Warfare of the Salizdorian Races

((Connor and Arie went to Connor's house to get her a disguise. Artaxes broke into Connor's house for some reason. (?) Arie made a nice gash in Artaxes's leg with her sword, and he went limping down the hallway to escape. That's it so far.))

Arie exhaled, realizing she had been holding her breath. She softly uttered to Connor, "Thanks for the cover." and flashed him a grim smile. "Clearly I need that disguise quickly. Lets see what you've got in here..." She walked down the hallway, her heavy boots emanating a dull thud as she went. She walked into the lab, trading carefully around the piles of blueprints and bits of cogs and springs. There were several experiments clearly running: A rat in a cage that's fur was turning turquoise starting from the head working its way down to the tail. In an aquarium was a small frog that's flesh had turned clear, and the insides were clearly visible. She shuddered, moving on to the pastes and various fabrics. "Lets get started. What is the style of clothing around here? If I'm going to blend in, attire is to be included." Waiting for a response, she began glancing over the jars. She picked one that was a bronze tone that would cover up her grey nicely. "Do you have any fabrics or thread? I could make my own clothing."

Connor realised the guards still had guns pointed at the nomad. " Honestly look at her. She doesn't have the characteristics of a nomad. On the truth, she was an old lab test. Volunteer without a use so I left..." Connor noticed the guards had left, in order to avoid Connor's inevitable fake bragging. He walked towards Arie who seemed to be unphased by what had just happened. " Well Arie, I don't usually knit. But of course I would have some fine clothing. I have been trying to make new bodies you know." Connor pulled off all the clothing of one of the lady bots. " Might have a few rips, but their was just a dragon attack. Nobody'll ask." Connor finished. He looked around his house and realised the bot room hadn't been touched. He kept away for the moment and turned his attention to Arie. He picked a karge yet light peice of wood and handed that and the clothes to Arie. " Just for privacy since you want to change."

Freedom. That was his first thought when he heatbutted the doors with his horns, they flew opened with a defeating crash noise. Artaxes dragged himself outside while limping, a trail of rudy red blood stalked him down the steps. Senseing the light touching his scales warmly, he lunged into the sky like a rocket with a few powerful strokes of his wings. That didn't go too- Ouch! He felt a sharp whip of pain though his large wound on his leg. Artaxes covered one of his claws over his large bleeding gash as he flew higher. Already the city was getting smaller as he flown up futher away from it, the wind was rushing past his face, rustling noise filled his ears and it got colder and colder as the wind got more strong and the air became chilly. He glided into the cloud-less sky, scanning the area below him. It was an emerald forset filled with small citters wondering around, he was temped to go down to hunt but his leg gave him another snap of pain, reminding him to get it healed before doing anything else. The black dragon muttered a small curse under his breath, it got carried away in the wind so no one but himself could hear it.

He saw the camp in the middle of a large clearing of the forset, smoke filled the air from the burn't up wood. Artaxes felt the eyes locked into him as he circled the camp like a shark before doing a crash landing near one of their tents. Yells and voices filled his ears as he pulled himself up quickly, Nomads dashed towards him but not to scare him off, but to cheak on him.

"Are you alright, Artaxes?" one of them asked him, keeping his distane away from the dragon. Artaxes didn't say anything, he just held his claw around his bleeding arm. "Were is the boy?" the male nomad asked him, his friends were coming to see cheak out the noise. They stood besides him as they kept on staring at Artaxes.

"Couldn't get him," he answered in an icy tone. His claw tighten around his wound, trying to stop the bleed. Artaxes shook his head once to send some dirt flying off himself. "Human machine weopans and Nomad swords drove me off, just escaped with a wounded leg."

"Nomad sword? You mean someone of our own kind rebelled againest us?!" someone from the crowd shouted out. All eyes were on him and he backed away a little neriously, being slightly embassed by being stared at too much at the same time.

"Yes," Artaxes answered slowly. "Cheak my wounds for proof." He removed his claw away from his leg cut and more Nomads crept closer to get a better look.

((I'm really sorry about my recent inactivity. My degree kicked in and I had to give a presentation at the local secondary school - that's a high school, for the Americans here - about the Uncertainty Principle, Godel's Incompleteness Theorem and the Toronto Weak Measurement doctrine. One of the ballistic chairs caught me in the temple and I fully intend to press charges. Common assault, ABH, criminal negligence on the staff's part, whatever I can possibly think of. Again, my apologies; I should have a proper post up soon. Probably.))

((That's okay, we all get busy sometimes biggrin.gif))

Sphy sighed again, glad that Artaxes was gone, but silently hoping that he did not hurt himself in his explorations. He turned back to Kaeti and Lief, and asked, "Would you mind if I kept traveling with you? It is lonely by myself, and if Artaxes comes back, you are pretty much defenseless against him. Or any other dragon for that matter." He uttered a short laugh, releasing the tension that had bottled up inside of him. Kaeti relaxed, glad that the sinister black dragon had left. "We would be glad if you would join us," she replied for both of them, as Lief nodded his assent. "Good. I was afraid that you might not trust me because of Artaxes. It is good to know that you do not judge me for who I know." Lief and Kaeti swung up onto their mounts, and Sphy took off, scratching the ground with his pristine claws. "We need to get moving," Lief gestured to the path and nudged his horse into a trot, "We have much ground to cover."

Jason wears Steel Eagle power armor with a helmet armed with an assault rifle and walks down the same path that Sphy is taking "Well this is a nice day aside from all the conflicts between us and the mutants." Jason says as he stops by a tree and leans against it to absorb the scenery "Man i wish it was this green all the time." Jason says as he hears the sound of hoofs and looks at Sphy and co. "Ah fellow travelers. Hello!" Jason yells and waves to the group then attaches the assault rifle to the back to his power armor and crosses his arms as he leans against the tree looking at the group

Arie graciously took the clothes and board. "Umm, thanks. I think I'll just change in another room." She gripped the pot of bronze skin tone and walked into the bathroom. She changed into her new attire, not entirely comfortable being so exposed, unlike her own people. Then wherever he skin was exposed, she applied a thick layer of paste. Then, she saw the contacts case. She picked up the colored lens and applied them to her irises. Then she looked in the mirror, shocked at the transformation. Her usual full body coverings were replaced with a purple V-neck tee, arm bracers, cargo camouflage pants, and a simple silver chain with a small silver heart. Her boots however, remained. Instead of dusty grey cracked skin, she had warm, tan skin like a sun kissed human's. Her eyes instead of silvery white were dark brown to match her skin. Instead of her hair being pulled into a tight ponytail, it spilled down around her shoulders with gentle waves and caressed her face. Her hair was jet black. She grinned. She had always wondered what it was like to look like a human. They looked so soft and beautiful. Time for the finishing touches. She walked out back into the ruined kitchen and found some pigmented bright red berries. Then, she smashed them into a smooth paste on one of Connor's cutting boards. She then took a small circular tub and squished it inside. Makeshift lip color. She dipped her finger into it and rubbed it over her lips while looking in the mirror. Perfect. Then she walked back into the lab. "Connor! Is it sufficient?"

"Be carefull with that-" Artaxes's voice was cut off with his own screech in pain when the Nomad poured the boiling water onto his wounds. He shot back up onto his feet but some Nomads were pinning him down. The dragon fell back down in defeat, a low growl was rumbling though his lips.

"Sorry, hot water kills off the germs," the healer told him. He spreaded the circle looking leafs over his leg and removed them after they got wet. The nomad snatched a cloth from the desk and wiped his wound clean. It looked like Artaxes was in a blanket of Nomads as they held his claws, tail and neck down. Artaxes tried his best to not fight them off him cause he knew that they were just trying to help him. He kept on moving around too much so they had no choice but to pin him down as they tried to fix his leg.

"Why so close to the human city?" the black dragon asked them, trying to get his mind off the pain. The healer spreaded more leafs onto his wounds and cleaned away the dried up blood with his wet cloth. They were in one of the larger tents in the Nomad camp. Outside the tents were covered in bushes and leafs to find theirselfs. Artaxes could still smell the cheese and freahly baked bread from the human city whom he attacked before.

"Your leg is fixed now," the healer told him as he removed away the leafs again, ignoreing his question. Artaxes felt his blanket of Nomads get removed and they backed away to give him room. "Don't stand up, you're too tall," the healer reminded him. Artaxes didn't say anything back and crawled out of the tent swiftly. His leg wasn't hurting anymore thanks for the healing works of the Nomads. But he didn't say thank you back to them, after all, they were the ones that sent him on the mission after all. He sat down near the camp fire, staring at the blaze of the burning up wood as its light slimmered onto his jet black scales.

Garth had just finished saddling up Flick and had filled five of his mechanical silver soldiers up with perpetual steam to serve as his escorts. He had decided to visit a fellow inventor as he needed some help with his current contract with the army. He had fallen behind on the manufacturing of his troops and since he would not take on an apprentice since he was still young. He placed his goggles over his clear blue eyes and signaled for the troops to follow his Oocala as it flipped it's head and squaked once before headed out of the giant doors leading to Garth's underground "factory" which also served as his house.

After a while Garth saw Connor's house and picked up the pace, while Garth signaled for one of his escorts to raise his banner which had the emblem of two wrenchs encircled with a spring and cog. "I just hope his is home or else this trip is in vain." Garth muttered to himself as his Oocala flipped it's painted head and started moving even faster.

Connor took a good look at Arie. " Wow. Just... wow. I've never seen anybody as beautiful as that. " Connor looked around to check for intruders." So a dragon attacks then escapes. Not usual. Oh, back to what we were doing before, do you want to go for a meal no-" Connor looked out the hole in the roof to find an Oocala " Not now! A dragon just attacked! Stay away!" Connor shouted at him. He noticed shiny things on the floor that were only noticeable to the light of the sky. " Guards. Dragon scales are a- I have a pack of dragon scales. I'll give them to you if you rebuild my house. " The guard captain took them and sent a messenger to the local architect. He walked away without a word and returned to normal duties. " So what do you say to a meal now?" Connor asked.

Artaxes sat down into the patch of grass with the light from the fire glimmering onto his jet black scales. His cold red eyes narrowed onto the healer whom fixed his leg before heading straight towards him. The Nomad pulled to a stop when he was close enough for them to create a speech. He took a look at the dragon before sitting besides it, facing towards the fire. Artaxes didn't move his eyes away from him. Behide him he could hear snoring of the Nomads sleeping in the tents.

"Why not just steal his machine blueprints?" he asked him in an icy tone. Artaxes's tail wrapped around himself for warmth.

The healer didn't move his head back towards him to answer, "we already sent someone to get him or the blueprints, but she never came back. I believe that she got killed or caught. No spys lasted long out there." He lean back in till he was facing the stars on his back. "So what did that Nomad looked like, Artaxes?" He asked him, Artaxes can feel tease inside of him.

"It was female, her eyes were hiden in something. Her skin as pasty white and had hair like silver," he answered back to the nomad. Artaxes liked how the Nomads treated him like one of them, unlike the humans that treat him like an wild beast on the loose and try to kill him on sight.

"There isn't much Nomads with pasty white skin," he spoke sounding ancient. He had that look on his face were it looked like he was thinking about something importent. "I must speek with the boss of this camp," he muttered as he pulled himself back up onto his leather shoes. Walking away to leave Artaxes alone besides a fire place with a disburbing snoring noise in the tents.

Garth's Oocala stopped infront of Connor's house and his soldiers formed a semicircle around him as he climbed off Flick. He left the reins with one of his mechanical soldiers and pulled his goggles off while he walked towards the door. Is is going to be a complete waste of time if he's not here, but I'm desperate. He thought to himself as he lifted his hand and proceeded to knock on the door.

((um... oops... sorry for being so late posting, knight. My fault))

Lief's eyes widened in surprise when, after the usual pleasantries (with Kaeti talking), the human seemed to have some kind of message. Sphy overheard the intercom, and his eyes widened too, as he had landed beside his friends. "A black dragon?" he asked, astonished, then quickly muttered after, "Artaxes. Let me come with you! I think I know this dragon you are searching for." He stepped forward, and his tail twitched nervously in anticipation of a fight. "We will come too," Lief added, gesturing to himself and Kaeti.

((Tiffasy.... She didn't have on the human disguise. Contacts don't mix the color of your eyes... they cover it. Completely. All nomads have grey eyes as well... Sigh.))

Arie's cheeks flushed with color due to Connor's flattery, although under the paste it wasn't visible. "Why... why thank you. And yes, a meal seems necessary. I haven't eaten in a day or two. After you." She smiled and waited for Connor to continue out to the street. "Are we to take the front door, or the new door the dragon made for you?" She said laughing lightly.

Connor looked at the hole. " Tiled or wooden?" Connor laughed a bit himself. He put his hand around his chin and gave a thinking look. He wondered an actually good place in town that wasn't fancy but wasn't dirty. " I got just the place. Its called ' The New Bot.' Its an old place and though its a bit weird around the owner and bar tender at first, the feeling never goes away. But if you have the money, they'll get you a room with a great menu and even a few foreign foods or maybe foods you might like or see.Maybe a few others. Oh and don't order from the elf there. He hates humans and might poison you or will sell you out in an instant if you show yourself." Connor walked out of his now shack-like house. He took a right and barely made 10 steps before coming to the door. He opened it and a bell rang. He gave a salute and a wall at the other end swung open. It re-attached it self to the other wall and didn't move. He walked in to meet an elf,a human, and a nomad server. Each one had a back story but the guards kept away without any trouble. He sat down on a smooth leather chair/bench. He waited for Arie to come, hoping she would like the place. It had glowing lights on the left but calm and smooth music on the right. In the middle were the rooms which had both music and room service. The elf looked almost asleep if he were not moving. The human was washing some dishes in back as you could here the hum of a loader. And the nomad was bulky, almost complete muscles. He stood near the dance stage to the left with the music. Connor sat their waiting.

((I'll edit my last post before going on v.v))

A long black tail swished around in the grass boredly, his eyes scanned around the camp for something to enlighten himself or entertain himself. Daylight wasn't too far away as the night slowly passed. Artaxes can hear the tents rustling as Nomads climbed out of their tent doors, they were all still wearing their amour and their weopans were in their belts. They were getting much used towards the dragon in their camp, they didn't throw stares at him like they used to as they wondered around looking for something to do. A crash of metal noise filled their ears, everyone jerked their heads towards the two Nomads fighting with swords. Straight away they knew that it was a spar battle and everyone inculding Artaxes walked over to watch them. One of them was a female while the other was a male, the female seemed much more agile and fast while the male seemed to be strong and powerfully built. Cheers filled the air when the male managed to strike the female Nomad down and slamed his sword down onto her, just in time the female managed to envade the attack and kick him away before rolling back onto her feet.

A sharp tap was felt on his claw, the black dragon looked away from the fight to see the healer tapping on his claw for his attention. "What do you want?" he asked him in his icy tone.

"I-"

"This better be importent," he grumbled as he just inrupted the healer. Folding his tail around himself like a scaft around his legs.

"Well okay," the healer just cleared his throat before going on. "How long are you staying here? You need to get back onto your mission."

"I want proof that you have my gold, cause if you're lying..."

"Of cause we have your gold! Its back at the main base, waiting for you. Look, we need the boy if we want any chance of winning this war. I don't care if you came back with him handless or legless, we just need to get inside of the human's amazing mind and discover their secerts. As long as he is still alive," the healer told him. "Or...you could just steal his blueprints."

"Or...maybe not. I kind of destoryed his house no thanks for you. Now I want my gold ready for me when I come back with him." Artaxes did a strong flap of his wings without lifting into air as if he was sretching them. Cheers filled his ears as he heard the battle of the two Nomads ended.

"Just don't come back without him."

Sphy nodded at the human as Kaeti stepped up and shook the his hand, "I'm Kaeti, the elf is Lief, and the dragon is Sphy. Nice to meet you."

After waiting for Kaeti to finish the introductions, he stepped up and placed his claw gently in the male's outstretched hand. "I know about your black dragon, whose name is Artaxes, by the way, because he is my broodmate from when we were hatchlings. He is a fearsome enemy, but if given the chance could become a powerful ally. That is, if he can overcome his love of gems and wealth to do the right thing."

Jason says as he pulls his hand back after feeling the scales of Sphy's claw "That felt weird though i have touched a hatchling before and gave her back to her mother i mean that was a good doing i did that day." Jason says as he rubs his hand from the feeling and looked at Leif "Quiet type are you?" Jason says as he looks north "Anyway we best get moving if we want to get to the Nomad camp." Jason says as he walks north to the Nomad camp with assault rifle in hand

Artaxes skreched his wings out like a kite. Pulling himself onto his claws and rolled his shoulders, getting ready to take flight.

"One last thing," the healer quickly spoke, holding his hand out to reach the dragon to make sure that it doesn't take off. "You are one of the most wanted dragons around these areas, how are you going to protect yourself? They see you as an outlaw or something. Everyone would be hunting you down."

Artaxes folded his wings to his sides and signed lowly, knowing that he had a lot of explaining to do. He turned back towards the Nomad and looked right into his pitch black eyes and spoke "they arn't wrong. I am a Outlaw to them after all. I murdered, stealed, and kiddnapped." He paused for a second before going on in his icy tone, "I am one of the most wanted dragons after all. Big rewards for killing and even more for capture so they could show me off like a little dragon in chains and as a trophy. Still, I survined the dangers, I survined my greed for gold. I survined being a dragon. Never been caught, never. No binds can hold me. Now if you excuse me, I have some buiness to do," he turned away from the Nomad Healer, spreading his black leathery wings wide. The dawn light gleamed onto them beauifully as it got spreaded wider and wider.

"Report to us as soon as you got any news," the nomad healer nodded as he backed away to give the dragon some room for flight. Artaxes took one last look at him before shooting off like a arrow being fired from a bow. Soaring straight into the sky, out of the trees and the camp. He wasn't heading straight back towards the human village, he was heading south back home...

Arie nodded, following Connor a surprisingly short distance away from his home to a door in the middle of a wall with a bell at the side and one of those small windows opened by sliding piece of wood on and off the frame. Connor rang the bell and saluted to seemingly no one, and the door swung open. They walked inside and it shut behind them, almost in an eerie way. She followed Connor to a half circle leather booth next to the wall with a table in the center. They sat at opposite ends, waiting for a server.

Connor waited for the human to come over, not wanting to bother the elf or disturb the nomad. " What would you like tonight sir?" Connor pulled out a leather wallet. It was filled to the brim with cash. All hundred dollar bills. He also had a few pictures of what the personalities would like to look like and names above them but he didn't want to take them out. "Yes. We'd like a room with two beds and a pay-per-view TV thing. Wow. I don't know my tech stuff for entertainment things do I?" He asked himself. " Any specific style sir?" He asked nicely. He could see a lot of things including Connor's close to pimped out wallet. " No, thank you though. Unless you can kind of combine a nomad/ human kind of-" Connor remembered that though this place a most species and isn't racist, they aren't very intelligent on that part. They only have the word of the two species and they weren't the best. The human walked away with a smile and a greedy cackle. The nomad gave Arie a few looks, as if she was a nomad but it was hard to tell with the shades he wore. The elf seemed to notice that and wrote a few notes down. Though he might just get the pay. " So what would you like Arie?"

Arie stuttered a bit. "A room? Why aren't we staying in your house? And, whats on the menu?" While waiting for Connor to hand over the menu, she glanced around the room. Each server was a different race, which was odd considering each race hated each other. She shrugged internally, whether they risked their necks to live here was their choice. Her gaze continued to analyze the room, an impulse from training to look for possible escapes in case something bad happened. It seemed there was only the stairs which led to a long hallway she assumed, and the front door which looked impossible to break down without undoing all the locks and switches. She tensed as there was a loud crash and a scream from one of the upper rooms in the hall. She jumped to her feet, drew her sword, and sprinted up the stairs. The screaming continued as she ran around the corner to find a door open a slight crack that was emanating the horrid screech. Arie slammed her shoulder into the door and burst into the room. It took her eyes a second to adjust to the brightness, and then she saw him. Sucrow. He had a vicious grin on his face and was leaning against the wall holding a player that made the screaming she heard. Arie stumbled backwards, trying to escape, but the door slammed shut behind her. She rattled the knob hopelessly trying to open the door. Locked from the outside. Sucrow stood to his full height, ridiculously tall for his kind. The size of an elf. He looked to the window with an ominous smile dancing across his lips. He twirled his staff, spinning the golden cobra with ruby eyes at the top. Few knew the full extent of the secret weapons and compartments it contained. Arie was one of them. His most trusted officer before she left. Retractable blade in the bottom, entangling net in the shaft, poisoned knife hidden in the cobra's mouth, and many more deadly surprises. Not good. She was screwed, but maybe she could take him down with her. She had to try. His voice was smothered in sweetness, the kind of sweet that made you shudder. It was like a cradle song, soothing and gentle. "Hello, Arie. Long time no see. I've been tracking you since you left. You've been a busy girl."

"Not as busy as when you were sending me to complete your disgusting shameful whims." She snapped back.

"Fair enough, but you should be ashamed. Betraying your own people. Aiding the humans as if you wanted to be one of them. Your-"

"Maybe I want to be one of them." At this, Sucrow seemed taken aback.

"Those ugly smooth skins? Please, Arie. No nomad with any sense of pride would want to be one of them."

"Maybe so. But I lost my pride long ago when I joined your ranks." She spat at his feet. "You disgust me."

"Come now, don't be like that. You shouldn't be rude to your superiors you know." The ruby eyes of the cobra began to glow, and her throat began to tighten. Arie took a last gasp of breath and charged Sucrow, slashing at his neck. He nimbly dodged her with ease and it felt like a noose had tightened around her neck. She started sputtering and choking, succumbing to the lack of oxygen. Yellow and red spots danced across her vision, and her senses began to fade. The last thing she muttered before she went black was, "Help me... Connor...".
