The Agnimitra

Recommended Posts

Shadow followed Koi, staying in the clouds below her, using her shadows to create a cover that wasn't to far from a cloud to begin with. She flew a bit faster, still in the clouds but lower this time, suspecting the others could be in them as well. Shadow didn't want to run into them literally so she lowered herself a little more, keeping tabs on Koi's position. She would give cover to Koi if the other needed it, knowing the clouds could mix with shadows quite well.

Shadow flew a bit faster, trying to sense where Arasi was. She could feel her a little but not as strongly as Shadow would like. They needed to find these three before they go to far. Shadow would fly as far as she had to if it meant getting everyone back where they belonged.

Yue listened in to the conversation the two were having, staying silent as usual. He could sympathize with Arasi. But, he would not have let himself join the army. He would have much rather have been killed. He thought back to when the Dark Dragon's army attacked his home. When he escaped with his brother only to have him taken away from him. Back when he was too weak to fight them off and get him back. Of course now he was a lot stronger than before and able to hold his own against another Agnimitra as he had done countless times before...but...he couldn't help but feel a little guilt though. He felt that he was at least slowing them down because of his injuries. He cursed mentally, cursing himself as well as that dragon, Koi, who had caused this to happen in the first place. He hated being a liability to anyone at any time, especially now since they were trying to escape. He hung on a bit tighter to the other dragon as the flew. He wasn't really in any danger of falling off at the moment, it was more in anger that he was relying on someone else rather than himself. He thought it made him seem weak. And being unable to hold his own against Koi, a water dragon, only seemed to confirm his apparent weakness. He was roused out of his thoughts when Bane told him to crouch down against him, nodding and obeying the order.

Sayuk having been forced into silence simply looked around while turning in circle. He was searching for something, anything, that could give him a good point to know where he will be eventually. He didn't want to get lost in the Artic and have to suffer Midnight longer then necessary. Once he found it he started flying deeper into the cold taking more and more speed against the harsh wind as he looked on the ground for ANY kind of anomalies. After a while the area he was flying over was more covered in thick ice and many large and deep crevice were covering the ground. He disliked the place, but he was very tired and needed to rest his wings, which had not moved in way too long.

Turning his muzzle to the ground he started losing altitude. Once closer to the ground he quickly opened his wings once more to slow down then landed his back paws on the ground before putting his front ones. The landing was a tad brutal though and some of the ice near a crevice gave way making his leg back pas go down with it partially taking his equilibrium and forcing him to make a sudden movement not to fall. He also took that opportunity to cover his scale under Sen and his spike near him with a thin ice layer to make it even harder for him to keep a hold and make him fall. Out of spite for his glares and Midnight. It did not go against anything she had forbid him to do. He was just making him fall by using his power on himself. He took a look back to see the result.

For as long as they can, which can be a very long time, Arasi answered his question. By the way, what names do you two go by?

She wanted to be able to call them by name to make things easier instead of "hey you" or something like that. She glanced behind her to see any signs of Koi or Shadow behind them, as well as feeling for their presence. They were defintely being followed by the two and right now their only hope was to out-fly them. If they couldn't lose Koi and Shadow by the time they reached the northern shores of Australia, then they would have to try and hide in the Indonesian islands.

Right now it didn't seem like they would over take the three, but Koi would continue to follow them until they completely lost the trail of them. Right now, Koi could still tell the general area the three were in and follow that to keep up with them.

Shadow, do whatever you can to try and slow them down, she commanded the other. There wasn't much Koi herself could do, but if they were able to get closer she could use the water in the clouds to attack the trio ahead of them.

---

((lol Skarx you posted while I was working on mine XD))

Midnight didn't say anything as Sayuk descended, figuring his wings must just be getting tired from not having used them in a long while. There was no harm in him resting them for a moment and instead walk for part of the ways during their search.

She clung tightly when he slipped, preferring not to fall off. When she saw Sayuk look back at them Midnight at first thought he was checking to see if they were still there. Of course, he wouldn't do that so why was he looking back in the first place. Midnight whipped her head around to see what he was looking towards.

Inazuma kept himself from falling when Sayuk almost fell down a crevice. Then for some reason, Sayuk was staring back at them and then Midnight was turning her head to look behind her as well. Confused, Inazuma also looked behind him as he wondered what was going on.

Alright... Shadow responded to Koi, pumping her wings harder before skimming the underside of the clouds, her shadows creating what seemed to be a continuation of it though. She wasn't too sure what help shadows would be aside from cover and perhaps blinding someone. Fire though would come in handy if one of the others used it though she would be careful not to kill them.

Shadow flew as fast as she could, sensing Arasi getting closer. Good... She thought, flying more silently now. One good thing for her was she had mastered the art of what she called silent-flying let alone surprising them. Shadow slowed a little, sensing what seemed to be three presences and one of them certainly was Arasi. That probably meant the other two were the escapees since she didn't recognize their feeling. Shadow was careful not to be too close to give them away but at least she was close enough to get better tabs on these three. I do believe I've found them and Arasi, miss. Shadow relayed back to Koi, careful to keep it strictly under radar in case anyone was searching for a sign of someone following. Though Shadow guessed they knew already that they were being pursued.

Sen felt himself slipping.... slipping into the crevice as Sayuk landed hard on the ice. "DAMMMMMNNNNNNNNNNNNNN YOOOUUUUU SAYUK" he called, as the pack caught on the spike and he slipped through the straps. He transformed into this dragon form, desperately clawing at the slick ice walls, trying to stop his descent. His claws bounced off the solid, slippery ice, and Sen continued falling into the black crevice. The world above, represented in a streak of light above him, was disappearing rapidly as Sen fell farther and farther. Now even a dragon wouldn't be able to manuever down here, as the walls were closing in. And still, Sen was falling downwards. The light above was now just barely a crack, and he was surrounded by darkness. He tried vainly again to puncture the wall with his claws, and managed to slow his fall just a little bit. Then the force of him falling wretched his claws out of their handhold and he kept falling. Sen closed his eyes, and finally, with a loud -CRUNCH-, he hit the sloping ice wall. It had curved inwards, and Sen turned back into a human on reflex, sliding downwards. Well, at least he wasn't falling anymore. Great. He was falling down a crevice, something he had been dreading ever since he had heard they were going to Antartica. "WHHYYYY MEEE GODDDDD?" his voice echoed up the slippery ice walls, the sound bouncing all over and echoing back at him. Why, him, out of all the rest of the others, had been the one who just had to fall down a crevice? "Fate must hate me. Yep, that's it. Stupid gods, they must be laughing about this right now." Sen muttered, crossing his arms. He continued to descend into the darkness, which, apparently, was getting darker. Wait a moment. How can darkness get darker? If I think about it, it's physically impossibl-WHAM. Sen smashed into a wall, almost breaking his glasses, and started cursing at the top of his lungs. If his mother had been there, she would have gasped at all the colorful language he had learned after he had grown up. Finishing the long string of words Midnight probably would have slapped him for, Sen stood up, rubbing his face, which was what had collided with the wall. He was stuck at the bottom of a crevice, and his rations pack had been left with the others up above. At least that part of my nightmare didn't come true. They won't be at a loss by the disappearence of their food. But now I'm probably going to starve to death down here. No flyer would be able to find me down here; the crevice has become way too narrow. With this overwhelmingly cheerful thought, Sen started walking, following a small passageway through the giant sheets of ice that had probably been there for hundreds of thousands of years. Great. I get to freeze to death in a crevice with ancient water. Marvelous.

Sayuk was quite happy, though it didn't show especially with a dragon face, that his little trick had work when he finally saw Sen human form slide of his back and drop into the crevice, which was a nice bonus. Especially the "DAMN YOU" the other had sent him while falling. Oh well, one down four to go. This had just made his day. He listened to the other fall for a little bit then got tired and simply started to walk away from the crevice and onward to his next destination, nowhere. He took his first step, head high like nothing had happened. He didn't want to go down there and help the guy back up. He was a dragon he had claws, powers he just had to find a way to climb back up he was not going to nurse him, even if he DID fall because of him. He loathed tha fact that he could not speak anymore since he had the perfect comment to say on this funny event.

As Sayuk clumsily landed while checking on the group on his back. He was curious as to why Sayuk had suddenly decided to care so much about their well-being, and the answer became apparent as Sen fell off with a comical "Damn you!" as he fell. Suddenly, Kasai wasn't exactly comfortable being on Sayuk's back. Instead of dropping off, he opted to just wait and see just about how pissed Midnight was going to be in the next 10 seconds. At least Kasai would get some enjoyment out of today.

He knew Sen would be fine. If he had to, he could simply teleport down and make a quick glyph to take him back up. Hopefully he wouldn't have to, since he didn't have much time left before he'd be useless. Sayuk seemed to act like Midnight had him at the end of a short chain. Something told Kasai the moment she said the word, Sayuk wouldn't waste a second going down there to save Sen, all the while cursing her for ruining his enjoyment. The very thought of it made Kasai smirk.

Oh, they knew alright. Certainly Bane was keenly aware of their pursuers, and he wanted nothing more than to eliminate the threat of being caught. He most likely couldn't out-fly them, but out-fighting them was always a possiblity... if he could trust Arasi not to turn on him. Which he didn't.

I go by Bane. He told her. And yourself? Telling her his name couldn't hurt, he was in far too deep with her to evade her now anyway. That might not stop him from trying to ditch her once they were away from their pursuers, however.

Yue went back to his brooding over how much of a liability he was considering himself. Thinking about it certainly wasn't making him feel any better. Neither was blaming himself. And it sure as heck wasn't going to help their current situation either. He shook his head to dispel the thoughts. No time for self-pity he thought to himself before staring straight in front of them. He did not like how close the other Agnimitra following them were getting to them. He stared at the silver dragon flying in front of them when she asked their names. Well...Koi already knew who he was...what could possibly go wrong? He scowled a bit at the possibilities. He sighed for a moment mentally before responding. I am called Yue...he replied softly.

((lol of course Midnight is pissed. If she could she would just beat Sayuk there and then, but violence won't solve this situation. XD))

"STOP!" Midnight commanded Sayuk when he began to walk away from where Sen had fallen. That annoying, stupid, arrogant, jerk! Did he really think he could just get away with letting Sen slip off of his back like that? Midnight could just feel how satisfied he was with himself and she was sickened by it. To find enjoyment in causing misfortune to another just ticked her off. She turned to the others and hastily began to speak.

"We need to go get Sen thanks to this idiot here," emphasizing what she was saying by smacking Sayuk, though it probably hurt her hand more than it did him. She slipped off of Sayuk's back to head over to the crevice. As she neared the edge, she slowed, careful with her footing, to peer down to see how deep it was. She just hoped that Sen changed back to his human form because his dragon form would freeze much easier.

---

I'm Arasi, she told Bane, while her mind then began to think of possible ways to elude their pursuers. The two were following and would not let up until they had no hopes of finding Arasi, Bane, and Yue. Though, perhaps the powers of the other two could help her, since she had no idea what they were.

What kind of abilities do you two have? she asked them both, speaking quickly and wanting them to answer quickly as well. They had no time to lose.

Yue's brow furrowed a bit when the Arasi asked what their abilities were. He was tempted to ask his own question of why she wanted to know...but he felt it was best not to argue at the moment. After all, this was not the time for it. Perhaps he could be of some help....I have the ability to control and create lightning...he replied to her.

Kasai groaned under his breath at the notion of going and getting him. He got off of Sayuk's back, thinking that to be a smart move at the moment, and turned to Midnight, saying, "Why should we have to go down and get him when Sayuk is an ice dragon, and can easily just do it himself. He did knock him down there after all." Truth be told Kasai was just being lazy. It would take him all of about a minute to retrieve him with his own powers, provided he hadn't moved too far away from the group. He didn't see why they had to freeze their butt off in a crevice when they had a perfectly good ice dragon hanging around.

Said ice dragon caused the mess to begin with, but he sure didn't feel like working too hard for his idiotic pranks. Especially when said prank could wind up with bad injuries. Injuries that the group might not be able to do much short term for, that they'd have to go back over. Kasai could see himself getting knocked out for about a week over the amount of energy he might end up losing over this, and he still had to decide what to do about the Gem. The whole mess simply got him slightly irritated. He had to get rid of this alternate personality before it started messing with him further, and he did not have time for Sayuk's mindless games.

((As I've said, Midnight, I'm not saving him if he fell down a crevice. And now he's down a crevice. Well, better hurry up and save him, or Sen will be a popsicle by the time you guys get down there. Then again, maybe that's what I want..... >8'3))

As soon as Sen's boots splashed into icy water and a feeling of numbness shot up his leg, Sen knew he was in trouble. Just how far had he fallen to get to the water level? "This day is just getting better and better." he grumbled, completely blind in the blackness of the bottom of the crevice. It was logical that there would be water down here, since it was a crack between ice blocks that floated around on freezing ice water. How penguins could stand it, he didn't know. Nor did Sen want to know. He prefered life to experiencing how many ways a Swamp Dragon could be killed in a sub-zero environment. Damn that Sayuk. It was all his fault. This had been his plan from the beginning, to pick them off one by one in his home turf. Here even the sun wouldn't weaken him, and with all the ice around, he was set. Great. Now Sen hated the jerk even more for making him fall down a crevice.

I've been keeping tabs on them myself, Koi replied, hovering above and slightly behind where Shadow was situated. They were closer now, Koi could tell.

If you can use lightning, then why aren't you!? We're in clouds, the perfect place for your powers! Since you're not having to fly like we are, user your lightning to shock our pursuers! Arasi snapped at Yue, not believing how incompetent he seemed to be. Sure, he was injured, but he was awake wasn't he? He had energy to speak and stay on Bane's back, so surely he had enough energy to spare to send a few bolts Shadow and Koi's way.

---

"You do make a good point," Midnight replied to Kasai and unhappily turned toward Sayuk, motioning for everyone to get down. After they did she spoke to Sayuk.

"Go down the crevice to where Sen is, and then bring him back up to here safely," she commanded him, trying to remain calm.

((eh, fail DX

you saw nothing >.>))

Forced to stop he did so and simply looked around as if nothing had happened, but when he was accused of this he simply glared at the ones doing so. He never knocked ANYONE out, the person had fell on his own. He had simply made this easier, but never touched the person to do so. Annoyed and slightly amused that Midnight wanted to go down there he sat next to everyone looking down the crevice and wondering how long anyone would actually survive in there. Having that cursed b**** go down there was more than he had hoped for. His amusement changed rather quickly when Kasai dared remind her that HE was an ice dragon and could easily get that guy back up. He looked at the boy wondering HOW he could get THAT one into a death trap. He wanted to kill all of them and get the gem himself, but it was becoming harder and harder with all of Midnight orders.

When the said cursed woman ordered him to BEING him back up here he simply looked at her.

"Why should I? He fell on his own he just has to get out of this himself."

He knew perfectly well what the order really was and he refused to do it. That's when he learned the bad side of being on the slave end of the glyph. Pain. Pain rushed all the way up to his brain then shot out in every nerves he had like fire. He howled in pain grabbing his head with his front paws and slamming his wings down next to him. His long tail was just twisting on the snow like a snake as he fought off the pain. As it simply went on increasing he jumped into the crevice and folded his wings next to his side to not wound them. The pain stopped just as fast as it had come. As he slid down the crevice he cursed that women once more, getting some slight pain, but enjoying it oh so much more.

"Curse you, you sly, sadistic b****!"

As he slid down he eventually reverted back to his human form as the space became much smaller then the opening. When he finally reached the bottom he fell face first into some ice water and in quite a disgraceful manner. He stood quickly knowing now that the guy was probably on his way to getting hypothermia, especially since he was in the water. He sniffed the air and finally caught the person's smell. He slowly went that way in the darkness until he was right next to the person. He put his hand on his shoulder to get his attention and look at how he was with the little light there was.

Firebreathing, some degree of pyrokinesis. I am afraid the explosion at the base coupled with the long flight has worn me out somewhat, so some of my powers may not be available to me. Bane told her, being sure to fly steadily just in case Yue did fire off a few lightning bolts. Yue was recently involved in a rather fierce fight as well, he may not have much left either. Ever the voice of reason, that dragon.

Yue growled at Arasi when she snapped at him for not using his power. Well, at least he would be helping instead of sulking. He glared at her for a moment before focusing his energy, closing his eyes in concentration. All around them, thunder resounded in the clouds that surrounded them, lighting up occasionally in a threatening manner. Moments later, his eyes snapped back open, eyes glowing an eerie sapphire and the pupils narrowed to slits as he manipulated the lightning to his will. He built it up for a moment before releasing it toward where he felt their pursuers were, aiming to injure, or at least distract them long enough for them to escape.

Jade got off of Sayuk's back before he went down after sen. Blaze jumped off and landed by her. He huffed and some fire came out of his mouth,"This is just great. We have to ride the guy that wants to kill us." Jade shook her head and looked down at where Sayuk had gone. She hoped Sen was okay, it seemed like a long way to fall. Blaze looked down and then whistled,"That's a long way down." He huffed and shook his head as he took a step back from the edge,"To far for my taste." Jade nodded and yawned sleepily. She heard the wind pick up and then die down a bit.

Just as Kasai predicted, Sayuk complained the whole way. Kasai just muttered 'If you didn't want excess work, then don't waste our time!' under his breath as he crossed his arms. They were in Antarctica, and it was freezing. He never knew this as well as he did now, this really didn't make his fire based powers more useful. In fact, it did the opposite. He found he was declining in energy much faster than he had anticipated. With his powers being sapped like this, there was a good chance his little flashlight plan wouldn't help him much.

Which was just great. He knew Sayuk would try to get back at him. It would be a pain to protect himself when he was going to be out cold within a few hours. It was just the price he paid for finding the gem. In the end, it would be worth it though. At the very least, he'd learn more about the true world that lived behind the backs of humans for centuries. He cracked his knuckles and looked at Inazuma, who had been oddly silent for a while. He didn't take him for the silent type, but it hadn't bothered Kasai much.

Kasai specifically avoided Midnight's gaze though, cause he knew she wasn't exactly the most sunshiny person right now. With Jade and Blake squabbling like children, and Sen and Sayuk down a hole, any source of conversation was lost to him at the moment. At least, with anyone he knew so far. He simply just stood there, not as angry as he was before, just simply thinking about the gem, and what finding it would be like.

Shadow heard what sounded like thunder which wasn't a good thing. Do you know what these two are capable of perhaps? Aside from Arasi that is... She asked Koi, hoping to gain a bit of information on the other two Agnimitra and use it to her advantage. But before that was even a possibility to use, a few flashes caught her attention. Great... Shadow growled in her head, knowing being in a cloud wasn't the best idea she had while around a storm. The dragon flew a bit faster, her shadows darkening enough to blur her outline even when flying. She wasn't sure if that would help much with the lightning around but it was her best bet for a surprise as camouflage.

A loud crack caught her attention, light mingling with the sound almost instantly. Shadow knew what it was and knew it wasn't good. She tucked her wings in at the same time the crack was heard, falling rapidly. A sharp pain in her tail followed the sound and light, letting her know it wasn't just the cloud deciding to flash for fun. An odd sensation corsed through her body, causing her controlled fall to become an uncontrolled and dangerous one.

Dammit! Shadow yelled in her head, continuing to fall but slowly pushing her wings out to slow it as the feeling went away. She leveled a few moments later, pushing her way back up to the clouds even though the danger was obviously still around judging by the activity the they had. Blasted lightning got me... not as badly as I thought but I've been hit. I can still fly though... Shadow relayed to Koi, hoping she hadn't been hit.

Bane growled approvingly as Yue loosed his powers, though he didn't know Shadow had been hit. Even if you do no harm, they may think twice about pursuing us so hotly He remarked, glancing back at the smaller figure on his back for a moment. He wasn't quite so keen about having the lightning so close to him, mind, but that was understandable. Generally when you were being pursued it was wise not to hit your own companions. Bane gained a little height so that the lightning wouldn't consider arching from the clouds and hitting him, though thanks to the laws of physics that would probably never happen.

Yue smiled ever so slightly at Bane's growl of approval. He nodded curtly in agreement to the other's statement when the other looked back at him. Though, he did sense a bit of the other discomfort. And Yue couldn't blame Bane for being...fearful. if that was the word to describe it, of their current placement near the clouds and in turn, the lightning that he was controlling. His brows furrowed a bit before he spoke. If you can keep steady in your flight, I can assure you that I can keep this up without my lightning striking you...either of you he responded. He then spoke directly to Arasi. I will try my best to get our pursuers to give up and retreat... he said before continuing concentrate on bending the lightning to do what he wanted.

He nodded and focused on his flight. I can do that. Well done, young one. He said, flying just a little faster to catch up with Arasi. And just what is it you can do, aside from bring up useful mists? It would be useful to know the strengths and weaknesses of his... allies? He wouldn't go far enough to call her that, he didn't think. Not yet. But it would still be useful to know if she turned on him.

Midnight simply groaned to herself at Sayuk's need to call her names. Though, what else should she expect from a murderer. He wasn't taught to be nice to others; only to do what was necessary, most likely. As she waited with the others for Sayuk to return with Sen, she did her best to stay warm and crossed her arms. Why couldn't the gem have been in a warmer place?

Inazuma left Midnight alone, not really wanting her to snap at him and get even angrier. He noticed how Kasai was just standing there apart from everyone. Figuring it was better than just waiting silently, Inazuma went to stand by him to make conversation.

"Hey, you're not freezing just yet, are you?" he asked, trying to make light of the situation.

---

I'm afraid that's pretty much all I can do. My specialty is to cover the battlefield in dense fog to cause opponents to panic when their visibility was reduced to zero, she answered, unfazed by the lightning. She merely gave a slight recognition to Yue's comment that had been solely to her.

Koi swiftly pulled further away from the lightning before she could answer Shadow. This would definitely make it a bit more difficult to follow the three.

Good, was the short reply Koi gave to Shadow, picking up her pace as much as she good. Either they would get them now, or have to pull back because of the lightning, and Koi would rather get them now. She told Shadow to not fall behind and to keep with the three ahead of them.

There was the danger that they would be hit by lightning, but she would take that risk if it meant stopping the three they were chasing. She neared them, trying to get right on their tails, but the dense clouds made it very hard to see exactly where they were. While she was paying more attention to finding the three in the clouds, she neglected to watch out for the lightning. She barely managed to avoid it, and ended up feeling it hit her tail which sent a jolt to her whole body. Her muscles stiffened up a bit, and she quickly righted herself before she fell down and through the clouds where the lightning was. After falling back a bit, because of that shock, she pumped her wings to move faster.

In hopes of retaliating, Koi shot an orb of water at them (instead of a stream so no lightning could find its way back to her) and only hoped that it would hit one of the three.

Watch out! Arasi exclaimed when she noticed an oncoming attack. She moved out of the way before the water attack had a chance to hit her.
