Posted September 2, 2017 Thank you, that helped tremendously. I thought I was going crazy (usually I'm technically literate so why didn't I think of that??? O.o)! Another question, but is there any bookmarking sites that people would recommend? I know I can easily Google to find one but I want to hear personal opinions. My browser is definitely slowing from having like a million bookmarks clogging it up. xP Share this post Link to post
Posted January 18, 2018 Does anyone here use Openoffice, and if so do you use the database side of it ? When you go to set up a database they ask you to "register" it. What does that mean - one is RELUCTANT.... Share this post Link to post
Posted January 19, 2018 @Fuzzbucket-I did some googling and found this on the Open Office Forums: Quote First: It is NOT registering your database with anyone or anything outside of your computer. It is not giving the Open Office people access to your work. What it IS doing is making an entry in the registry-like data structure which Open Office maintains. That data structure is GOOD in that different parts of Open Office (Writer, Spreadsheet, Base, etc) are more "aware" of things done by other parts of Open Office. It is BAD (?) in that it means you have to be a little careful about where you store things. You have to be careful and skillful, sometimes, if you want to rename or move them. Don't let me frighten you! A simple Writer document is a standalone entity, and you can move, rename, etc, its file as you see fit. Not so the files associated with Base work. so I think you're good to go. Share this post Link to post

Posted August 7, 2018 I'm making something with java these days. I made a nested class(A) as thread in class(B). And there's independent class(C). Can I control class (A) from another class (C)? Share this post Link to post
Posted August 7, 2018 I would say yes if I was irresponsible I haven't gotten much into Java lately, and Threads are the topics that I avoided, as I felt that I wasn't ready to dive into that yet (the only basic thread knowledge I have is synchronisation and locks, start, run, stop). Maybe if Class(C) has member that is class(A) or class(B)? I wish Java contains pointers to threads Share this post Link to post

I think I should leave (A) unnecessarily running at this point. It isn't that heavy thread (It have access in network though.). Share this post Link to post
Posted August 8, 2018 I thought of something, would a static global synchronised boolean variable work? Class(A) runs or pauses/stops depending whether the boolean is true or false, and the one that controls the boolean is another thread that runs with a class(C), which has a method (or inside the method) to switch the boolean. I didn't pay attention to my programming classes well; is that viable? Share this post Link to post
Posted August 8, 2018 I think that's worth of trying, but I think should do it later. I have to show my project to professor today so I have to keep it stable. Share this post Link to post
Posted August 8, 2018 I've been trying to get a working emulator for pokemon nuzlockes, but so far the only one I know to try isn't working. I use the pokemon game files on a websites and they work for both smart phones and computers. I have no problem on my phone, but I can't do any recording or anything on a phone. so, could someone please link me to a trusted emulator that can handle gameboy style games all the way through DS games? (basically from Red and Blue all the way to Heart Gold and Soul Silver) And if I'd have to pick just one gameboy system I'd rather have a GBA style. The game files I need it to support can be found here: http://operationidroid.com/ Share this post Link to post
Posted September 5, 2018 Does Facebook have any kind of customer support apart from their "help" pages? Like a support email address or contact form? Share this post Link to post
Posted September 5, 2018 In THEORY: info@facebook.com On the other hand: https://www.wikihow.com/Contact-Facebook I also found: https://gethuman.com/contact/Facebook and https://gethuman.com/email/Facebook Good luck... I am not there so cannot test anything. Share this post Link to post
Posted September 5, 2018 (edited) Thank you @Fuzzbucket - it looks like they really don't want to be bothered with millions of "I lost my password" emails, but I tried anyway now. (I'm trying to access a company's account that has been inactive for a while, and whoever was the last person who had the password doesn't work for the company anymore. And for some reason the password reset email never arrives, not even in the spam folder.) Edit: ... Facebook's mailbox is full. o_O Edited September 5, 2018 by Confused Cat Share this post Link to post
Posted February 13, 2020 I'm currently operating webserver with IIS. When I access my webpage on https with Chrome, it says it says it using outdated security configuration. I know my certificate is valid. Can anyone know which configuration I should touch from server? Spoiler Share this post Link to post
Posted February 25, 2020 I just fixed that by activating TLS 1.2 on registry. Share this post Link to post
Posted August 26, 2020 I guess this thread is dying, but uh, i wasnt really sure about what i read in internet. I have a 2011-13 HP pavilion g4 laptop, and got an overheating BIOS screen recently, so decided to search up bit and installed this program. Are these temperatures good in idle, or are there probs of technical failures in heat "controllers" (fans, disipators, etc)? Running win8.1 currently, and have a good bunch of free space. Those CPU package temperatures (112 degrees max?!) are entirely too high. Share this post Link to post
Posted September 2, 2020 (edited) Also thought that, but it seems its not that the sensors or the program threw a random lecture as it gives a constant average of 90-100 in idle and 100-130 while running ANY program involving heavy internet connection, such as zoom and 3d games, even letting it cool down for 2-3 hours before turning it on again and checking the number. And the fans seem to be working 24/7 unless i suspend or turn off the laptop. Is any good way to troubleshoot that without having to "tear" it all out to check on the dissipators (if it even has one)? Already cleaned the air vents the best i could from outside. Posted September 2, 2020 Oh boy, compared to those numbers maybe my cpu should be red hot, if not literally burning! I think i will have to hold on playing while i wait to get a better laptop. Share this post Link to post
Posted September 2, 2020 Quite. (On the other hand I have to say - my machine was built to my specs - and one thing I asked for was extra fans....) Share this post Link to post
Posted January 3 I connected two speakers on my PC. Are there any way to use both speakers in same time in Windows environment? I want each programs can choose which speaker to use as output. I'd more prefer the way to do it without downloading additional program if it exists. Share this post Link to post

Have you tried using method 1 stated by this site? https://appuals.com/output-audio-multiple-devices-windows-10/ It allows you to attach two audio devices concurrently to your PC and doesn't require any freeware. Though it doesn't provide specialised audio outputs per app (e.g. program 1 playing to speaker A, program 2 playing to speaker B.) I think from here, once you connect the two speakers, you'll have to set, via System settings -> App volume and device preferences, the type of audio output you'd like each application to have, described here: https://www.howtogeek.com/352787/how-to-set-per-app-sound-outputs-in-windows-10/ Haven't tried this method out for myself however. Lemme know if it helped! Share this post Link to post
