Ascension - A Race Against Time

(Sorry for the ooc it I honestly can't continue with matt without headbanger unless I leave him behind which Matt would have a hard time doing. That post took me a good 20 minutes to fully read and understand, I like to write poetry and stuff but that puts me to shame.xd.png you are a really talented writer though I have only been at it for 3 years and I am still getting used to it as I get distracted from my writing a lot.)

I looked at the boy, who was kneeling on the ground before me, having finally realized who I was and what I had been burdened with. This boy, who had been full of energy and always bouncing about without a care in the world had grasped the concept that what we, as gods, had to do to maintain a certain balance within this place. For a moment, I just stood there looking at him and walking down the path he was now following. It had changed, an additional line had been added and now I had to determine what would be appropriate. Yet, I knew what it was that needed to be done.

Placing a hand under his chin, I pulled him up from his kneeling posture and looked into his eyes. Leaning forward, I placed my lips against his and held it there for a moment before pulling away and observing his reaction. If my prediction was accurate, he'd be take aback, not able to comprehend the meaning behind my actions. Before, I had shown no signs of affection for this youngling to give even the slightest hint, but it would not be entirely inaccurate to say that this wasn't a lovers kiss. It was similar, but in the sense of a mother caring for her heartbroken child. A different kind of love that I had for everyone. I was strict, because it was necessary, but it didn't mean it didn't hold a compassionate meaning behind it.

"Do not lose who you were, young one, it was the reason you were sent to live amongst man to begin with. If you hollow yourself out now, the war might be won, but your influence will be different. Stay positive and find times when it's appropriate to act irrationally. Remain vigilant and always strive to both bring comfort and find comfort in others. I do not need a drone, but a caring, compassionate, rambunctious, and energetic young godling that sometimes gets out of step here and there."

I smiled at him before turning on my heels and beginning my return to the Citadel. Yet, I paused for a moment to look up into the sky, at the clouds that rolled by and into the blue landscape that led to the vast regions of space.

"Tomorrow is a free day, I am allowing you all to go about where you please and enjoy yourselves. Make an effort to speak with Nikki, but do not reveal what occurred today. Anyway, return to your bath and relax, I shall be expecting most of you on the coastline by noon tomorrow. My Spryte's shall distribute swimwear specifically designed for each of you to utilize."

As Nikki sat in the onsen with Roxy, she sneezed. Was somebody talking about her, she wondered.

((xd.png I had to add something like that in here.))

Indeed, Ansgar was taken aback. His entire mindset, once again altered by a single touch - albeit a more intimate one than a slap. Perhaps it was because every interaction this woman made was weighed with the chains in the first place? They both weighed her down but also made her strong. Yet again, she taught Ansgar something valuable.

Though she suffered, she still went on. Whether willingly or not, she lifted the bonds upon her each day and still had the strength to speak and move as though a normal being. In return for her work, she was given great power unequalled and still did not abuse it.

For a moment, he did not speak after she finished but then he turned, half-smiling. It felt slightly strange, now. In the nighttime, after all that had happened, after the moment of self-realization which had almost destroyed his free will entirely, it was a strange and revolutionary moment. He knew he'd never be able to be himself again perfectly. He'd learned and considered far too much for that. Little did he know that the "lake" he had been bathing in was the lake from Norse legend, the one which Odin had given one of his eyes to drink from. But with the death of its guardian god, it sat stagnant and dark. However, there was still some power within it, and it reflected the thoughts of the one who used it.

"I guess I find it slightly humorous." he said calmly, turning fully to face her as she walked off. "You're most likely the closest thing I've ever truly had to a mother, in that regard, and yet everyone else fears you as something that ends lives rather than gives them meaning. But doesn't a funeral change people, and give them new respect for their own lives? Doesn't a war alter the course of humanity from where it was? Death changes things. It all depends on perspective, I guess."

He stepped away from the lake, casually walking now. It was a bit more energetic but it still felt wrong for him to act so naturally after what had just occurred. Still, if the Seer said it was right then sooner or later he'd probably end up being the way he was again.

Another way fate worked. You thought you had it beat and then it changed you again and again. Considering the Seer's link to fate, it was no wonder she could change it so dramatically.

"I've been meaning to ask you." he said finally, strolling along so that he finally stopped to stand beside her. Now that he actually had that chance, and had a mindset to notice, he saw that she was actually shorter than him by a few inches. She looked much younger than she did during combat and when she was using her presence. Or, perhaps this was just another trait of her duty. Whatever it was, it seemed strange to him, almost foreign.

He hadn't really considered it. Back on his planet, by the time you were mature enough to be taller than anyone else, you were immediately subjected to genetic manipulation. Your height was a preset, your hormones were preset, your eye color and hair color were a preset. You became one of the colony. You even lost your gender if you were higher in the nobility, becoming close to Ascension. However, the High Priest was the most altered, becoming almost immortal and superhuman.

"Well... actually, now I have two questions for you, after all of this." he said, looking up at the sky. "Like always, you never have to answer. For once, you have a choice in deciding what you'll finally do, and the Creator can't help that, I don't think."

He paused for a moment, considering how to phrase it.

"Did we ever really have parents, at all? Were they ever planned?" he asked, staring into the same sky as the Seer. Even though they were now on a different planet than the one he was from, the stars looked the same. They were never-changing.

"And do you know how long until my planet finally dies? Until the High Priest finally gets the fate he - no offense - deserves after his mistreatment of the people there?" he asked softly, this question being more for himself. "He was a serious censorkip.gif*** to most of the people and so that mistreatment just trickled down to all of the 'plebians' of the world. I'd like to know that he didn't end up becoming a god."

Suddenly, an idea struck him.

"You know what, maybe that's how my religion will begin." he said, smirking. "It may be unorthodox, but I think kicking his pretentious, holy ass would earn me a lot of followers. Sure, I'd get some enemies and be viewed as a pagan god by the devout but ... to be honest, censorkip.gif 'em."

He laughed for a moment, smiling again.

"I think when it comes right down to it, being a god doesn't mean being perfect, it means doing what is necessary. At the same time, that doesn't mean I can't hold vendettas if it doesn't get in the way of the job, right?" he turned to her, grinning. "After all, I'm pretty sure the old gods had their fair share of fun with mortals, even the good ones. I won't claim to be a perfect god, when I am one, but I'll certainly make sure that those of ill-repute get some karmic justice from my shoe."

At that, he kicked a stone across the ground, sending it flying across the earth into the shadows. It made a soft sound, far in the distance, a single note in the night.

"Of course, I won't kill anyone. That's my biggest creed." he swore, turning to look back at the stars. "I don't know about other gods but I like to think we're gods because we can avoid killing people to make a change. For once, you won't have to see bodies in order to see things be different. Hopefully, when we get up there in the sky, you'll have a lot less work to do. You're seeing it now, aren't you? You're looking forward to it."

He patted her on the shoulder, pleased.

"Well, mother dear, I think I can oblige that. I'm pretty sure it's about time you stopped having to work so much. Even with longer lifespans, having no hope in a god makes people crazy. They kill each other in spite because they don't think there's any retribution after death. Now, we can fix that."

He smiled again.

"One day, after all this is over, and I've got a good group of followers, I'll come back here when I can and visit you." he promised. "I think it's time you started having people over more often, and for leisure rather than combat, right? You may not admit it but it's always nice to have someone to talk to, right? At least for me. Nobody should HAVE to be alone, not even Death."

[You're not stuck until you're literally around nobody someone else controls. Like Tyler! BY the way; I imagine these little gremlins I've invented will look quite like an Asura from the Guild Wars series. Grey skin and tiny bodys. Sort of like the Asgard from Stargate! Except not quite so tall.]

Tyler walked into the ship. It was a kind of blinding white inside, odd considering what color the exterior hull was. His eyes adjusted to the brightness, and he walked for what seemed like ages with the aliens weapons pointed at his back. A precaution, he mused, for who knows what this creature could do? Tyler didn't know himself. Recently, he'd been changing. Growing, I guess. Except he wasn't quite growing; rather, maturing, like a fine brew that'd finally been finished. He'd never felt quite this alive. He took a deep breath and stopped to examine his surroundings. His entourage stopped as well, not knowing what he was thinking. The hallway they were in, it was like a junction. You know, a crossway. There were four different paths. The left path went straight, and there were other hallways that led to places unknown. The right path bent off rather quickly, but there seemed to be a marked door. Tyler knew not what the plaque read, but another alien came out of it armed with a mop and bucket. He knew enough to guess what it was; a janitorial closet. And for the path in front of them, he'd know soon enough.

He walked inside the room, and an aged alien looked up from the pad he'd been reading from. He raised an eyebrow, spoke in the same strange tongue that the two who'd been sent for him spoke. Not surprising, considering they were a completely different species.

"Tak freezi? Reepo qwon jar tee tee?"

Tyler was at a loss as to what the alien was saying. Then, he pressed a button around the collar of his jacket, at the neck. He repeated, "Hello. Welcome to the Coriander. We've noticed that you're not quite like the inhabitants of this planet." The commander continued, "And to that end, basically, you're free to go. We have no quarrel with you; not at all! For it was the inhabitants of this planet that lead the brutal attack on our own planet so many years ago. We've grown up since then, you see."

Tyler nodded, then spoke, "You'd let me go, just like that? Unbelievable."

The old captain nodded, "You don't belong here. It's not your place. We're giving you a ship to leave. Don't expect to return it to us. We've no use for it anyways. Except for scrap, but it's not good for that either."

Tyler sighed, another bucket of bolts. "What's happened to my ship? Where's it gone?"

"Most likely destroyed, like most of the others on this planet. Can't let them go, you see. Anyways, First Mate. Escort him to his ship, please."

The alien on Tyler's right saluted, and lightly tapped him on the shoulder. Then he turned around and walked to the middle of the junction, waving for Tyler to follow.

Tyler did so, but he was dumbfounded. He followed the alien closely, believing this all to be a dream. He pinched himself to make sure, but assuredly, he was in reality.

The alien suddenly stopped, raising its right hand whilst turning around. "Here it is. Have safe travels."

Then, he walked off and left Tyler alone.

He sighed. There was a small rectangular button, on the wall. It seemed like it hadn't been used in a while. Tyler shrugged, pushing the button. You can probably guess what happened next; the door slid open with a whoosh! Inside, there was another of the alien saucers, except not so small. He guessed it was a frigate-class, instead of just a corvette-class. He walked toward his new acquisition, inspecting it with a trained eye. Seemed a little worse for wear, but nothing a little elbow grease couldn't fix. The rear hatch was open, with a ladder to enter the vessel. Tyler climbed into it; eager to leave the planet once and for all.

Ace had heard the sneeze and let out a small "bless you." He didn't know who sneezed and honestly being self concious was getting him nowhere if this was the only big bath he didn't mind the girls he was going to relax. He slid down leaving just his face above water as the warm water soothed him. He was relaxing not caring that he was with two other people nor that they were female I mean after all it really shouldn't bother them too much, so many guys on this planet I'm sure that this had happened before. ace continued to relax as he was washed by the water.

Matt had gotten in the mood to mess around with someone so he stood and got into a fighting stance his new abilities not only allowing him to see in the dark but that apple had helped him regain all of his energy "hey headbanger, mind if we spar a little bit that apple got me energetic again and I don't think a run would help me much."

Vikare shouldered his mace and stood to his full height, grinning. He turned to the young boy, baring the weapon proudly.

"If you are certain, then yes." he said, pleased.

Matt summoned shadows much stronger than before yet only 5 of them they were almost as strong as a young dragon. He sent the forward though he knew that would only distract the giant beast. He had to think on his toes, this beast sparred against gods before him even the last god of shadows. He had to think on his feet and try and figure out a way to best this mythical beast. He realized that there was a shadow on the weapon caused by the beasts sheathe for it and when it readied that weapon his hand would cause a shadow as well.If i can disarm him of that menacing weapon this would be easier.

He didn't even move. He allowed the five shadows to charge into him, spreading out into nothingness. He then wiped off his armor.

"Your shadows are unstable, young one. You make them in haste." Vikare said sternly. "Do not just use them as decoys. Structure them. Give them life. Make them whole."

He sighed and decided to try and make one shadow live. He Used the minotaurs shadow making it solid and animated. He used a lot of his power but it came to life pulling out its weapon and charging at headbanger. Matt wasn't sure how much energy he took but he was tired and he slowly stood. He had to concentrate on the shadow with a lot of him but he also ran behind the minotaur trying to do a surprise attack.

Roxy narrowed her eyes and her hair shifted from pink to bright red. This new guy, whatever his name was, is acting rather brutish. She glanced at Nikki then back at the other guy. Roxy raised her hand. The water in the bath lowered and a wall off water rose between Herself and Nikki and the other side of the bath. The wall rippled and swirled, a mixture of soap and scented oils made abstract forms on the barrier. It was a simple trick, all she did was reverse gravity then suspend it when the water reached the spot she wanted. Satisfied, she relaxed again. It wasn't the fact that she was embarrassed being naked around another man, which she kinda was, it was more about how he went about doing it. Barging in, stripping down and making himself at home. He didn't even say hello. Just walked in like he owned the place while two (naked) girls talked. Like she said, it wasn't so much that he was there, it was the fact that he was so...rude about it.

Now that they had some privacy she turned back to her conversation with Nikki, "So yeah...It's not your fault I freaked out back there", she said, 'Seeing you guys holding down that minator...just made me remember." Roxy drew her knees up to her chest and her hair changed to a dull yellow. She stretched out her legs again and let her hair return back to it's normal green. She looked at Nikki, "So where are you from?", she asked. Since they were all apparently stuck here, they might as well have a basic profile on one another.

Vikare nodded in approval, grabbing the throat of the new shadow with his large hand. The shadow writhed as if it was alive, showing a sense of fear for death.

"You are learning well!" Vikare said proudly, lifting the shadow into the air. "I see now. Sparring will not be what you need to learn, young Matt. You are not one who is offensive. You are a defensive one. Instead of trying to go against what you are, embrace it. How can you use defense to hurt a man? In fact... I'll make it a bit fair for you."

He hurled the shadow behind himself so that it flew at Matt, then sheathed his mace. He clenched his fists and smiled.

"We shall do it in the fashion of the Seer, she who guides the souls." Vikare commented. "Send as many of those shadows at me as you can. I will take them all on!

Ace realized he probably did something to make them not like him. He spoke a quick "sorry girls my names ace nice to meet" before a wall of water seperated them. He decided not to push anything so he went back to relaxing.

Matt had the shadow disappear and since the whole area was blacked out the large mass fell from above with the momentum of the minatours throw to come down on him. Meanwhile matt had made over 20 copies of himself all running in different directions only trying to disorient headbanger. While all this was happening he reached through the shadows trying to have the mace disappear.

His own momentum used against him, Vikare was thrown against the ground. He lifted the shadow up, pleased and enjoying the thrill of combat. Regardless of reason, he had missed this.

He grabbed two of the shadow Matts nearby, unafraid. He then used them as weapons, one in each hand, as he spun in circles, hitting more of the other clones.

Matt smiled as he started spinning all the clones disappeared as they were hit. Only headbanger and the minotaur shadow remained Matt still nowhere to be seen, in fact he was hiding in headbangers waist pouches. He was using his defense to try and tire out this giant. the shadows started to condense around the giant he had become fond of making it harder to breath, This would make him tire out faster though Matt did not truly want to kill this magnificent creature.

[Just saw Transcendence in the movie theater; it's a damn good movie and I highly recommend you watch it]

Tyler was piloting the alien vessel. He had to admit, it took a good while to actually leave the planet; the entire control scheme was in another language! However, a technician happened by and converted it to his language. Ever since then, it'd been smooth sailing. The ship did have a weapons system installed, but it didn't seem to work correctly and even if it was repaired, the ship didn't have ammunition. Tyler did get to take a look at the navigations though, thankfully they seemed to work without major glitches. Like the life support. That incident had almost killed him.

Tyler did still feel strange. Like a small tug, or an itch in the back of his mind. Ever since he'd became an adult, it's been there. He'd never really known what it was. But now that he had nowhere to be, he could really finally unwind. He sighed. The tug was stronger now. He'd no idea why, it's never been like this before. Before, it had been like a reminder. Of what, no idea. But now, it was like... a demand. As in, it demanded Tyler to pick up the star map, and plot a course to a planet that's never been recorded. He complied, after all, if it's in your head then it probably has a really good chance of hurting you. Not that it would. After some quick calculations, he'd been sent on his way.

(( I feel that this should be said, regardless of how arrogant and narcissistic it may sound.

I have been reading since I was three. I have been writing (mainly comics) since I was five. I pride myself on knowing roughly 3/4s of the English language in its entirety. I am capable of creating stories within minutes due to the incessant ideas rushing through my head constantly due to medical reasons.

This also means my mind can never be stopped. I am constantly distracted and pulled away by other, more appealing ideas. It takes a lot for me to even write a character sheet, yet when I do, I put all of my creative energy into it in order to produce what I create. The result is what you have seen so far.

In this way, Ansgar is probably the closest character to who I really am. He is incessant, obnoxious, but optimistic and oblivious. His natural knack for leadership and a desire to assist anyone who joins him, as well as his desire for simple friendship, is shared by me as well. The only difference between him and I is that I know who my parents are.

I'm having to play an orphaned me. It's quite strange, actually, considering the relationship I have with my parents. I adore them. Idolize them.

Furthermore, to keep you from being discouraged, Voltage, I want you to know that English is where all of my talents lie. English and Art. Several times I have been told by my English professors that it should be my major, that I have a gift for prose. Yet, strangely, I want to become something entirely different - a bio-medical engineer.

I just wanted you to know a bit about me so that you don't think that this is new to me. This is my life. This is my output for the creative energy that runs through me every day.

It's like electricity, I guess you could say. ))

"Don't call me mother, it's unpleasant. As for your birth, none of you were born in the methods of mortals. You were created, a mere speck upon the altar in the Sanctuary. As you grew, the Creationist scattered each of you out into the multiverse. Those who you, or any of the others, called family were preordained by the Creationist so each of you may establish a unique understanding of man. If you wish to know why, it's quite simply really. Those who best understand their enemy are best able to lead them or destroy them. By aging with man, you established a unique connection with them that neither I nor my siblings had with them."

I looked at the young boy now, my eyes burning a dim gold as I began to recall their attack on the Throne of Gods. How man turned on us despite our generosity throughout the ages and how we severely underestimated their capabilities, their way with technology. How even the Creationist had been intrigued by their evolutionary transcendence.

"It's a real shame when you think about it. How can we call ourselves gods when even man can make us fall? Yet, I didn't leave without retribution. You say you won't kill anyone because it is against your creed, but know that before I left the Throne of Gods, I eradicated all life that remained there. Thousands upon thousands of men turned to dust within an instant. It's the only reason you are still alive to hear this from me."

Pausing for a moment, I let that bit of information sink into the young godling's head. No matter how noble a deed it might seem, a god must reign death when it is necessary. I had done it in order to assure that the next generation was able to age enough to begin their training. Yet, there was another part of me that had done it merely out of vengeance. If the Creationist hadn't interfered at that time, the human race would have been eradicated and there wouldn't have been a need to train these younglings.

"As for your homeworld and its leader, he has, in a lack of better terms, ascended to my realm. Well, actually, he was killed along with many others by a rogue militia group, one you should be lucky you didn't encounter. A Hunter was amongst them."

I stopped there, that might have been too much information. These children didn't need to know about them at this moment. Looking at the boy, I merely shrugged before I collapsed time around myself and entered my own realm once again. It was time to start tracking these Hunters, they were beginning to move rather quickly.

------

"I came from Illium, a heavily mechanized world that leads the construction of many Battle Cruisers that the Union uses. I'm sure you've seen a few from where you're from as well, the giant ships that loom around planets in hopes that some foreign galaxy attempts to raid it or attack. Quite magnificent really, their metal is so refined that it can take five hits from a Matter Cannon before a breach occurs."

Nikki was trying to ignore the fact that someone else had just randomly walked in on them while they were bathing and despite the fact still remained in the room. So, Nikki raised a metal wall that split the room all the way to the door as to further prevent the odds of this other person from peeking on them. Of course, that hadn't restrained her from revealing her fascination of the ship she had been speaking of. Why even her eyes seemed to glow with excitement.

"Of course, despite having all these resources I could use to practice my ability I was actually heavily sheltered. Those who knew I had these abilities kept quiet and told me I shouldn't use them. You see, if you had powers on my planet you were labeled as one of the 'gifted' and immediately apprehended. Most of the time, you never saw that person again. It didn't used to be like that, but a terrible incident at the sewing factory skewered the minds of the people and they acted based on what they believed was necessary to prevent such an incident from occurring again. So, I fine tuned on what I could do until I was able to separate the material into individual molecules."

To demonstrate, she removed a small section of her gold bracelet and began dissecting it until it was no longer physically visible. Then, she reformed it and replaced the piece to its original section.

"So, um, I guess my life sounds more like a fairy tale compared to your, huh? If you don't want to talk about it, then you don't have to, but know that I am here for you no matter what."

That was it.

Finally, Tyler had arrived.

The planet seemed strange, as though it was completely foreign to him, but also quite familiar.

It didn't make an ounce of sense, but nothing ever really had.

In any case, it would be the only planet he'd be on for quite some time, since the ship was out of fuel now.

Perhaps forever.

The planet was literally out of the way of actually anything, Tyler couldn't even make the trip to even the nearest fueling station; with a planet this remote, it would be surprising that he would even find anything here.

Nothing to help it now. His chance to escape has long since passed.

Tyler began the landing procedure.

* * *

Tyler had just gotten off the ship, when he actually noticed how the planet made him feel.

Not only was seeing a sun very heartening, but it also invigorated him.

Whatever that meant.

The ship was useless to him now; funny quite how that worked out. It couldn't even start if Tyler had WANTED to leave.

Which he didn't, for some reason. It was a queer feeling, not wanting to leave an alien place you'd just landed on.

He examined the surroundings. There was a large building in the distance; which was weird, considering it should have been visible from orbit.

He sighed, and reentered the ship. If only he'd landed closer to that structure.

Taking a last look around and grabbing his pistols, he set off towards the structure.

[Zakku, feel free to ambush me at any time smile.gif]

[Thael, I had no clue. I thought you were just gifted. Not that I'm saying you're not, of course! It's just... I had no idea. You really should major in English, however, you're quickly on your way to making a life for yourself out of books. I should know, I've tried to be in many of the RP's you've made. And I still want to finish the one where you let me in on the advanced plot. And me being the only one who knew something; yet the only one unable to do anything. I was playing the fish-people who lost access to their communication stones. Marcus, if you remember. I dunno. Still wanna play that to its conclusion.

EDIT: I found it! Revive it. Now!]

[And as for you, Kingcobra. Feel free to join in at any time; be aware that you'll need to find a good way to get to the planet, however. For example, you don't get to say "I think about the planet really hard and find myself bowing before the Seer." You need to find a spaceship, but from there, the Seer has put a drive in all the Godlings to get to this planet. But if you really need some help, then the planet is literally in the middle of the galaxy. So I guess you could just say you let the ship drift and then found yourself there. Even though that's lazy.]

Ready!

As I sat in my realm, traversing through the multitude of times to see what I should do to bring out a positive end, I sensed the arrival of another godling. Imagination was his foothold and he would grow to be a fearsome ally. Yet, he was still underdeveloped and had no understanding of what he truly was. Furthermore, I had concluded today's training events, but it'd be rude of me not to greet our newest arrival. Taking a glimpse into the boy's future, I determined my method of introduction and left my realm.

With my hood pulled up and my face hidden, I stood before the youngling in silence, allowing him to register I was present. Once that had concluded, the last thing he saw in his time, was my body taking a stance before I charged him.

My first attack was a clothesline, knocking him off his feet and having him hang in the air. In the span it would take him to fall, I barraged him with a knee to the back followed by sweeping drop kick that would impale him into the ground.

Finally, I returned to his time, idling over him as he registered that he was no longer on his feet and that he had been struck a multitude of times.

"Welcome, young one. From this day forth, you will continue to experience my wrath until you become a notable fighter. As you are already aware, there is a Citadel not far from here where you may rest and store your equipment. Usually, while the Great Star hangs in the air, you shall be barraged and beaten on a consistent basis. When it sets below the horizon, your training will cease for the day and you will have eighteen hours to explore and do as you please.

Also, you are not alone here. Your siblings, who arrived before you, are all currently on a reprieve from today's training and tomorrow they are free to determine what they will do. Whether it be training or simply bathing in the sun, it doesn't matter, but when the following day arrives I will begin to harass them once again. A forewarning, I will not be lenient with you just because you are just arriving, so don't expect the same treatment they received when they first arrived.

I bid thee farewell until the day after morrow. I suggest you begin preparing for what is to come."

((See, see, this is why you can't revive other roleplays... now Thael is barely going to post in this and it will soon die. XP ))

(( Sir I call bull**** this is way too cool to let die. I mean now I can interact with Astro. ))

Ansgar felt it.

His eyes went serious.

It was that feeling of new blood. That feeling of a presence unknown. That feeling of a person he had yet to meet.

He accelerated his movement, dashing across the planet's surface, knocking things out of his way until he was standing in front of the boy, moments after the Seer finished speaking to him.

"WELCOME, NEWCOMER. I AM ANSGAR WILLHELM, the up and coming GOD of the SKY... should we survive to see that day of course. YOU ARE NOW MY PROTEGE."

He grabbed the boy's shoulders gruffly, appraising him.

"Yes you are conscripted against your will. No, you have no say in it. No, this is non negotiable. I'm tired of losing friends because they start walking away. I don't blame them, of course. I'm only kidding, of course. I have friends. BUT YOU SIR. YOU SHALL BECOME MY BEST FRIEND. I can tell. This is a certainty. I can tell these things you see."

He hugged the boy close, unafraid.

"Accept it. Accept the embrace of friendship." he said sternly. "DO NOT BREAK FREE YOU WILL WAIT."

For a long moment, he hugged the boy in an awkward manner. Then he released him and turned, pointing to the Citadel.

"COME,.... er... does your name start with a T? It looks like it does." he said, pondering. "YOU CAN TELL ME ON THE WAY."

He grabbed the boy's hand and took off, leaving the Seer behind as he dashed towards the Citadel as fast as he could. The poor boy would probably be flying behind him.

If the boy didn't release before then, the two of them would be inside of Ansgar's room, where Ansgar then noticed something strange.

"Someone's been sleeping in MY BED." he said, turning. "We must find this Goldilocks."

[You didn't even give me a chance to fight back? So rude!]

Tyler's first experience was pain. Then it was confusion. He'd been swept off his feet, then his body registered a soul-hollowing ache, like you'd been pierced with a giant dull needle.

It hurt. With no counterplay, too. There was nothing he could have done. Before he'd even REGISTERED that there was something there, he was on the ground.

Frankly, it scared him. Then the being began to talk. That scared him too. Basically, she'd said this would happen on a regular basis.

Right when he thought things would finally get back to normal.

Damn.

* * *

And then they just got a whole lot weirder. This planet had picked him up, and beat him up for lunch money. All within ten minutes. And then he was literally grabbed into another child's arms, one who smelled of sweat and ... what was that? Electricity?

And what's this about a God of the Sky?

The only answer Tyler could spit out at that moment was a cut-off "Ok--" and then he'd practically felt his arm ripped off whilst moving at speeds that should be impossible.

And then it stopped, all at once. He found himself inside a room, looked pretty old. Like, there were bricks in the wall. Bricks! Those haven't been used for a long time!

Tyler was still terrified. Then, Ansgar shifted his attention back to Tyler.

"Oh, no. No. No! Not again. You're not ****ing kidnapping me like you did last time. I just want to go back to my ship, curl up, leave this planet behind! It's too ****ing weird!"

With that, Tyler forced his back to the wall; which sent another spike of pain throughout his body due to the beating.

And then created a haven that split the walls around him.

((Of course not, you wished for the same greeting everyone else received. So, I gave it to you. Then, I'll give it to you again... and again... and again. xd.png))
