Who keeps breeding one egg to abandon? Massbreed

I sent a small battalion of Stripes out yesterday. About 30 of them. It took me about 4 hours to breed & release them all - I don't know how some people do the true mass-breedings.

I just bred "some" of my dragons and I sent I think about 50 eggs to the AP, mostly reds and gold wyverns. It took about 20 minutes to do it.

 

When I mass breed I usually open one of my longest lineage, then open the page of every dragon in that lineage I want to breed (usually 10-15 all together), select breed action for them all and then I make them all breed. If I'm not egg locked yet the first 2-3 eggs stay on my scroll and all other are auto APed.

And when I finish my breeding I manually abandon the few eggs which remained on my scroll.

I think I can feel a mass-breed of code babies coming on, when the current batch of neat codes grow up.

I wonder how many eggs it takes to make a wall, even for a little while?

If anyone likes PB royal blue eggs, keep an eye on the AP in a day or two. Just saying.

I don't think it's enough eggs for a mass breed, but I sent out my purebred 3g babies a day ago and a couple checkers.

Don't know if it's already been said. . . some years back, it might have been as far back as 2009, I took part in two organized massbreeds. Everyone who signed up bred all their golds and silvers, the only rares at the time. We sent them to the AP for others to find and pick up.

 

We meant well, but it was near-impossible to breed a metallic for months afterwards. They seemed much rarer in the cave too. By breeding like that, we'd upset the population balance. The cave thought there were too many golds and silvers, so it produced less as a result. So I'm afraid I really can't recommend a massbreed of rares. We frustrated a lot of people for a long time.

90% are 2g PBs, but there are 3g PB Stairsteps (thought I should add a variety), a couple of 2-3g metals x holidays (so there shouldn't be a common metal fail) and 3g thuweds! Added randomly in. At the near end of the massbreed there are multiple Male Whites x Female Desipises (I ran out of Females to breed with) >_>

 

 

EDIT: There are 3-7g PB EG Whites too I should mention! (I bred at least, AT LEAST 350 Whites into the AP)

A single look at my scroll right now will tell you that I am beginning to hoard Nebulae.

 

I just keep catching them! Might pair them off with pretty mates too. They seem to go well with everything, but I don't think they're common enough to make a wall.

If all goes well, there will be a ton of Daydreams in the AP in a few hours. Almost all of mine bred successfully. *cackles* All have pretty lineages btw. I have PB even gens and a whole bunch of holiday lines

I'm holding off from my attempt at a guardian wall. I kind of need more CBs and don't want to skew the ratios until I'm done.
