It seems to be a thing of long rises with a sudden fall. Let's see how long it draops.

3,500 shards as of 12.28am. looks like whatever change was made isn't sufficient (or wasn't aimed at stats at all), if stat prices are still able to increase so quickly

Glad I made the call to get my first at 3,300. But it's worrisome that they're rising again, and at a rate of above 100 shards/week. I am hoping one day to be able to get one of the opposite gender, so I'd really love it if they weren't absurdly expensive again...

Oh man I'm glad I caught this before it got too much higher (got a Stat at 3500, had almost 3800 saved up)! Was fully ready for it to be like a year before I could afford one lol. Now I can save for dinos/chicken :3

I got one at 3400, so now I finally have a pair. Wish I had enough shards for another, but I'm a long way off. I've been saving shards for this for so long.  It looks like they are heading back to the crazy prices far too soon.

They dropped as low as 3200.  Sadly, I bit the bullet when they were 5200.  Just think what I could have done with that 2000 . . .😪

I just realised that when I bought my first stat in July last year, it cost 3500, almost the same as my second one a few days ago. It's been a long wait, and I really didn't think they would ever get back down. I missed seeing the price drop to 3200 this time, and waited too long when they went back up to 3300. 

Now I'm buying some astraels while they're 100, because they're getting harder to catch with my slow fingers.

Finally gave in and bought myself a stat. I have one from the cave which will now finally get a companion.

I haven't used the market at all until now, so I had more than 20 000 shards saved up. It was time to use a few of them 😄

Magmas are currently the most expensive at 4100 shards. Fascinating, given that I see them fly by in the Volcano pretty regularly.

Also I just noticed the Fleshcrownes are at 1,200 shards. Quite the price for a dragon that, to the best of my knowledge, doesn't have any real demand for it.
