. The bronze rarely left his side, but apparently the prospect of going with him to clean a weyr wasn't appealing. Oh come on, Dereth, he teased. You refuse to leave while I'm eating. The bronze replied very quietly, so that R'bah almost couldn't hear him. The young rider pretended to sigh in exasperation. Oh fine. I guess you would just get in the way. Go on, maybe you can find some food of your own.

The young bronze hadn't known whether he was supposed to even be with his rider just then, but nobody was noticing him slinking away. He did not want to spend time cleaning a weyr when he could be doing something else. But then, the wounded bronze did spark his interest. A few other dragons were apparently somehow helping, but what could one more do? He himself wasn't really good at much of anything, and he wouldn't be until he could fly properly.

((sorry Ramoth, I had a late night last night and forgot about the yellow and light violet.))

Xyliana helped Cleo the best that she could and nodded to her wonderful azure dragon who was the size of a regular dragon hatchling which was the size of your common runner beast, although slightly more broad and a little taller at her shoulders. Xyliana watched as her dear dragon's eyes shifted between all of the colors as she felt the other dragons emotions. With a sigh, Vixenith released the last sensor that held back pain and felt herself stand up slightly with the relief of an extra mind. Xyliana ran her hand along the dragon's back leg feeling for any strained muscles and couldn't feel any and decided to take a sip of the wine being offered to her by a weyrling. She only sipped at it before handing it back and watched the interaction between Heedana, Sesania, Ezran and the rider.

G'lor looked to the weyrlings noting some of their faces without his bandage on and grimaced. I must look horrible to them. He thought not taking into consideration that his dragon could hear him. G'lor, it may look rough, but your heart is kind and that is all that matters. G'lor smiled at his dragon's comment then took to helping the weyrlings clean up a path to a ground weyr. "There's one available next to mine Junior Weyrwoman Cleo. I can clean it out with a few good hands." He pointed out most of the male Weyrlings including R'bah and had them come along with their dragons.

Gora smiled at T'nor's happiness and was surprised when he pulled her into a close embrace but enjoyed it as she encircled her arms around his waist and her head on his chest. She could hear his heart beating much like she used to do with Kandicath when she was smaller and could hear how strong and powerful it was. She could hear Kandicath skittering around in the sand and laughing and talking with Leroth.

Kandicath laughed and then laughed all the more when Leroth nuzzled her neck. He happened to have hit her only tickle spot on her neck. Leroth that tiiicklleess! She said then tried to un-pin herself but only ended up getting more sand all over her. I like the sand. She said randomly and grinned up at him.

Cleo looked up at G'lor, noting the poorly healed eye. "Very good. Take some of the weyrlings with you. And keep that eye covered while you're rousting dust into the air." Then she moved over to the rider. With the bronze taken care of, she could see how the rider was doing. She saw that he was in good hands, so that freed her to snatch some food and drink and huddle next to her great striped queen while she ate. It had been a long time since she had anything cooked with decent spices, or bread and cheese for that matter.

((xd.png Thanks Love, I was hoping G'lor would pick him!))

R'bah restrained himself from snickering as G'lor picked out a lot of the male weyrlings, including himself. He didn't mind cleaning anything out when another rider benefited. Plus he really did need to get to know the other weyrlings a lot better. He'd be spending the majority of his lifetime from now on around them. Now that's an interesting thought...

Can G'lor read minds? Dereth mumbled mentally, not saying anything about his rider's recent thoughts. Cleaning is boring. And I'm hungry. The bronze ignored his rider's comment that he'd eaten not all that long ago and followed him and the others behind G'lor, then got an idea. He spoke directly to G'lor, not using a title because he wasn't sure what his was. G'lor, can you tell what me and my rider are thinking? Because I was thinking I didn't want to clean out a weyr and my rider was teasing me a little about it, he added bluntly.

V'nov? Iotenth asked his rider. He was concerned; V'nov wasn't saying much, but Iotenth could feel pain and turmoil running off of him in waves. There were thoughts there as well, but they didn't make any sense to the wounded Bronze. Iotenth could also feel the fuzziness of the thoughts that meant that V'nov should be sleeping. I am here. All will be well. With that mental nudge, Iotenth felt V'nov fall asleep.

Iotenth turned his attention to the small dragon right in front of him. She didn't look like any dragon he'd ever met before, but that was fine. Hello, little one. I am Iotenth. The bronze's mental voice was warm as he said it. He wasn't worried. V'nov was worrying enough for them both. Tanistha had told him that his "voice" sounded like V'nov's. Iotenth liked that. Then he remembered the Queen that had also spoken to him. He should probably talk to her too; Queens got annoyed when ignored, and upset Queens were no fun. Except Tzilth, of course. Tzilth was always perfect. Although, she could be quite scary when she was mad...

Thank you. Iotenth said, putting as much self-abasing gratitude into the words as he could. Queens tended to like that.

Neith blinked slowly. You are welcome, she responded. Then she looked up, searching out her two little cousins, the ones she grew up with before getting lost in time. Isis and Osiris came spiraling down at her call. The queen asked them to fetch fish and return. The two little fire-lizards chirped and flicked between. Neith turned her attention back to Cleo, soliciting eye-ridge scratches from her beloved rider.

Several moments later, Isis and Osiris returned, working together to carry a large fish, which they dropped to the sand next to Iotenth. The fish flopped weakly, chilled, as it gasped for water and got only air. The two fire-lizards flicked back between for another fish, which they dropped in front of Neith this time. The queen lowered her head to eat daintily.

S'ron chuckled and gestured with his head towards the food hall. "I don't know about you, but I'm starving." He could tell that she felt at least a little uncomfortable, and he could understand why. He had put on quite a show when he had proposed to Heedana. "So how long have you been here in Benden Weyr?" S'ron asked curiously. He liked learning about people, especially people that knew those he cared about. Maybe he could get a little information on what had been going on in Heedana's life these last couple turns. He could ask her, he had asked her, but sometimes a different point of view was important.

"If anyone can, S'rrron can!" Retirrrith said confidently. He didn't relay his conversation with Valiath to S'ron, but then S'ron didn't ask either. S'ron was in the middle of his own conversation right now. "Maybe she's just 'ad a rrrough time with people?" Retirrrith commented. S'ron had been telling him about his life before the weyr, about everyone he'd met. From what Retirrrith had learned, people tended to be grumpy when they had bad experiences.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I am Gray Emeroth!" Emeroth said with as much warmth as she could. She knew she was strange, the new colors were all strange, and that she was only the second gray to even be around so far. She'd learned that from Sesania, who had learned it from E'ran during their lessons on new colors. Sesania was helping E'ran to organize the information on the new colors. "Gleanixth!" Suddenly distracted, Emeroth went to the older blood and promptly laid down between his front paws, her favorite spot. She was less worried now that Iotenth seemed to be alright. "Vixenith blocked Iotenth's pain receptors and said that I could do that one day too." Emeroth reported to Gleanixth excitedly. She couldn't wait to be useful like her rider and the other dragons.
Seeing the fish being dropped in front of Iotenth made Emeroth realize that she herself was growing hungry. Gently, so as not to interrupt her rider in case Sesania was in the middle of something important, Emeroth told her rider that perhaps some food would be appreciated.
"Thank you Heedana." Sesania said gratefully. She'd restored the hide as best she could when she had found it, and even copied down what could be read. But after she'd delivered both to Robinton, she'd lost tract of them and hadn't thought about either the original hide or the copy she'd made since.
Sesania took the now empty cup from V'nov, just as he began falling asleep. She sighed softly, glad that his injuries weren't as bad as they had first appeared. "How long do you think he'll take to heal Ezran?" Sesania asked softly, so as not to disturb V'nov.
Sesania paused and then laughed as she received Emeroth's inquiry to food. She shook her head. "Is there anything else you need help with Ezran? Emeroth has just asked if it would be alright if she went to get something to eat.". She smiled at E'ran lovingly.
Terin felt like grinding his teeth. Why oh why had he brought Lerin with him? That woman was going to ruin everything! "I don't like her in that way Lerin," Terin hissed back, keeping his voice as low as he could. It was strictly business. He'd forsaken any feelings towards women when his dragon had died. To him, women had only a few uses, and none of them in a romantic and loving way. "I speak only the truth Lerin, you know that better then anyone." Of course that was only a half truth. He did speak the truth, when it was important, and when he spoke to Lerin. He knew that she would smell a lie from a mile off and he'd given up trying to lie to her. She would have found out eventually.
Terin went to the armor and once Lerin was done examining it, he picked up each piece individually and slowly examined them with a crafter's eye. He, although being a stone crafter, could tell fine craftsmanship when he saw it. The armor was almost flawless. Aoi was right, there were some flaws, but those could be attributed to her being unused to the rare metal.
Once done examining her work, Terin set the armor down and leaned against the edge of the table, his arms folded across his chest. "Your work goes beyond what I have been told Aoi. This," he waved to the armor. "Proves that I made the right choice in contacting you." Terin looked at Lerin with a half warning, half questioning look. He wanted her opinion as well, although he regretted it. If she said the one wrong thing, then his plans for Aoi could be ruined.
(( oh god this was terrible. I'm tempted to delete it and redo it, but I can't think of anything else! ))
Aoi nodded in response to praise she received from Terin, but didn't do anything beyond that. "While I may not feel it's my place, I do feel there is more to your coming here today than just seeing what I've done Terin, please tell me if such is the case now. I do not have the time nor the patience to indulge in more intrigue than you already have me involved in, you might find my traps in the on position next time otherwise," Aoi said calmly to him. She was paying very little attention to Lerin and did not care, the woman was not part of her business and she would not care until she was.
Straight down to business, that's what Terin liked and would have to be careful of. Aoi was not someone he would be able to manipulate easily. "The annual meeting between the Master crafters and the traders will be taking place soon. I'll be going to discuss the value of the mark as well as to meet with several of my contacts." Terin said, explaining his real purpose for coming. "I wanted to know if there was any particular metals or supplies that you would be wanting that normally Benden would not get." He didn't outright say 'what the dragonriders could get you,' but he meant it.
He was going to try and put a little more value on certain gems this turn, gems that were mined in his families hold. He'd purposefully made sure they weren't mined much the last few turns, so that the demand for them would become higher. Now that he had a resource that would have a high value in trading, one that he could control without a middle party, he would be able to procure more of what he wanted and needed.
In the food hall, obviously sat dozens of people, feasting on meats and drinks. But, in a corner of the hall, was a darkened table. At this table sat a young man who appears to be a young adult, around 20 years of age. He sat alone, cause noone had interest in chatting or being near him for some odd reason. His name, was R'ran, once called Roran before being bonded with his dragon. His dragon mount, Dracoth, sat behind him, silently growling, he didnt like that his rider was ignored like this. Through their mental bond, Dracoth spoke to R'ran. "It's been hours R'ran, and the only people that come by are those servant maidens." R'ran sighed. "I know, but there's nothing we can do about it. C'mon, eat up." He tossed Dracoth a large chunk of meat before grabbing a chicken drumstick for himself, taking in a sip of the drink he was given.
