2013-03-04 - Speckle-Throated Dragons

I personally don't see the appeal of Tri-horns. Brown and blue. Dark brown, and blue. Ick. Brown and blue are a new kind of color pairing, only in the 2000's. They are basically, the 2000's version of the 70's tangerine and olive. (shudders).

 

But that's just my opinion. I have them for scroll completion, but I probably will never use them. The delicate pink of these new Speckles, are more well suited for contrasting with blues, other shades of pinks, whites, greens, and metals. Again, just my opinion.

Welcome to Dragon Cave. This game is about collecting as much as you want of any dragon you want (with very specific, rare exceptions). If you want the new dragons, either catch faster, trade for them, wait for them to become more common, or find someone who will gift one or two to you. Greediness is not a vice here.

Actually, I don't think that would be fair. The only limit there should be is for Christmas and Valentine Dragons. I think it's pretty good how it is right now. I could breed you one later if your having trouble catching them. Which I think may be why you want a limit..

People are getting as many as they want. There is no limits to normal releases and never will be.

I really was excited when I saw the S2 spites. I like them better than the adults, but I think the adults are lovely too. Not my favorite dragon but I am sure some future releases will have me jumping for joy. Very nice work on the texture, very smooth an will go well with:

Hm...I think i may get more of these and start a Tri-hornXSpeckle-Throat lineage. Though I will try them with other dragons and see what I like with them also.

 

Now that I think about it, perhaps a nebxspeckle-throat would be nice too. Though that's just me.

Just to add to this. (and I know you said not everyone just to note)

 

If you think people are being greedy due to having a lot on their scrolls it isn't always the case. Many people have traded things to accumlate what they have, and many have gifted people to start them off who later were able to get their own. (I gifted 5 total, kept 3 for myself, traded for 2 more, then traded again for 3 hatchies+something else, and if I come across friends who don't have any I'll gladly give them a pair.)

 

+with all the metals, trios, and various other rares/uncommons(stripes, CB blacks etc) being pretty plentiful right now many have forgone collecting the new eggs(or only collected a single pair) and have been hunting for the rare ones, which in turn will allow them to trade for new eggs later on if they wanted them.

 

In short: There are many ways to accumlate eggs, and it's not always out of greedy grabbing.

 

I will say I understand it's frustrating to not be able to get the eggs especially after the initial release has ended.(I missed blusangs, only CB was a gift).

Once the hatchlings gendered I thought they would look good with flamingos but I think they're too pale. The poses match at least.

They might looks nice with Night Glorys or any dragon with a dusty, or deep brown.(autumns perhaps, but the detail difference I couldn't say for sure without checking).

Thanks...now everytime I see a metalXspeckle-throat i keep thinking metallic pinks. Though I think that they look great with the metallics. ;D

I plan to have my usual two, I may keep the other four, or gift them, now that I know they are not a rare.

 

It's not being greedy to have a lot. Just because YOU have problems catching, don't go begrudging everyone else. I have arthritis. I can't catch very well. I trade for most of what I get. If you can't catch, get savvy on trading. Took me four years of trading to get my scroll where it is. You can too.

Ditto. I spent the morning in the ER for extreme dehydration and I still managed to come home and catch one. I haz skillz lol.

I plan to grab as many as I can. If I lock myself with six Speckle-Throats, I might continue to lock myself with Speckle-Throats until I go "Hey, my current object for hoarding has changed. Time to obsessively grab those."
