are the new eggs still dropping? I just came back from holiday

Fairly commonly, but mixed in with others now. I was able to get one of each within a single drop just now.

cool, what's their descriptions so I can ifferentiate them from the rest?

Four new eggs means I won't be able to get one male and one femaale of each upon first collection, d'aww!

Leodon (Volcano): "This red and gold egg sits before the others, almost daring you to grab it."

Lacula (Coast): "This green and silver egg lurks in the shadows, tempting you to steal it."

Melismor (Forest): "This heavy egg has an earthy scent, like freshly-tilled soil."

Razorcrest (Alpine): "This blue and bronze egg piques your curiosity."

Not quite the same, but pretty similar?

Okay, but notice how its back paws are BARELY off the ground? The Melismor male's lower half is literally floating in a way where the spine would have no way to support it unless EVERY vertebrae in its body was capable of holding up its entire body weight.

Its midsection/lower back is holding up its entire tail, legs, and hips. The front of the dragon is not engaged in a pouncing pose - it is stationary. It moreso looks like a horse bucking, but horses need to move their heads down in order to get a good buck that would lift its back legs that high - the male's head is leaning back, not down.

The momentum is all going towards its ribcage; there is no body there to support it. The back half looks like it's leaping straight down, whereas the front looks as if it's standing or moving forward.

It almost looks as if some wizard is lifting its hind end separately with magic... just picking it up and flopping it around while the dragon was just trying to stand there enjoying its day.

Actually, I think that image makes it look really funny and more realistic 😁

The adults are all so stunning!  Much more handsome than I thought they'd be from the infant sprites.

Thanks again for the release, happy anniversary :)

Agreed. Like.. I didn't find the stage one hatchies to at ALL indicate how lovely these pretties would be. O.o I was AMAZED!

A big thank you to all the spriters involved!

The Lacula is all I've ever wanted in a dragon. Thank you very much, Shajana!

I thought more of a jumping down from something when I saw the pose. But yeah, the front looks a bit static for that too, now that I look closer. 😅

I admit.... the idea of some wizard attempting to play a joke on the dragon by levitating its hind end.... rather funny.

Just seeing the adults for the first time, gorgeous! Love the color concepts, blue-beige of the Razorcrest is so beautiful! The Leodons are my favs I think, they look very royal ❤️

I actually appreciate the art update. I kinda wish other dragons would get one as well. I don't see what the big deal is. (But then again, a lot of my favorite dragons are newer, so I guess I'm just biased? I thought everyone did a good job with the update...)

I know that everyone keeps saying these guys are a reference to Harry Potter, but...have any of the spriters actually confirmed this? Or is it just speculation?

I'm not a Harry Potter fan myself, so it doesn't make much of a difference to me. Just curious.

I always saw the male Melismor like a landing squirrel

But with more vertebrae.

I don't know anything about anatomy or art, but I'm loving the squirrel and ferret pictures.

Got to admit that, while I really very much appreciate the attempt to give seasonals an updated appearance, I'm not even slightly a fan of the seasonal sprite change, with the exception of the summer seasonals (though that's easy for me to say - I didn't like those very much previously). A few gripes I have, if anyone is curious (and please do keep in mind they're probably just my own subjective oddities of perception) -- the winter seasonals suddenly have a violet-tinged crest with a fatter central 'crystal', and the tailfluff is now spikey instead of rounded and feathery. The female autumn seasonal has the appearance of having a really thick neck. The springs' heads were raised significantly, leaving the female sprite with a feel of a completely different pose. The changes aren't terrible, but the winter seasonal crest tweak does break my heart a little bit. ;_;

I really like what happened to the red sprite, though - it captures the scaly heraldicness of the old sprite surprisingly well for something that has a completely different style! o_O Way to go, birdz! ❤️

Loving the new features, too. For some reason I wasn't expecting those to ever be added, but here they are! Thank you so much. :)

And the Melismors are floofy perfection. ❤️

I love the Melismors so much, I made a little comic about a farm boy named Eddie and his carrot dilemma.

According to @Malcorium, Melismors' magic is capable of invigorating the plantlife in the soil around their burrows for bigger, tastier foods.

Under the spoiler because the images are rather large and may stretch the page.
