Posted March 7, 2013 Regarding the males, I believe what we're seeing is the crest on the top of his head, from the description: Male Speckle-Throats have a small crest on top of their heads, which they can flush with blood to intimidate enemies and attract mates. I'm really liking these guys, and I think I'm going to end up pairing them with Tsunamis and Blusangs, and then mix the groups. I've got 3 pairs, so one of them will be used for pb offspring. Posted March 7, 2013 The adult sprites are very pretty! I can understand why some think the male sprite is a bit awkward....but if you look at the hatchling sprite - the antennae are longer than the female - so the adult male has extra long antennae. I think they are wrapped under the neck and flowing out to the side in the design. At least, that's what my old eyes are seeing. Either way, they are both very pretty - I'd like to do an even gen lineage with them.
