Ahhhh I'm sorry Puredark, I didn't mean to spoil you... This Gourgeist and the Carbink will be the only Gen 6 Pokemon for now until after Christmas then, does that sound fair to everyone?

One more day, guys! ^^; I've got half the post done, I just need to write up the parts for Reed and the attacking Pokemon. I can give you the current HP of the attacking Pokemon right now (as of next post), though:

 

Giratina: Full Health

Gastly 1: ½ Health

Gastly 2: ½ Health

Gastly 3: Full Health

Gastly 4: Full Health

Gastly 5: 1/4 Health Remaining

Houndoom 1: Slightly Damaged

Houndoom 2: 3/4 Health Remaining

Gourgeist 1: Full Health

Gourgeist 2: 1/3 Health Remaining

Gourgeist 3: Slightly Damaged

Spiritomb 1: Slightly Damaged

 

EDIT: I forgot to apply the damage to the Gastlies for Curse at first! ^^;

I'd assume 1/3 health since being thrown at a a Spiritomb probably doesn't hurt that much.

@ Reedan: I'd say that Red has 3 more of your posts till fainting, (curse does 1/4 max hp per turn) if she's not hit any more, but with her nose, I'm sure that Red can find heal seeds and Oran berries to recover before then.

Yeah, so she's a little blown if this doesn't get wrapped up quickly and I don't think Embargo will wear off before the Curse does, so unless someone has a move or ability that can dispel status conditions...

 

Also, can I say that she doesn't come up from Dig before Surf hits, or should I just hope for the best?

EDIT: On an unrelated note, I've decided how i'm going to handle fury swipes from now on. I'll roll a die

 

the number I roll will be the number of hits. Rolling a 2-5 will be normal hits. Rolling a 6 will be 5 hits with a crit. If I roll a 1, I'll roll again, and the number I roll will be the number of hits, plus a crit. sound fair?

 

EDIT: Just test rolled, I got a 1, followed by a 6, which would be 5 hits and 2 crits. Ouch. This luck is why I can never go to Vegas.

^^ Considering the difficulty of the battle and for the purposes of the RP, (with you guys' permission) I'd like to nerf Curse - in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, Curse wears off after a couple steps, so I'll limit the number of times it affects a Pokemon to three times.

 

Embargo will be slightly nerfed to affecting a Pokemon for three posts.

 

The Gourgeist Red attacked is at 1/3 health. ^w^ I think from now on I'll do a full battle log in the mechanics brackets to make it easier~

 

I'm still working out exactly how much damage everything should do (since this is the inaugural boss battle, after all), but I promise this battle is not at all impossible! The Pokemon you guys are facing are weaker than your characters, though at a decent level.

 

Don't forget that attacks can miss, too! Considering that this isn't the games, I know there are multiple ways to dodge an attack, so. ^w^ (Although, of course, don't abuse it - though you guys know that.)

 

The Gastlies are short-lived beasts, haha~

 

aaaaah Haldor and Zagan and Ruphus' group, you have my full permission to do a time skip whenever you'd like, all the way up to the foot of the mountains near the Eaves of Hiraeth. ^w^ When you get to that point, I have a nice little bit of fun for you guys too~

As for me, I suppose that a time skip wouldn't hurt. I'd say that we reach a certain point of RP-ing, then do a time skip to the point of continuing the search.

My luck is always bizarre. I can run into rare Pokemon like they are just as common as any normal mon, while the ordinary Pokemon that I want to find is nowhere to be seen. And I have only ever found 2 shiny Pokemon. One was a Gyrados, (guess where) and the other was a glitched Nidoran in Yellow. *sigh*

I've even managed to somehow run into mew in the safari zone. Exactly how or why, I'll never know.

Geez, Sailing, and I thought my luck was crazy... I've managed to find and catch 10 shinies since I started playing in 2007 (not counting the red Gyarados or any cheated shinies), and I've spontaneously caught Pokerus 3 times. But when everyone else is finding shinies, like with the Pokeradar, or randomly in X and Y, I completely fail. I've never found a shiny with the pokeradar, and I haven't found one in X and Y either even though like half my friends had shinies in the first week of its release.
