Pokemon: Legends Revolt

Recommended Posts

Emilia's plan to distract the Bellsprout from weakening Opal's attacks had worked like a charm. The Pokemon had taken the full Ember straight on though it did not go down immediately but instead launched one final Vine Whip at Opal landing it square over her eye. She crashed too barely able to stand anymore after all the beatings she had taken.

"Well done Opal" Emilia called to her. "We won our first battle."

Opal smiled back at her trainer sharing the happy moment before they both realized the fire was spreading.

"Oh crap."

Immediately Emilia rushed over to the fallen Bellsprout saving it from the hungry flames. She then began to stomp them out as best she could but it wasn't enough so returning to her bag she laded the Pokemon next to it and grabbed her canteen. It took a good ten minutes and all of her water for Emilia to finally extinguish the fire.

"Note to self" she said panting. "Don't set the ground ablaze without a fire truck near or a water Pokemon in your party."

As she crumbled by her bag to sit and rest she remembered the wounded Pokemon. She thought Vulpix would be fine after a good rest since she only obtained bruises but the Bellsprout was another story.

"You aren't looking so good Bellsprout here let us help you" She said soothingly pressing an opened Pokeball to the Pokemon so it would be captured??

Zein watched Curly use rollout a number of more times. He was getting it down. His steering and handling was getting so much better. And he was going fast enough to do considerable amounts of damage. He would give him one more test.

"Curly," he called "Do you see those trees?"

"Shrew!" said the Sandshrew

"Use rollout to go straight through the trunks of three of them, without stopping."

The Sandshrew obeyed, leaving big holes in the trunks of the trees.

Curly had successfully learned Rollout

Spinda tottered a few steps, dodging a few of the leaves, but the rest of them and Minccino's punch sent it flying across the field. "Spiiiiin," he cried, sounding a little confused. He climbed slowly to his feet and screeched again, but not nearly as loudly - he was too winded to manage a proper Uproar.

Dana bit his lip. Spinda only knew two moves, and Tackle was a much worse option than Uproar. He had to redirect their attack somehow...Skorupi was still next to Chikorita, and the grass-type was wide open after making an attack. "Skorupi, Poison Sting again!" Skorupi made a grab for the Chikorita with both claws, trying to pin it in place, then shot another barrage of poison barbs directly at it.

It was a nice combination he pulled off, but Florent knew it had flaws. Since Chikorita didn't attack Skorupi directly, the scorpion pokemon had the chance to shower the grass-type with poisonous barbs that glowed a dangerous purple. What's more, the bug-type had clamped onto the leaf pokemon.

"Chiii-ko-ko-ko!" it cried, trying to shake out of Skorupi's grip. Its opponent was almost twice as heavy as it, though, and Chikorita was met with limited success.

Florent had to make a choice, and fast. He could let Minccino attack Spinda one more time to slow its recovery, especially since its uproar was losing power, or have the chinchilla pokemon help out Chikorita who was weakening as well. Neither plan sounded too good, but he decided to take a chance.

"Tackle and Pound! Get Spinda closer to Skorupi, Princess!" Florent reasoned that Razor Leaf's wide striking area would be more effective if Chikorita could hit both pokemon at once.

The leaf pokemon rammed into Skorupi, although not very powerfully since it was still in the scorpion's grasp. Minccino ran a wide arc, circling Spinda and trying a strike from the side to push the panda closer, or at the very least herd it into position.

((Amazingly, I was actually hoping for something like that to happen for the Venipede...))

Kaiser

Venipede was showered with dirt flying everywhere as Dragon Rage after Dragon Rage slammed into the ground all over the place. A few of those grazed its body, wounding it yet again, though the stubborn bug didn't quit. It wasn't going to let the crazed dragon and trainer get away with destroying everything. Not if it had anything to say about it!

The dirt mixture was starting to clear a bit before the Venipede made sure it was safe to move. The barrage had stopped, yet the dirt and dust still hung in the air to create some cover. The wild bug used this to its advantage, and instead of going straight at the Gible it instead walked into one of the deeper craters. It used Defense Curl first to harden its shell and attack a little more before starting moment into a Rollout. It used Rollout inside the crater, swirling around the inside of it to create a makeshift dirt-tornado from some of the moment. This didn't rise very high at all, but it added to the extra dirt and dust hanging in the air from Gible's attack.

The Venipede gained a little bit of speed as it dipped down into the middle of the crater before shooting out into the air and rolling into the next crater. Using this tactic, along with the occasional adding of more dust to the air, the Venipede made a round-about way to the Gible with a highly determined air about him. The bug was getting tired, but the stubborn wild creature wanted to go down fighting instead of waiting to make sure these two intruders understood that messing with its territory was a huge mistake.

Larien had waited long enough for her pokemon to be healed, happily having them returned to her in their pokeballs. Almost immedietly, Spinarak popped back out as soon as the pokeball touched her hand from the Nurse. He happily sat atop Larien's head as she set Cleffa's pokeball onto her belt for safe keeping. "What'ta'ya say we go see what we can do about getting you something to practice on Spinarak? And maybe Cleffa too, if she's up to it..." She patted the baby pokemon's pokeball. The young pokemon probably wouldn't be too up for fighting for a while. She was still very new, and afriad of Spinarak- not to mention still a baby pokemon and perhaps slightly too young.

But Spinarak's abdomen changed to a highly happy face. He was ready for anything as long as Larien was. The female trainer walked out of the PokeCenter after thanking Nurse Joy. "Alright Pring Town... what do you have in store for us?" Spinarak tapped her hat, causing her to stop as she stepped away from the Center. "Spina Spin Spinarak!!!" He called happily, wanting to let her know he was ready for whatever their adventure was going to take them to.

Larien smiled, patting the spider gently as she started her walk again.

((Whoa, apparently Spinda using Uproar on Minccino is a guaranteed 2HKO. WHAT THE HECK))

Skorupi held on fast and glared straight into the Chikorita's eyes. Spinda was starting to have a bad time, though - his dizzy steps brought him straight into the path of Minccino's attack, and he was knocked backward, skidding a few centimeters toward Skorupi. "Spi-i-in?" He wobbled to his feet again, frowning confusedly as if he hadn't attacked the other Pokemon just a few seconds ago.

Dana frowned. What was Florent trying to do now, getting his Pokemon closer together? He should probably prevent that from happening, but Spinda was getting weak and Skorupi was still occupied with Chikorita. Hopefully his opponent's Pokemon were wearing out too. "Tackle and Bite! Skorupi, don't let it get away!" Skorupi was questioning her trainer's choice of attack just a bit, but enthusiastically chomped at the Chikorita's neck. Spinda smiled again, and tried to slam into the Minccino in the opposite direction he'd been pushed.

Icarus

The Zigzagoon only stared at the boy before collapsing agin, it was in no position to fight with him anymore. The pokemon panted on the ground, still conscious but way too tired and hurt to do anything. The pokeball hit Zigzagoon's stomach, opening and having the red ray of light surround the short tempered racoon. Zigzagon groaned yeat anohter angered "zagoon~" before being dragegd inside the pokeball which shut and fell tot he ground, shaking violently. On the inside, Zigzagoon struggled to scape the spheric prison, almost being able a couple times, but in the end, it was way to tired and weak to succeed. Ultimately, the ball stood still, sealing Zigzagoon's fate, it had been caught.

Pokemon Caught: Zigzagoon, Female, Rash nature, around level 5

Emilia

Bellsprout tried to dodge thepokeball, but it was too hurt to do it. The pokemon was dragged inside the spherice device in a red ray of light. As the ball fell to the ground shaking, the Bellsprout was fighting inside of it to scape, but to no avail, it was in no condition to scape. The pokeball stopped, signaling Emilia's first catch, Bellsprout.

Larien

While Larien made her way through the town, she could hear a tingling noise, the girl stopped, trying to find what it was, not able to locate it on her own. Larien resumed her walk and soon heard the noise again, this time really close. Larien stopped and could see how Spinarak, who had in fact found the source of the noise previously, was holdinga Soothe Bell with his silk infron of her face.

Kaiser

Kaiser shrugged, he could tell the Venipede was really hurt, but also, the pokemon was not yet defeated. Even when he liked that in a pokemon, to display such courage, he noww wa sin a rush to end thebattle, he knew Gible needed to be attended and soon. "Gible as soon as you see it approaching release your Dragon Rage!" the trainer called. Gible didn't moved, but he heard his trainer and waited, patiently, his body trembling from the Poison. As soon as the Dragon pokemon saw the Venipede making its way towards him, he awaited for it to be just a few feet from distance to release his fully charged Dragon Rage, causing a large explosion and a cloud of smoke and dust to cover the field, making it unable for Kaiser to see what had been the outcome of the battle.

The pokeball shook for a bit longer then Emilia expected it to causing her to feel guilt. Did the Bellsprout even want to come with them? Had she now taken it away from its family? No, no time to think about that she needed to get it to a Pokemon center before its condition worsened. Besides if it felt so strongly about staying here then she could always just release the Pokemon and let her go.

Emilia quickly gathered up her things and the weakened Opal before starting off for the Pokemon center. Thankfully they weren't too far away from the town and what would have been a nice thirty minute walk turned into a ten minute dash to the center. Finally there Emilia caught her breath and entered the Pokemon center which had a faint awful smell to it. She ignored it and stepping up to the counter kindly asked the nurse to please heal her Pokemon to which Nurse Joy happily agreed. Once her part of the task was done she could finally rest and relax so instead of staying in the center she went outside to enjoy the new town. She had never really seen the town when she came running in focused more on the Pokemon center and not her surroundings but now she could and finding a park bench she sat down to rest.

((Following that logic, Gible's Dragon Rage would OHKO... everything. tongue.gif ))

That plan didn't work as well as he thought it would, but Florent decided to follow through anyway. He saw that both his pokemon were weakening, and he didn't know if he could afford to stall another turn. Dana might not have had any tactical experience, but his pokemon were strong. "Finish this quick! Helping Hand and Razor Leaf!"

Chikorita stared back at Skorupi and let out a growl under its breath. It noticed too late that it was a simple diversion, as Skorupi's mandibles had sunk into its neck. Chikorita was angry and exhausted, but its leaf glowed with renewed strength with the power of its ability. It meant that it was really an all-or-nothing attack.

Minccino wanted to sock that dumb Spinda again, though in the end it followed Florent's judgement. Blue sparks flew from its forepaws into Chikorita's leaf to energize it. The chinchilla was then knocked to the ground by a direct hit from Spinda's Tackle, and Minccino didn't seem to have the energy to get back up.

Charged by Minccino's Helping Hand and its Overgrow ability, Chikorita released the Razor Leaf attack. The leaves, each one surrounded by a beautiful blue-green glow, traveled with a speed and strength Florent hadn't seen before during their practicing. They flew towards both of Dana's pokemon and would strike Skorupi at point-blank range, but the trainer didn't think that it would do much damage to the scorpion pokemon due to Chikorita's type-disadvantage.

Florent might have to admit defeat, but his beautiful finishing move made even losing worth the experience.

Icarus threw his fist into the air."Woohoo!" He ran over to give the surprised Grim a hug, and then walked over to the pokeball. Pressing the button to send out the Zigzagoon, he used his other hand to grab a potion and spray it over the bruises. He rested the Zigzagoon's head on his lap as he fed her a berry."Grim, Wing-wings, keep guard. Make sure we don't get attacked by wild pokemon."

The Zigzagoon sighed, and closed her eyes. She heard her new trainer mutter:"I'm naming you... Tanaka." Before she fell asleep out of sheer exhaustion.

Icarus returned the tired pokemon to her pokeball. With his two other team-mates by his side, he walked through the route and finally reached the pokemon centre.

He stopped to sniff himself. The smell was still faint. The nurse offered to take Grim and Tanaka to heal up. He spotted an object on the table, with writing on it. going closer, he realised it was a form for the tournament. Smiling, he wrote his name down and waited for the two to rest up.

Chubs got up without a scratch, but Alv was still worried. "Chubs, are you okay? Are you hurt?" He asked. Chubs shook her head. "Maybe you should rest, you'll feel better." Chubs shook her head once again and concentrated on another Thunder Shock, she had a determined look on her face while she did it. And then finally, a bolt of electricity shot out through her body and into the sky. Alv stared in amazement, the whole forest would have probably seen the bolt of lightning.

"Wow." Alv said in shock. "That was... amazing." He took out a few Poffins and gave it to Chubs which she immediately accepted. "Now, return." Alf commanded. He pressed the Pokéball button in the middle and a red ray zapped Chubs back in.

Alv stood there with nothing to do,he looked around and saw nothing. Why don't I explore this place? He thought, he was pretty sure there were endless possibilities of hidden secrets, he did love exploring after all. He took a deep breath and went inside the forest.

Alv

As Alv got into the forest he could hear the sounds coming from every pokemon that lived there, some of them were scary, other were more soothing, but what had called his attention was the loud Roar that came his way. The boy turned to see who or what had Roared that way, only to see a rock coming straight to his face. All Alv could see next was the darkening sky, the object hurled at him had knocked him out for quite some time. The boy shook his head trying to clear his mind and could now see what had hit him, a stone with multiple clean edges, a Hard Stone.

The Venipede was hit by the Dragon Rage, the force of it uncurling the pokemon as it finished crossing that few feet by momentum and flying into the Gible. The pokemon seemed to groan at the impact, soon hissing as it slid off the small land-shark. The Venipede tried getting up from its half rolled-over position but struggled. It tried again, this time barely getting upright, yet it couldn't get completely off the ground. "Veenn..." It groaned, closing its eyes for a moment before it realized that was a bad thing. The trainer was still around, and so was the Gible. As the one last-ditch effort, the weak centipede fired off a small stream of Poison Sting to the Gible in hopes of at least preventing it from getting nearer.

~~~~~~~~
Larien grasped the Soothe Bell as Spinarak cut the string. "Thanks bud!" She commented, opening up a pocket in her bag and setting it admist the berry pouch she had. The spider nearly fell off her head at the sudden looking down action, though he clung onto her hat which slid over her face before she caught then both. "Spinaraak..." Spinarak commented back, wiggling his legs a little bit while on his back in her arms. Larien laughed a little, putting him back on her head without her hat. She set her hat in her bag shortly after, making sure to keep Spinarak on her head properly. "So... how do you think this competition's going to go Spinarak? I think I may just enter you... Cleffa I'm a bit unsure about. She doesn't seem too confident fighting." The spider frowned a little on his abdomen. "I don't want to scar her forever... but I might have her watch if I can." "Spinarak. Spina spinarak rak-spin." Spinarak tried reassuring Larien, understanding her concern for scarring pokemon. Cleffa didn't seem too ready to fight anything. But he climbed to her shoulder shortly after, looking at her face. "Spinarak!" He called confidently, smiling on his abdomen. He would fight the best he ever had for her during this competition, even if it was going to be their first actual battle.
"Hey, how about we try to teach you another move?" Larien thought, pulling out her Pokedex and setting it to Spinarak's data. A list showed up where Constrict would be the next move after the already known Scary Face. Spinarak read over the description of Constrict, unsure how the commonly used tenticle or vine would pertain to him. Larien seemed puzzled too. "Maybe we could use your string... or just your legs... we'll figure it out, but first we gotta find you something to use it on..." She looked around, not really spotting anything that could be attacked without getting in trouble. "Oh! Heh, I doubt it... but it won't hurt to check!" She suddenly said, quickly turning around and running back to the PokeCenter. Spinarak hung on tightly from the sharp turn, unsure of his trainer's action.
"Nurse Joy!! Would you happen to have a log or two!?" Larien called in her running, soon reaching the Center and dashing inside. It couldn't hurt to check.
Kaiser
Gible let out a cry of pain when he felt yet another Poison Sting attack hitting his body. The dragon knelt to the ground, panting heavily, he could not be able to continue much longer but on the other hand, Venipede was in worst condition. Kaiser took an empty pokeball from his pocket and while he hesitated for a momment, he pressed the button to make it go full size and hurled it at the Venipede, the centiepede had proven to be a really tough opponent and one that would not give up reasy, if it ever gave up, something he doubted, all in all, a great pokemon to add to his team. As soon as he saw the pokeball hitting the centipede, Kiaser went on to Gible, to check on his wonds. He took off the poison barb that had stuck on Gible's arm, carefull not to get poisoned himself and threw it away. "easy Gible, I'll have you be attended shrotly" he said to the pokemon. Kaiser and Gible both stared at the pokeball shaking in the ground, hoping it would settle with the Venipede inside of it, else they'd have to scape this battle, Kaiser could not risk Gible to get more hurt than he had been already.
Larien
Nurse Joy nodded and had her Chansey accompany Larien to the back of the Center, near the arena there was a bunch of bulky logs, some of them displaying cuts, burns and all kind of scars due to their use by trainers to train their pokemon. The happy egg shaped pokemon showed Larien the logs, maybe they were too heavy for Larien to carry one on her own, but Chansey was glad to help her carry it if she needed to.
Venipede felt the ball hit it and wasn't too happy about it at all. It was enveloped in a red light and soon stuck inside the pokeball. The centipede shook and shook hard, trying to make the ball open. It was too weak to do anything signifigant, but the stubborn pokemon didn't quit for a couple more tries. Soon it grew tired and the ball stopped, making a successful ping noise before laying silent. Venipede had been caught.
Larien smiled at the Chansey and went about looking for smaller logs or log fragments. She found a few fragments but nothing really that would be of use to Spinarak. But, she gave the logs a few more looks. Some of them could be used around the top mostly where a few were thinner due to wear and use. "Thanks Chansey, I think I'll be alright- that is, if I'm allowed to stay here..." She knew it was mainly a pile of logs, but Constrict wouldn't set the place on fire. "Of course... though... I could probably use a helping hand to stand a few up. And wherever it's fine to practice would be great." She added with a slight smile, somewhat sorry to cause the pokemon so much trouble to help her with a couple of logs.
Spinarak was looking around himself, climbing up a few logs to get a better view of the place. When Larien started talking the spider stopped to listen, watching Chansey. He didn't understand how big logs were going to help training in Constrict. He didn't have tenticles or vines. He had string, which could get around the logs, but his legs more than likely couldn't. Not many of them anyway.
[Hey Ryu got any idea how Roar would be used in our RP Pokemon world battles?]
It took a while for Emilia's pokemon to be fully heal which didn't surprise her since they both had a good fight. Though once they were ready she let Opal out immediately but hesitated on letting her newly caught Bellsprout out. However she eventually did hoping with bribes in hand for the best. As she expected the pokemon was resentful at first.
"You guys feeling better" she began "I picked these berries for you when the nurse was done fixing you both up."
Emilia set the berries in front of the two pokemon. Opal accepted hers happily munching into its soft skin but the Bellsprout wasn't going to give in so easily and gave a look of disapproval. This was going to be a challenge if Emilia wanted Bellsprout on the team fighting with them and not against.
"Hey come on now there's no need for that we can all be friends" she smiled pushing the berries closer.
Her smile swayed the pokemon slightly and slyly it grabbed the berry. However it didn't intended to eat it with the others and moved a couple feet away before digging in.
"One step at a time" she sighed pulling out the blue and green colored Dex she had gotten that morning to study the pokemon.
Luckily it seemed that Opal was ready to learn the move Roar causing Emilia's whole demeanor to brighten.
"Hey Opal it says you should be able to learn a new move now!"
Though Emilia was excited by this news the fox pokemon was still only interested in her food since her last meal had been interrupted and she didn't look up till it was gone. Once she had the pokemon's attention she read off the move Roar and its description. Now even Opal was intrigued and began making a high pitched mewing to start. Unfortunately for Emilia she didn't enjoy the new found attention from the people passing by and told Opal to stop till they could find a good training ground. Thankfully for them after asking Nurse Joy they were directed out back to where the center's training field was hidden. Though as she walked out on the dirt, Opal by her side and Bellsprout in her pokeball, Emilia noticed another trainer already there with her Spinarak.
"Hello" she called "Hopefully we won't disturb you too much."
Spinda was sent flying, bouncing off Dana's leg and landing at his feet. He struggled halfway to his feet - then promptly fell on his face, exhausted. Skorupi fared better, since the move was not very effective on both of her types, but the force of the leaves at point-blank range pushed her away from the Chikorita, freeing it from her grip. She tumbled onto her back and quickly rolled over, jumping back to put a bit of distance between them. Even Dana had to duck to one side to avoid a stray leaf. Despite the damage that had done, he was grinning. He'd watched a lot of coordinator battles and they always found incredibly creative ways to use their Pokemon's moves - and Florent managed it, even with just two Pokemon at low level. "Wow. That was amazing!" He recalled Spinda; the both of them would have to head to the Pokemon Center again after this. "Chikorita has Overgrow, right? And combined with Helping Hand, I think that did a fair bit of damage even to Skorupi." Skorupi stared at him in disbelief, and huffed. It was true, but it would be a cold day in hell before she'd admit that. "Sorry - I'm rambling. But we're pretty much done, right? That was my first trainer battle, actually. I'm so glad we met." Skorupi, seeing that she wasn't going to get any more action, rolled her eyes and scuttled back to Dana, climbing into his hair and staring at the Chikorita moodily.
Kaiser
Kaiser smield as he saw the pokeball stopping. He turned to Gible who let out a sigh of relief before collapsing exahusted. Kaiser returned Gible to his pokeball and went on to grab Venipede's pokeball and put them both in his belt. The young trainer packed the rest of his things and returned to the road leading to Pring Town. He turned back to see the hole filled area where Gible adn Venipede's battle had taken place, he smiled, someone for sure would hate to see the area in this condition, but it just proved how strong and fierce his pokemon could be in a battle.
It took him about an hour to arrive at Pring Town, the sun was close to setting now buthe had arrived to his destination. Kaiser looked around the town, it seemed like an interesting place, but for now he had only one thing in mind, to have his pokemon healed. The boy went over to the Pokemon Center and gave his two pokeballs to the Nurse Joy, he knew it would take some time to have them healed, after all, Gible had been Poisoned. So, he took the time to go explore the town, a good idea since the Pokemon Center was for some reason rikking and he did not want to stay inside anymore.
Chansey helped stand upright a log Larien selected for her before leaving once it was sure Larien didn't need anymore help. That was about the time Emilia came around. "No you're fine." Larien commented with a friendly smile as she took out her pokedex again. "Spinarak and I were just going to try and learn Constrict." She added absentmindely, realizing Spinarak wasn't where he had been a moment ago.
The playful spider had spotted the Vulpix before Larien noticed the trainer and had watched then come to the training area. He had gotten off the log and made his way behind a few others to hide from the new trainer and Vulpix for a moment. Once the two got closer, the spider jumped out at Vulpix with a small cheerful "Spinarak!" being called. He landed in front of the fox pokemon and waved, his abdomen happy as Larien jumped slightly from the shock.
"We're not scaring everyone Spinarak..." She picked up the spider quickly as his pattern got a little bigger in smile. "Sorry." She added, apologizing to the trainer and Vulpix both. "My name's Larien. This little prankster here is Spinarak...."
"I see" Emilia replied returning the smile.
Like Larien she became confused by the pokemon's disappearance since she knew she had seen it only a moment before when they had entered the field. Though her question was soon answered as the Spinarak appeared in front of Opal nearly making the fox's heart stop and raising just about every hair along her spine. Emilia let out a sigh of relief laughing at the joke but it took her pokemon a good deal of time to lick and pat her fur back down.
"It's fine It's fine" Emilia laughed. "Nice to meet you both I'm Emilia and this is my starter Opal."
As she introduced herself she picked up her pokemon stroking her fur.
"We were just about to learn Roar, right little one."
Vulpix nodded but never took her eyes off Spinarak giving him a "I'll get you back for that" stare to which Emilia quickly stifled.
"Now now we're all friends here and that was only a joke Opal so i want you to be nice." she scolded the Vulpix before commenting on the Spinarak. "They are very interesting pokemon, we had a couple back at my father's lab and i just love the facial expressions they can make."
Emilia flipped through her journal till she found the picture of two smiling spinaraks and their mother Ariados, one of the many pictures she had in there, and handed it to Larien smiling.
Larien took the picture, allowing Spinarak to look too. "We have them where I grew up out in the wild... they're pretty dangerous and territorial usually." She glanced up at the small spider, who seemed to shrug. "Johto has that reputation though... there's a couple pretty dangerous pokemon native there." She shruged it off. Dangerous pokemon were normal in Johto, and really almost every region you went to. "But these look pretty healthy if you ask me." She handed the photo back as Spinarak jumped down to her shoulder. He poked her in the neck lightly, soon climbing down her arm and to her bag. Rummaging around for a few seconds, he managed to pull out a case before she shoved it back into the bag without looking down. Now wasn't the time to show badges even though the spider had seemed interested in the thought when she had mentioned it before.
Giving up on that, Spinarak moved on toward the log.
"Go on, give it a try... uh... how about with your string Spinarak? Maybe we could combo it with your legs later... once we get the String Constict down." Larien suddenly said, focusing on starting to train her pokemon for the moment. She hadn't forgot about Emilia though.
Kaiser
While he walked through the town, Kaiser could see the large tent that was being raised to house the tournament for the next day. Intrigued by what else there could be around, he approached the park. After watching the large screen that would be used to display the pairing for the battles, he walked to a large table with lots of evolutionary stones, every stone he knew was there, but what caught his attention was the large cylinder covered by a blanket on the top and the three disks right infront of it, he could only guess those were the prizes for the winner. Before Kaiser could take a closer look at the table, he was forced out of the park by the two large Machokes that were guarding the prizes table.
Kaiser smiled as he made his way back to the Pokemon Center "I guess I'll just have to wait 'till tomorrow to see what those things were" he thought to himself. Upon entering to the Pokemon Center, Nurse Joy called for him, his pokemon were ready and he could take them. Kaiser nodded and tookboth pokeballs, putting them on his belt "where can I sign up for the tournament?" he asked to the nurse. The cheerful woman smiled and gave him a digital tablet "well here of course, just fill out this form" she said. Kaiser nodded and filled things out, he was intrigued by the three slots for pokemon, he didn't thought somebody would have three pokemon already, after all, he had a lot of trouble getting a second one, he could eb wrong though. Kaiser filled two of the three slots, one for Gible and one for Venipede. Once he was ready he clicked the "Sign Up" button and returned the tablet to Nurse Joy. "thanks" he said before he made his way out of the Pokemon Center to find a place to train his pokemon.
Florent grinned as well. He beamed with pride when Dana congratulated him on his combination. Personally, he thought that Chikorita could have made its moves more graceful, but in the end, he decided that the move's power was an equally good trait. "Yeah, Overgrow. Gotta consider abilities when training pokemon. I'm glad that we met too. That wasn't a bad match, and my first in this region."
Beaten by a bug again, he added to himself.
"I'm proud of you two for your first battle," Florent told his two pokemon. Chikorita was sitting on its belly to catch a moment's rest, while Minccino rolled over to acknowledge its trainer. "Let's get you two healed!" Florent held out the two pokeballs, and both pokemon were returned in a beam of red light. Chikorita smirked back at Skorupi before vanishing into the pokeball; it knew that if it weren't for a bad matchup, it would have stomped the scorpion pokemon into the ground.
Florent made his way to the pokemon center, and handed his pokemon to the nurse, who simply looked amused -- probably since he just got his pokemon healed not too long ago. While waiting, he asked Dana, "So, you're entering tomorrow's tourney too? Best of luck to you. I'm just curious to see what the grand prize is."
Icarus picked up the pokeballs and thanked the nurse. He then went outside to practice for the tournament."Grim, go take a rest. Wing-wings is gonna take care of this." Grim nodded and sat down in the shade of a tree.
Tanaka stared at them as Icarus tried to explain the move."I want you to charge at the tree and-" Before his sentence was complete, Tanaka had crashed into the tree and sent pieces of bark flying. "Dammit Tanaka, I wasn't done. Don't be so rash." She blushed and nodded sheepishly. Wing-wings went closer and chirped, trying to explain the move. After hearing it for a while, Tanaka head-butted the tree. Instantly falling to the ground, she cried out in pain."It's alright, you'll get it eventually." Icarus said, as he rubbed the sore spot on her head to comfort her.
"Oh, yeah!" Dana snapped his fingers. "I still need to sign up for that. Can I do that now?" He asked the nurse as he handed her his Pokemon. She nodded. "Just a sec." She ducked into a back room for a few seconds before coming back with a tablet and pen. "Fill this in, and you'll be all set." Dana took it with a quick "thank you" and looked down at the form.
"Is the grand prize that covered thing outside on the table? I didn't really get a good look at it," he said, as he tried to both hold the tablet and take his Pokedex out at the same time. He settled for putting the tablet on the counter as he checked the Pokedex for his trainer number. "Yeah, I'm curious about that too. I guess we'll find out tomorrow." He frowned. There were three Pokemon slots. Oh well - he'd be at a disadvantage with only two, but it would be good experience. He wasn't really expecting to win.
"Alright, I'm done," he said, handing the tablet back to the nurse. "So... the tournament isn't until tomorrow and our Pokemon are going to take a while to recover. D'you know if there are any good hotels around here?"
