Volt smiled as he felt her snuggle slightly under him. He closed his eyes falling asleep.

 

Julia smiled at ash "our throne, im taking over a little bit here. She blushed softly as she got the crown putting it on her head as she relaxed in the throne. She let her fingers softly run across the crystals of the arm rest watching them as they lit up under her touch "i can see why you like it here."

Zaphus changed his appearance to have pure white swan wings and flew up to a ledge that two huge crystals made. They glowed a huge of violet and pink as he lay down on it. "I do believe that I found this place first, but, consider yourself lucky... not many demons take mates.... as far as I know I'm the first. My kind don't like many times to each other" "Indeed...we don't" a sultry female voice came through the dream. Zaphus was awake right away and stood on all fours above Julia, tail poised like a scorpion teeth bared in a hiss. "Ruthas" He growls lowly at the female demon who, judging by the large bust barely covered by a single leather strap and length of cloth that clearly had no backside around her waist, she was a succubus from hell.

 

 

She smiled and touched her lips with a red claw, red from paint or blood it was hard to tell. She narrowed her glowing violet eyes at Julia. "Aw, am I interrupting something? You talk in your sleep Zaphie boy, I find it cute..." She made no effort to hide the fact she was studying his body with a purr.

Julia smiled at her and tilted her head "i would have found it eventually anyways and i am lucky but i would have got you eventually." When the sultry female voice came she looked around only to see that ash had left her, she was alone and the nightmares starting to creep up on her. She woke with a startled scream as she saw dead bodies fill the cavern, her head quickly lifting only to smack right into zaphus's side which caused her head to flop back down on the bed. She wrapped her arms around him softl "why did y-you leave me babe?"

"Babe? Cute... She's a tiny thing isn't she? I could be more fun though.." Zaphus hissed and snorted. "Get off of my land..." "Ahh but honey, i have a blood oath to you, well, i used to...anyway. I did my years of service and now am free to do what i want... like you said, we dont like ties to others..." she flicked her tail in the darkened cave.

Julia mumbled a small "he's mine" before slipping out from under him resting her head on his side. "he said usually but we already have started forming one, why don't you go bother the other demon in the forest somewhere and leave mine alone." She spoke slowly watching her as she wrapped an arm around zaphus.

Ruthas laughed. "I will after darling. You see, he ruined my fight, yes I would've been killed but he took my kill for that slime ball eventually died from his injuries. You don't take another demon's kill honey, not if you want to die yourself. So... I have unfinished business with your little lover boy. You get in my way- well...I'm sure he's spoken about the rest of his kind, I have no qualms with making you collateral damage. " "Don't you dare touch her!...." He snarled white eyes darkening at her threat, the shadows crawled up him shaping his body into a creature resembling a dragon pure black with tendrils like shadow fire curling up from it. Even his eyes were totally black, he stood on his hind legs, having grown to ten feet, two rows of jagged yellow teeth, the longer fangs tinted green with a shadow demon's potent venom where revealed as he spoke in a rasping hiss, a grey tongue flicked out. "I assssk you oncsse morrrrre, get off my lannnd!" his voice so deep it rumbled the dust off the jagged rocks his head was level with, snorting a green cloud from his nostrils making the moss on the rocks quickly decay and fall off to the floor.

"You're So confident with her that you show your truest form? How sweet, something born so evil can be caring and trusting. You're weak, even like that I can kill you. Intimidation won't work on me pretty boy."

julia was about to speak when zaphus changed into a huge dragon, though it was one of the most intimidating beasts she had seen. She grew afraid, unsure if zaphus would recognize her or if he was still himself. She used her powers to turn invisible and as extra measure she gained the agility of a cat. She didn't know what to do she was frozen in place shaking slightly though she knew she may have to dodge she couldn't leave just in case zaphus was still himself.

The two demons snarled at each other until a wash of fire and Ruthas leaped at him with a flaming whip and a firey sword. Her screeching was cut short when he slammed his tail into her and she slammed into some rock formations in the cave the ceiling ones he whacked so they fell on her. With extreme tenderness, he scooped up the invisible woman still between his feet now the size of her body, in his front claws as he ran to the entrance and took off.

 

 

He flew to Drez's place and dropped her on the porch a long claw, nearly half her body length, ran up her hidden body, finding her head and a long grey tongue licked her cheek tenderly before a scream drew him away. With a roar that shook the snow off the trees, and his wings (now fitting his body) shaking the boughs with massive gusts as he flew to the tiny demon wreathed in fire flew towards him.

Julia was whining softly before she was scooped up and taken on a ride. When she was sat by drez's house she went to the door shaking still. She let him lick her cheek before climbing quickly up a tree in the yard, sitting on the branch that she thought could hold her as she watched still invisible.

Zaphus would clash with her and holding her in his claws or tail, he'd fly so high Ruthas' flames would flicker and grow dim from lack of air. He used this to his advantage, never letting her go vary low.

 

He moved fast, attacking her with quick strikes and massive roars that took on a painful tone when she was able to get enough air to crack her whip or strike a few times. When the female dove lower to get out of the thin air, the dragon, although larger, was built for speed and shot past her blazing green fire that was ignited venomous gas.

 

 

Five minutes into the fight drez came out and wrapped a thick fur coat around the elf, it was so long on her it dragged a few feet behind her. He handed her a pair of binoculars and lifted a telescope to his own eye to watch the distant fight without a word to her.

JUlia was watching, worried as she heard some pain in his roars. She jumped when drez appeared next to her almost falling off of the cliff. She wobbled and mumbled before remembering she was invisible. "how did you know i was here i was invisible the whole time." as she spoke she became visible again, holding the binoculars unsure whether she wanted to use them or not.

"There's different types of demons but only certain element ones have specific abilities besides the usual powers. The elements in order from strength are; Shadow, fire, air, ice, water, and earth. Shadows develop an extra shape like a armor shell, when it's damaged, it doesn't always mean the human shape itself is damaged unless the wound is deep enough. In addition, they have a toxic substance that can be liquid or gas that the affects are like a recluse and a black widdow bite times two. It is said that shadow demons came from fallen angels who aligned themselves with the King of shadows, Lucifer himself in the War before the Fall." He paused to look through the telescope to check on the still on going battle. It would be a long while before any real damage is done to the other.

 

"I won't get into detail about specific abilities just the one that's unique for each kind. For fire, they can create weapons of hell fire, a potent and dangerous fire. Unlike natural fire, this can burn under water, and can only be doused with holy water. Fire demons can't get burned by natural flames, only hell fire, holy fire used by angels, and the poison flame Zaphus is using now. Air demons like me have the ability to see in a sort of heat vision. I can see air currents that are hot and cold and can manipulate them creating devastating storms. The wind moved around a pocket of heat that wasn't moving so I assumed it was you. Ice... I'm not sure about, no one goes to the cold place they live, it's colder then the arctic circle and located around the ninth ring, but I think it's like Kya, the not being able to feel cold, or creating weapons of ice so cold it freezes your skin or something.

 

Water demons are like air demon only they see currents and can manipulate them as well, but they can't do large tsunamis and hurricanes without the help of a air demon. They can breathe underwater I think. Earth demons are peaceful like Zaphus, they still fight and throw massive boulders at each other but only if another demon crosses into its land. They look like bodybuilders in colors of rocks around the world. They can lift a two ton bolder like nothing and throw it a long distance, find or make fertile land from any soil, and find precious and semi precious metals, stones, and gems anywhere." He looked at her. "Did that help?"

Julia nodded silently still watching the battle, she was still worried unsure of what a succubus could do against him. She hummed softly to herself as she watched "yes that helped me learn a little bit more i guess, though that is a succubus that is completely different right?"

"Lust demons are... unpredictable. Most are mix breeds display a range of abilities from both parents, I guess you can say they are neutral breeds. She's a fire succubus, her father a fire demon. She can create only a sword and whip of natural fire set her body on fire. She has agility of a lust demon. In a way, she is different yes, if she was a full lust demon. Being half elemental she has an advantage in using her lust powers to distract her opponent, but seeing he's marked you, you don't need to worry about him getting distracted by her."

 

 

 

The succubus seemed to be slow while Zaphus was bleeding, his wing faltered and his hind leg looked limp. He still fought, as the fight drifted closer to the place where Julia was.

julia looked over slightly confused by his words. "i don't know when he would have done that or how you would be able to tell that he marked me. Is it really that obvious?" She blushed self consciously for a minute before looking back to the fight worried about zaphus.

"A dark mark like some tribal or Celtic design is on your neck where he bit you. I can't see it but your scent changed, you smell like good soil and sweet grass, with a bit of lime and a sickly honeyed smell that's Zaphus's distinctly. As for when.... well, marking is mating and if you slept with him.... he would've bit you during it."

Julia's eyes widened as she remembered when he bit her causing her to blush. She tried to smell herself but couldn't really get the smell, to her she smelled normal, how she always smelled. She stood getting ready to go out there if she needed to, she was still worried, looking over at drez she shifted on her feet "if somehow she wins you will be able to stop her before she kills him right? and be able to heal him or know someone who can heal broken bones or something?" She hummed loudly as the rocks behind her turned to mud which she made into dirt after. With dirt there flowers began to grow so that she had a way to defend herself.

"I'm the master of the air. There isn't much in hell that isn't sulfur. If she wins I can suffocate her and put out her fire. But what makes you think I'm not helping him now? Even a demon can't fly with a hurt wing. I know a shaman healer higher in the mountains."

 

Indeed, a l though now his wing faltered he was still able to keep aloft. Each time Ruthas went under him she was caught in an updraft that took her straight to his claws, now she was bleeding, looking like lava dripping from her wounds while Zaphus has a green ooze that hissed whatever it touched.

Julia tilted her head slightly as she looked at him "then why not end it? if you are the master of the air why let it keep going? he is hurt, he may still be able to fight but he is hurt." She looked down worried and slightly afraid. She went to the plants that had started to grow and began taking care of them to calm herself.

He sighed heavily. "Because by ancient lays he must be at my command for a year and a day where the battle was fought. Ending it now like Zaphus did with her fight before, would be saving him and thus unwillingly indebting himself to me. Zaphus's only command for her was to look after his garden in hell. Hell's years are longer towards the middle rings, so the eighth ring, one year would be like twenty earth years. That's why she didn't come until now. He has to win this on his own-."

 

 

 

A scream of pain came from the Dragon, a blast of green flame shooting just above the house from forty feet away. The sword had jammed into his stomach plates. Ruthas was trying to get it out as the fire went out and her hands blistered and burned from the poisonous blood. Yanking on it again, Zaphus acted on instinct and clamped his jaws around her, splitting her in half, breaking her wings and yanking out her sword from him and burned it and her body as they fell.

Julia had mumbled that drez could have just told him to watch over her before sitting down ignoring them all for the rest of the fight not even looking as she didn't want to see him hurt. She softly hummed out a lullaby before pulling the weeds that wanted to grow in the little garden out. She had a beautiful small garden by the time that the noise of battle stopped though she was too afraid to even check who won instead just focusing on the garden to calm herself.

Huge gusts of wind and the sound of claws on stone. Drez made himself scarce getting things to heal him. You......where.... afraid-" The sound of quick painful breaths and nails scrambling on wood. "of me... please don't be. I'd... never hurt you... " a think as Zaphus flopped on the wood, one wing folded the other stretched out and gushing white pearl colored blood from a rip in the membrane, his stomach had a gash and his leg was sliced from hip to knee. A small scratch on his chest and another on his cheek. His horns where chipped but these wounds although painful and would kill a mortal, they wouldn't cause his death. "Julia..." He whimpers.

Julia smacked his nose like you would to a dog "Don't you ever frighten me like that again, look how hurt you are, you could have simply brought us here and went inside, since drez is an air demon she wouldn't have been able to get up here. What were you trying to prove?!" She went to her flowers and after a few minutes came back with a salve on her hands which she put on all the cuts, it would be able to act like neosporn as well as help the small cuts heal faster than normal.

"Demons are about violence. Letting another fight for me would say I am a mortal, I have drained my demon blood completely and have no power left. That I am weak." while she was rubbing the salve on his wounds he twisted a strand of her hair around his claw. "My kind is always intense. Anger, envy, greed.. lust... it's all heightened. But so is tranquility, joy, and love when we find it. You. Are. Mine. She threatened you, wanted to kill you to destroy my mind, she knew if you died and I killed her I would be broken for eternity. Her death would be in vain because she'd know that I'd be suffering." He closed his eyes as a drop of water went down his cheek. He frowned slightly as he touched the wetness on his cheek and looked at it curiously like he'd never she'd a tear before. "I.... I couldn't lose you...."

Julia mumbled looking away from him "you didn't need to fight at all just could have kept her away with drez and if the fighting was necessary do it somewhere where i don't have to watch and worry about losing you! you know that im afraid of losing you or you being hurt and guess what happened, you got hurt just like i feared!" She finished putting the salve on all of his cuts before sitting down pouting about having to be near him and watch him be put in pain. She moved his hand away softly each time he tried to touch her again, she was really upset she had to watch and needed time to calm down though because he was hurt she was worried and didn't want to leave his side causing her to be conflicted and get even more upset.
