Choru was going at a breakneck speed, and Jaden was right in that two top notch speeds would make for a worthless attempt at a stop. Even if the Valravn tried to brake his black wings while letting out a cry of "WOAH!" Still, the impact looked painful. Choru's head slamming into Jaden's forehead, all four limbs flailing around with his black talons clawing around in a flurry of clothes and feathers. As a raven-hybrid, Choru was easily startled by the scents of large cats, Jaden was making him panic, but only for a while as he realized he was just being held and not clawed to bits. Once the shock settled he redoubled his efforts, beginning to bark and snarl like an angry wolf.

Tatsuke was picking himself up, dusting himself off and regaining his bearings. Jaden got the wolf, and Tatsuke would help to subdue the Valravn in a minute. He just needed a minute or two to take a deep breath. Too bad there was another sound coming down the labyrinth from another pathway. The Nihounese human ran to the sound, he would never forgive himself if another slipped by as they were both tangling with one simple wolf. He hid behind a corner as the red-haired female came down the hall... for some reason she wasn't touching the walls. Odd. But no matter, this time Tatsuke would freeze her so that she couldn't break out. He gathered icy power in his hand, clutching his tome hard to his chest. Finally he blasted his magic at her, a blue-white ball crackling with cold as it flew.

~

Sin recoiled as water paffed onto her body harmlessly. What the hell...? She looked at the water rolling down her hand, but it quickly absorbed into her skin. Magic water. She turned to the source of the ball and grinned wide. Tatsuke felt his heart sink to his stomach... was this lady a... demon?

Jaden dug his claws into Choru to hold on for dear life as he felt them connect. The crack of their heads was an almost sickening sound. He hung off Choru, in a daze of almost being knocked unconscious. Perhaps that wasn't the best idea. His ears drooped lazily as he shook his head back to senses. He looked at Choru, the split image of the wolf - no thanks to the head knock, came back into one being. His ears perked back up at the growling. Stopped him, but now what? he thought briefly. He couldn't exactly rip Choru up with his claws. Blast it, sparring was much simpler back where he came from. Injuries were expected. The Untamed settled for sinking his little fangs into Choru and holding on like a stubborn Honey Badger.

Nami finally moved down the maze after giving the others time to get into squabbles. Perhaps she'd just be there for cleanup. Upon seeing the scene, Tatsuke's magic seemed to have been just soaked up by the redhead. No magic then. That was disappointing. "I just hate getting my hands dirty" she muttered, looking down at her dragon, Coorta.

Dain watched the walls of the maze rrise and the flag appear. He waited silently for the signal to start and when he got it he moved. Though, not quickly. Dain made his way into the maze silently, keeping mainly to himself when he heard the warning. Damn. Now not only was he in a maze alone, but he didn't even know how to get back to his flag. This, sadly was made worse when he heard Tatsuke's cry for help. Dain made a turn and came into contact with Sin. Dain groaned. He knew nothing of her race, let alone how to fight one. At the very least, it seemed Nami, and Tatsuke was there to take care of her. So, he simply turned around and made his way back to Jaden. Now, how to fight a wolf? Well, if we can't maim, he might as well just fight with his hands. Dain approached the wolf and lifted his hand in hello. "Yo." He had assumed he already knew he was there regardless, "names Dain. I'm a vampire. I'd love to sit and chat, but I think this is where we fight each other." Dain grinned.

So, that wasn't a victory. That was cheating. Well, if the teacher had mentioned they couldn't do that earlier, the teams wouldn't have had to deal with the resulting correction. No matter, Mistry was in no hurry. She did not understand why her teammates were rushing ahead. Then Kira made her comment and the Gracidona flicked her tail idly. Complaining seemed to be a constant from the female werewolf. However, Mistry didn't understand the female's concern for the flag. They were supposed to find the other team's flag. There was no mention of guarding their own flag and no mention of what happened when a flag was taken, at least not directly.

Oh well.

Heading down a different path from Sin and Choru, the Gracidona's ears swiveled forward, back, and to the sides as she picked up the sounds of her teammates. Eventually, she caught up to Sin and paused, watching a male mage try to throw a spell at her captain. When it didn't work, Mistry grew curious. Was that what she heard some Azazels talk about? That magic was useless with them? Her initial concept had been that they were just powerful users of magic themselves that no one else could rival them. She wasn't expecting it to mean that magic was null and void entirely. This was interesting.

Finally, the Kitsune girl appeared and mentioned something about getting her hands dirty. How? There was no dirt in the gym. Mistry had never heard the expression before and she sent a questioning sensation towards the Kitsune with the image of soil. What did Nami mean by getting her hands dirty? Also, were the four supposed to fight each other? Mistry didn't fight. She was too pacifistic to fight for either side, let alone start or stop any kind of fight. But, she was part of this game instead of just observing. Such a conflict against her comfort zone. Well...

A few inches in front of Sin, and some feet behind the opposing two players, solid air rose higher than the maze walls, trapping Tatsuke and Nami in a small space. Of course, they wouldn't see the solid air, only feel it if they bumped into it. Now what was Mistry supposed to do? She'd never been in a fight before, as part of a game or not. Glancing towards Sin, she thought about the mage boy's attack against the Azazel. Was that what she needed to do? Well, alright.

Dropping the invisible barriers, Mistry lashed her tail against the wall, sending a rippling stream of air over Sin's head to collide with the other two. The raging gust crashed to the ground like an ocean's wave, rising back up and falling again in a repeated pattern as it raced towards Tatsuke and Nami, the smaller ripples aimed for their feet while the larger ones aimed for their shoulders. If hit successfully, the two would find themselves on a 'bumpy ride' and possibly suffer a few good bruises.

[[beware, Mistry is strong even if she doesn't know the process of fighting. Call it instinct for someone who's form is based on that of typical prey for most carnivores large enough to take her down. She's not perfect though. She can't beat down every bit of magic but thats where her speed can come in handy. However, that's going to be hindered by the limited space in the maze.]]

Choru howled and fought harder as Jaden bit him. He clawed at Jaden with his talons but as expected it did very little, since he didn't have the sharp claws that Jaden or Sin had. The best they could do was leave angry red streaks. His next bet was biting. He didn't like resorting to violence, but in gym the objective was to retrogress into neanderthals bashing at each other with whatever animal parts they had on hand. He chomped down on Jaden's ear, not wanting to bite his neck in case he broke something, but growling directly into Jaden's ear drums. When Dain approached, his looked over at the vampire with a glare. "'M a liddle busy, vumpire." The words were gummed around Jaden's ear, which Choru didn't let go of.

Sin, however, was free. With a smile and a thumbs-up to Mistry, The Azazel snuck off into the labyrinth towards the suspected area of the flag. The point where she'd seen the human come from. It wouldn't be easy in a stone labyrinth, but Sin was born and raised in a small community in the woods. Of course she'd know how to back-track.

~

Tatsuke was going to move away from Sin, try to gain some distance from her. He knew he couldn't beat her, not if she was immune to magic. All of his power was concentrated in his mage abilities, nix tactician talents. Wrestle a demon? Not going to happen. But by the time he was moving, the Gracedonia had showed up, and he had bumped into a wall. A clear wall? He put his hand up to it and recognized it as an air wall. What played well for Tatsuke was that he wasn't a specialized magic-user, he was a general mage. He could use many different kinds of magic to a decent extent, but didn't master in any. Wind magic was one of the many. But then she let out the waves of energy, and of course it caught him. He went on one, two tumbles backwards before he got a foothold. He slammed his heel to the ground and thrust two hands forward, blasting his own wind blitz to counter the onslaught given by Mistry. He foot shifted forward in a hard step. The wind was blowing the skin on his face back, resulting in wide golden eyes and a very odd grin. Her magic was stronger than his, but he was still able to weaken it to the point where he could move.

He was downwind, a strong gust blowing on his shoulders and a weak one at his feet. Nami had been caught in the blast too. He couldn't change the wind and his earth magic was one of his weaker magicks. He couldn't counter her ability, so he would have to get creative. As best he could, Tatsuke shuffled sideways to the wall and slammed his free hand to it, since the other was occupied with fighting Mistry's magic. From his hand on the wall, a growing vine of ice crawled upwind, unhindered by Mistry's air magic. when it was out of the blast, it lunged at the deer-like animal and made a cold puddle around her foot. Perhaps if she had time to prepare she would have noticed he'd used his meager earth magic to place the tiniest bit of salt in the ice, which melted bits of the center like a wire. "I sorry!" Was the last warning before he sent a strong electric shock through the ice wire, unhindered by the gale force, right at her.

Coorta jumped forward as she sensed the air current. She gave a thrust of her wings, channeling her own current of wind towards Mistry's. She was too small yet to make a very strong gust, but it did soften the blow, knocking Nami and her back a few feet instead of blowing them out. "Now that's just rude" Nami muttered. She saw an image of dirt in her mind, but didn't really understand that it came from Mistry and especially not why. She looked around at everyone. Jaden seemed at an impasse with Choru, and Tatsuke was occupied with Mistry. They were trapped inside an... air wall?

Jaden winced as he felt Choru bite his ear. "Zee, geh hur" he muffled. Zeek looked behind him, seeing Sin sneak off. He zipped along after her, casting balls of light around her with the equivalent of flash grenades. He wasn't able to weaponize his light magic yet, but he could be annoying with it at least. Jaden growled back at Choru, feeling the claws rake his skin. He had a mind to show the wolf real claws by shifting to his puma form. But alas.... it was then he realized just how near useless he was here. He was a tiny thing that relied greatly on his claws and sword skills. Take those away for the games and he was just... a tiny thing. Oh well... maybe I can at least keep him occupied he thought. His eyes flickered as he heard Dain's voice challenge Choru. Was he blind? Or was Jaden really that small?

Dain frowned. Man this was getting lame. He figured he could have helped Jaden, but obviously that doesn't seem like a liable option. This was fine however, because he could see the flashing light behind him. Dain turned, deciding to let Jaden, Nami, and Tatsuke deal with these two. Dain chased after Sin, not taking long to catch up, since all he had to do was follow the light. It reminded him of the age old rule, when your stuck in a tunnel/cave, follow the light. Dain eventually made his way to Sin and grabbed one of his knives. When he threw it, it flew and landed in front of Sin. He did this mainly to just get her attention.

Getting knocked back by an air current was rude in Nami's view? What about Tatsuke making to electrocute the Gracidona? One was certainly more lethal than the other and someone needed to get their chart of 'rude attacks' sorted out because, ow that hurt! Mistry couldn't scream or cry out, not having the voice box to do so.

She could feel when Tatsuke used his own wind magic, attempting to counter hers. However, his wasn't strong enough to do much other than provide an extra buffering from the transparent current. She had likewise seen the stream of ice jutting its way towards her and splashing around her left fore-hoof, causing her blink curiously. What had he been trying to do? It appeared to her that his magic had failed but, when he shouted an apology at her, she jerked.

Hackles rising and eyes widening, the electric bolt was much faster than she was. The shock wasn't strong enough to kill her or knock her unconscious. However, it was still strong and made her rear back onto her hind legs, vision clouding and muscles barely responding to her mind. The air current she controlled splintered apart seeming, for all intents and purposes, to vanish entirely.

It didn't.

Instead, as she dropped back to all fours, the splinters sharpened and propelled themselves towards Tatsuke, Nami, and Coorta. They would pierce flesh like sharp darts or small knives, a defensive strike acted out on instinct. When the teacher said they could use abilities to fight, Mistry had not expected something like this. Now her heart raced, almost panicked, and the scent of scorched fur clogged her nose making her snort loudly. She suddenly felt like prey facing a predator and she feared predators more than anything she'd encountered.

In this panicked state, her mind focused only on the fact that she hurt and that these two were the ones who had caused her such pain, unable to differentiate who was actually responsible for the electric shock. The sharpened splinters of air kept up their assault, attempting to frighten off her 'hunters' and even passing by harmlessly over Tatsuke's and Nami's heads towards the others. The splinters didn't separate friend from foe, teammate from opponent, and so struck at anyone and all in their path.

Mistry didn't care who was hurt and how badly. She was in pain and the instinct for a prey animal was to survive. And survive she intended to do.

[[Tatsuke, you struck a nerve. Literally and mentally.]]

Ms. Hawkins's heels clicked quietly as she patrolled the wall over the fight. She spotted the magic spikes and waved her hand. A feathered barrier blocked the attack on the others. She snapped her fingers to Mistry, "Watch it, no maiming I said. And likewise, careful with those" she looked at Dain as he threw a knife in front of Sin. She wanted to encourage a fun battle, but she didn't want to send anyone's body back to their race. What would send a better message about peace and the school than 'oops someone got stabbed, sorry 'bout that'.

Nami zipped away as soon as the cage broke. She ran towards where Dain was headed and skidded to a halt next to Jaden and Choru. "Oh, umm..." she hummed quietly, looking at them. Their teeth were locking into each other, looking almost comical. her hands twitched, considering pulling Jaden away. No, that would hurt his ear. "Oh!" she snapped her fingers in thought. Nami moved around and made a quick jab towards Choru's windpipe. Not hard enough to break anything, but enough to make him choke if it connected.

Tatsuke could only fend off the air needles to a basic degree with his own wind magic. Against a panicked onslaught from a powerful force of nature, there was no match. He countered with his air wall as best as he could and right when they seemed they were going to overwhelm him, the teacher stepped in. Tatsuke let out the breath of air he'd been keeping welled up in his lungs, but his heart was still smacking his ribcage like an angry gorilla. He'd come too close for comfort on that shot, and if he didn't like gym class before he really didn't like it now. He felt weak in all of his limbs and his knees were knocking together. Was pitting each other against one another in combat a way to get to understand one another? If so then he understood why all the races hated each other. He didn't want to have hurt Mistry, it wasn't in his nature, but in this class he had to.

~

Choru wasn't letting go. He had one job right now, and it was keeping away the speed demon from everyone else. Nami approached and jabbed him in the throat, but the same way a wolf keeps its teeth in the butt of a deer his teeth stayed fastened on Jaden's ear. Even as he gagged and choked. Good thing she didn't his gag reflex; he may have barfed on the poor Untamed. In fact now he reached his paws around Jaden's shoulders as if he was hugging him to keep more of a grip than just his teeth. Though he had a whole lot to say now about how stupid he thought this game was and how much he wanted to quit. Maybe it was a good thing his mouth was full of Jaden's ear?

~

Fire mages were weak to water mages, Draugs couldn't take poison and no Dragon could withstand a Fairy's curse. Everything had a weakness, and an Azazel's was being stabbed with sharp objects. So Sin didn't take kindly to Dain throwing a knife at her head. No one did, in fact anyone that took the sentiment lightly and without offense probably hadn't dodged it.

She pulled the knife out of the wall and pointed it at him. "That's how you say hello? I'm never playing Word Association with you ever. I know I don't usually leave good first impressions but what did I do to get this?" That was a justifiable reaction from anyone but it seemed less of Sin more than it did of Choru. It seems that when Choru is unable to speak, he sends out telepathic vibes that make all of the rest of Lucky's characters fall under his brain control. Or maybe Lucky just wanted to write something funny and Sin was the victim of that?

But more so than that was the bit of excitement in her voice, that high twinge of tease. A challenger's tone. Sin wasn't Choru or Tatsuke. She didn't have a silver tongue or a gentle touch, wasn't born into a land of prosperity and philosophy. She was raised by a soldier in a forest town where the only thing standing between bandits and beasts and your home's survival was a five-foot stone wall and you. You learned early on that the bears ate the coward quicker than they ate the confident. Sin was raised to fight.

She wasn't going to let go of the knife if he was armed. She had built-in claws and teeth and they were very sharp indeed, but in the end nothing seemed to beat cold hard steel. To test its whit she ran her claw along the edge of it, mostly to know what she would be fighting against. You could learn a lot about a man by the condition of his or her weaponry. What could be learned from observing Sin was her well-brushed teeth and well-kept claws, nix the one broken index claw. It spoke about how she always made sure she was prepared for a fight... she may have dodged the knife even if he was aiming. She looked at him again with sharp silver eyes, her head slightly tilted down just so that her red hair shadowed the dip of her gaze, a smile was on her face with just the slightest break in the lip showing her ivory fangs. "I see you're one for dramatic introductions."

Jaden felt Nami jab Choru from the slight push it made. The wolf certainly didn't seem to want to give him up. I know this keeps him here but... I'm stuck too... he certainly didn't feel like he was winning. Jaden was a cat, Choru was a dog. And yet, Choru was also bird-like. It was an impasse for that line of thought. Choru had wrapped his paw around Jaden. His ear started to ache, being much more sensitive than his bite to Choru's shoulder. "Nnngh" he whined briefly and quietly. His thought briefly skimmed over the pain, pooling an almost panicked emotion in his chest.

Nami paused when the jab didn't seem to be effective. "Well then" her tails flicked up, brandishing electricity on their ends. She paused again. No. If she shocked Choru, she would shock Jaden as well.

Jaden suddenly shifted into his puma form and roared loudly in irritation. The echoing off the walls didn't help it hurt Nami's ears any as she grabbed them in pain. Jaden roughly and suddenly shoved against Choru to try and flip him on his back.

((Dunno if anyone's heard a puma roar but it's a damn flinch worthy noise xd.png we have pumas where I live so I know))

(I don't know what a cougar sounds like, but I've heard boats crash into houses and tackle electric lines.)

Oh, it hurt Nami's ears? Poor baby. Choru's sensitive eardrums nearly burst. He cringed and whimpered for a full minute through and after the roar, and he had enough. "This is stupid! Now get off me, Mittens!" He kicked him in the stomach and beat his paw against Jaden's now catlike face. "What is this even teaching us? How to bite and not let go? I thought this was a game about teamwork! We're not gonna get anywhere by chewing on each other for an hour, so if I were you I'd be thinking of a way we can work this out without gouging each other's eyes out."

He didn't dislodge the other paw on Jaden's shoulder. He knew full well Nami would just tazer him into submission if he lost the connection.

((Welp, that's awks. I live around lots of water but never heard that X3

It's a cool noise actually or at least I think so.))

Jaden growled, baring his teeth until Choru finally let go. He snarled again as Choru kicked and hit his face. He brought his own paw around to wallop him back to try and dislodge the hugging paw on his shoulder. Jaden extended his claws to put in an intimidation factor. Nami looked at the both of them, "I believe the point was fun. Some cultures rather enjoy a spar. Like this little one" she waved her hand at Jaden. "I don't like getting all sweaty, but it is necessary to experience all sides of cultures. The teamplay thing is our fault really... No one is in real harm here anyway" she shrugged.

Where did the feathers come from? Mistry's mind couldn't focus on words and so she didn't hear anything of what Ms. Hawkins had said but, even if she had, she wouldn't understand the term 'maiming.' Regardless of the feathery wall, the onslaught of air needles didn't lessen until another minute later when her panicked thoughts began to unwind and calm down. Snorting loudly, the Gracidona moved restlessly in place, tapping her hooves soundlessly against the floor.

Her ears flattened against the back of her skull, eyes quickly flicking from side to side as she examined the feathery wall. She couldn't see the other students very well on the other side but she could still smell them to an extent. Once she was of her original observant mind, she sent a mental wave of apology towards Tatsuke and Nami, fear underlying that apology in hope that they would understand what caused her reaction.

Backing away from the feather barrier, Mistry turned down a different pathway. Perhaps she could find someway around everyone and reach the flag without anyone noticing her? It hurt to walk though and her muscles ached, tremors running up her foreleg and shaking her body. Lightning had been her primary element in her previous form and, had she been able to keep that form, Tatsuke's attack would have had far less of a punch and she could have turned it back on the male.

Oh well.

Dain, who was running towards Sin at full speed, had to almost start jumping to help him slow down. Sin had turned around to face him, and Dain was going to grant her wish. When Dain stopped, he did a simple bow, folding one arm at his waist and bowing at a 45 degree angle. As Dain came up, he pulled out two more of his knives, and held them backwards. He did this so that any hits would be with the dulled side, not the sharp edges. "I do apologize, it is not my custom to throw knives in a greeting, however I figured you wouldn't stop and allow me to greet you otherwise." Dain grinned, fire to fight, burned in his eyes, "now, will you dance with me?" Dain prepared himself, this was the girl he knew nothing about, and that wasn't good.

(All I can say is that Superstorm Sandy made a hell of a lot of weird noises.)

For a moment Choru's mouth was full of cat foot, followed by his eye, his shoulder joint and his armpit. "I assure you I will walk out of this class only learning how much I hate gym. And most I learned about Mr. Buttons here is how bad he tastes." They weren't even really getting instructions on how to spar... if they were even really sparring so much as grappling. He continued to hold on as best as he could, slipping away from Jaden's kicks where he could. Thankfully, Choru was smaller than a cougar and possessed the slight advantage of size in this case even without having claws of biting to keep attached to the puma. But every advantage counted, and Nami would most certainly upset the delicate balance.

~

Sin grinned. What a gentleman. She turned the knife he had thrown around in her hand in the same way he had so she would not stab him accidentally. She then said, "Of course I will... but I warn you, I've haven't been taught to fight gently, Pretty Boy."

Sin was beaten not by flashy magic tricks, but by true ingenuity or greater raw strength. If he possessed great strength due to being a vampire, they may be evenly matched in terms of ability. But if he used his shadow dogs and expended his energy, then Sin could steal the fight. Now Sin here didn't know his magic style, but that man was no Azel and most other humanoids possessed magic skills, weak or strong in the muscle. She would have to get him to use his magic and hope he had no prior knowledge of her race like so many others she had met so far. She preformed a bluffing charge, first rushing at him with the knife raised then when changing her route to almost veer entirely sideways as if anticipating to dodge a magic blast. She did this when she was reasonably close, but not close enough to warrant a physical retaliation.

Jaden's ears flattened. This wolf seemed as rude as his dragon. Very whiny as well. Jaden paused to make a snort of laughter. In his culture, such whining would never have been tolerated. Other races sure were strange in their dicipline. Nami looked on, dusting her hands. "Better brush up on wolf anatomy. Didn't want to resort to this but..." she raised her hands and assaulted Choru in a barrage of tickles. Jaden perked up as she started her tickling and was struck with a sudden idea. His eyes narrowed and he secured his footing on the ground, lowering himself a bit. Jaden launched himself forward in a full power jump. He was aiming to smash Chrous back into the far wall.

Eh, Jaden didn't need to smash him into the wall. Choru was down when Nami started tickling him. He was putty in her hands the moment she touched the underside of his black wings, kicking and writhing like a three-year-old pinned down by their poppa in a tickle fight. He was so ticklish that he'd dislodged his paws from Jaden's shoulders, he just was not able to focus on holding on like this. "Stop! Stop!" he called out from under hysterical laughter. The most uptight people always seemed to be the most ticklish ones, and Choru was pretty high-strung all of the time. Morke had gotten off of Choru by this point, and was mostly wondering what was happening to Choru to make him laugh so much... was something funny?

But the little dragon knew the cougar was going to get away. He was a fast one, and that wouldn't be good for his team. His red eyes flashed and darkened, the color draining to his paws. He scratched his claws along the ground making a dark rip in the crystal, and from the rip came small bug-like shadows. A summoning, and not animation like he'd done in the cafeteria. The bugs were made of shadows, magical beings like Whisps and Ghosts. Upon a slight nod they flew to Jaden, looking to get into his fur like fleas.

Nami grinned as Choru gave out in a spasm of laughter. She got off the wolf, giving him a breath. "Well now that you're by your lonesome, perhaps we can do this right' she smiled slyly. Nami twirled on one foot. Her tails swung around with her, the tips glowing bright yellow farther they swung around. By the time she reached her original position, each tip fizzled with yellow electricity. The electricity rose into the air as 9 separate balls of electricity, floating. "I'm honorable, get your bearings" she grinned still.

Jaden felt Choru drop off him as he launched off. The tickling had been much more effective than he first thought. He saw the rift open of darkness bugs. He knew who that was. But he knew something to counter it. "Zeek!" he called. His little dragon left Sin, as Dain was already handling her. He flew back, seeing the darkness creatures and cast bright balls of pure light onto them as Jaden hit the wall. Jaden launched himself in another powerful leap off the wall as he hit, jumping clean over Choru and Mistry. He sped off down the corridor to look for the flag.

Dain prepared himself for the girl's charge. The way he saw the fight going, was her charging and attempting to stab him, and then him stealing the fight. Dain didn't move, and instead, around about the time Sin veered, he side-stepped off in the opposite direction. This made for an interesting display, almost like two amateur actors playing in an unrehearsed mock fight. Sin, seemingly anticipating a magic blast went one way and Dain, anticipating a lunge went the other. Dain blinked in a slight confusion and began to laugh. "Your good. It is obvious that you have fought magic users before and thus anticipated my next likely move. However, I cannot use magic like that. Now how about we try this dance again?" Dain lunged forward, throwing out one of his arms, in what looked to be an easily dodge-able attack. However instead of finishing the attack, he continued the spin, dropping low, and sending out a kick.

Sin had eaten so much dirt from being the victim of the classic 'grass cutter' feign that she would have recognized it even if she hadn't already faked out a move and had it in her mind. He dropped to the ground and let out a low kick, which Sin countered with a light jump and landed back lightly on her toes. In a moment she'd entered her boxing position, easily her favorite and most comfortable style. She jabbed at his by punching as low as she could reach and bringing her arm up in a powerful uppercut that, if it landed, would bring him back up to his feet. "Come up, dance on your feet!"

Naturally the dark bugs disintegrated, as they were nothing but shadow. Morke glared at the source of the light, his tail lashing about. It was the light dragon he'd spoken to earlier. Morke didn't like him because the dragon didn't seem to understand him and henceforth was no fun. The other dragon asked him about his magic and even wanted to learn some of it, and that made him feel good in his chest. When he looked at Zeek he had a feeling that wasn't anger but... odd. Like annoyance but more on the deeper side of feeling instead of that constant high buzz that was annoyance. The most he could make of it was that he didn't want to see Zeek, so he must not like him.

His colors were still pale with his paws being the only thing green, and his dark red eyes fixed on Zeek, waiting for him to make a move. Choru told him fighting was wrong, and he didn't fully understand why yet, but he wanted Choru to be happy with him so he wouldn't fire the first attack. The bugs didn't even count as an attack really, they were just noisemakers that would have screeched when they came near Kira so she would be alerted to Jaden's presence. That was why the little colossus just stared wordlessly at the light dragon.

Choru rolled onto his feet, closing his jaw and flattening his ears. He actually really hated fighting, in case that wasn't obvious. He had been holding Jaden down because he had to, and he would be fighting Nami again only because he was instructed to. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Morke waiting patiently for a move to be made on Zeek's part, and Choru was silently proud. He wanted to be a good role model for that dragon cub. He spread his wings out, black feathers lined neatly on every soft row of down and came up with a solution. "You're honorable? Then you should know I hate fighting and I don't want to hurt you or anyone, but I do have to help my team. I've never met anyone who can fly as fast as I can..." His voice was cool and calm. The way his father taught him, but not being used for the sinister purposes he was supposed to follow. "You have nine tails, nine electric shots. If I can dodge every one, then I get to go free. Deal?"

This wasn't a time for his freak-outs. He had two very important things to him at stake; the credibility he had to his dragon, and the credibility he had to his own honor. For him, fighting destroyed both sanctions and lead to anger on the sides of the winner and the looser. Disputes settled by battling never ended, he would know. He was a member of a race that practically bought and sold hatred, and he would prove that to Morke by the time his short life was over, why not start now?

Tatsuke trailed Mistry reluctantly. Ever since the incident with the air needles, he felt disheartened about this whole class. An Untamed enjoyed these classes, and an Azel brought up the way Sin was brought up enjoyed the chance to have friendly competition. Tatsuke didn't feel like this was friendly at all. He felt bad. He hurt the Gracedonia and she attacked back, which could have injured him severely had not the teacher stepped in. He didn't want to hurt anyone so he figured he would follow her and just pray she didn't end up finding the flag. If she did... well, he would be forced to do what he didn't want to do.

((Going to wait on Jaden since I'm posting from a phone x.x

Pssh Moke, they can smell each other))

Nami's tails swished in conent, the little balls of lightning following along with them. She looked at Chorus wings, "I'm afraid that's lost on me, as I cannot fly" she shrugged. She sniggered quietly at his persistance about not fighting. He seemed quite content with not playing. Didn't he notice no one was using lethal force? The most damage so far was just bruising. She raised an eyebrow at his offer, but not without bursting into laughter. Nami collected herself, "Oh, sweet thing, that's not how it works. See I wanna help my team too. And I do that by keeping you busy, not letting you go. That would be... dishonorable to my team" her voice dropped with a purr every so slightly. Her tails flicked, sending off all nine balls of light at Choru. They took a curved path so as to cover more ground in between each of them, like an arch.

Zeek all but ignored Morke. He didn't like the dragons apparent bullying and so didn't concern himself with him. That plus his short attention spand, he was no longer interested since he'd helped Jaden escape. Zeek flew over Nami, flying idly above her.

(Cut him some slack, he was being helpful for once to someone beside Choru. No one could possibly ignore the ear breaking sound of screeching bugs but it's quite possible to slip by if you're a cat, especially if there's no wind to move the scent around.)

No, it wasn't about lethal force. It wasn't about killing, it was about fighting. It was just bruises right now, but Choru could even argue against that because he felt opposing each other with brute force was just wrong. It wasn't just about two people hitting each other, bruises faded but the feelings remained. It wasn't just the swords on a battlefield that killed, it was shame and distrust. Choru had met brothers who started on two ends of a training exercise and stopped on a bloody battlefield. He didn't feel it was right to encourage battling if this whole dang war had been started by aggression. So he resolved, even as Nami laughed at him and his ideals, he would win this without one blow to her... in nine turns.

Just because someone had a big mouth didn't mean that they were weak or slow. In Choru's case, he was weak in his magic and perhaps in his body, but not one feather let him down in his speed. She let loose the electro-blasts at him and the only think left in his place was a black feather softly floating to the ground. But he was working with only fifteen feet of upwards leeway so to break his velocity he had to swerve down at the ground as he reached the top of the maze. No one could accelerate as fast as he had without needing to break the momentum. Just to look cool, he also made sure he dropped low and maneuvered through the electrical arches, pulling his wings in when he needed to and using his tail and back legs to keep himself steady in flight. When he was done, he flew back up, beating his black wings steadily to keep him aloft a few feet above the Kitsune. "One!"

Oh, so he was just going to walk away? Okay. Morke was cool with that... his bright neon paw placed on the ground, first opening a dark portal behind him and then one almost directly in front of Zeek so the hatchling would fly in and fly out the one behind him. The portals were linked of course, and unlike the last one they weren't connected to the dark world, only each other, so there would be no Hellish encounters. It was totally safe... just made to mess with Zeek and impede his progress, see how he took it.

Dain didn't allow himself to be hit by the uppercut, though that didn't stop it from bringing him to a standing position. Dain pushed himself away from the punch, and following its curve, did a semi roll to his feet. He smiled slightly, enjoying the competitiveness. "I am sorry, I think I started the wrong dance. I thought we were going to dance the "Kazachok". Allow me to go again." Dain rushed forward, though, he only moved about two steps. Having never gone up against a boxer before Dain didn't recognize the form and could only judge from the obvious. To test the form, Dain threw out a back fist, followed by a jab, with that followed by a kick. Though he was anticipating the first punch and maybe even the second one to be block, he didn't use them as feints, and instead threw them as an actual punch. With each move, Dain took a step forward, almost trying to push Sin back into a corner.

Nami watched idly as Choru flew off and then weaved in between her shots. "Tch, showoff. And don't both counting, I told you I'm not letting you off" she smirked at him. Nami reached into a back pouch on her kimono, taking out a few small balls. They looked like glass and had yellow lightning dancing on the inside, looking much like little plasma balls. "Fetch, doggie" she grinned, remembering playing fetch with Tiberius earlier. She thew them on the floor around the area. They bounced harmlessly into their positions, clicking quietly as they hit the ground. Nami spun on her heel again, creating 9 more balls of lightning. She threw them in the same arch fashion, only a few aimed for the small spheres on the ground. The remaining balls of lightning went for Choru while the glass sphere exploded violently as they were touched by her magic, creating an uproar from below to prevent landing.

Zeek fluttered his 4 wings as the portal appeared, skidding halfway through before zipping back out. Coorta snorted and stomped her hooves, charging forward at Morke in a full gallop. Zeek hovered momentarily to figure out what just happened before contently staring back at Morke.
