Posted February 3, 2013 TJ dun like Easterns? WUT?! Since before 2010 there has been a (recently proven incorrect) rumor that TJ dislikes easterns. (Many people though that he hated them to the point he refused to use them for the year of the dragon release, upsetting many users.) Silvers are an original dragon from the start of the game. No Easterns have been released since then, because TJ supposedly doesn't like them. That rumor has been proven false by TJ himself. Ashywolf contacted TJ himself at my request and asked if he disliked easterns on the IRC. (quotes from here!) On IRC Process asked TJ what he thought of easterns and he replied that there isn't enough. If the first quote is true, then we have so few easterns in cave because there are so few suggested. If you don't believe me, go to the completed list and see for yourself how few there are out of the hundreds of dragons in waiting (for extra 'fun', try subtracting the one I have worked on from the ones you find.) Does anyone remember... hrm, I think it was Val '09, when at first the Valentines were dropping only like one in every five eggs and everyone was freaking out? And then a bit later they swamped the cave like the holiday releases normally do. I doubt that they can't produce their own kind at all, for two reasons--1) there's been no prior warning about that, whereas TJ likely knew people would be setting up trades ASAP, so there's going to be a ton of upset people who've paid for an IOU and then had their payment grow up on the other person's scroll without any chance of getting paid for it and 2) while a shiny scroll 'badge' dragon would be pretty to look at it, it wouldn't be the best reward because, y'know, you can't /do/ anything with it. I am really kinda sorta hoping they're allowed to multiclutch at first, but if they just start breeding like commons I'll be content. Tinsels used to breed like bunnies and people are still offering super-valuables for 2nd gens from them, so hopefully that shows they can breed well without being devalued (at least not for quite some time) >___< Edited February 3, 2013 by angelicdragonpuppy Share this post Link to post
Posted February 3, 2013 I would say there have been a few successes, as I have seen a couple few fog balls out there. Really, anyone who imagined they would all breed first time out and breed true, well not really sure why anyone who has been on DC for awhile would think such a thing, its not even true for commons. Eventually, may take awhile, but I am sure there will be plenty to go around, keep in mind this raffle had twice as many prize releases as the first 2. Share this post Link to post

Posted February 3, 2013 Grats on the pretties, even if they are being stubborn :3 I do rather like how the bronze one came out too. But I like a paler gold vrs bright irl too.
