The Agnimitra

Recommended Posts

Shadow expected the answer from Koi, knowing that would be best for everyone. She followed behind Koi, changing to her dragon form when she did. This would get quite fun if done right. "You think they'll chance an early flight to get ahead?" Shadow asked after some thought, wondering what the chances were of the early surprise encounter. Shadows swirled lightly around her body at the thought, growing darker or lighter in response to what was going through Shadow's mind. Perhaps it might be better to go after Arasi herself and let Koi find the others with the Agnimitra she managed to make come along.

Bane padded over to grab his shoes, pulling them on casually since he didn't want to waste any time, if they were going to move. They'd probably expect the little group of escapees to make an early start, but they still had a lead and if they kept that they'd have a chance. Recuperating a little would give them an advantage annd if they were lucky they might find others to help them. After all, they couldn't be the only ones in this area opposing the Army.

"Of course we're not going to fly. I have enough money to buy us a car and in a large city like this, there's bound to be a car dealership somewhere. We can ask at the front desk when we check-out," Arasi answered, "I'll leave you two to get ready."

She turned and left heading back into her own room so she wouldn't be loitering in the hallway. While in there, she fixed up her appearance a bit as she waited. Five minutes shouldn't be too long, so she was expecting to hear them at her door in a few moments.

---

"I doubt they'll take flight today. It saves their energy to go by car, and it's harder to find a human amongst humans than it is to find a dragon amongst humans," Koi replied, "when we get closer to where they are, we'll land and continue on in human forms."

---

After they had all gotten some rest and the storm had passed, Midnight roused them.

"Get up, the storm has passed," she said then turned to look at Sayuk, hey, get up, we're going to be on our way. You will crouch down, be quiet, and wait for us to get on your back before we take into the air.

She did her best to carefully choose her words, before turning to the rest of them again.

Kasai awoke with a slight jump. He sat up and rubbed the back of his head as he quickly looked at his surroundings. A bunch of thoughts randomly buzzed around his head, all having something to do with where he was at the moment. He just shook his head a bit and attempted to get his bearings. It was cold, he heard Midnights voice telling him to wake up and he seemed to be in a giant round room made out of ice. It finally came back to him a little slowly. He must've finally fainted from making that glyph to get here in the first place.

Kasai got up and stretched his legs. Looks like another blissful day of riding on Sayuk's back. Perhaps while he was out Midnight managed to persuade him to stop playing his little tricks on everyone. They might even find the gem today, if luck was on their side. Even with that optimistic thought, Kasai heavily doubted they would find it at all anytime soon. After all, it's been hidden for so long, and they weren't even completely certain it was out here in the first place.

Midnight woke Sayuk up with her orders. He opened his eyes and saw only the whiteness of snow he was now covered in. He didn't have any time to wait though as she had just giving him a direct order to crouch down, which he did while focusing as much as he could so the ice would blow apart rather then fall on the group as he forced it to break with his dragon body moving while still frosen in it. It had the good side of blowing off some of the snow too, but some big snowballs still fell inside the rasting place. He shoke himself up to remove the remaining snow then positionned himself so they would be able to climb on him. He then waited silently for them to climb and took to the air. From up there he could see that the blizzard had moved a lot of snow. The place didn't look the same anymore.

He flew for a while, wondering if talking would hurt and if it would make someone fall from the pain spasm he would have. It was nice to think about it, but he had to go along his new resolution, at least to see if it actually changed something. What was he supposed to do anyway to be nice? Not kill them of course, but what else? Should he do like he usually do while spying? Be a bit helpful? They knew who he was though, it would be very awkward. He didn't like to do it anyway since it was not natural for him. While thinking about it all he suddenly spotted something in the snow. He quickly turned around, circling in the sky before diving to the ground towards the strange things he had just found. Upon landing he jogged closer to it. This was... a part of a building? Forced to be quiet he just sat down forcing them off by covering his back with ice. They had arrived he was not about to let them any longer then that to use him as a winged mule! He changed back to his human form and looked at the group in silence.

Jade yawned a bit as she woke up and opened one eye. She looked at Blake and poked him with her foot. He jumped and sat up quickly as he looked around,"What the-" He looked at her and she laughed a bit as she stood up and stretched her arms out,"I wish I could change to my dragon form and just fly. If we all could fly we would cover so much ground." Blake sighed and got up before stretching quickly. He breathed in deeply and closed his eyes as he felt the wind move around him, he let the wind die down and shivered a bit,"Too cold for that." She sighed and shrugged,"Fine then."

Yue nodded, watching her go away for a moment before closing the door. After redoing his shirt, he patiently waited for Bane to finish in his preparations, nodding to the other before going out of the door. They traveled to the door next to theirs, knocking on it and waiting for Arasi to answer. "Ready to go," he said to her when she answered after a few moments, following her to the front desk for information on a car dealership.

"You'd freeze to death here if you changed to your dragon form to fly," Midnight said, over hearing what Blake and Jade were talking about.

Once Sayuk was ready, they all climbed aboard once more to take into the sky. Visibility was a bit better now that it was calmer after the storm, but for ones who were not accustomed to all the snow and ice it was hard to tell if there was anything down there except more ice and snow.

Though, after flying for a bit, it seemed Sayuk had finally found something. After circling without saying anything, he landed on the ground and forced all of them off his back before changing back into his human form.

Midnight didn't say anything mostly because he wasn't saying anything. She'd at least give him some credit for that. Instead she focused her attention on what seemed to be a building peaking out from under the snow. Though, it was very small which piqued her curiosity. She ventured close to it to get a better look, brushing away some snow to try and see it all. As she did, she noticed that there was really nothing to the small part she could see, but as she continued to brush away the snow she came to discover there was more to it than just what they could see. Midnight moved away from it, doing some guess work as she moved back the others as well.

"Sayuk, blow away the snow. There's something under there," she commanded him.

So it really was something that could turn out to be very important. Knowing everyone would be annoyed with him blowing the snow off he tried to just wave them back not wanting the fox to forbid him anything more, but if anyone understood what he meant he highly doubted it. He tried, while not really doing much for it, so it was ok. He crouched on the snow and put his hands on it to feel just how deep he had to remove the snow. According to his calculation it was around the same size as the mansion... lot of snow to remove... Time to blow away snow. Focusing his magic on what he though was the entrance he whip the snow skyward in a small tornado style way which then blew all around the group like a small blizzard before calming down just as fast. Looking at his work he was quite happy, most of the building was still covered, but at least they had a way to enter the place now.

Shadow nodded in response to Koi, half expecting that tactic to be the second possible outcome. She figured it was better to do the same as saving energy was a good thing, as well as being able to hide out among humans. Though, her anti-social self didn't think it much of an asset for that exact reason- Shadow wasn't good with people in general, let alone crowds of people. She could blend in as long as it took, but the mental tole of resiting the urge to get away from the oddly happy human would eat at her and make her normally bad mood worse. Shadow only could hope that Koi could prepare for that and hopefully minimize the exposure, or at least keep her somewhere with more gloomy people to slow the process.

((uh, Sayuk wouldn't be able to get in yet. There's a huge pair of doors that's the only entrance. No windows and the like, since, well, they are in the middle of the Arctic. And ceonn, there is a doorway there, so no teleporting in. It's just a waste of energy to do that. So, Skarx and ceonn, please edit your posts. ^^

Second, it's a temple, not a house. There are bedrooms and kitchens and the like, but that's deeper in. This place is huge and built to keep things out. It's made of stone too since it's over a thousand years old.

oh geez, sorry it's long, but you MUST read it. don't be all like "tl;dr". Everything I put in my post, I put in there for a reason. If I mention it, then it must be important. If you don't read it all, then you'll most likely not know what the area looks like. or hey, you might be a good skimmer, but still. just read it please. no being lazy~ :3))

Midnight watched as Sayuk uncovered the large temple that had been buried under the snow. Seeing how much snow had been piled up made her wonder if this place had been untouched for over hundreds of years. Since it seemed like no one was here to uncover the snow to keep it from being buried as it had been. Sayuk and Kasai ventured closer to the place, but there was no way in besides a large doorway of double-doors and they were made entirely out of stone. As was the rest of the building for that matter. The stone itself was white to match the swirling snow around it, and the only thing that made the stone differ from the snow was swirling black here and there and the roughness. On the large doorway in front of them was a very intricate design that had been carved into the doors long ago and it was worn and faded now.

Midnight stepped o these doors, removing a glove to feel the stone with her bare hands. At the touch, the doors shuddered slightly then began to slowly open for them. Once fully open, beyond the entrance they could see a huge, long, and dark hallway stretching down further into the temple. Luckily enough, there were torches on the wall. She headed inside and took one, handing it towards Kasai because she knew he could use fire to light it. That way they'd be able to see as they headed inside.

The inside was not made of the same white stone, but of what seemed to be a once tan color stone but now the color had faded away, leaving it mostly gray. With three lit torches to light their path, the group headed down the long straight hallway. Midnight also noticed how the ground sloped down as they walked further in.

It wasn't too long before they reached the end of the hallway, which Midnight had thought was quite huge because a dragon could fit through it, but the inner chamber they were in now was even larger. And somehow, light from above managed to reach down into this place even though Midnight had seen no windows on top. She doused the light of the torch she held since there was no need for it anymore in this well lit place.

The large chamber now before them had a ceiling that was at least the height of two dragons combined, and it was spacious enough to let about twenty full grown dragons move about comfortably. Along the walls to their right and left stood intricate columns with dragons carved on their sides. The hallway which they had come from stood in the middle of the wall that was to their backs, and on the rest of the walls around them, more doorways and hallways could be seen that led towards more of the temple. It was by far the largest temple she had ever seen and never knew such a huge place like this could exist and have been buried under the snow for who knows how long.

Of course, what really grabbed her attention was what laid in the very middle of the gigantic room. There were two, frightfully huge statues of sleeping dragons. Their size was much larger than Sayuk in his dragon form. They seemed to be made out of the same stone that was on the outside of the temple, only the statues of the dragons were covered in ice.

"Don't go wandering off. At least stay in this room, and don't touch anything," Midnight said as the thought occurred to her. No doubt they would want to look around in this huge place, but she preferred if they stayed together.

Midnight approached the two dragon statues that lay next to each other, looking so peaceful. Cautiously she reached out towards the long neck of one of the dragon statues to feel it. Her hand touched it, but found that there was no ice covering these statues and that in fact they felt rough and hard. It felt like dragon's scales. As the realization struck that these were no statues, the two great dragons lifted their heads as their eyes blinked open. Midnight stumbled back and away from the dragons, staring up at them. The two stretched out their wings and shifted their weight into a more comfortable position as they yawned.

Well, that was a great nap, the voice that came from the dragon reached all of their minds, only this voice was much stronger than what any of them were use to. Midnight winced as she heard the other dragon, knowing that even if she covered her ears it would do no good.

((DH, I'm going to post as Koi once I move Arasi, Bane, and Yue along further. Kind of want to keep things timely, ya know? And besides Koi, Shadow, and the other three are just flying along. Not much happening.))

Sayuk followed silently like always then just sat next to the door when Midnight said not to touch anything or explore. Nothing else to do but wait it seemed. He remained still, looking at the huge dragon statues. When they suddenly moved as Midnight touched them he fought the urge of using his special power and disappear on the spot. Too many people, not sneaky enough and they probably already knew he was there. What... the hell... was this about?!

"Who said we should NOT touch ANYTHING?!"

Then the pain hit him as he disobeyed her order to remain silent. He put his head in his hands and clenched his teeth until the pain passed.

Jade smiled as her and Blake followed Midnight. Blake kept blowing fire onto some of the torches that were on the walls and looking around. Jade breathed in deeply and blinked a few times as she smelled something strange. When they reached the inner chamber her eyes landed on the dragon 'statues'. She nudged Blake and he looked at her before looking at the statues. He sighed and looked at Midnight as she spoke,'I really wanted to look around here to. It's pretty big and really nice.' Jade nodded but she was watching Midnight as she touched one of the statues and it moved. She jumped a bit and looked at the dragons. She glanced at Sayuk as she noticed that he felt some pain but then looked at the dragons again,"How long were they sleeping anyway?"

Midnight shot Sayuk a glance, glad that he felt pain when he talked because he was suppose to keep silent. Jade then asked the question about how long the dragons were sleeping, and before anyone else could speak, one of the two dragons spoke again.

How long have we been sleeping? He asked to the other.

I don't remember. Perhaps a few hours? It feels like it's only been a few hours.

Weren't we charged with a task? It was very important.

Hm, yes, there was something. What was it? I'm afraid I must have fallen asleep when it was given to us.

It'll come to us eventually.

The two dragons were hardly paying any attention to the newcomers of their temple and didn't look down at them until the ice dragons had finished their little conversation.

And who might you people be? I haven't seen you around here before, and only one of you is an ice dragon. That moody looking fellow over there. By the way, do you happen to have the date?

"Uh, it's a Tuesday in the year 2009," Midnight answered and the two dragons quickly lapsed into talking again and not allowing anyone else to speak.

Really!? Wow, we've been asleep for more than a thousand years then!

No wonder I feel refreshed! Though, why have we been sleeping for so long?

I don't know, perhaps it has to so with the task we were charged with.

"Excuse me," Midnight interrupted causing the two dragons to direct their attention to her, "we're looking for the Gem."

That's what it was! The Gem! Oh, I knew it was something important! We were told someone would come to collect it and you don't seem to be bad people, so we'll show it to you. It's up to you from there.

The dragon moved one large paw over and pressed something on the ground between him and the other dragon. A stone panel in the floor moved away to allow a pedestal rise out of the ground, and sitting upon this pedestal was the Gem. Although, it wasn't as brilliant as they would assume it would be. Instead the Gem was black, not brilliant at all. Midnight stood there, slightly stunned, as she stared at the Gem. There it was. Right there, but what did the ice dragon mean by it was up to them from here.

Bane wasn't long, and he followed Yue out and down to the desk. He had a distinct impression that this was going to be a very, very long day. His stomach growled, but he steadfastly ignored it in favour of paying attention to his surroundings. He'd mention food later.

Kasai was only slightly surprised that the statues hadn't been statues at all. It was only natural something would defend this place. He hadn't imagined Agnimitra would be able to live for such an immense period of time, but it yet again failed to surprise him. When they spoke of the gem being in this very temple however, his eyes widened. Now was his time to choose what he would do here.

Whatever plagued his mind wanted the gem to free itself, this much was certain, but should it really be used for a task like that? Kasai wasn't even certain it was that powerful. In fact, how powerful it was was never made certain to him. For all he knew it could be a one shot thing, or it could grant everlasting power to whoever held it. The risk though, could very well be too great to simply ignore. Could he really possibly condemn an entire race to ake his life a little easier? It had said there were other methods. Yes, there was no doubt in his mind right then and there. He would not use the gem for his personal problems. He couldn't do that to someone who had so readily taken him in with no prior knowledge of his existance. It wouldn't be right.

As the thought finally concluded within his mind, and doubt was all but removed, a stabbing pain echoed within his head. At this moment they hadn't been taken to the gem quite yet, and Kasai was forced to kneel on the ground from sheer pain. Though as quickly as it started, it simply removed itself from him. Pretending to pick something up so as to cover it up, Kasai put his right hand in his pocket and followed the group in order to finally be in the Gems presence.

When they had entered the chamber where the gem was kept, the brilliant stone Kasai had encountered in his dream was a dull black color. It looked like it was nothing more then a piece of rubble. At the very sight of thiis sorrowful gem, Kasai's heart beat increased. He began to feel many conflicting emotions break his calm mind and become reality. Then the pain returned to him, as he heard an earsplitting cry, as if it came from the back of his mind. When he attempted to grab his head to try and drown everything out, he couldn't do it. It was as if he had forgotten how to move, like he was a baby all over again. This feeling of powerlessness that overcame him in one instant like a drug, was simply too much for him to handle, and it all faded away into white.

Though while this was all going on, Kasai remained perfectly still, as if nothing was wrong. Even as he faded out of consciousness, his body did nothing to reflect it. He just stared intently at the gem. Though curiously, while Midnight stared at it with wonder sparkling in her eyes, Kasai simply smirked and said,"It's going to be a long day."

Blake sighed and ran a hand through his hair as the two dragons spoke amongst themselves. They really did seem clueless of things that had gone on and definitely wouldn't know about what the Dark Dragon has done. He shifted from foot to foot and stuffed his hands in the pocket of his sweatshirt. Jade shivered a bit and looked between the two dragons as they spoke. Somehow she thought of her father but the thought soon went away. When the Gem came up she blinked a few times as she looked at it. It looked different from what she expected it would. For some reason she wanted to touch it but she stayed where she was and looked at Midnight expectedly, Was she going to get it? Blake bit his lip as he looked at the Gem. Fully black didn't seem that good and it seemed rather strange for something that was supposed to be so powerful.

Seeing as how no one else was going to step forward towards the Gem, Midnight was the one to do so. With her eyes intent on the Gem her focus was then on her only goal of stopping Dark and knew the Gem was the thing they needed for that. Cautiously she reached her hands forward when she was close enough to grasp the Gem and removed it from the pedestal on which it sat. Since she didn't really know what to do, Midnight just focused her mind on the aim of stopping Dark so he could not hurt anyone else anymore. As her hands were placed firmly around the Gem, holding in front of her as she peered into the blackness that seemed to be sadness. Perhaps this sadness was caused by the fact that the Agnimitra were warring amongst themselves over what should be done.

Then it seemed that the Gem was in fact speaking to her, only it wasn't really through words but seemed more like through feelings. It seemed to wonder if peace amongst the Agnimitra would return soon to how it was before Dark appeared. Feeling as if words weren't necessary, Midnight tried to convey that she wanted that to happen and that the Gem was needed for that. Surprisingly. it seemed to understand, but it was still confused about another person in the room.

Midnight turned her head around, her gaze focusing on Kasai, and then turned around fully to face him. It almost seemed as if the Gem had her turn to face Kasai to show her who it meant. Why Kasai?

---

Arasi nodded when Bane and Yue told her they were ready to go. As they left they checked out of the hotel room and found the location of a nearby car dealership. That was where they headed for next. At the dealership Arasi didn't let the salesman even throw his pitch when she approached him on the lot. All she wanted to know was which car was the fastest car that was dark in color, not even letting him go on to suggest something. He led the three of them to the car which was rated one of the best, and after looking things over, Arasi was satisfied that the black car they were shown would suffice. She looked at the price tag and then pulled out the wad of bills she had on her, and began to count as quick as she could to get the proper amount and handed it over. The salesman was left stunned a bit that the car was sold so quickly and even more stunned by the fact that as he stood there holding the keys to let them take a test drive, that she swiped the keys from his hand, ushered Yue and Bane into the car, and then just took off. This obviously wasn't the correct procedure, but Arasi didn't care at this moment and they had their money so that's all that mattered to those humans.

Arasi had been taught to drive, so she was quite familiar with the interior of the vehicle. She bolted down the road, weaving in and out of traffic to try and get out of the city and out onto the open road where she could really take off and not have to worry about speed limits. That was one nice thing about Australia, there were many places where it was just miles upon miles of open desert and simple roads to connect towns and cities. She was also familiar enough with the area to be able to go around the cities and towns so they could keep going without worrying about traffic laws.

Soon enough, they were out on the open road, the buildings falling behind them as they left the city limits and Arasi pressed the gas pedal to the floor. The car zoomed off down the road, pushing 140mph.

Koi with Shadow and the other three, took off through the sky heading for where Arasi and the other two went. She still had the general idea of where they were, but they would still need to move quickly in order to find them. Luckily, Koi had good endurance, and the three she grabbed were no slackers either.

Kasai's gaze had kept on the gem throughout this awkward period. His red eyes with an odd glimmer of playfulness in them. His mouth had formed into the likenes of a smirk, and his right hand was planted firmly on his sword. He took a shep forward, towards the confused woman that stood before them all, with the gem in her grasp, and shimmered in the light. He tore off his left sleeve, revealing his left arm to be covered with scales. His smile grew wider, with a twinge of sinister intentions. He didn't seem anything like the normal Kasai. not in the least.

His body kept shimmering, and in some moments you could see through him as if he was made of glass. Finally, he spoke. "Why are you so confused Midnight? Did I do something wrong?" The words he spoke were friendly on paper, but the emotion he put into them certainly wasn't friendly in the least. "Perhaps you simply aren't worthy enough to hold onto the gem..." Mid-sentence, he disappeared in a flash of light, and then reappeared behind Midnight, his sword's point lightly pressing against the small of her back. "Perhaps you should give it to someone who is more... capable. I'm certain you understand."

Yue quickly entered the back of the black car a bit cautiously. He knew what the thing was after all he had seen them a lot in his travels. But he had never personally driven one, let alone ridden in one. He wasn't entirely sure about the thing, but he really didn't have a choice in the matter at the moment, did he? He entered it, looking around curiously. He wasn't completely calm about being in the contraption, but he wasn't freaking out either. That is...until he hear the roar of the engine turning on. That was when he started to silently panic. Oh gods, what was he in for? He found out a few moments later when the car sped off, Yue's eyes widening in horrified shock. His nails bit into the leather seat he sat on in fear, not at all liking this one bit. And it all seemed to get much worse when they were off the public roads and somewhere else. He couldn't help but think that his life expectancy had shortened by a few years because of this. He was much too old for this thing!

Blake shifted slightly and narrowed his eyes. 'What the heck is going on?!' He narrowed his eyes and when he breathed out smoke came out of his nostrils. He growled softly and changed to his dragon form before looking at Kasai. 'What are you doing? Jade unsheathed her sword and moved so that she was closer to them, Kasai in her range if she used her sword to hit him with a blast of wind. "Isn't it obvious? He's not on our side." She narrowed her eyes at him, something really was strange about him. Mostly she was looking at his red eyes. What was with this guy?

Bane had been in cars before, and he knew how to drive, but for some reason he sank down in his seat and shut his eyes as though he was fighting back nausea. He considered asking Arasi if she'd mind letting him take the wheel, but rejected the idea for now since he doubted she'd let him; she wouldn't trust him enough.

"Where exactly do you plan to go?" He asked, cracking one eye open to look at her as she drove. It seemed wise to know where they were going, since he got the distinct impression he'd have to run from it shortly after they got there.

Shadow continued to ponder what she might do if she was able to get Arasi alone. Many things came to mind, most of which going back along the lines of her normal considerations of personality liking. While one kept standing out no matter how badly Shadow pushed it back. She knew that would be even more difficult than just plain killing her once she got the chance. But Shadow left if be, realizing the shadows around her started to changed a darker red with the confusion she was going through. If the opportunity arose, Shadow would try but if things didn't seem like they were going well, well, Shadow would have to kill her.

Midnight's eyes narrowed when she noticed the change in Kasai's attitude. Something was definitely wrong with him right now. Her eyes widened when he disappeared, only to reappear behind her, his sword pointing at her back.

"Do you not realize you're out numbered?" she asked calmly, her face settling back into a serious one. Since she didn't appreciate the sword pointed at her, water from the ground around them lashed out to knock Kasai's sword away. Midnight leapt away, placing the Gem into one of the pockets on her coat. From the bag on her back, she pulled out two daggers to defend herself with against Kasai. She didn't understand what was going on, but she had to at least have some way to defend herself.

Sayuk, don't harm Kasai, but stop his movements, she said to him, figuring his ice powers would be good at stopping another from moving.

((XD I didn't realize Arasi's driving would get to both of them! LOLOL))

"In this car, to the coast. In the long run, the only safe place I know of which is the temple located in London. I know it's far, but it's the only one I know of. I figure if we took turns flying, we could reach it quickly without having all of us tire out at once," she answered, not taking her eyes off the road to see the reactions of the others. Feeling an urgency as a kind of a gut feeling, Arasi pushed the car to speed down the road even faster.

Koi glided above the outskirts of a city, searching the ground.

They were here, she said to the others, before speeding in the direction of the coast.

Kasai smirk turned into a full smile as he watched Jade and Blake prepare for battle. He didn't have much time to contemplate what to say though, as Midnight had attempted to knock the sword out of his hand. instead of letting his sword get knocked back, he spun while moving forward, letting the water hit him. Midnight managed to get away from him, but at least he had his sword. He decided now would be as good of a time as any to reply to her. "I'm offended! Did you really think I would challenge you all like this if I thought I would lose?"

Ending his sentence with a small chuckle, Kasai jumped backwards to give himself more room between him and his foes, and then quickly decided who he had to remove first. Inazuma's capabilities were a complete mystery, but the others who stood before him have already shown him their powers. Sayuk would be useless against him, and Jade and Blake were less experienced... That left Midnight, who had a massive advantage with her power over water. To put pressure onto her though, he'd to make sure Sayuk couldn't interrupt him. He had just the plan.

Kasai brought his sword up to his shoulder, and quickly scraped is along the scales on his arm. Along with the unpleasant noise, came a few sparks of energy, heat energy to be exact. It didn't take a genius to know what he would do with that, as those tiny sparks of heat erupted into a raging fire that sped across the room, moving directly for Sayuk. Right before the fire would come close enough to burn Sayuk though, the wind roared around Sayuk, as Kasai created a cyclone on the spot, capturing and spinning the flames around him.

With that done, Kasai sped forwards, towards Midnight, and attempted to cut her with his sword. He was determined to obtain the gem, and to do that, he had to remove Midnight permanently.
