Pokemon: Legends Revolt

Recommended Posts

Gotcha! Minccino was caught. Florent bent down an picked up the pokeball, absolutely giddy to have a new member on his contest team. With Chikorita's help, he returned his scattered items back into his bag, but not before checking his reflection on the newly cleaned surface of his mirror. Chikorita, he could tell, was almost shamelessly possessive of him, from the way her mood lightened up once Minccino was out of the picture. "Chiko-ko-rita," it said, swinging its glowing leaf around again.

"You want to continue training?" guessed Florent. "Sure, but let's move a little bit out into the open road so we don't disturb any more pokemon."

Boldly walking in front of its trainer, Chikorita led the way through the forest and out into the grasslands around Pring Town. On the way, Florent saw a few other trainers training in the grass, who he guessed were preparing for the tournament in the next city. He called to his pokemon when the town was in sight. "Alright, Chick-pea! I think this a good spot." It was where the forest thinned, where the trees grew smaller and farther apart. Florent took out a marker from his jacket pocket and marked an X on the bark of a tree, while Chikorita focused and swung a single leaf, barely missing his head and grazing the side of the tree. "Woah there! I didn't even explain what we're trying to do yet!"

"'Korita," the pokemon answered, eager to get started since it missed the chance to get into a good old-fashioned fight. Florent instructed Chikorita to hit the tree and improve control and accuracy, then move on to a greater number of leaves. At first, not many even hit the target, but as they went on, the scratches and leaves stuck in the tree became closer and closer to the mark he drew. Chikorita's final leaf left a noticeable gash in the bark, almost completely scratching out the X. The pokemon was panting from using the same move so many times, although it had a boastful smirk on its face. "That was awesome!" Florent congratulated. "If you're tired, I can swap in Princess, no big deal."

Upon hearing its new nickname, Minccino practically burst out from the pokeball at his belt. More determined than ever to impress, Chikorita steadied itself and prepared to launch another Razor Leaf. "Wait," its trainer said as he pointed to the left, where the trees were thin but closer together. The pokemon's leaf was still glowing, but Chikorita nodded to show it was listening. Florent started explaining, "In contests, it's not always about power, so relax. Let the Razor leaves spiral around the trees without hitting any of them."

He thought it would be easy for Chikorita to let the leaves curve naturally as they spun through the air, but every time the pokemon launched them too fast and they kept travelling in a straight line, but Florent noticed how Minccino's front paws seemed to spark, and how Chikorita's leave subtly sparked in the same way. "Princess... Stop trying to use Helping Hand," he scolded, while the chinchilla pokemon just laughed. It got him thinking, though, that Helping Hand would be a useful move during double appeals, assuming the had those in the Broskii region.

By that time, Chikorita was too exhaused to continue training the same move, and Florent returned the pokemon to its pokeball before heading to the Pring Town pokecenter with Minccino at its heels. He figured from the way it was sniffing around and how amazed it was at the sliding doors that the pokemon had never really ventured into town. Both of them recoiled and scrunched their noses at the same time when they smelled the stench of a Stunky in the Pokemon Center. It was probably long gone, but the smell still lingered, even at the counter where Florent handed Chikorita's pokeball to the nurse to help it rest.

((tl;dr Florent more or less finished Razor Leaf training and is now working on Helping Hand, but he is now open for interaction in the pokemon center.))

Tom

Tom smiled, he had finally reached Pring Town. With Elekid walking by his side, the green haired boy entered the busy town. He could see even at this distance how the park in the middle of the town was being prepared with large tents to house the tournament that would be held the next day. Intrigued by it, he decided to take a look around, and almost unwantedly, he saw the prize table which at this point wa sbeing guarded by two large Machokes. in it he could see a group of evolutionary stones, at least three of each known stone, three TM disks to themiddle of the table and above all else, he could see something rather big, a cilindric object covered by a blanket. Of course he wanted to see more, but the two bulky pokemon would not allow him to go any further so he thought it was better to go to the Pokemon Center, after all, he had to heal the pokemon he just caught.

The boy entered the Pokemon Center, not before returning Elekid to his pokeball, once inside, he turned around and immediately covered his nose, what was that awful stench! That was surely somethign he didn't expected to smell in a place like this. Tom went out again and taking a deep breath he got inside the Pokemon Center, hurrying to approach the counter. He took his two pokeballs and gave them to Nurse Joy who was holding what seemed to him a gas mask, but in reality it was only a nurse mask* the happy lady smiled and took the pokemon, "don't worry, I'll heal your pokemon in no time, but if you prefer you could wait for them in the back of the Pokemon Center, the smell there is much nicer and you could also check the arena we had there, maybe even see a battle? Sometimes trainers used it to have pokemon battles and you're welcome to use it if he wanted to of course" the lady said, giving him a smile and going back to heal the pokemon along wit the pokeball she had recieved from the other boy a momment ago.

Zein

Shroomish glared at the boy as he attempted to do the same useless trick again. This time, instead of preparing an Absorb attack, Shroomish decided to counter the strategy straigth. When it saw the pokeball getting off the boy's hand, it ran in its direction, Tackling the sphere before it could open. The force of the hit sent the pokeball back to its trainer, hitting him in the face and forcefully opening it, making the Duskull inside, although confused and hurt by the rumbling insde the pokeball, to be released and along with it, the Night Shades it was preparing, the attacks eveloping both trainer and his pokemon. Shroomish grined, and by shaking its body hard to realease a cloud of purple dust, it resumed its path back home, knowing that given they followed, they would either get paralized or poisoned, or maybe even both when passing through the cloud of mixed dust it had left behind.

Icarus

((I'm not sure if you wanted to find the pokemon or wanted an actual encounter so... I'mma have you encounter the Cleffa, and then you can ask for an encounter later.))

While Icarus looked for the baby Cleffa, the pokemon, scared as it was, only tried to find her trainer. When it saw the Starly cutting the grass with its wings, believing the bird was hunting for food, the baby pokemon ran in the exact opposite direction, getting to Icarus and crashing on his leg. Cleffa let out a loud cry as it hit its face, but at least, it was found.

Alv

The Dedenne looked at the boy in awe, how could this human be so kid to it if it just hit his pokemon? At least it thought the Buizel was its pokemon. But neverminding that, the pokemon stared at the poffins, the smell was so nice, and in that very momment, its stomach roared, almost as strong as the Slaking's roar from before. Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea to eat those poffins? The Dedenne looked at the boy for a second, trying to see if he was preparing a trap or something, then it looked at the Buizel who seemed angry at it, but since it was obeying its trainer, there wa sno reason to fear it. Dedenne turned its eyes back to the food and without any more hesitation, it grabbed the four poffins and ate them all, one after the other. In no time, all four poffins ahd dissapeared and Dedenne's stomach was full. "den~" the pokemon sighed satisfied, that was a good meal.

Kaiser

After he had recovered from energy by eating the berries, Gible remained sit, relaxing for a while. Once he thought Gible had got enough rest, Kaiser called for the pokemon "let's go Gible, you have to master that move soon" he said. Gible got up and nodded, he moved to where he had been training and nodded to his trainer as if telling him he was ready. "ok Gible, use Dragon Rage!" Kaiser called. Gible opened his mouth, gathering his energy there, he created a small orb of fire in his mouth which soon started growing and turning blue. Once the orb had got to its full size, taking all the space in Gible's already big mouth, small yellow lightning appeared surrounding the sphere. Gible knew it was now time and released the orb of energy against the tree, this time the orb of energy was shot straight at the target, and unlike last time, it didn't got smaller, it continued its path with full energy until it reached the tree, blasting it in the same part where it had previously left just a scorch mark. Kaiser smiled "well done Gible, I think you've mastered it" he said. "Gible!" the small land shark pokemon cried excited. He smiled when he saw his attack finally reaching its target.

Kaiser gave Gible some more berries as a reward and when the pokemon was finished eating, he readied his backpack and called Gible to follow him, they had to find another pokemon to add to their team before reaching Pring Town, after all, he wanted to enter a Tournament, and to enter and only have Gible fight there would not be such a good idea. Besides, it could never hurt to get another pokemon to his team, specially if it was a dragon, something he knew would not be likely to appear around here, but it didn't hurt to dream either.

Alv looked at Flots, he could se he was jealous at the Dedenne, after all, Alv had only given him two. "Here, Flots." Alv said. "It's not just mine, it's yours too, help yourself."

Alv turned back to the Dedenne, he had no idea what to do next and he knew the rodent wasn't that submissive. He introduced himself and Flots. "I'm Alv, a new trainer, and this is my Pokémon, Flots. You sure look pretty tough, what are you doing out here in a forest like this?" Of course, Alv was using small talk, he didn't know what else to say, but it was worth a shot, but luckily Flots came to the rescue and barked playfully, but Alv noticed something, his muscles weren't tense like they always were ever since he had gotten him, he seemed more passive and calm than aggressive and alert, but in a good way. Flots smiled at the Dedenne, holding his hand out for a truce, assuring the Dedenne that he wasn't going to hurt it.

Icarus picked up the baby pokemon and tried to comfort it by wiping the dirt off its face." It's okay, you're safe now. We got you." He whistled to Grim and Wing-wings, who promptly came over. He walked back towards the trainer from earlier." Hey! I found your pokemon. He placed Cleffa on the ground. "It looks really scared."

Meanwhile, Grim had stayed a short distance behind in search of food. "Ky-Ky- Stunk." He called out. Wing-wings heard it and hopped over. Wanting to practice his Wing attack, he slashed at the berry bush Grim was heading for, cutting it in half and scattering the berries. Grim glared at him."STUNK." Wing-wings sheepishly bowed his head.

Zein frowned, his Duskull was losing health, and fast. He thought about what to do. Then it hit him. Duskull was a ghost type right? He could pass through the ground and trees. Zein made Duskull return, and threw his Pokeball into a tree.

"Now!" he said, "Pass through the trunk of the tree, head underground!"

The Duskull obeyed, and headed underground. Upon coming back above ground, he saw the purple yellow Effect-Spore cloud. He floated above it, but then quickly fell to the ground, about five feet in front of it, paralyzed. He watched the Shroomish get further away. It was barely a little spec in the distance, when he got back up, and race forward, having to periodically stop, because he was paralyzed. The little Duskull used all his energy, taking him about ten minutes to be 10 feet behind him.

Zein was running closely behind the Duskull, wasting his energy with his Duskull. He had to take a detour around the effect spore cloud. Duskull was out of sight, though, so he was on his own.

The Duskull once again passed underground, paralyzed, he could not move, the Shroomish got even further away from him. He peaked out of the ground. The Duskull crept underground, expending his energy, taking paralysis breaks, and finally, got directly under the Shroomish. He peaked only the tip of his stubby little hands out of the ground, in a way so that they'd look like dead plants, or a mound of dirt. He charged up two Night Shades, slightly behind the Shroomish, and sent them forward. He starting coming out from under the Shroomish, as fast as he could, so he could headbutt it.

Zein was not far behind, but he got tired of jogging.

Cleffa ran behind her trainer's leg, still slightly crying and very scared. Larien thanked boy who had found her, soon scooping up the Cleffa. "You're alright... we were looking for you too but you're safe now." She said soothingly, soon returning the baby pokemon to her pokeball so any more attacks wouldn't hurt her.

Spinarak still stood very ready to attack the Spinda, which Larien now didn't bother trying to correct. She could see he was determined to protect Skorupi no matter what. Dana probably was right- Spinarak did seem to have at least something for Skorupi.

The spider took everything it had to not attack the other pokemon. It was extrememly tempted to fire off a String Shot and then torment the pokemon with a combination of Scary Face and Poison Sting. That would teach it a lesson the Spinda would never forget. Don't mess with Skorupi.

Kaiser

All the attacking of the tree the Gible had been foccused on had unknownly caught the attention of a very aggressive Venipede nearby. As Kasier and Gible walked off, the angered bug followed. It had been watching them destroy part of its territory and did not take lightly to that at all. It waited for the right moment before attacking.

The Venipede charged out of the grass in a Rollout, quickly slamming into the Gible from surprise. The curled up bug rolled a little away from the land-shark, making sure to be in front of their path before uncoiling and standing facing the trainer and pokemon who had attacked its territory. "Venipeeede!!!" It called as a challenge. There was no way it was going to let these two get away with ruining its territory.

"Skrrrup!" Skorupi chirped in triumph, although Dana could see she was worn out after so many hits as well. "Alright, let's try to finish this quickly. Knock Off!" Skorupi scuttled forward and swiped at the Spinda with both claws. Dana pulled a Pokeball out of his backpack in anticipation; Uproar was a strong move, not to mention the way the Spinda dodged everything and even shook Skorupi off. It would be a great addition to his team.

Biter

Biter glared at the stupid string, that the weedle wrapped around his legs, and quickly tried shook it all off. It took a few moments, but he finally got it off and looked for the annoying bug. He spotted it in a tree and without waiting for a command ran directly towards the tree to climb up and tackle the bug. Nobody tries to poison him and get away from it.

Xander

As Xander watched his Aron run towards the tree, he realized a few things.

Weedle's a bug type, meaning that it would be very versatile when it comes to climbing and moving from tree to tree. Biter on the other hand, it will take him a few moments to get to the tree branch, which by then weedle will already have moved. But because of Biter's weight, the moment he steps on the branch, the twig of a branch would quickly snap beneath him. By Biter falling, he would end up more hurt than the weedle.

"Biter STOP!", he screamed urgently, worried that Biter may not listen to him. Thankfully, Biter did stop when he heard his trainers worried voice. "Ar, aron?", he responded quite confused. "Instead of climbing the tree to get to the weedle, tackle the tree as hard as you can, and when you see the weedle falling, run as fast as you can and tackle it just as it is get within a few inches of the ground.", Xander quickly tells Biter his plan, which as he says it, he can see Biter understand how much more effective it would be than his own plan.

"ARON!", Biter screams as he sprints at the tree.

(I'll leave it up to you if it works or not.

Dedenne looked at the boy, still in good mood from eating the poffins it decided it would hear him. When it heard the boy was a new trainer, Dedenne seemed unfazed, maybe because it had no idea how was that different from any other trainer it had seen through the route. But then, Dedenne smiled when it heard it was tough, yes it was, the pokemon puffed its chest, proud to be recognized as the strong foe it really was. "den den dedenne" the pokemon chirped, telling the this place was its home and that they have disturbed its sleep with their practice, its grin turning into a slightly angry one, jsut to remember being awoken made it angered, but there was food so it calmed Dedenne down.

The hurt Spinda turned to the Skorupi with a sad face. Not because it was feeling sad, but because the Poison it was under the effects of made it have that face. "spin" the pokemon called before releasing a powerfull Uproar, but not stoping the Skorupi's attack. Spinda recieved the Knock Off attack from the scorpion and immediately was shut, falling on the ground, panting heavily. Spinda looked at the trainer, it saw a pokeball coming its way, it could have tried to dodge it, but right now it was feeling reall bad, and maybe if it allowed the trainer to catch it, he would have its Poison cured, somethign Spinda really needed at this point. The trainer released the pokeball and shot it towards Spinda. The spin pokemon didn't hesitated on letting it hit straight and as the red ray of light enveloped it and dragged it inside, Spinda smiled, it would soon be cured. The ball fell on the ground shaking lightly and in less than five seconds it was stood still, Spinda had been caught!

Pokemon Caught: Spinda, Male, Relaxed nature, around level 5

Weedle saw the Aron coming at it, with the intention of climbing the tree, that was not expected, lucky for it, the Aron's trainer made the pokemon stop and instead of climbing up, Aron was now ramming at the tree. Weedle seemed to smile, that was exactly what it was expecting. Weedle looked back to see how the crack on the branch it was standing began to get bigger and bigger with each hit on the tree. The worm then turned to the Aron and saw how it was perfectly under the branch. Weedle awaited patiently and when the branch finally broke, the pokemon cried out loud in fear, making the Aron believe it was falling, instead, it shot one of its String Shots to another tree to dodge the falling and let the branch fall over the Steel pokemon's head. Weedle seemed to giggle as it saw the Aron dizzy, maybe it couldn't hit it with its Poison Stings, but it could use other ways to hurt the pokemon. Weedle went back tot he ground and moving closer to where they found it, it glared at the boy, crying a threatening "weeeeedle!" as if taunting him.

Kaiser

Gible cried in pain as he was forced back by the Rollout. Not sure what had happened, the pokemon got up fast, just to see the Venipede infront of them, hissing for a challenge. "you ok Gible?" askedKaiser, recieving only a nod in answer. "alrigh, then lets battle, this pokemon doesn't seem it will go away if we don't beat it anyway" continued the trainer, Gible stepped forward and nodded, preparing to attack as soon as he was told to. "alright Gible, use Sand Attack and follow up with a Tackle" called Kaiser. Gible noddded and started scratching the ground, raising a cloud of dust in the middle of the field, making sure some of it got inot Venipede's eyes, he dashed through the dust towards the bug, aiming to Tackle it with his whole body.

Larien noticed Dana had caught the Spinda and it seemed that Spinarak had already ran over to congratulate Skorupi. "Nice job Dana." She said with a smile, admiring the way they fought. She still needed to get Spinarak to battle. Or at least to satisfy his eagerness too before the tournament so she could see how he worked out in fighting instead of going in cold. It was better to know a little bit on how her pokemon fought than nothing.

Spinarak, meanwhile, was busy making sure Skorupi was alright. He was extremely tempted to attack the pokeball even just to be sure the Spinda was down and out. Or at least understood that Skorupi had a friend here willing to fight by its side. But he knew that the pokemon was done. It was caught, and it was Dana's.

((if FPD would like a collaborated event, then, event as we mentioned before. If not, I wouldn't mind another one myself... but I'd like to see if FPD would like to participate first smile.gif ))

Kaiser

Venipede got a bit of dust in its eyes but it had saw the Gible was going in for an attack. It wasn't going to let these two get the best of it. Not at all. With a triumphant hiss, the pokemon used Roll Out again. The attack slammed forcefully into the pokemon and rolled onward behind the land-shark for a moment. This was the second time it used the attack, and the pokemon knew with each hit that it would hurt more. So the curled bug kept rolling, turning around and heading for where Gible was again. It circled once more to change direction and possibly fool Gible, passing near his Trainer, before aiming directly for the land-shark. It hoped to make quick work of the intrudors so it could go back to protecting the rest of its territory.

Shroomish approached the tubby arms of Duskull, intrigued, it was sure those were not plants, but what could that be? The pokemon intrigued adn sure there was nothign to fear, its onl threat was left far behind, Shroomish lowered its guard. "shroom shroom" it called, checking the wird limbs, but as it did, the Night Shades behind it, enveloped the pokemon's body and made Shroomish feel a familiar pain. "shrooom!" it called hurt. Shroomish moved away, where did that came from, there was nothing and noone around to have it hurt like that. Ascared and not knowing what to do, the Shroomish used Absorb on one of the surrounding trees to recover some of its health, it didn't knew what had attacked it, but it knew it wanted to be prepared to atatck whatever it was.

Kaiser

Kaiser shrugged, that last one must have hurt. Gible got up, feeling his stomach hurt from the attack. Gible shook his head, he knew another oneof those attacks would deal him a lot of damage. "now Gible, use Dragon Rage and then Sand Attack" called the trainer, he figured it would be best to hit and hide than awaiting for an actual attack. Gible nodded and prepared the orb of energy, as soon as he saw the Venipede change its direction towards him, he released the alrge orb of drgaon energy, sending it to explode against the centipede and as soon as he heard the explosion, he used the Sand Attack to shoot sand at Venipedeto make its aim bad and to hide himself so eh could dodge the next attack.

The Venipede rolled toward Gible, getting knocked off course by the Dragon Rage. It careened toward one of the trees from the force and uncoiled itself to stop from running into it. The Gible was throwing sand everywhere, but the Venipede was angry enough not to care. It opened its mouth, small barbs of poison coming forth before shooting at toward the Gible's direction. It moved a little to the left and right to cover a bit more ground in case the Gible moved. But soon, the sand from the Sand Attack shielded both pokemon from view as the the Poison Sting stopped firing. Using this to its advantage, the Venipede used Roll Out to move from its position much faster than it would just by walking.

Zein frowned. He saw his Duskull was taking matters into his own hands. He didn't want to let the Shroomish realize what was going on, so he stayed barely at an eye distance. The Duskull went inside the tree Shroomish had just healed itself on, and froze, because he was paralyzed. It was getting worse. When he was sure the Shroomish wasn't looking, he stuck the tip of his arm out once more, and created a bunch of Night Shades, about five, in a circle. He sent them to the Shroomish, however one of them did not get, because he was paralyzed. He sent that one about twenty seconds later. The Night Shades surrounded the Shroomish, and began to enclose on it. He pulled his arms back into the tree, and once again froze, because he was paralyzed, peeking out, to see what would happen.

((I'd be okay with a group event!! Although both Dana's Pokemon are half-dead right now ahahah))

Dana collapsed onto the grass, relieved that that had worked. "Thanks!" He beamed up at Larien. "So you caught a Cleffa? That's pretty cool. I think Clefairies have lots of fancy status moves, yeah? That'll be fun." Skorupi, meanwhile, scuttled up to the Pokeball and, doing what she always did when she encountered a foreign object, poked it. It didn't respond - Spinda was busy contemplating the meaning of life and trying to recover from poison. Skorupi wasn't feeling too cool either after several Uproars to the eardrums, but she pretended that absolutely nothing was wrong all the same. She chittered something to Spinarak and tried to poke him too.

Shroomish, still ascared couldn't notice Duskull's arms coming out from the tree. The shadows surrounded Shroomish but thanks to Duskull's Paralisis, Shroomish got time to prepare an attack. Getting eveloped in the Night Shade attack, Shroomish was hurt, but this time it did not let out a cry of pain, instead it endured the attack and countered with an Absorb, draining some of Duskull's energy with it. Once it was done, Shroomish grinned, it was now sure this was the same Duskull it had left behind who somehow, had managed to catch up, but now, after that last attack, they were both in equal terms, and from this distance it felt secure the Paralized pokemon would not reach without lettign itself insight.

Dana

If you think your pokemon might need some rest, you can take your time to have them rest, or cured with a potion or berry and when you're ready I'll give you the event for both.

Kaiser

Kaiser could see how Gible used his armsto take cover from the Poison Stings, the poisonous barbs flew to his sides, but due to Venipede's movement, some of them still managed to hit the land shark pokemon. But as soon as the attack was over, Gible seemed unfazed, yeah he had recieved the attack, but he was not backing off just yet. Kaiser smiled, he knew Gible wanted to win this battle as much as him "ok Gible, now Tackle that Venipede and charge up a Dragon Rage but don't shoot it yet" he said. Gible nodded, runnint towards the centipede with his mouth open, the red orb of energy forming and growing stronger as the dragon approached his target. Kaiser seemed confident, he knew that Gible wouldn't be able to shot the Dragon Rage on time, but since he expected the Venipede to either dodge the attack or counter with a Rollout, the clash of both pokemon's would make the Dragon Rage on Gible's mouth to explode in the middle, causing damage to the Venipede still.

Seeing everything fine with the Cleffa, Icarus smiled and called Grim and Wing-wings over. Grim looked pissed off for some reason. It was apparently screaming at Wing-wings."STUNK. STUNKY STU-KY-KY STUNK." At the end of his rant, a high pitched sound emerged from his mouth, starling Icarus and forcing him and Wing-wings to cover their ears. Icarus walked over to him." That was actually pretty good! You could use that in battle. Do it again!" He returned Wing-wings to his ball so he wouldn't have to listen to that Ear-piercing screech. Grim immediately screeched again, with his voice a little more shaky this time. Icarus pet him on the head. " You'll get it eventually, buddy."

They walked through the tall grass, with Grim practicing screech as they walked. Icarus hoped for a wild pokemon to try it on.

Wing-wings shook the pokeball as he writhed in discomfort. He could hear Grim from inside. His ears were hurting from all the screeching. He wondered how Icarus was able to stand it.

Alv looked straight at the Dedenne, it was definitely cute, and it was definitely going to be powerful. "Hey." He said, reaching his arm out with a Pokeball in his hand. "I don't know if you're up for this but... would you like to travel with us? Explore the world? We can fight other Pokémon on the way and we'll become the very best!" But then Alv realised that the Dedenne probably wanted more poffins. "Right, and we'll have a lot of food for you on the way."

Zein frowned, watching the Duskull hit with they absorb. The Duskull went back underground, and charged a Night Shade, which surrounded its arm, like a gauntlet made of deep purple storm clouds. He rose from under the Shroomish, and attempted to strike it in the eyes, to cloud its vision. After hitting it ((or not)), however, he planned to go underground, but the paralysis kicked in, and he froze in the position, leaving him vulnerable to an attack.

Tom

Tom walked out of the Pokemon Center through the backdoor. Now he could breath, oh it was so good to beath this clean air again! The boy smiled and approached the arena as he saw there was a battle going on. He could see the battle of a boy and his Houndour against another boy and his Pansear, it was interesting to see two Fire Pokemon battling each other, maybe they were practicing for the tournament? Well, if he wanted to ask them he'd have to wait 'till the battle was over, but before that happened, Nurse Joy appeared through the door he just came out. Still using that mask he saw her before, apparently that was her way to stand the awful smell lingering inside the Pokemon Center. The nurse seemed to smile as she offered him a tray with his two pokeballs which Tom took happily. "well, I see you'r interested in the battle going on huh?" the nurse asked "would that be because you're here for the tournament as well?" she continued. "as well?" Tom asked confused, placing his pokeballs on his belt. "yeha, those two kids over there had just signed up a couple minutes ago, would you like to sign up for the tournament too?" the kind woman replied. Tom smiled, she had just read his mind "yes please" the boy answered. "alright come with me" the lady replied and went back inside.

Tom sighed, he didn't wanted to go inside just yet, he had just got some clean air five minutes ago. But his desire to join the tournament was greater than his unwillingness to go back inside the Pokemon Center. The boy walked behind the kind woman and when they approached the counter, Nurse Joy took a digital tablet, displaying the sign-in form on its screen and gave it to Tom. "all you have to do is fill this out and click the "Sign In" button at the bottom and you'll be entered into the Tournament" the woman explained. Tom nodded and immediately filled out the form. Name, check; Trainer ID, check; Party, up to three spaces, Tom only filled two. When he was done, he clicked the "Sign In" button and returned the tablet to Nurse Joy "thanks a lot Nurse Joy" he said and hurried back outside, he couldn't hold his breath for much longer. Nurse Joy smiled "you're welcome" she said to the running boy.

Icarus

As Icarus and Stunky walked through the route, the skunk practicing its new move, the ear piercing noise disturbed the pokemon in the surrounding, growl and roars could be heard around them, but one pokemon could not take it any more and stepped infront of the duo. Crying an angry "zig!" a Zigzagoon stepped in the middle of the road, its racoon face revealing its anger. The pokemon let out a menacing Growl, letting Stunky know that if it didn't stopped the annoyance, it would shut him itself.

((Just a reminder, since the moves require two posts of training before being mastered, you can use the move in this battle, but the first time you try to use it, Stunky will miss it.))

Alv

The Dedenne looked at the trainer in awe, it was confused as to how this human was inviting it to join them. Dedenne hesitated, yes it was upset they had awaken it, but the boy had apologized by offering it some tasty food. But joining a human, that was somethign really big. The pokemon's face changed to a thoughtfull shrug as it considered everything before giving an answer. On one hand, this route had been its home for its entire life, but on the other hand, nothing interesting ever happened here, nothing except the occasional trainer that walked through, and most of them didn't even cared to bother the pokemon here. Plus, the offer of food was something important, and if that food was going to be as good as the food it was just gifted, then it was ok with it, that was some amazing food! at least it was better than the berries it was so used to eat every day. Dedenne looked at the boy and chirped a happy "den!" before using its front paw to hit the button in the middle of the pokeball, being dragged inside by the red ray of light. The pokeball fell to the ground shaking and in a few seconds it stood still, Dedenne ahd been caught!

Zein

Shroomish cried outin pain as it was hit by the Night Shade. The pokemon backed off a few feet, frmo the hit. Shaking its head/body trying to clean it sight, Shroomish opened its yes, only able to see a blurry Duskull Paralized in mid air. Shroomish knew that it had no time to prepare an Absorb which meant it only had one option. The pokemon backed off a few feet and opened its eyes again, making sure of Duskull's position before moving. Shroomish knew that on normal conditions, Duskull would not be affected by a Tackle, it would simply fade to let it pass through and not recieving damage, but Paralized, well, that was a different story. Paralized, Duskull was not able to move or fade away to that wierd gastly form Ghost Pokemon took tso they don't get hit by physical attacks, Paralized, it would be able to hit Duskull's physical form. Taking a deep breath, Shroomish ran at its foe, landing a powerful Tackle on Duskull's bony face. The heavy panting Shroomish smiled as it knew it had landed the hit, a hit that it was sure caused a lot of damage to Duskull, and given its condition and Duskull's, the end of this battle was only a matter of who landed the next attack first.

Alv held up the Pokéball in triumph. He released the Dedenne and scanned it with his Pokédex. "Den!" it cried. He stared at his Pokédex, he had never had time to observe it. He had seen the Pokédexes before in Hoenn, but this one looked nothing like them. It was used– second hand, and had scratches all over it; he realised that he had gotten a different Pokédex from the other trainers in Pine's lab, their's were brand new, but his was old. Alv shut it, as long as it had updated data, it would still be useful, there would be no use thinking about it at the moment.

He turned to the Dedenne. "I'm going to name you... Chubs. You do have chubby cheeks."

"Den!" Chubs squeaked in delight, she definitely liked that name, even though she didn't know what it meant, but it sounded tough.

"Okay." Alv said. "Let's see you Tackle!" Chubs lunged and tackled a nearby fallen tree. "Now use Tail Whip." Alv ordered, and the Pokémon obeyed. Alv told both of his Pokémon to now practice their moves against the tree, and they did so for the rest of the hour.

Icarus stared at the angry Pokemon in the grass. "Sorry little guy, but Grim needs to practice." Grim nodded and tried to screech again. The noise was shaky and annoying, but not quite disturbing enough this time. Grim approached the Zigzagoon and stared him in the face, before screeching right at him and attempting to claw his side

Icarus sighed. It was getting better, but nowhere near usable. He backed away in anticipation of the Zigzagoon's reaction. He sent Wing-wings out to watch the battle. The tiny bird perched itself on his head and watched Grim annoy the wild pokemon further. He felt a little worried, but dismissed it. Grim could take care of himself.

The Duskull was able to move again, after being knocked into a tree. The force of the tackle caused some of the bark to fall of, and the tree to slowly fall over. Zein rushed over to his Duskull.

"Duskull!" he said, "I'm about to throw this Pokeball, and when I do, surround it with a Night Shade, so that the Shroomish will be damaged, thereby giving us a higher chance to catch it!"

Zein threw the Pokeball.

The Duskull used Night Shade, surrounding the Pokeball, right before it was about to hit the Shroomish. The red and white ball was no longer visible, and only the Night Shade appeared to be still there.

Duskull fell over, in paralysis. He knew that if the Shroomish wasn't caught, he'd lose the battle, and Curly would have to take over.

Icarus

The Zigzagoon Growled at the Stunky again, only to have its face clawed. The racoon turned to the skunk with an even more angered grin. "zagoon!" it cried out loud, Tackling the Stunky right in its face, hitting the Stunky in the nose with its head. When it saw the Stunky getting to the ground by the hit, the racoon jumped over it and used the claws on its front paws to cut its right side, not willing to stop. "zagoon zagoon zigzagoon!" the pokemon cried annoyed, as if telling the pokemon "this is what you get for daring me".

Zein

Shroomish could ehar the boy and prepared to use Absorb on the Duskull, but it was taken by surprise when the pokemon instead of attacking it directly, eveloped the pokeball with its Night Shade. Hesitant, Shroomish couldn't decide who to aim if the Duskull himself or the shaded ball. By the time the pokemon made its decision, the pokeball hit it on its back, dragging the pokemon inside with a red ray of light, but at the same time, Shroomish used the Absorb on Duskull, draining whatever was left of his energy, knocking out the pokemon, unluckily for Shroomish, being dragged in the pokeball prevented it to recover any health with its attack and begun to faint as it got inside the ball. The shades dissipated from around the pokeball as Duskull fainted, but with the Shroomish inside, they had done their job. The ball fell on the ground shaking violently as the Shroomish inside tried to scape the spheric prison, but within a few seconds, Shroomish fainted inside the pokeball, making it stood still, Shroomish had been caught.

Zein was elated upon catching the Shroomish, but his Duskull had fainted. "Well," said Zein, throwing out Curly, his only healthy Pokemon, and returning his Duskull to his Pokeball, "Looks like we're headed to Pring Town."

In about an hour, avoiding any tall grass, Zein was at Pring Town. He saw the park in the center, being guarded by two Machokes. No biggy. His Chandelure could have beat them. There were prizes, such as stones, and TMs for the competition. He'd have no problem winning. He would be in the New Trainer division, and he'd have lots more experience than most participants. He walked into the Pokemon center, handing the Nurse Joy his three Pokeballs, waiting an hour or two for his Pokemon to heal. It took about two hours.

The Duskull had low blood sugar, and high insulin, so they fed him berries (He knew that plants used sugar, but he didn't know plant Pokemon used moves like giga drain and absorb to suck up sugar, go figure.)

Curly had a few cuts and scrapes, as did Shroomish.

Zein got his three Pokemon out, and took them behind the Pokemon Center.

"You three work with me now!" he called, "So you're each going to learn new moves."

"Duskull!" he said, "At your level, most Pokemon only have one non-normal type move. If you used disable to prevent them from using it, all they'll be able to use is struggle. They'll die of recoil, while you are just fine. Now use Disable!"

The Duskull attempted, and a white spark appeared in front of him. It almost flashed, but then it faded.

"Try to rotate the white spark before it flashes, it helps. Now keep practicing!" he said.
