Magnus listened to the dragons as they all spoke of how they had suffered under Gaevor's rule. Jason was right, they were all suffering, and they seemed relieved to finally let it out. Even the marrows, despite their ferocious and terrifying looks, they all shared the same story; of loss, pain and despair. Eventually, after the dragons had each told their particular story, Jason spoke again. Magnus listened carefully. Jason was right, in every way. He stood up, fighting the fact he was about to speak in front of the entire cave. He took a deep breath, before turning to the other dragons.

'When the war against Gaevor finally arrives, just remember, although we are against a powerful force, there is strength, and hope, in numbers. I will be, as I am sure you will be too, fighting Gaevor for not just our personal losses, but all other losses too. We shall show him that darkness, in whatever form, can be overridden. My father used to tell me that a successful warrior does not fight from the head, but from the heart. The stronger your inner will is, the stronger you will be on the battlefield.' He paused, catching his breath. 'We can overpower Gaevor. We can show him that power and numbers are no match for sheer willpower. I, and I'm sure this goes for all of you, too, want to see Enchantasia free again. And with Isthstaria by our side, we will make that happen.'

He bowed his head and settled back down on the rock. What he had just said was something he had wanted to say for ages. It was harder than he expected, but it was done. It turned out exactly like he'd hoped.

The cave filled with the agreement roars. As the small group dispersed slowly back to there area's Crusher came up to Magnus "And starting tomorrow, would you like to assist the others in taking supplys to the rebels? They could use our help in the morning." he said. "Also, you seem to be right at home here. You sure fit in that I can say." he said with a nod.

Jason smiled "I'll be helping with the supply's as well." he said after Crusher had finished talking. Then seemed to remember something just then but decided to talk about it later

Magnus nodded. 'I do feel at home here, more so than I did when I was wandering about the Resistance lands.' He looked around at the other dragons, now back to doing their personal things. 'Sure, I can assist in taking supplies to the rebels. They will be needing help after that fight.' He paused, shifting to a smoother area on the rock. Yes, they will be needing all the help they could get. As Magnus had found out, spending any length of time Gaevor's territory was dangerous. The rebels could very well be warding off CO's for much of the night.

Vrashay sighed. They had lost a few dragons to injury. They had fought valiantly. But in the end, they had a better, more dignified death then any CO could ever have. Fighting for freedom, and to dislodge a power hungry ruler. "Alright, the rest of us, move to night positions for ambushes. watch for those assassins maybe if we can catch one we can find out with really a threat or not." he explained. The around 40 remaining dragons nodded and split up in there groups.

Crusher nodded "CO's maybe converted but they get tired in the night like most normal dragons do. We'll help them stay alive. Its my shift tonight as well. You get some rest, tomorrow it'll be a lot of running in the heat. I don't want to lose you. I don't like losing anyone..." his voice trailed off towards the end of the line. He nodded then turned around with 5 or so joining him. He opened a small section of the door and the 5 left and he went after them.

Jason sighed "Hope he does not end up in a battle rage." he muttered.

'Me too...' Magnus said. He yawned and stretched. 'I suppose we should get some rest. You never know when we may be needed.' He curled up on the rock and let sleep take over. His eyelids grew heaveir and heaver, until finally they shut themselves and he fell asleep. And while he slept, he dreamt.

He was there, amidst an army of other dragons. He was hidden behind a rock, as we're a few others. Ambush hunters. The dragons were hissing among themselves, flashing the occasional sharpened fang or claw. Then one dragon, presumably the leader, roared, and he and the army charged out into a clearing. Magnus stayed where he was, gradually moving up as the battle progressed further away, as other ambush hunters brought down the occasional Converted. Magnus suddenly leapt out, hissing, all his claws ready and baring his fangs, at a converted, and bit its neck, killing it. He dropped the body and disappeared back into the shadows, slowely but surely making his way up towards Gaevor.

Then a flash of light appeared from the sky, and the Lady Isthstaria herself crashed down in front of the Resistence army. She towered over them all, and roared a deafening roar at Gaevor's army. The converteds immediatly fell back and were rapidly overpowered by the Resistance.

The next thing Magnus knew, he was locked in battle with Gaevor, and was thrown against a stone wall. He struggled to get to his feet, but Gaevor slammed his huge paw on Magnus, pinning him against the ground. The next moments were a blur of confusion; Gaevor towering above him, roaring, glaring with crazed fury, raising his other paw. Then he started to bring it down as Isthstaria was diving in behind him. Gaevor turned and screeched, the two dragons collided in a flash of light and a tremendous bang -

Magnus woke up with a start. He quickly glanced around, but all was quiet and dark in the cave. He felt himself; he was all in one piece. There was no war, no Gaevor standing there about to slaughter him. He let out a long breath. It was definitly a dream. A nightmare, more like. He turned over, wondering how late it was at night, and how Crusher was doing.

Jason nodded and settled down him self. He soon was sleeping away.

Crusher and his 5 others went into the forest after a freezing flight through the bad lands. They hit the forest with ease and where soon out of sight. Crusher spied through the leafs of the bushes his target, a wondering CO, most likely a scout, but a tough one, a stone type.

Vrashay was with a party of rebels and they also had seen the stone and where ready to ambush it. the stone had no idea sevral pairs of eye's where tracking it. Vrashay was about to give the order when a assasin was suddenly attacking the stone. Hit and run attacks. The attacker was strange one as well. Moved as fast a vamp yet almost looked like a bleached stone. The CO was being killed slowly but surely. It could only get a glimpse of its attacker before the dark of night would hide the attackers body. The rebels watched this go on for a bit then the stone fell. then the attacker was behind it then its tail was in its throat.

Crusher removed his tail then caught the glint of eye's in the moonlight. He looked up at the group and growled. Then they all dropped down and circled him. The Rebels seemed intent on trapping him. One stepped forward, most likely the.... ya the leader of the resistance forces in the area.

Vrashay stepped forward then paused. The assasin looked ready to vanish. Now that it was not flashing all over the place, it was.... a odd vamp type? "Who are you?" he asked. The odd dragon shot at him suddenly then was gone..... with the sound of tree leafs rustling a little. He looked at the others, one thing was claer now. this group, the assassins did not seem to be targetting the rebels. The group went back to position. Vrashay went back to his spot. Then he heard a whisper "The enemy shall be swallowed in there own shadows to make way for the light." it said. He looked in the direction only to see the assasins head vanish again.

Crusher left thhe group after saying his message. The rebel leader knew now that they had allies now though.

Magnus tossed and turned on the rock, trying to fall asleep again. After several minutes which felt like an eternity, he eventually gave up and dropped down off the rock, making his way to the cave entrance. Carefully and quietly, he removed one of the objects blocking it up. A hole opened, and Magnus instinctively drew back as a breeze of freezing air blew through. Fearing waking up the other dragons with it, but desperately wanting to see outside, he covered the hole and slipped his head through. Crusher and his group were nowhere to be seen. Magnus suddenly stiffened at the sound of a dragon's cries, carried clearly in the night air, then all was silent. The silence continued to reign for another few minutes. Magnus yawned and glanced at the sky. The clouds were far and few between, and those that were there were thin and wispy, slowely breaking into even smaller strands before finally disappearing. The moon was showing clearly; it wasn't even midnight. Magnus sighed, feeling extremely restless. Why, he did not know, but he assumed it was because he was concerned about Crusher and his group. Another freezing breeze blew across, and Magnus shivered. He moved back in, swiftly filling in the gap again, like he had seen the others do. He made his way back to his rock as quietly as he could; hard, because he was tired and cold. Eventually he made it, and flopped back onto it. He lay still for a moment, hearing another dragon grunt in its sleep and roll over. How was Crusher doing?

Leucetius remained gravely silent while the boy spoke, Sen herself stood as unmoving as a statue, her cold grace eerily resembling timeless stone.

"You have quite a large voice for such a small human." Remarked the great dragon, sparks scattered around his body in constant motion unable, or afraid to stop for fear of the light around him going out entirely. Darkenss can be a terrible and lonely thing once it begins to set in and Leucetius thought of this now while the boy's words ran around in his mind. "Hmmm." Came a rumble of reply but no words were said just yet.

Sen, though not a muscle twitched, was whirling around in her mind at a dizzying pace. The boy had said something unbelievably just then and Sen was growing wary of him and his terrible, impossible dreams. There was a very real reason that the former world of the human reign had been lain to waste and still laid deep beneath the earth now. It did not have any right to be resurrected...this boy, she thought to herself had learned of the human history in a rose colored way. Idly Sen wondered who could have deceived this child into believing that the lost human time was worth reliving...this time around history did not deserve to repeat itself.

Leucetius could gauge the general idea of what the human, Sen, was thinking and he nodded slowly, deeply and with great depth. She was very right.

"That...is not a promise I can make to you, it is not my right nor is it within my power. I'm afraid it is not even in the hands of Her." Leucetius gradually opened his eyes and raised his head to stare at the boy from down the bridge of his nose. "Human rose to it's former heights by it's own hands, hard work, sweat and blood and it fell by it's own hands, hard work, sweat and needless blood shed. To repeat such a gruesome lifestyle would be a curse in itself and would taint the peace of Enchantasia in a way that not even Gaevor could. Such things as 'inventions' and 'machines' can not be re-created in this time no matter how hard you try. One boy can not reproduce the impossible that was designed by many a man for many a year. They could fabricate dreams and sew them into reality like small hands of fates but tampering with that which is more than necessary to survive in balance is the quickest and surest way to deign on your own miserable demise...Do you understand my words, child? Even if I wanted to and even if I had the power to grant your request...I would not. Even so, will you help us?"

Leucetius felt a pang of remorse and of guilt as he looked on at the young boy. Theses two feelings played hand in hand for crushing this child's dreams before they had a chance to truly flourish and bask in the light of hope and relish in the lavish sea of endless possibilities. How sad...yet it was necessary. Such a frightening and forbidden thing to wonder about the worlds of past.

"Please also keep in mind that I ask you of your help simply because I believe you humans deserve a part in reclaiming your own lives and standing up for your right to live freely. I do not ask you for your help with the intention of owing you any favors in return for it. You help out of your own self-interest and little more. Helping us in our cause benefits you in it's own ways and that is all there is to be gained out of this for you. I am not obligated in any way to give you compensation. Sensilirosa knows this and so do many of the human and animals already willing to help us. You must be aware of this too if you choose to help."

That was the truth, too and the boy needed to be aware of that. The dragons did not need to ask this one individual for help but they did so out of courtesy to the human's own rights as living beings. Nothing more. Perhaps, due to their own relationships the dragon's would specifically protect the child and Sen but it was best to know that the dragon's were indeed working for the sake of their beloved land right to live as much as any other. They were equals and in no way in debt to any others simply by fighting for what was theirs by birth.

Crusher and the 5 others entered the cave of there home as the mountains began to light up with the morning sun behind them. Jason looked up as they entered the cave and went up to Crusher "What is happening over there?" he asked and Crusher settled down before answering "The CO's are thickening. I want scouts watching the rebels at all times. As soon as the CO's attack I want us to be ready. Are the supply's ready for travel?" he asked and Jason nodded "Yes they are."

Vrashay returned to base camp in the forest with his group. The other groups where already there. "Did anything happen while you where out?" he asked them. "We spotted a number of scouts, though they where all killed off by those killers. With the lighting of the moon, its hard to make out what those killers are." one group leader reported. The others had similar sightings. "We got a look at one, and it seemed to state there allies. It could have killed me and my group but it left with something to do with the shadows eating them selfs or something making way for light." Vrashay said. The others nodded "But like you all, I'd rather meet there leader to make sure. Still, with all the CO scouts I want everyone who can raise a claw ready." he said. Today, another day to survive.

(( let's see if this post is better than my last two. I've been totally bleh for the last few days ))

Magnus woke up suddenly, seeing the light coming through the now unblocked entrance to the cave. He took a double take; he didn't recall seeing the entrance being opened, or the sun rising. When had he fallen asleep? But that didn't matter, what mattered now was Crusher was back with news. Groggily, Magnus got to his feet and dropped down onto the ground, making his way over towards Crusher, who had now settled down. Magnus stood and listened until a particular sentence caught his attention. The CO's were thickening...that was bad news. Without thinking too deeply, he raised himself up a bit.

' I could help watch the rebels, if you like.'

He immediately shut his mouth, half-wishing he hadn't said that. But he also wanted to help protect the very group that could tip the odds in their favour during the war. Either way, it was done now, all he could do now is to see what Crusher thought.

Crusher looked up at Magnus and tilted his head "I thought you wanted to help with supplying the rebels. Also your wing is still healing and if your spotted scouting you don't have much way to escape if they come for you." He said shaking his head "Though I do have one idea, your familer with the rebels, you used to live in there land. I need someone they may know to act as a emissary or messenger." he said looking at Magnus "I made contact with there leader last night. The group that is holding out. How ever I do not wish to expose the group. You how ever already have been known by both sides. You'll have an escort in case things get ugly as well." he said "You can help supply them as well as help us communicate with out revealing our self's too greatly."

Jason looked from Crusher to Magnus. He did not see this coming.

Magnus shifted his wing, mildly annoyed, but also slightly relieved. He considered the next option more thoroughly; he wasn't going to make any rash decisions this time.

'A messenger? Sure, I could handle that.' He thought a bit more. 'With some preparing, and after telling me what to do and what not to do, I can do that.'

He knew this was a major responsibility he was taking on, and all of a sudden his shoulders felt a bit heavier; like his workload had made a definite increase. He had to keep this group secret, and the other safe. He would need some tutoring, certainly.

Crusher smiled a little "That well, non of us was a messenger before of this sort." he said "But I'll tell you what I can. May not be much or helpful but well its better then nothing." he said "You do as I said you have been known by both sides making you the best one for the job. Resistance knows you, CO's know of you. I'll have a marrow escort you, or if you wish and he agrees you could have Jason is your escort." he explained "As for talking, avoid any direct mention of us. Be vague. Only details of new proposed plans they may offer. For now you'll mainly be our messanger. If we have something to say we tell you and you tell them. If they want to talk to us they wait for you.... or we find a place for you to check every now and then." he said thinking as he spoke.

Jason looked at Magnus "The closest we've come to is a mail dragon. But he died in a batched raid." he said looking down a bit.

During the battle ensuing near the mouth of Death Day's Pass, Fidelria was stuck on guard duty. For Isthstaria? Oh she might of liked as much but no, she was stuck guarding her one true enemy; Gaevor. She was made to execute menial tasks and chores, fetch him his food, his maidens and his entertainments. Fidelria was definitely not enjoying this but you would not have been able to tell.

As soon as the CDs retreated from the battle Gaevor went into a rage and sent everyone away, including Fidelria.

Taking that chance, Fidelria began trying to sense were Azmodius was...without much luck but she did have a bit of an idea of the only place he could go to get away from the CDs.

Fidelria took to the air and glided in an unpredictable pattern to make it seem like she was patrolling.

(Gah, really don't wanna write, but you guys are waiting on me. Please disregard the cruddiness.)

Robby listened to the words of the dragon. He had never heard of that part of the story. Either way, he was going to find a way, either in his life or his desendants, to re-make the marvelous designs. In all, that still requires him to team with the dragons.

"I'll do it."

Magnus nodded. It all seemed quite straightforward. He then thought whether to have Jason as an escort. After all, they had both come to know each other quite well, and should be able to work together fine. He looked at Jason sideways enquiringly, not sure how to put it in words. He then turned back to Crusher.

'I shall take that on.'

He was concerned about the fact that he could be caught by CO's and killed, but he quickly pushed that out. Chances of that happening were very slim. He turned, glancing at Jason, then stretched a bit. He strode around the cave wall, excited. Finally! After not doing much since joining the group, he actually had a role! Next step was to consult Jason. If he preferred not to go, a marrow would be another good choice. At least it would be able to blend into the darkness more. He paused, thinking. Jason could be put off because he'd show up at night. Still, one can only ask.

Crusher nodded "Alright, in the mean time," he paused sanding back up to address the cave "Lets get started on getting the supply's to the rebels." he said grabbing a coconut filled with water with the lid tied on to prevent the water from escaping as well as a bundle of herbs. "Those that know how to trade with the humans, let them know where planning on aiding the fight against the CO's. But we'll need there help. Everyone else, grab some supply's and drop them off near by the rebel camp. Magnus, your first message is to tell the rebel commander that supply's are around them." he said.

Jason came up beside Magnus "And yes, just next time, just ask." he said wing a joking bat with his wing. "I may lack for arms, but that means nothing."

Azmodius crept forward and froze as a shadow fell over him. Daring to look up, he breathed a sigh of relief as he recognized the petite figure of Fidelria. With a powerful kick from his legs he flew up to meet her, then assumed a position slightly behind her on her left flank. To anyone below, he looked to be merely giving a report. "I'm sure you've heard already we had to retreat," he said without turning his head. "I found my friend. Apparently there's a neutral group in the pass. They're the ones picking the converts off. They may help us," he said hopefully. The Resistance's numbers were failing after the multitude of battles; they could really use all the help they could get. Banking slightly to keep up with her, Azmodius murmured, "Do we have a plan?"

Fidelria remained utterly in control of herself as a figure crept up along her left flank before leveling out. The voice was recognized before the face simply because Fidelria didn't look until after she was sure it was safe to. Sparing a glance she smiled at him. "Indeed and Gaevor is none to happy about the retreat. He threw everyone out of at least a 200 mile radius of himself while he smolders alone to the failings of his tyranny."

Fidelria fell silent a moment letting the smile fade from her eyes as it was scarcely allowed to linger on her lips in this uncertain territory of Gaevor's. When she spoke again, she had fallen back by several feet so she could come nearly wing to wing to Azmodius and her voice was only heard thanks to the wind carrying it to the ember.

"Isthstaria would see us once more."

Magnus turned to listen, taking in everything that was said, particularly the message he had to give. As a sign he heard and understood, he dipped his head slightly, then resumed listening. The war was definitly approaching; faster than he expected. If this wing didn't heal in time, it would present a bit of a problem.
