Posted January 3, 2015 I have acquired a mate for my one Sweetling from alt Sweetling/silver Thank you lilysally!!! If it genders correctly, and if it doesn't refuse my Sweetling, I would possibly like to swap a 3rd gen Silver, if I can breed one, so that I can cut a year off how long it will take me to get to 4th gen. Actually, since I don't have a second sweetling, it'll cut off more than a year, because right now it's not possible to get to 4th. Also, I wonder if anyone can come up with ideas for mates for him and him? Not necessarily from alt Sweetlings. I feel like I ought to be able to come up with something neat but I can't think what! Posted January 4, 2015 Been awhile since I posted, mainly because I don't really have anything to report, alas. Up to 26 nebulas now, out of 64 needed, so almost halfway. Finally finished cataloging and naming all the new nebs so did some breeding--50% success rate, but 2 new refusals to work around. Grr. And of course the real measure of success will be if they color correctly. I also still need to figure out what to do with the bred nebs that color wrong. I don't want to just drop them and risk someone taking a name I need, but I don't really want to keep them either. Shrug. For right now I am keeping them, maybe I'll just do a mass release at the end of the project. Also got my first refusal out of my Twilight / Blue line, double grr. At least I can try just switching the pairings next week. If they still refuse then I need to rebreed. And then I've got that one project that's fairly close to being finished that I literally just keep forgetting it exists. =/ Then I remember and go to breed and get a no interest or a wrong breed and forget about it again for another few weeks or a month or two, repeat into infinity... Posted January 5, 2015 The raffle and the relaxing of breed limits for holidays sure made a big difference for Holly breeding I feel like I see a lot more people doing metallic checkers so I'm hoping that adjustment to the cave rotating eggs helped more people get metals too. Posted January 5, 2015 Hey EG people, I finally organized my valentine dragons and found this guy, who I had totally forgotten about. Does anyone have any suggestions for a mate? I would LOVE to find some other 3g with alt SW in the base, but I don't know how likely that is. Or maybe something light in the middle with red along the bottom? Open to any and all suggestions! I also realized I still need the following: green copper from '09 moonstone from rosebud spring from rosebud (DUH! guess that one is waiting until next year) fleshcrowne from arsani And if anyone can make a 4g '09 from black not related to her, it would sure be neat to take her to 5th gen! I can provide a lineage swap there as well, but only for the 3rd gens. Regarding EG hollies: YAY for more EGs! I feel this is also slowly happening with tinsels and even shimmers to some degree too.
