Pokemon: Legends Revolt

Recommended Posts

"Where did you run off too..." Florent looked around for his Chikorita. "Chikorita! Where are you, Chick-pea?" he called out through the forest. In response to his voice, Chikorita bounded out of the tall grass nearby, stubby tail wagging happily. There was no trace of the Pokepuff other than a few crumbs around its mouth. "Hold still, will you?" Florent asked the grass-type as he took out his pokedex to register himself and scan his pokemon.

"You're a little girl, aren't you?" Florent said with a grin. He had a feeling that his pokemon was female. He knew grass-types better than anyone. "And pretty bold! I'll trust the 'dex on that one." Overgrow as an ability. I wasn't sure what I was expecting with that, he added to himself.

His pokemon, rubbing against him to get his attention, looked at him with a mix of wonder and inquiry and boredom. "Hold on a minute, will you?"

Florent did find it strange that the pokedex listed that Chikorita didn't know any grass moves; just Tackle and Growl. He figured, though, that it was on the brink of learning one. Usually, he remembered, low-power grass pokemon would have basic moves like Vine Whip or Absorb, and Florent reasoned that Chikorita was no different. With the leaf on its head, it could probably learn...

"Chick-pea, Razor Leaf!" He shouted, pointing forwards towards the bark of a large tree. Chikorita immediately bounced to action, its leaf glowing, but nothing happened. They stared at each other for a moment, confused, and glad that they weren't in the middle of a battle at the moment.

"Let's try that again." Pokemon and trainer nodded in sync, determined to perfect the new move. Chikorita tried again.

"Chiii..." Chikorita said, concentrating. "Ko!" The leaf on its head glowed again, and with a swing of its head, the pokemon sent a razor sharp leaf flying backwards and toward Florent, who shielded his head with his arms. The leaf, travelling in a wide arc, passed harmlessly beside him.

"Don't worry about me," he urged the pokemon. "Razor Leaf, one more time!"

This time, several sharp leaves were sent flying in uncontrollable directions, none of them being the target they aimed for. Some flew in Florent's direction and gave him tiny cuts on his hands and cheeks. Others went through and disturbed the tall grass around them. Florent hoped no wild pokemon would appear while they were practicing, since the move was still far from useable -- but he knew he might be pushing his luck.

"Okay Flots, hit it with a Sonic Boom!" Alv commanded. Flots snarled and leapt into the air, he then sent a shock wave down on the Ledyba, but Flots wasn't satisfied, he charged quickly at the bug again, dealing another attack.

"Flots, back down, we have to watch its health." Alv said. Flots got ready for another Sonic Boom, but hesitated and went back to his trainer. "Good boy, hey, I know what's best, you can't just fight by yourself, you gotta look before you leap." Alv could see another trainer near his area, battling a Stunky, he realised that the tournament in the next town wasn't going to be easy, he had to train Flots hard before entering.

((I take it you want an event for yourself? Or maybe for the group? If it s the latter, I'll expand the encounter in the next reply.))

As the group walked through the route, the boy's Skorupi jumped off to the grass. Something had got the scorpion intrigued and Dana found himself forced to follow the curious pokemon. Soon they go to a clearing where a wild Spinda was, well, troting around, clumsy steps made the pokemon almost walk in circles, too confused with its walking to notice the pokemon that was spying on it.

Florent

((Let me congratulate you, the way you are trying to teach new moves to your pokemon is exactly what I tried to explain in the rules. You got it perfectly as I expected wink.gif)

Chikorita's leaves, flying in every direction but the desired one, wreaked havoc in the vicinity, forcing all types of scared pokemon to run away. A flock of Pidgeys flew off a nearby tree, a group of Bidoof cried out ascared and ran away, and so happened with several others. But one pokemon was more angered than scared. The Minccino that lived on the tree they aimed for was awaken b the sudden riot. Finding no other culprit to the startling noise around than the Chikorita and its trainer, the angered chinchilla ran to the two and started chirping in a really high tone, scolding the duo for waking it up. "cin cin ciiin!" it cried out angered, releasing one final Growl at them, wanting them to know it was pissed off.

Alv

The Buizel's Sonic Boom landed perfectly on Ledyba's body, sending the lady bgu crashing against a tree. Ledyba shook its head trying to recover as soon as possible, only able to dodge the second attack from the Buizel. Ledyba looked at the weasel with its trainer, those big eyes looking really angered, it didn't wait for the trainer to word a command to his pokemon, it rushed at the Buizel, hitting it a full body Tackle, sending the weasel back a few feet, the panting lady bug smiling as it stumbled.

Icarus walked closer to the panting pokemon. Both of them were panting heavily. He approached the abandoned Pecha berry bush and plucked one of the pink fruits. "Take a break, Wing-wings." He tossed him a berry and he dug into it happily. Icarus took one for himself, and started chewing it. He noticed the Stunky was just as tired as Wing-wings. Feeling a bit guilty, he set a berry down on the ground and rolled it towards the Stunky."Hey little guy, I'm sorry we attacked you while you were eating. Have some food."

Wing-wings pecked a hole in the soft berry and quickly sucked up the juice flowing out. He quickly removed the seed, though he took a few attempts to spear it. Icarus watched him eat."Good speed, not that good at attacking physically. Definitely kinda timid." He remarked. Icarus spat the seed out of his own berry and turned back to see how the Stunky would react.

(Not going for a friendship capture just yet, I wanna bribe him first.)

Alv watched the Ledyba closely, it was definitely very happy, and it definitely didn't care about anything, he took another Oran Berry out of his bag and crept closely to it. Flots stared at him wide-eyed, Alv knew that Flots knew what he was going to do, and he knew he didn't like it, but he went ahead and offered the berry to the Ledyba anyways.

Icarus

((Well it wouldn't matter anyway, you've already started a battle with it so its not like it'll change its mind in between the battle to accept going with you. Of course, you can try to bribe it, but chances are it'll react aggressive towards your character and you'll have to resume the battle))

Stunky saw how the boy stopped the battle for a few momments just to feed his pokemon, with the berries it was eating before their arrival! The skunk got even more angered, it wanted to go against that bird and hit it hard yet again, but truth was, it was getting tired, maybe it could use this time to have a little rest. But going against anything it'd expect from the attacking trainer, he offered some berries, that was unusual, to say the least, but givein the conditions, it wouldn't pass this chance to have something to recover some of its health at least. Stunky awaited for the boy to back off before it dug its teeth on the berry, eating it fast, it wanted to recover some health yeah, but it did not wanted to be attacked without warning again. Once it was done with the pink fruit, it growled at them, it was ready to resume their battle now.

Alv

Ledyba stared at the kid as he offered it a berry, how could this human attack it out of nowhere and now it wanted to make things right giving it a berry? Annoying humans, they think they can do whatever they want. Ledyba glared at the boy, crying an annoyed "bzzz!" before it rushed against him, snatching the berry off his hands and going back to its previous position. Yeah, it was angry at the boy, but it was no fool, it would not pass some free food, specially an Oran berry, it'll help Ledyba to recover some of its health, something it really needed right now, that Buizel was really beating it up now.

Larien looked around as Spinarak climbed down from her head. He wanted a closer look at the scenery. "Maybe we should go get some pok-" She stopped, noticing Skorupi scatter off into the grass. Spinarak caught notice and wondered if it was wise to follow. His abdomen showed the thought process clearly as the faces kept changing. Eventually the pattern settled on a more content face as the spider climbed off Larien and headed to a nearby clump of grass. Maybe he could help Skorupi find whatever it caught interest in?

"Careful Spinarak... ok?" Larien added, following the spider into the grass. "I'll keep an extra look out for anything."

Kaiser

A herd of Mareep had been nearby where Kaiser and his Gible but the sounds the battle with the Duskull and Sandhrew had made tipped them off and they all ran further away. All except one. One Mareep had been distracted by the battle of the Sandshrew and Duskull momentarily without noticing the rest of the herd had disappeared to safety. The lone pokemon spent a few minutes of its time searching for the herd as a trainer and a Gible entered the grass. Scared, the pokemon backed up for a moment as it realized they did not see it. But soon it was spotted and the Mareep knew running wasn't going to be a very plausible option. The bulb on its tail started to glow as the sheep thought that blinding them would give a good chance to get away.

((hopefully that's alright...))

Don't worry, it is alright.

Larien

While Larien and her Spinarak stepped into the tall grass, they disturbed a group of pokemon that'd bene playing. It didn't took them long to realize the bg amount of patches of rustling grass around them, but one specifically caught Spinarak's attention, one that instead of shake still, seemed to be moving randomly. Spinarak went after it, leading whatever was causing the ristling to move into a clearing. When Larien caught up to her pokemon she could see what Spinarak was running after, a small Cleffa. Finding itself alone in the grass, with none of its freinds around and a Spinarak chasing it, the small baby pokemon had no idea what to do now.

Kaiser

Kaiser looked at the Mareep, it seemed to be more ascared than to be a threat, maybe it was lost? But before he could say anything, the bulb on Mareep's tail started to glow brightly, more than you would expect from such a small pokemon. Kaiser had to cover his face with his arms, while Gible dug a hole into the ground to take cover. Kaiser hesitated on what to do for a momment, but before he made a decision, Gible came out of his hole, toaking battle stance, the small shark seemed eager to have his first battle "well I guess we should give it a try then" he said. kaiser looked at the hole Gible dug, it would be a good source of sand for one of Gible's moves. "Gible use Sand Attack, then follow up with a Tackle!" he said. Gible nodded and while smiling, he grabbed sand with his small arms and started throwing it at the Mareep's face, creating a small cloud of dust in the middle, whithout waiting to see if the sand had blinded or not the sheep, Gible dashed against the Mareep, aiming to Tackle the sheep with his whole body.

Florent didn't see any pokemon leap out at him, and he breathed out the breath he didn't know he was holding. The sudden chaos of rustles and cries told him that any of them in the area had fled, thinking that he was causing trouble. He was ready to keep training Chikorita, but an unexpected visitor interrupted them with a series of angry chitters. Florent froze, slowly lifting his pokedex to determine what pokemon it was.

It had luxurious fur. As a Coordinator who noticed the smallest of details, Florent fell in love. It was clean and spotless, compared to the matted pelt of a wild Luxio or Poochyena, and he didn't need the Dex to tell him that Minccino groomed themselves excessively and kept their nests incredibly clean.

Chikorita took a battle stance. " 'Rita!" it growled back, even though it was somewhat intimidated by the Minccino. By watching Chikorita's slight hesitations, Florent took it as a sign that his pokemon's tackles would be less strong than usual. When it glanced backwards, ready for directions, Florent instead said, "Minccino! Sorry to bother you," he started, attempting to appease the angry pokemon.

Florent didn't really like battling, even though Chikorita was near perfect health, so he tried to use his personal charm to wiggle out of it. Maybe get the cute pokemon to join his contest team, too. He looked through his bag for a treat to offer Minccino. "Look, I know how most trainers would be sending their pokemon at you at this point, but I can't help to notice how beautiful you look. I bet you wouldn't want to dirty your fur with some dumb battle, either."

Skorupi generally tried to avoid rushing into situations. She had spent most of her time in the lab scuttling around, watching the other Pokemon play and poking at things that were interesting. The professor had seemed a bit worried about it at first, but he let her be. But on the other hand, she was curious about what battles were like. And that rustling in the grass she'd noticed a minute ago was just so damn annoying that she just had to go over and tell whatever was doing that to stop, possibly by knocking its head in.

"Whoa!" Dana made a grab for Skorupi, but she twisted away and scuttled into the grass. "Oh, man! Sorry!" He ran after her. "Why does all this grass have to be so tall?" When he reached the clearing, Skorupi was standing in a defensive stance, tail pointed straight up, watching a Spinda that was more confused than Dana had thought anything could possibly be. He tried to track its steps with his eyes for a second - then promptly gave up as it was making him dizzy, too. Skorupi seemed more offended than confused by its movements, though.

"Oh, wait! This is our chance, isn't it?" Skorupi looked up at him. "We can train a bit and maybe catch you a friend. Um...Poison Sting!" Skorupi jumped into action, lunging and stabbing at the Spinda with a claw.

Larien noticed the baby Cleffa seemed a little worried while Spinarak seemed eager to battle. But she had another thing in mind. "Spinarak... hang on..." The spider waited, still eager and ready to shoot off a Poison Sting if needed.

Larien knelt down to be closer to Cleffa's level. She rooted through her bag, keeping an eye on the baby pokemon, before pulling out a smaller Oran Berry she had saved in case it would be needed for later on in the trip. She shifted a little bit closer to the Cleffa, being sure to keep both hands open as she dropped the berry nearby. About half the distance between them both.

Spinarak watched curiously as Larien did this. They weren't going to attack? "You're pry a bit confused aren't ya?" Larien asked calmly with a bit of a smile to show she wasn't mean. "I'm sure Spinarak here didn't mean to scare you... we were just looking around a bit." Spinarak gave a very confused look to Larien for a moment before looking back to the Cleffa. The confused face pattern changed to a more happy pattern. "Spinarak. Spina." He happily said, waving to the baby pokemon slightly.

The Minccino looked at the trainer confused, was it really threatened by its scolding? Of course there was no reason why he shouldn't be, its scolding skills were epic! But his Chikorita wasn't, maybe this Chikorita was just deaf or something. Minccino decided it would give the boy a chance then. The chinchilla seemed to smile when it saw the boy trainer offering a treat for it to grab. Intrigued by what this treat thing was, the pokemon approached him, it was different from any berries it had seen before, would its taste be different from them too? The pokemon heard the boy talking about how a dumb battle would dirty its fur, "cin cin!" the chinchilla nodded, it spent way too much time cleaning its fur to let it get dirty now, specially when it had just awoken, it had the entire day to play or do whatever it wanted, it didn't want to spend the rest of its day cleaning its fur, not when it could be looking for interesting shiny things other humans left through the route.

The Spinda continued its odd walking, almost dodgeing all of the Poison Stings, almost. Another dizzy step made it step again in their path, getting several poisonous barbs in its body. "spiiiin" the pokemon cried, but it sounded more confused than hurt. The Spinda then seemed to go away, but when it was a few feet away, it turned around, releasing a high pitched cry, an Uproar attack, aiming directly to the scorpion infront of it.

Larien

The baby Cleffa stared at the scary spider, preparing to run any momment, its eyes watering as the seconds passed. But just before it break into tears, the girl trainer of the spider arrived, Cleffa was confused, the human seemed really nice, she even stopped that spinarak from attacking it. "You're pry a bit confused aren't ya?" the girl said, Cleffa only nodded ascared. It then heard the girl's explanation about how Spinarak wasn't really meaning to scare it, something Cleffa had a hard time to believe, from its point of view, that Spinarak not only inteded to scare it, but also to eat it! The baby pokemon jumped to the girl's arms, taking shelter on her from the scary spider, it was now waving one of its many many legs threatening the poor baby pokemon "clef clef!" the pokemon cried in Larien's arms, trying to hide from the Spinarak.

Larien didn't flinch when the Cleffa jumped into her arms. She could see Spinarak wasn't trying at all to scare the baby pokemon. But that wasn't working. Spinarak's abdomen pattern frowned now and the waving stopped. Larien glanced over to him, noticing that. "Cleffa?" She asked the baby pokemon. "That Spinarak's not gonna hurt you. I promise. He's friendly. He was just really really curious as to what was running around and got a bit excited." She added with a friendly little smile to reassure the baby pokemon.

She reached gently for another Oran berry in her bag. "Here. Hungry? It's an Oran Berry. I have a few more if you'd like something different." She showed Cleffa the inside of her bag where a smaller leather pouch of mixed berries was nestled amongst other things.

Her Spinarak waited quietly. He was a little hurt that the baby pokemon disliked him. But he could also somewhat understand. He had chased it. But he had hoped that the baby pokemon realized that he wasn't going to hurt it. As Larien explained again why he did what he did, the spider watched the left berry on the ground. Maybe he could go eat that? Show Cleffa he wasn't going to hurt it? No, that'd scare the baby even more. He'd eat the berry later if it was still there.

The Mareep stepped back after being hit by the sand a little, closing its eyes and giving out a scared bah almost. The light got a little brighter before the sheep had an idea. Now would be a good time to run. Right? But the scared pokemon soon saw a shape coming through the sand. The Gible!! "Mareep!!" The pokemon shouted to scare off the attacking pokemon as it tried to move away. The land-shark pokemon landed a hit on the sheep's side. The sheep tumbled a little from the force but righted itself, knowing now it was going to have to battle. Fine then. A sheep-growl came from the small pokemon in order to possibly lower the Gible's want to attack it before the Mareep charged at the Gible itself. The light in its tail dimmed now.

Florent knelt down and held out a pink poffin for Cinccino as the pokemon approached. He realized he should have made more before setting off on his journey, though there would be plenty of time to cook some more at the next town's Pokecenter -- and maybe even learn how to make treats from other regions. At least his words had some effect in persuading the pokemon, and he smiled as well. "It's a sweet poffin," he explained, with a calm but nervous voice. "It's made with Pecha berries."

Chikorita, on the other hand, seemed a little irritated that it didn't have the chance to battle, and that this other pokemon was hoarding the attention of her trainer. Annoyed, but figuring that Florent wasn't paying attention to her anyway, the grass pokemon poked its head into Florent's bag, which was on the ground beside him, to rummage for more treats. Several items poured out of the bag during Chikorita's struggle to get itself unstuck from it, including Florent's silver keys, his shiny pocket mirror, and the spare pokeballs given to him by the professor.

Skorupi dug her claws into the ground, but was still flung back by the attack. "Skor!" She made an angry chittering noise and sent a death glare in the Spinda's direction - a Leer, Dana realized. "Um, alright..." He was panicking a little. He'd studied some battle techniques before starting his journey, but nothing had said anything about facing an unpredictable foe like this. He fumbled for his Pokedex. Wasn't there something about Skorupi that...oh! "Skorupi, use Bite! Get in close and don't let it escape!" He looked down at Skorupi's entry - yes, the scorpion Pokemon never let go of its prey after getting a hold on it. Skorupi narrowed her eyes, trying to predict where the Spinda was headed next, then lunged again, aiming her fangs at its neck.

The Cleffa sniffed on Larien's arms, it was still ascared, the spider was still around. It looked at the girl, she insisted the Spinarak had no ill intentions against it, but it couldn't believe that just yet. The pokemon turned its attention to the berry the girl offered, it seemed tasty, maybe it could grab a bite or two from the berry before that spider attacked again? "clef clef" it said a little more calmed, the oran berry in its hands. The Cleffa looked around as it munched on the berry, none of its friends were around, maybe they got ascared of that spider as well? Well, right now it was more worried about staying away from that Spinarak.

The Minccino smield as it was offered yet another treat, a pink poffin from the trainer, this was turning on its side, it had tamed this human. "cin cin!" it chirped happy as it put the poffin in its mouth. But as it took a bit from the poffin, Minccino noticed the wide variety of shiny stuff the trainer carried on his backpack, of course it was all thanks to the Chikorita, but it couldn't let the chance to polish those keys and mirror get away. The chinchinlla put the poffin in its mouth and ran to the backpack, taking the cattered stuff, it polished the keys first, taking all the dirt from them, and they did have a lot of dirt. Minccino smiled happy as it saw the keys shining, putting them on a patch of grass nearby. It then noticed the pokeballs and the mirror, the pokeballs looked interesting, but it was clear for Minccino that the mirror was the most shiny from them all so it rushed to the mirror, and snatching it, it used its tail to clean it, over and over, cleaning the shiny mirror like there was no tomorrow, it was clearly excited about this mirror.

The dizzy Spinda tried to avoid the Skorupi's Bite, but clumsy as it was, it instead walked right to it, lucky Spinda recieved the Bite from the pokemon on its left arm instead of its neck where it was aimed. Spinda cried in pain, that hurt, but that pain also allowed it to strength its Uproar, which it used on the Skorupi, this timeat closer distance and stronger power, it must hurt more now.

Kaiser

Kaiser smiled as Gible's attack landed succesfully, it was a good sign. Kaiser saw how the Mareep's tail glow started to go lower, if it was in ome sort an indicator fo its health like Charmander's was, then they would win this battle soon. Gible recieved the Growl, unfazed about it, it just cried a confident "gible" to his trainer as if asking for a command. Kaiser smiled, he knew they could land a more powerful attack from a a shorter distance, specially now that, if he was correct, the Mareep was growing weak. "Gible, ran to it and use a Tackle!" he called. Gible nodded and ran as fast as he could to the Mareep, lowering his left shoulder aiming to hit it with his full body.

Larien smiled a little more as the Cleffa began to eat the Oran Berry. She could tell that the baby pokemon was still worried about Spinarak but didn't really know how else to prove that the spider wasn't going to hurt it. Unless he came over. Which Larien didn't think would be a good idea.

She could see her starter was also a little putout about the whole experience. Probably a bit sad that he didn't get a berry either. "Hey Cleffa... I'm gonna share one of the berries I've got with my pokemon. K?" She asked politely, more informing the small pokemon what she was going to do so it would at least know and possibly not be scared.

Carefully Larien took out a Leppa Berry and tossed it lightly over to Spinarak. The spider pokemon didn't move, not wanting to get his trainer hurt by scaring the baby pokemon. The Leppa Berry landed behind him a bit and bounced, but went no further. Since it wasn't near Cleffa, he could eat it. Right? This was a little weird for him. But he could see that Larien seemed to have a plan, or she wouldn't be doing this. She was his trainer after all. She cared about him. That he could tell. But how much was still left to be said.

Regardless, the spider pokemon slowly moved to the Leppa Berry and turned his back on the Cleffa and Larien. His abdomen turned into a happy face mostly for show, since the berry was made somewhat quick work of due to the smaller size. But he didn't turn around when he was finished. He was curious now to see what Larien was going to do with him not being so near to them.

Larien rested her free hand back near her bag as Cleffa ate the Oran Berry. "I've got plenty more of those if you'd like. Or I can get you another berry... or let you pick one if you want." She added, taking out the bag of berries slowly so she wouldn't scare the Cleffa with the movement.

The Mareep and Gible collided head on from each other's Tackles. The small sheep pokemon went flying backwards as the Gible fell a little from the impact. "Reeeeeep" The sheep called out in surprise and some pain. The tail-glow of the bulb started again as small streams of electricity flowed from its fluff as now tried to use Thunder Wave in order to maybe paralyze the pokemon if the contact from its static-charged fluff didn't do the trick. It hoped that Gible would succumb to the paralyzation and not be able to move. But just in case, the sheep ran at the other pokemon for another Tackle rather quickly in an attempt to catch them off guard.

Cleffa didn't knew exactly what to do when the girl put it down to feed the Spinarak. Afraid it could attack it, Cleffa hid behind Larien's leg and watched how the Spinarak turned around to munch on its food. Cleffa breathed relieved, the spider pokemon seemed more worried about the food than it was about the baby pokemon. Feeling a bit more of easiness, Cleffa walked out of Larien's shadow, still afraid, but trying to control itself, maybe the girl was telling the truth, maybe the spider pokemon wasn't going to attack it. "clef" said the small baby pokemon with a nod, getting Larien's attention, it seached through the bag and took another berry, slowly eating it, feeling more secure with the girl as time passed. Once it was done with the food, Cleffa turned to Spinarak, the pokemon was still giving its back to its trainer and the baby pokemon. "clef clef?" asked Cleffa to Larien, poiting at the Spinarak, maybe it also wanted another berry? Of course, it was nto going to give it one, but maybe the girl could.

Gible shook his head as he fell on the ground, that was unexpected, but it would take more than that to defeat him. "gible!" he cried determined. Kaiser miled, he could see Gible was resilient, the trainer prepared to word a command for the small shark like pokemon, but he was shut when the electricity coming from the Mareep's tail got to Gible in a clear attempt to Paralize him with a Thunder Wave. Kaiser smiled he knew that even if the attack landed, it wouldn't affect Gible due to his Ground Typing. "ok Gible, now use another Sand Attack!" the trainer called Gible nodded, scratching the ground and shooting sand towards the coming mareep, he knew that would make Mareep's accuracy go lower, giving Gible a chance to dodge the attack. "now Gible, move! don't let it hit you and then use a Tackle!" he called. Gible nodded, prepared to dodge Mareep's attack and counter it with a Tackle on his own.

"You like shiny things, don't you?" Florent said to Minccino as the pokemon was happily polishing his mirror. He wanted to say the wild pokemon was almost as vain has he was, although he wasn't sure if it was in love with its reflection, or just the mirror itself.

Minccino seemed to have a great time cleaning, unlike a certain sister, he thought with a smile. "The ribbons and badges we can earn across the region are pretty glittery, you know?" Florent started rambling, while helping Chikorita and its distressed cries out of his bag, and picking up his keys, "I don't have any of my old contest ribbons with me, but I'm sure I'll be able to earn some new ones soon!"

Florent stood up, stretched, and yawned. "What I'm offering really, Minccino, is the chance for you to become a star."

Once Wing-wings had finished the berry, he turned back to the Stunky. The little bit of poison he had inhaled was gone now. The berry seemed to have cured it. Taking position, he waited for Icarus to give orders. Wing-wings sighed. He was apprehensive. What if he got hurt bad? He was usually easily frightened, but this battle was scarier than anything he'd ever had to do. He resigned himself to the fact that he would have to battle a lot now that he had a trainer, and growled at the Stunky threateningly.

Icarus watched the situation."Hmm.." He looked around. "Wing-wings, use quick attack to move around him fast. Get him dizzy, and then tackle him once he looks dazed enough." Wing-wings nodded and sped forward, past the Stunky. He quickly turned and made another move, flying circles around the Stunky rapidly.

Larien noticed the Cleffa pointing to Spinarak in a question. She could see it was a little weary about the spider still but considered it might be wondering if her pokemon was still hungry. "Ok. Let's see..." She tossed over an Oran Berry to Spinarak, who watched it land in front of him without turning around. He moved over to it, the happy face becoming happier.

"See Cleffa... my Spinarak honestly didn't mean to scare you. Or, well eat you as you might've figured. He's very friendly... and really kinda shy sometimes." She chuckled a little. The spider had character- that was for sure.

But Larien became a little more serious, glancing to her pokeballs for a second that had been put into view once the berry pouch was removed. "Hey, Cleffa... I know this might be a little odd for you... but..." She paused, wondering if now would be a good time. "Would you like to join my team? I'll promise Spinarak will be good." She looked at the Cleffa with a slight smile. Hopeful. "We both would really like to have you on our team." She added and didn't notice that Spinarak's pattern became the happiest she'd seen it yet. Probably in response to maybe having Cleffa join them. He would like to have a new friend on the team and the baby pokemon didn't seem so bad. A little scared, but nice.

Larien slowly took out a pokeball and set it on the ground- not wanting to pressure the baby pokemon to do anything it didn't want. "All you gotta do is hit this little button in the middle...."

The Mareep shot through the cloud of dust as it was kicked up. It closed its eyes to not be blinded and waited a few seconds before opening them. No Gible. What it did find was a tree closer to the edge of the grass that it nearly ran into.

Skidding to a hault, the Mareep didn't realize the Gible was attacking it. The side-tackle landed a hard hit to its side, sending them both tumbling into the ground. "Mareeeep!!!" The sheep baahed, using Growl again as a precaution. It waited a second for the rolling to stop before trying to awkwardly tackle the Gible on top of it.

Florent

Minccino was smiling as it was enjoying polishing the mirror, ithad never had something this shiny to polich before, but something the trainer said caught its attention "The ribbons and badges we can earn across the region are pretty glittery, you know?" Minccino turned to the human, its eyes wide open, full of hopes and dreams. The pokemon did not cared at all about the next thing Florent said, it was instead excited about the idea of having several more things to polish, and if they were as glittery as the human was offering, this was an opportunity it could not let pass! "min minc! minccino!" the pokemon cried out excited, almost as if saying "take me to them!" the chinchilla started hoping excited, more glittery things to polish? how could one say no to that?! of course, it would miss its collection of tin cans andpieces of disks it had found here, but it knew they were not near as glittery as it wanted, the keys from the boy were at last twice as glittery as any of its other stuff so it wasn't hard to convince it after the promise of more and more glittery stuffs in the future.

Now you can try to catch it... chance are it will follow you without hesitation.

Icarus

"stunk!" cried the skunk as it heard the boy's strategy, it would take more than that to defeat it... at least in Stunky's mind. The bird flew past Stunky a couple times, Stunky knew it had to stop it so it tried to Scratch the pokemon as it flew by a couple times, failing misserably. Frustrated Stunky tried to follow the Starly with its eyes, only resulting in dizzy. The pokemon's eyes now ressebled more that of a Spinda than its own, giving te Starly an opportunity it was not going to waste. Stunky's clumsy steps made it an easy prey for the bird's attack, which landed a succesful Tackle on Stunky's right side, sending the skunk rolling several feet on the ground. The dizzy skunk tried to incorporate itself to counter, having a lot of trouble to do so. Stunky glared at the Starly at the same time it used Focus Energy to strength itself. Slowly and dizzy steps approached Stunky to the Starly, barely landing a Scratch on the bird's chest as it flew up in the air, the still dizzy stunky groaned angered, it wanted to get rid of this pokemon soon, but it was become harder by the second to do so.

A loud "bzz!" was heard as the Ledyba was hit by yet another Sonic Boom. The bug struggled to recover, hardly hovering in the air, it was not going to take much more damage, yet it was not going to surrender now. The lady bug heard the Growl but even then it didn't stopped, it launched itself against the Buizel, but due to its weakened state, its aim was far from its best and barely managed to hit Buizel's right arm with its Tackle before having to stop on the ground, panting heavily but still willing to battle.

Larien

The Cleffa seemed to smile when it saw the Spinarak wasn't going to attack it again at least not for now. The baby pokemon chirped a happy "clef" when it saw the bug was eating the berry, it was right, the spider was hungry after all. It then turned to the girl, she offered to join them, Cleffa wasn't sure what that meant, but it was growing attached to the girl. "clef clef!" it nodded happily while hugging Larien's leg, its way to say yes. As soon as the girl set a pokeball on the ground, the natural curiouity of the baby pokemon forced it to go check what it was, after all, it had never seen one before, maybe it was a gift from the girl for having joined them? "Clef?" it said inquisitively, pressing the button in the middle of the pokeball. Suddenly the spher enveloped the baby pokemon in a red light, sucking Cleffa inside of it. Once inside the spheric device, Cleffa got ascared, making the ball shake violently, but being a baby pokemon, it had not enough strength to battle it and soon the ball stopped, Cleffa had been caught!

"gible!" the small land shark cried, as he recieved Mareep's attack. Gible was sent backwads from the now seemingly weakened sheep and much to his luck, he landed sit. Kaiser smiled, it was a funny image to see Gible rolling backwards and landing on his butt. "now Gible, take this chance and use another Tackle!" the trainer called, he knew this was getting too repetitive, but Gible didn't knew many moves just yet, maybe after this battle he'd have to take care of that. Gible nodded and ran against the Mareep, his head-back-fin first as he dashed to the sheep, aiming to land the most powerfull Tackle he had just yet, something that would be hard to accomplish given all the Growl's the Mareep had used, but in the pokemon's head, he could still land a powerful attack.

Zein continued to travel along the Route, pulling out his Sandshrew. "So if I give you a nickname," he asked him, "would you be mad?"

"SHREW!!!!" it called, indicating a yes.

"So Imma call you Curly," Zein concluded.

The Sandshrew looked enraged, but his Duskull looked jealous, peaking out in envy, out of his bookbag, like he always did.

Zein healed his Sandshrew with a potion, spraying the purple and pink bottle on him.

Duskull seemed to be trying to learn a new move. It looked like disable. He'd just have to teach his Duskull on a wild Pokemon. Practice made perfect.

Larien smiled happily as the Cleffa joined their team. "Hopefully you don't mind this Cleffa..." She told the ball, calling Spinarak back over for a second. "Thanks buddy.... sorry if you felt left out... We'll battle another pokemon soon probably but this little one seemed really scared."

"Spina spin-rak spinarak." Spinarak said, patting Larien on the leg as if he understood why she did it. "Ok Cleffa... come on out and meet Spinarak. And don't worry- he won't hurt you." The female trainer spoke, pressing the button to send out Cleffa.

The small pokemon appeared nearby the spider, soon hiding from it again for a moment before Larien used her hands to coax her back out. "Spinarak." Spinarak greeted happily, scaring the baby for a second before it seemed to realize finally that the spider didn't attack. It didn't even seem angry. "Cleffa." The Cleffa responded back, still a little shy.

"You two are gonna work together like the best of friends. I can tell." Larien added, smiling. She packed up the rest of her things and put her bag back over her shoulder. "Now whattayasay we go see if we can find Dana and Skorupi?" Spinarak jumped a little in happiness. Maybe he could help Skorupi now. Or cheer her on if she was battling. The little Cleffa didn't know who those two people were, but Larien seemed happy about them. So they probably were good.

The little pokemon stayed on the opposite side of the spider with Larien being a buffer while the three of them began a search for Dana and Skorupi. As well as the main road they had strayed far from.

The Mareep got hit by the tackle as it was getting ready to Tackle the land-shark pokemon. The little sheep was begining to get tired of this fighting. It really just wanted to get back to the herd. Especially now, since it realized the opponent wasn't going to go away. At all it seemed.

"Mareep reep!" Mareep scolded, trying to explain what it wanted. But it could tell that the trainer probably wouldn't understand that. The Gible seemed to determined to understand it. So the sheep charged at the Gible again and missed, almost purposefully, and headed a little slower toward the trainer. Maybe it could get the trainer's pokemon to accidently hit the trainer and give up so it could get back to the herd before it got too tired.
