Pokemon: Legends Revolt

Icarus cheered and ran over to Wing-wings. He picked up the elated bird and hugged him, careful not to touch his injuries. As the girl left, he called out: "Hey! That was a good battle, thank you."

Wing-wings chirped in joy. It was his first win against another trainer. He fell asleep in Icarus' arms and was returned to his pokeball. He just needed rest for now, the injuries wouldn't cause any trouble.

Tanaka shook the pokeball again. The battle was over, and she wanted to join the next one. Icarus chuckled and sent her out. "Sorry Grim, she won't wait any longer." The excited racoon ran laps around his feet to release some pent-up energy. "Tanaka, calm down. The next round hasn't started yet!"

Mudkip let out a cry of pain as it got Bitten by the purple scorpion, that was an unexpected attack, and proved to be very effective. The small mud fish ran in circles a few times before her trainer could stop it. "come on Mudkip, don't let that attack beat you, use Mud-Slap!" the girl called. Mudkip stopped and nodded, though being no place to find mud, it was clear ithadto create its own mud. Mudkip let out a powerfull Water Gun on the ground, creating a rather big puddle that mxed with the dirt of the arena creating mud.

The mud fish jumped to the muddy water, forcing the skorupi to let it go before getting into the water, creating the perfect chance for Mudkip's attack. The water starter turned to thepurple scorpion and digging its front paws on the mud, it started throwing shot after shot of mud to it. Natalie cheered happy, he tactic had worked.

Alv

Pansear was still running passed the electric mouse when its trainer called his orders, a Tackle attack. "Pansear watch out!" Dave called as he saw the smaller Dedenne rushing at Pansear, though it was too late to dodge, the fire monkey let out a cry of pain as it was struck in the back by the Dedenne's Tackle. But it was not over, as soon asPansear turned around to face his attacker, he recieved a Thundershock head on, no way to dodge or even cover from it. Dave grinded his teeth, he didn't liked that, Pansear was laying on the ground, almost numb and the referee had already started counting to declare the victor.

"Pansear, get up, we have to show them we are stronger!" the boy called annoyed at Alv. Pansear got up, struggling. It stood before its opponent, determination in his eyes as his trainer called his next move "Incinerate" the boy said. Pansear hesitated for a second before nodding, he trusted his trainer. The pokemon opened his mouth to reveal a large flame forming in it and with a loud growl, almost roar, it released the large flame on the field. The intense heat covered Pansear entirely, though as it reached Dedenne, it stopped. Incinerate had managed to dealsome damage to theelectric mouse though it was not enough as it was supposed to, but Pansear was not yet mastered this move and was way too weak to be able to control it.

The fire monkey knelt to the ground panting, he knew he had not succeeded at his attack, though he managed to deal some damage to his foe, hopefully it was going to be enough to win... hopefully, else next turn would be his last.

(I guess I covered all the replies needed, if I missed somebody else, please let me know in the OOC Thread.))

The flames charred Chubs badly, but it wasn't enough to burn her. She staggered around, her whole body trembling with pain. "Chubs!" Alv shouted. "Are you alright?" He wished that he had called his Buizel out instead of her. Chubs closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and puffed her chest out. "Ded." She confirmed. Alv smiled and turned back to Dave's Pansear. "One more shot ought to do it!' He said. "Chubs, use Thundershock!" Chubs clenched her fist and concentrated hard. "De- Denne!" A huge bolt shot out of her and hit the Pansear. As this happened, Alv knew that they could beat the whole tournament.

Gwin watched in awe, that Dedennes electric attacks where stunning. These trainers seemed to be beginners, like herself, but they all handled their pokemon well. As Sin cheered, he levitated out of his hard stadium seat. "Do you think we could meet them buddy" She inquired of her partner Ralts. Sins tiny face lit up with a smile as he nodded, he gently helped her up out of her seat, and they walled together through the crowd, to the entrance to the field. They got there just in time, to see the exsausted opponent try one more time to burn the cute orange mouse, but it seemed to avoid the damage. The small pokemon let out another shock, and Sin cheered it on.

Skorupi had just recovered from being thrown off when the Mudkip began to fling blobs of mud at her. The first one struck her straight on. "Skrup!" She shook her head to get rid of it, but the second shot hit her and blinded her again. "Run to the side, Skorupi!" Dana called. She complied, stumbling in an arc toward her left, dodging most of the other shots - but the ones that hit left her short of breath.

Dana clenched his fists in worry. The mud was more worrisome than water attacks - it could blind Skorupi, and then she would be an easy target. Skorupi was clawing at her face now, trying to scrape the rest of the mud off. The only thing was that they required the Mudkip to prepare the arena first... if only Skorupi knew Sand-Attack. "Alright, Poison Sting. Try - try to get it away from the mud!" Skorupi scowled (she wasn't done cleaning; hopefully she'd get a nice bath after this) but complied, crouching and shooting the stings slightly upward, hoping to knock the Mudkip away.

Emilia was throw a bit back by Cole's reply. She opened and closed her mouth like she was going to respond but was unsure of how to react. The other trainer however didn't seem bothered by his tone and moved on with starting the battle by sending out his Murkrow. It seemed as though everything but the bird Pokemon slowed when it dived in for the Peck attack. The Murkrow was quick and it seemed to like taunting its opponent, a bad combination as Opal could be easily swayed into rash decisions when things annoyed her. Emilia had seen that first hand when Ivy had marked Opal's fur in their battle.

"Alright Opal counter with ember" Emilia called.

Opal quickly reply to the taunts by sending hundreds of flaming hot embers towards it.

Alv

Dave watched impotent how the Dedenne's attack reached Pansear. The boy lowered his head as he heard the lightning striking down his pokemon. The fire monkey letout a loud cry of pain before collapsing on the gorund fainted. The referee raised his handon Alv's side "Pansear can no longer fight, Dedenne and Alv are the winners!" he called. The crowd roared and as everyonewas focused on the boy's victory, Dave took Pansear's pokeball and returned him to it "congratulations" he murmured before leaving the arena for the participants tent, he was not in the modd to stay and watch his opponent celebrating their victory.

Dana

Both Mudkip and Natalie were smiling happily, they had the upper hand in this battle. The girl was so immersed in her yet-to-be-called-victory that she didn't evenntoiced the Skorupi attacking again. Mudkip turn to her trainer "kip kip!" thepokemon called, though Natalie was absent mind, not knowing what to do, Mudkip only Grolwed at the scorpion, not managing to do much. The poisonous barbs flewtowards the mudfish, though due to Skorupi's lack of sight, most of them passed by Mudkip, only a couple of them hit the pokemon, but one of them hurt Mudkip badly. One of the poison barbs hit Mudkip on its head fin, and being this the sensitive point it was for the pokemon, Mudkip crouched on the ground, crying in pain, covering itself with mud to ease the pain.

Emilia

Emilia's plan worked well, though it did not stop Murkrow's attack. The bird sucesfully Pecked the fox, though in the process it got scorched by the Ember. Cole looked thoughtful "Astonish" he called. Murkrow nodded and started flying towards the fox, this time, moving faster to prevent a retaliation. Once the bird was hit range of the Vulpix it released a loud and odd cry, adding a wierd looking face ebfore flying back to the air, a move not made to deal a lot ofdamage but more to startle and flinch the foe.

"Thanks!" Alv said happily. "You did well too!" But Dave had already headed back to the tent. Alv shrugged, picked up Chubs and held him up in the air, making the crowd cheered once more. The Dedenne was enjoying the victory and waved at the crowd, so was Alv, but he noticed a girl a small distance away from him cheering at him. He put Chubs down and walked towards the girl. "Hey!" He called to her. "How are you?" Alv couldn't believe it, he already had a fan!

((Don't be offended, Alv is just a bit arrogant.))

The pale trainer and her loyal Ralts got to the field as the match was ending. Sin watched, stunned, as the final electric attack hit, And cheered when the opponent was knocked out. "That Dedennes attacks are something huh partner? Maybe you can learn something shocking from it" Gwin, trying not to giggle at the pun. Sin "broadcasted" happy thoughts as the winning trainer approached where the duo where standing. Gwin got over excited and spoke in a rush "Y-Your pokemon are trained quite well, that last attack was powerful enuf to run a plant" Then she slowed down, and thought about what the trainer said to her. Oh hi, I am Gwin, and this is Sin." She said nervously, holding out her trembling hand to shake. The little Ralts copied his trainer, and held out his hand to the mouse Pokemon.

"Oh, come on." Alv smiled. "Don't be nervous, I won't bite." He gladly accepted her handshake and so did Chubs with Sin's handshake, Chubs squeaked in delight when she shook hands with the Ralts, happy that she had made a new friend. "I'm Alv, by the way." He said. "This is Chubs, my Dedenne, but my strongest Pokémon is Flots, my Buizel." Alv took out a Pokéball and sent his Buizel out. "Bui!" Flots barked. He was in a braced formation, and growled at Sin, thinking that Gwin was the next opponent. "Whoa!" Alv shouted, "Easy boy, this isn't a competitor, this is a new friend." He then turned back to Gwin. "We should get out of the arena, the next battle is coming." Alv walked back to where all the competitors were, signalling Gwin the follow.

The trainer, Alv accepted Gwins handshake. He told her that the electric pokemon, Ĉhubs, was not even hos strongest! Sin started getting nervous when the trainer reached for his pokeball, with good reason. The light quicky materialized into a snarling Buizel. Sin growled harshly, and his outline starter to blur into two separate Ralts. The small trainer blinked "I guess its time for you to learn double team". Alv ordered his pokemon to stand down, and when he did the little Ralts felt no hostility and quit tying to defend his trainer. The other trainer singled they should follow him off the field, so Gwin and Sin cheerfully followed him.

"Sorry about Sin, he is quite protective of me" Gwin said as she handed the fairy type some berrys. Sin promptly tried to give some to Alvs Pokemon. "Hes quite friendly really, but he dose like to battle."

Tyler had been late to Nut Town, and eventually late to Pring Town. "Bergmite come on out." The small Ice Chunk pokemon came out of its spherical trap. They were facing a small clearing in a forest outside of Pring. It was around noonish. " Lets practice your Powder Snow." The blue pokemon chirped in reply.

It summoned a chilling wind and several snowflakes appeared. The snowflakes flew towards the practice tree. Except, the wind disappeared halfway and only a few white flakes hit the tree. "Berg-gg," the sad reply came from the Bergmite.

"Its perfectly fine, Icy. You can't learn a new move immediately." Icy's face changed to a expression, which was a smile. "And eventually, you won't have to work so hard to summon a breeze, because you can just summon the snow and launch it." Tyler swung his back around on should so it landed on his lap, yet a strap was still on his shoulder. He unzipped the grey pack and brought out a blue bowl and a pack of specially made food. "Here is the new type of food I mixed up for you from the PokèMart. Enjoy, its made for ice types."

Opal did well hitting the Murkrow with her embers but was still knocked back by the unavoidable Peck attack. Though unfortunately once she had regained her feet their opponent had already made his move. Opal about jumped from her skin when she saw the Murkrow's Astonish as it completely caught her off guard.

"Opal use Roar to scare it off" Emilia called.

The Vulpix however didn't hear or was too distracted and began twitching as though she had the hick-ups, flinched.

"Please Opal you have to snap out of it."

Emilia needed to find a way to break Opal from her condition or she risked loses the battle and possible her confidence as a trainer.

Dana blinked and fumbled for his Pokedex. Of course - Mudkip used its fin to sense the flow of water. It would be especially sensitive. But if Skorupi got in close to use her more powerful attacks, she would be in danger of getting blinded again - and then they'd definitely lose the fight, seeing as how she'd already sustained quite a bit of damage. Dana bit his lip. "Again, and, aim for the fin!"

Most of the mud had dried by now and Skorupi was busy shaking the flakes of soil off when her trainer gave the command. She narrowed her eyes, but instead of opening her mouth this time, her claws began to glow - and then a barrage of conical spikes shot out. Most of them veered wildly off course, but a few spun toward the Mudkip. She blinked, and turned to look at Dana - she was just as surprised as he was. Dana flicked through the entries in his Pokedex again, trying to figure out what just happened, but Skorupi returned to the fight and followed up with a leer. They weren't finished yet.

((Pshh, I got a Munchlax and a Wooper. Im tank city. :]))

"Keep practicing, Icy! You'll get it in no time." Tyler turned away and unlatched two poke balls from his belt, "Munchlax! Wooper! Come on out!" Tyler threw the poke balls into the air and they flew out.

"Munch! Munchlax!" "Wooper!" the two blue-ish colored pokemon replied happily. 'I seem to have a knack for blue pokemon..' The thought popped into his head, but nearly popped out as soon as it came.

"I haven't had time to properly meet and name you guys, so lets do it now." Tyler brought out two more bowls, one creamy white and the other blue with bits of purple. He poured some more Pokè-food into the two bowls. "So, Munchlax, I think I'll name you.. Macho Muncho. Just kidding, its only Muncho. And Wooper. Perhaps Mudbud. Well thats through, eat up!"

After the conversation, Icy finally mastered using Powder Snow on a breeze. "Now master it without summoning or using any wind." The young Bergmite tried creating pellets of snow and launching them at the tree without any wind. The pellets thinned so much halfway through, that they weren't there at all. Almost there. Icy tried again without being told and nearly hit the tree, except his aim was off. He tried again and nailed the center of the large oak tree. "Good job. Now finish your food."

Cole smiled, the Astonish had worked, that gave them a chanceof an attack free of retaliation. "Pursuit" the boy ordered rather clamed. Murkrow nodded and as the fox was distracted about its own flinching it flew around, out of her sight and managed to hit it hard from behind, shoving the fox to the other side of the arena. Cole smiled, he thought he had the upperhand now, though Murkrow's reaction to the Burn suffered by the previous Ember showed otherwise.

The spinning needles flew towards Mudkip, crouched as it was, the mud fish pokemon was not able to dodge the attck, only endure it.Even when onle they did little damage, the increased amount of needles hurt, specially the ones that hit its fin. Mudkip let out a loud cry of pain, one that, this time, caught its trainer attention. A surprised Natalie covered her mouth, surprised and afraid her pokemon had sustained so much damage in so short time. The girl's startle turned into rage swiftly and even shen she knew Mudkip was severly hurt by the latest attacks, she decided to counter attack. "Mudkip Tackle!" the girl shouted. A hurt and panting Mudkip turned to her trainer, it couldn't believe she was asking it to attack. Natalie's determined face gazed on Mudkip, assuring it that was her command. Mudkip sighed, it knew that if this attack was not enough to beat its opponent (something that was highly unlikely at this point), it would mean its own defeat. "kip kip kip kiiiiip1" the pokemon cried as it ran towards the scorpion, ramming it with its whole body. As the Skorupi flew in the air, Mudkip stopped, panting and struggling to stay on foot awaiting the outcome of its attack.

((Normally I wouldn't allow the use of a new move, but since we have to speed things up, I'll allow it, this time only.))

"Move!" Emilia screamed as she saw the Murkrow soaring towards Opal.

Though the pokemon didn't hear her as she was too busy shaking allowing the Murkrow to strike from behind with a Pursuit attack. Opal was sent forward by the attack, and flipping over onto her back skidded several yards before stopping. The fox pokemon quickly returned to her feet showing no signs of the fright that had gripped her before. Emilia was glad to have her friend back to fighting condition and surveyed their situation. Luckily she noticed tiny flecks of fire jumping from the Murkrow. It wasn't a certain victory but now they had a foothold and that was all Emilia needed to feel better.

"Alright Opal lets use Roar to stun Murkrow and hit it again with Ember" She called a smile on her face once more.

Opal glared at her opponent and let out a loud growlish type noise, though it was nothing to compare with an Arcanine it would most likely unnerve the Murkrow. Then she proceeded to release another barrage of flaming hot embers towards Murkrow.

Spinarak had fallen sleep for a short period of time on Larien's head as they watched the battles continue. He woke up intermittedly to watch the more interesting ones as the pokemon fought for their trainers. It gave the abdomen pattern a bit of a smile from time to time. Larien rarely moved, watching each battle with an experienced trainer's eye to see how others worked. It made for some interesting experiences.

But after a while Spinarak moved off her head, climbing down to sit next to his trainer and watch the battles still. He saw the way she was looking at them. He remembered how many badges she had. He remembered the snippet of a story too on how she nearly started collecting Hoenn's too on an unplanned detour to this land. She was experienced alright. Some day he'd be just as good as her other Pokemon too. But he admired the intensity she gave without realizing. It showed she wasn't just watching the battles to possibly learn new tricks, but also that she cared for what was going on.

The small spider thought back to how she was when she just started to mention a Weepinbell. He never did hear the full detail of why she had to leave that Pokemon. It obviously saddened her to talk of it, which saddened him to make her be that way. So he left it. She'd tell him when she was ready.

"You hungry?" Larien's voice interrupted Spinarak's thoughts and concentrating on the screen. He nodded to her as she picked him up and put him back on her head. He thought about what she had said before. When he becomes an Ariados he can't do this- the thought was sad, but he wouldn't need to ride on her head by then to cause mischief. The little spider waited until they started to walk before he fished out her badge case again.

"Not now..." Larien scolded lightly as she took it in hand. He gave, returning to her head and shrugging when she asked what he was hungry for. Anything. Anything would do.

But he also got what he wanted. His trainer hadn't put the badge case back yet. Maybe she'd finally explain more about her past.

Cole heard the Vulpix Roaring, he knew that was not going to end well for Murkrow. "Murkrow! dodge that attack!" theboy ordered his pokemon when he saw the opponent charging the fire attack. Murkrow cried in what he thought was agreement but as soon as he saw the bird unable to move he realized it was more a cry of help than anything else. Cole made a fist, angry, he knew this meant his loss. The Vulpix released the Ember attack and as the flames engulfed the bird, a loud cry of pain was heard. When the flare stopped, a smoky Murkrow collapsed from the air to the ground defeated.

The referee watched the pokemon fall down and shrugged as he saw the bird collapsing to the ground. The man called the end of the battle before any trainer could have a chance of giving any more orders, something he could see in Cole's eyes, he was planning to do "Murkrow is unable to continue, Vulpix and Emilia are the winners" he said raising his arm to the girl's side. Cole glared at the man, angered and returned Murkrow, without saying a word the boy left the arena and the tent.

Larien

While Larien was focused on her throughts, something shining on the ground caught Spinarak's attention. The spider touched the girl repeatedly until she turned "spin spin" it cried using one of its front legs to signal a black object on the verge of the tent, apparently the tent had been put over it and nobody had noticed the ball as of yet.

Item Found: Dusk Ball

Larien set down her badges case, picking up the Dusk Ball and examining it. It was an unusual ball to see just laying around. Especially in a place packed full of trainers. Someone rarely lost any poke ball type, let alone rarer ones like this one. But, after some consideration, she put the ball into her bag in its designated pocket for poke balls.

Spinarak watched from her head, holding on when she bent over. He was just as surprised by the find as she was. But it was going to be useful eventually. And as Larien started to move on, he tapped her on the forehead before pointing back to where the ball was.

She had forgotten her badge case!!!

"Thanks Spinarak!" The spider gleamed with helpfulness, holding on even tighter when she bent over quickly to pick up the case. "Let's go get some food though..." They started back toward where the food was and exited the larger tent into a smaller one. Larien let Spinarak hold the case this time as she walked into the smaller tent, seeing the spider was very happy about it anyway.

He waited until she found a seat to open it for a second. But Larien just set some of her stuff down before she started to move, so the spider shut the case and held on tight to it as he rode on her head. They noticed a myriad of other people milling about in the food-court tent trying to find some food too. Or chat. Sometimes both.

So far they successfully avoided some of the colorful characters in the tent. The more silent ones didn't need avoiding as most of those just went about their own business and retrieved food or found who they were looking for. Like Larien planned to do. She didn't want to bother anyone or interrupt concentration they might be having about their next battle or whatever. But Spinarak also liked to meet new people- granted so did Larien on a normal day. But today was important.

((not entirely sure what to do next... if you couldn't tell xd.png tempted to just keep stringing events to give you something to do too Ryu... and if you need me to take up someone's character again, I can. I'm sorry for leaving. Things are winding down in school and getting that much more stressful because of it...))

The sunlight that entered the window acted as an alarm clock, by gently waking Jason up. Since he was more of a night owl than a morning bird, he didn't welcome the sunlight. But he knew he had to get up and get ready for the day. After getting ready, he and DarkTeeth the Sandile left the PokeCenter and explored Pring Town. Today, there a fair and tournament! He wanted to join the tournament but there were two things. One, it already started, so he couldn't join, and two, his pokemon was not trained enough. Putting that aside, he and DarkTeeth started to roam the fair. After a while, things started a little dull.

Well, since I started college again, I know I won't be having much more free timein the next few weeks, so I will hasten things up with the tournament. The tournament update will be posted at the OOC Thread.

Everyone

After the last battle ended, the crowd roared, it was not always that you saw a Houndour overcoming a Ghost pokemon like Duskull. The red haired boy extended his arms to salute the crowd as his opponent, enraged, left the arena without waiting for the annouce of his defeat. After the announcement of the end of the first round was made, the master of ceremonies took the word again. "amazing isn't it?!" he shouted at the crowd. "the first round is over and these are the winners!" he said as the group of young trainers was scorted back to the arena. Led by the same woman that scorted them before, the eigth trainers tookposition in the arena "Alright, now for the second roundto start, the rules will be the following" the man continued. "this round is a one-on-one battle, this means each trainer can use only one pokemon, also, this pokemon cannot be the same pokemon they used on the first round" the crowd shouted excited, each of them cheering the name of their chosen trainer, but all equally excited asthis rules meant they would see new pokemon and more excited battles.

Th master of ceremonies chuckled as he heard the crowd's excitement "alright then, let's see who goes first" he said and turned to the large screen above the judges table. The screen opened with the bracket system already sorted out, it moved through each fo the round starting from the final and backwards tot he second round. Stoping on the first bracket it displayed the pictures of the two trainers who would open the first round matches Icarus and Larien. "there you have it! Icarus and Larien please take your positions at the arena! the rest of participants please wait for your turn at the tent" the man ended. With the master of ceremonies leaving the arena, Icarus and Larien took their positions in the trainer boxes at both ends of the arena while the staff lady scorted the remaining six trainers back to the tent. The referee took his position and motioned to both trainers to release their pokemon to start with the battle.

Jason

While jason and his pokemon scouted the fair, they could hear some fast paced noises, turning around, the boy saw a wild Darumaka running among the crowd, its hand clutched tight around a disk. The pokemon passed by Jason and jumped on his Sandile, giving them a mischievous glare as it ran to the nearby forest behind them, not stopping even at the rants of all the people it had pushed and shoved around as it ran.

Larien and Spinarak had returned from eating once the tournament started up again. When the announcer called the rules, the spider's abdomen frowned. He looked up to his trainer. "Spiin?" "That's the rules Spinarak..." Larien told with a small smile. "Cleffa's gotta battle now... but don't you worry-" She knelt down and patted the spider kindly. "We'll do our best. That's all we can do."

Spinarak smiled again, rubbing his head into Larien's hand for a moment. "Spinarak spin spin spinaraaak!" He cheered, jumping a little as Cleffa came out of the pokeball. "Now you pry should stay here and watch Spinarak." She added as she stood up with Cleffa. The spider turned to watch them walk to the area and climbed up to the overlooking ledge so he could watch.

"Spinnaaaraaaak!!!!" Spinarak cheered and waved as the battle started. He'd cheer on his trainer and Cleffa. It was the least he could do.

Larien was a little unsure about how this battle would turn out. She didn't know if Cleffa ever really did battle before and didn't really know what moves she could use. "Do your best Cleffa." She told the baby pokemon, setting her down as she looked at Larien with a worried look. "You'll be alright. I trust you." She tried to comfort the pokemon, patting her slightly on the head. "Cleff...." Cleffa ran out into the area as the battle started. This was going to be one interesting battle it seemed.

Gwin chatted with Alv again, but she started getting tired. She promised she would be back to see his next round, and her and her Pokémon went home for a short break. On the was, she had Sin practice double team. The little Pokémon concentrated, but only got a blur. "Come on, try again" Gwin encouraged her partner. By the time they got to the hotel he could create watery images. He couldn't hold it long, but he could move several copies.

An hour later, Sin had pulled her to the carnival, excited. They played a few games, with the tiny green pokemon winning his trainer a few trainer items, like potions, and also winning her a Magicarp plushie. The Ralts was dancing while Gwin was resting on a bench. Suddenly, he grabbed ahold of his trainer and pulled her into the nearby park.

With a final slash of her claws, Skorupi managed to bring the Mudkip down. "Skruuup!" She cried, looking smug as the crowd cheered, then waddled back to Dana. The boy himself was practically vibrating with happiness. "We did it!" He squeaked, picking Skorupi up (who proceeded to shed mud flakes all over his nice hoodie sleeves). "And, and that was Pin Missile, right? I can't believe you did that in the middle of a battle!" Skorupi tried to look unimpressed, but her grin gave her away. Dana began heading outside, squeezing past the crowds. "Alright, you have a break. Stay in the Pokemon Center, alright? I'll try Spinda out for the next one. If he does okay, maybe you'll get to battle Spinarak." Skorupi's eyes gleamed, and she shot a look at Dana's pocket - the one with Spinda's Pokeball inside it - as if to say don't you dare lose.

Soon, Dana was back in the tournament tent, taking his position at one end of the battling field. Although Uproar was powerful, Spinda didn't exactly have a range of moves to pick from - and if their opponent was Ghost- or even Steel-type, they were going to be in trouble. He'd have to rely on Spinda's unpredictable movements. "Alright, come out, Spinda!" He threw the Pokeball up and Spinda appeared in a flash of light. "Spi-i-in," he pronounced, tottering around and not paying attention to their opponent at all.
