Pokemon: Legends Revolt

As Gwin followed her Ralts, the pokemon led her to a pond in the middle of the park. The ranting of one man caught its attention. A wild Marill had jumped into the pond and was interfering with the Magikarp Fishing Game, forcing the owner of the game to try to scare away the pokemon, soemthing that only made the wild Marill attack it with a Bubble attack, forcing the man to call for help as he had no pokemon to protect him.

 

((Just a reminder, the tournament is being heldall of its round on the same day.))

Kaiser followed the staff lady back to the arena. Once the master of ceremonies spoke the new rules, he was surprised, after having battled with Gible he was not sure to use him in the next battle, but now he was sure he had to use Venipede for the next battle. After being returned to the tent he took both his pokeballs and released both pokemon to explain the situation. Though Gible was not excited about having to watch the next battle, he was supportive to Venipede who in turn seemed confident. Kaiser smirked at his pokemon's reactions and returned to them to be prepared for his battle.

 

After the first two battles were done, the staff lady signaled him and his opponent to go to the arena. Kaiser followed and took his position in the trainer box farther to the tent he came from and hurled Venipede's pokeball in the air, releasing the pokemon for the battle to start. "be prepared Venipede, as soon as the referee calls the begginging of the battle use Defense Curl to harden your body for any coming attack" he said to the pokemon. Venipede nodded and awaited for the other boy to send his pokemon to the arena to start the battle.

Well they found the commotion the little green Pokemon had gotten excited over. There was a rather annoyed Marill, using bubble on a man and wrecking his Magicarp game. Gwin smiled at the Marill, the man WAS in its territory. The Ralts seemed happy to see it, like he had met an old friend. He tugged on the pail trainers legs until she followed him. They walked to the edge of the pond, and she slowly got on her knees. Her partner emitted calming influence, and the man and the Magicarp grew calm. "Come here little one, don't be angry" the weak trainer said softly, trembling in the cold soggy mud.

Once Opal saw the referee call the battle in their favor she jumped into Emilia's arms happily. They had won their first ever real battle together and the two couldn't be happier. Though Emilia's joy wasn't without someone else's lose and she turned to find her opponent but Cole had already made his way out.

"Oh well" She thought and hugged Opal tighter.

After the battle they both took a break waiting for the rest of the first round to finish up. It seemed that a good deal of the trainers she had left Nut Town with had made it on in the Tournament.

 

As like the first round the eight winners were lead back into the arena among the excited shouts from the crowd only to be softened by the Game Master's voice. Though she was a little unsure about the new rule forcing her to use Bellsprout as they two had never fought together before. However she knew it would be alright as they really couldn't do worst then that sloppy, yet victorious, last battle. As they were ushered out of the arena for Larien's battle Emilia spent her time studying her opponent, Dana, wondering what tricks he had up his sleeve.

 

After the first battle ended Emilia knew it was her time once again to prove she had the physical and mental skills to be a great Pokemon trainer not just what she knew from the simulator. She took her steps in stride as she made her way to the trainer's box Opal at her side and Ivy's Pokeball in her hand. Taking it she pressed the button and released the tiny vine Pokemon and knelt down in front of her.

"Alright Ivy it's your time to battle now" Emilia smiled. "Lets do our best ok?"

Ivy nodded before taking her place on the field.

Emilia noticed Dana had already sent out his Pokemon, a Spinda that didn't seem to notice them.

"Good luck to you" she called to Dana.

Icarus had chosen Grim as his pokemon to battle with. The Stunky was already out on the battlefield as the Cleffa came around. They both deemed this to be a pretty easy fight from the start.

Larien, too, had her doubts about the baby pokemon fighting the Stunky. Cleffa was pure Fairy type, while the Stunky was Poison/Dark. He had a type advantage. A move advantage too she assumed considering Cleffa only knew whatever moves she knew from the capture. Spinarak and her hadn't gotten a chance to train Cleffa in anything else.

 

So Larien took out her pokedex for a moment, shuffling through to Cleffa's name and viewing the moves she knew. There wasn't much. Pound and Charm. That was it. She looked back up to the Stunky where Icarus waited patiently for her to make her move with a wave of his hand. The signal of "you go first" without really saying it as the referee started the battle.

 

"Cleffa." The baby pokemon turned back. "Use Charm... show that Stunky how amazing you are!" Larien ordered with a cheerful smile of encouragement. The baby pokemon turned back to the Stunky as it watched her smugly. Cleffa danced a little, smiling as best it could. But the Stunky merely started to run a bit to close the gap.

"Poison Gas!" Icarus yelled as the skunk stopped. Grim turned then, expelling the gas directly around Cleffa.

The poor baby pokemon kept up the Charm but started to cough a bit. "Get outta there Cleffa! Quick!" Larien yelled as the gas cloud came closer and closer. Cleffa got out after the coughing fit started to get worse and Larien seemed worried.

 

"Cleffa.... Cleffa relax a bit. Get away from the cloud... and if another cloud is shot off.... avoid it no matter what else I tell you." She told calmly. Poison moves were super effective against Fairy types. She doubted too that the Charm actually did anything to the Stunky's attacks. Though, the skunk hadn't really attacked fully yet. Maybe Charm had done something.

 

"Cleffa... use Pound as quickly as possible!" The baby pokemon seemed shocked but ran at the skunk anyway in an attempt to hit him.
