The Agnimitra

Recommended Posts

This time the soldiers were ready for Midnight and she barely wounded them. One of the warrior, a big fire dragon jumped on one of the resistance member and unleased his flame on his face while another green Agnimitra slashed the poor burned throat open. One down. The one named Hank was slowly limbing away, not able to fight more, but used his own power to attack Midnight after he second passage sending lightning bolt towards her.

One of the Dark's soldier then saw Stick coming towards them.

Another one is coming! Prepare yourselves for complete defense!

They backed away a bit and waited for the resistance to come sending, lightning bolt, flames and wind at the attackers.

The reinforcement was coming fast. They saw the lighning afar and accelerated. They was almost there. Soon.

Stick immediately launched himself at the enemy dragons. There was no sense of strategy in his head, simply fight, injure, kill. His body burned with adrenaline and the pure joy and fear of battle. It was exhilarating and terrible all at the same time. Opening his mouth, he allowed a large amount of freezing ice to leave his mouth, putting all his 2000 years of experience behind the attack. He knew it wouldn't be enough to stop them, but hopefully the ice would coat their wings and slow them down.

...

Puppy watched the large beam of ice leave Stick's mouth in amazement. He knew someone as young as him couldn't ever dream of managing an attack with that much power behind it, only someone as old and as experienced as Stick, but he also noticed how mindlessly Stick appeared to by flying at the enemies, leaving himself open and vulnerable to attack. He quickly realized why Rain was always healing Stick. The man simply had no sense of strategy at all.

He on the other hand, he relied upon strategy. Without it, the larger dragons would crush his light bones meant for speed with one bite from their huge jaws. Flying above his enemies head, he flew in random patterns so that hitting him would be no easy task and considered what to do next.

What am I doing here?! Actually where is here? Brick heard this as he noticed Jade had woken up. "Well your in a watch house building for the Black Dragon's army. I would suggest you change back to your human form or else you might black out again I think." Brick said gesturing to another chair next to him and grabbing his spear from the wall standing up and walking up to Jade, spear at the ready. Sir, Jade has finally woken up. I am proceeding to try and convert her by any means necessary. He sent to Sayuk as he looked up at Jade in her dragon form ready if she decided to attack him or summon any wind, wishing he could pump the air out of the room and just have oxygen masks but that didn't work when oxygen masks weren't made to fit a dragon's muzzle. Midnight dodged the oncoming attack, growling deeply about missing. Well, she wouldn't this time. Her opponents then seemed to be distracted by something and she saw another dragon coming their way. Must be on her side since these members of Dark's army did not recognize him. She did recognize the dragon following behind him though. With another growl she charged at the enemy, this time stopping as she came down upon them with claws and tail whipping around to strike them with great precision.

Puppy! I thought I told you stay inside! She yelled at him through his mind, letting him feel how upset she was that he didn't obey. She knew he was young and hadn't learned much of how they do things, but he needed to know that not knowing these things result in consequences that he would have to go through.

As long as you can hold your own out here, you can stay! But as soon as you can't hold your own anymore leave before something more severe happens! Midnight commanded Puppy, choosing not to say before he died. She would not let it come to that and would protect him no matter what, though she herself was not stupid enough to die protecting him. She would protect him and they would both live, and that was that.

((OMG, so, so sorry for being out for so long... Though it's a good thing Skarx could entrtain himself by the soldiers instead of waiting for me...))

Kiri turned when she heard someone scream, obviously Sayuk, due to the nickname she had been called by. She saw him coming up to her, looking exhausted. He said members from Dark's army where attacking, and asked if she was fine. "Don't worry about me, and I already know about the lack Dragon's army coming... More importantly, have you seen Jade?" She asked, she was really worried about the wind Agnimitra, since the last time she had seen her was when that specialist had found them, and he seemed like he wasnted to take her away to join them... She looked at Sayuk again, noticing his slightly concerned expression. "I'll go help out, you better go inside and reat, you look exhausted" She said, while swiftly turning to her dragon form, and taking off into the forests, quickly sniffing out the faint scent the specialist had left when he found her and Jade. She concentrated a bit, mahking the wind blow on her favour, and flying as fast as she could towards the location. Sniffing the air, she could tell there were other soldiers that were coming, probably as reinforcements, but Rain, Stick, Puppy, Midnight and some other Agnimitra were fighting them, so right now she was more worried about Jade.

Her flight was shorter than she imagined. She was almost halfway there, in a short amount of time. She had used the human planes more than her beastial form; the machines were much slower. She didn't have much to look at, just the seemingly endless waves, the occasional ship and a few whales. They were tasty. Fluffy licked her scaly lips with her forked tongue, remembering the sea mammals. She noticed she was getting closer to land now and pumped her wings harder, gaining altitude and speed.

((xd.png I don't mind doing the soldiers its just a bit hard to keep everything in mind when you are now doing thing with EVERY player. I'll have to end it soon. Alos you cannot track something that went into the ground as Brick and Jade did. You'll have to change your post before I can post back since... it'll change much of your actions. Still I'll answer what you first told him.))

Sayuk was getting better now that he didn't have to run everywhere, but answered Kiri's question.

"Jade? The wind dragon girl right. I saw an earth dragon bring her uncouncious body into the ground not far from here. You won't be able to find him or I highly doubt so since you rely on you smell a lot."

When Kiri changed into her dragon form Sayuk jumped away. Did she knew who he was? That he help abduct her new friend!? Didn't seems so since she told him to go inside and rest. He was not going to do that. When Kiri jumped and took the sky he cursed his situation mentally taking his dragon form and follow her now would not help... though maybe it would. No need to cover himself with thick ice to hide his true shape. He turned into his dragon form too, but without any of the ice shape he had given himself. He opened his large wings and jumped behind Kiri. That's when he recieved the troops emergency call and Brick information.

You soldiers retreat NOW or I'll kill you all. I have a mission here and you are disturbing it. Tell me what is happening though.

He listened to his report while they prepared to flee with the reinforcement that had arrived to help them. He then went next to Kiri. Only to see this himself.

"They might be in trouble maybe they could need our help. Our presence could help them push back the soldiers."

When he saw the look on Kiri's face he wondered what message or realization she had suddenly gotten. Jade may have talked to her since she was now awake.

"Kiri focus on the fight your friends are fighting right now. pPuppy and Midnight are there. One of them could be killed."

He waited for Kiri to react and answered Brick.

Good. She may have contacted an outside friend with telepathy. I saw one react weirdly not too long after you told me. I'll follow her.

------------------------------------------------------------------

The soldiers defense was broken when one of the resistance jumped on them like a mad beast. The lightning dragon died from the ice beam impact since he was already badly wounded, but the three others made sure Stick would regret his action, slashing and burning him as they could. Their wings had ice covering them, but it was breaking apart from their movement. That when they received Sayuk orders to get the hell outta here.

Fall back troops! We have to go away!

The reinforcement chose that time to arrive. Six highly trained Agnimitra that pushed back the attacker. The leader then saw Kiri and Sayuk further in the back and Stick. He cursed.

Retreat! They are no numerous we have to go. You resistance dog will die I swear you will!

The three wounded jumped into the sky and started fleeing as the reinforcement protected their back. Two of the reinforcement ended up wounded. They then fled with the others.

Jade looked at the spear. "Okay you don't have to point that thing at me." Jade changed into her human form and crossed her arms. She stomped over to the chair and sat down. "Why do you have to be so mean?" Jade smiled when she said this. This is stupid. Now I have to play nice with this guy. I think I might get sick from all of this. Might as well have some fun while I can though. I just hope that no one else in the Army comes here though. I don't neeed any trouble. "So, why do you want me to be in the Black Dragon's Army anyway? What have I done that made you and however that other person was want me in it?"

Stick fought like an enraged bull till the moment that Black's Army retreated. He gave little thought to the pain as the group of three dragons slashed and burned him after his initial attack. He continued to try to battle the three, but his luck turned after he killed the lightning dragon. Three against one were not good odds and all he got out of the experience was a few good sized bleeding gashes and uncomfortable burns, but nothing that was immediately concerning, immediately being the key word.

He was pushed back by a new force of Agnimtra arriving. Not taking the time to count, he continued his mindless attacks. There was many more the before, that at least he could tell. There were at least twice as many claws and teeth gripping his scaly hide. He felt his teeth sink into one of the attackers for a brief moment, but that was all. His enemies had the much better odds at the moment. They were ripping him to shreds. He was preparing to let out another beam of ice when the enemy dragons started retreating.

Growling, this only increased his anger. He fought with a fiercer fire then even before, but it was no use. Eventually Dark's forces got away. He briefly considered taking off after them, but he was already tired. Battle always sapped his energy quickly. Not to mention it wasn't worth chasing them. They were all cowards. They didn't even have the guts to finish what they had started.

He hovered in the air and the full force of his exhaustion hit him. His wings burned as if he had flown a thousand miles without rest. His injuries started to feel more painful then they had in battle, especially the burns. Being an ice dragon, he was especially sensitive to such injuries. Burns were perhaps the worst kind of injury that another Agnimtra could inflict on him if they wished to cause him severe discomfort or pain. It made his whole body feel as if it was on fire, which was something any decent ice dragon would hate. All this took a backseat though to one thing that pained him the most. Looking around, he sighed with relief when he saw Puppy flapping above his head, not a single scratch on his golden hide.

...

As long as you can hold your own out here, you can stay! But as soon as you can't hold your own anymore leave before something more severe happens! Midnight's voice echoed through his head. Puppy shook his head and replied a little dishearted to Midnight. Alright. He had a feeling he was in for a large lecture after this was over.

Puppy soon forgot Midnight's statement as he watched the results of Stick's mindless charge. Golden flinched every time he saw a claw or tooth piece Stick’s hide. It took all his might not to fly into the middle of the rumble and heal Stick right there. Of course he couldn't even manage all those injuries if he wanted to. He considered his attack plans with a cold one minded purpose that surprised even him. When it seemed one of the dragons was distracted, he darted down and attempted to bite them or claw them. When they turned around to attack him back, he had already darted away, but his own inexperience led to his failure. They never landed a single attack on him, which was a relief, but he had never landed a single attack on them either.

It all went so quickly, he was surprised when Black's Army started retreating. He felt like he had only been in battle for a matter of seconds, yet he was relieved. It was all almost over. Battle was a terrible thing to say in the least. When the last of them finally left, Stick watched them fly away for the briefest moment, before looking up at him. The relief was evident on Stick's face, even in his dragon form. Doing an elegant spin, Puppy flew down from where he was flying and stopped feet in front of Stick and gave the man the briefest of nods. It was done.

((Quick edit and thats all fixed ^^))

((okey dokey! X3 now, lets see what this aftermath will be like.))

Midnight growled as she saw the enemy leaving, but they were able to get away before they could be captures or killed. Stick put up a good fight though even if it was just madly attacking. Now the question was where were the others; Jade, Kiri and Sayuk. It would not be good if they were injured or worse, captured by Dark's army. They had to find them, but first there was Stick and Puppy. Stick wouldn't listen to a thing she said, but Puppy most likely would. If he wanted to be in the resistance they he needed to listen to his superiors.

Stick, are you alright? Midnight asked him, deciding to deal with him first then Puppy. It seemed that Puppy wasn't going to be leaving Stick's side anytime soon. That could be used as an advantage to make sure Puppy wasn't going to do anything reckless. It certainly did seem as if Stick cared for the boy, so maybe she could convince Stick to keep track of Puppy. Golden would most likely stay with Stick, but then there was the problem of Stick running off and Puppy following. Hopefully Stick would get Puppy to stay with the resistance rather than running off.

((This is going to be a fun aftermath *evil giggle*))

It took a moment for Midnight's question to register in his mind. I'll be fine. Worry about the others for now. he said. He knew he would never be able to pull this trick on Rain. She knew him to well for that, but Midnight wasn't clued into all his little peculiarities and tricks he always pulled the same way that Rain was. He always answered this way when injured, even if he was coughing up blood and obviously not okay. This time he was fairly sure there was nothing too terribly concerning though. His body did scream in pain, but he didn't feel like he was about to pass out or fall to the ground which was always a good sign that he had come out of a battle with only minor injuries, or his definition of minor injuries. His definition encompassed everything from a deep gash to third-degree burns to anything that didn't cause him to drop dead on first impact.

Rain was flying in the direction of Kiri's scent, when the smell of blood flooded her nostrils. Distracting her from her previous mission, she veered off in the direction of the blood. Beneath her, she could still hear the many sounds of battle. When she passed over the scene, she noticed that Black's army was retreating into the southern sky. After she absorbed the information just given to her, her eyes moved to the ground where Stick's wounded figure caught her attention. She landed near him, and sent

Think of the devil and you get her. Stick thought to himself. He had thought the world was being ironic earlier, but now he was fairly sure that the world was toying with him now. There was only so much irony one man could take in one day. Why did this situation always repeat itself like a broken record player? I'll be fine Rain. Don't worry about me. A few scratches is all. I don't need you flying in to the rescue like you always do, not that I've ever needed rescuing. I'm not sure you realize this but I'm more then capable of holding my own. Don't you have something better to do then drowning me in your gosh-darn-it unwarranted smothering concern, Rain?

Ah Rain, you're alright, that's a relief, Midnight said with a relieved sigh when she saw the green dragon. Now Rain could deal with Stick and could handle the guy much better than Midnight could herself. And since Rain was talking with Stick she could speak with Puppy.

Puppy, she began, getting his attention. I need to speak with you, please listen carefully.

She just hoped that this time Puppy really would listen to her since finally it seemed they would get a chance to talk. First off she need to scold him of course since he should have known better but went ahead and did as he wanted. She doubt she could stay mad at the boy for long though. He was just too young to be mad at for very long.

Puppy's head drooped slightly as he heard Midnight say they needed to talk. He was fairly sure he knew what was coming. It wasn't the first occasion that he had been reprimanded by someone older then him. He hated the feeling of making someone else angry or worried. Causing that in others ate away at him like nothing else could other then thinking of his father.

Shuffling over, he stopped in front of Rain and sat down in his dragon form before letting it dissipate. He sat staring at the ground for a moment before looking up at Midnight with his large amber eyes. "Yes?" his voice was squeaky with dread. He hated what was coming, but he knew he deserved it.

((Ah! Nooos! I'm sorry! I could ask fortune about it. I love rping with you biggrin.gif Oh, and they do have such an entertaining relationship. I was going to try and get away from him to go with Kiri, but she ran away, so I was stuck with Stick, once again. biggrin.gif))

Rain sighed and shook her head. She had not meant to come to him again, but she kept getting called by his voice or the smell of his blood. She glared at him for a moment, then shook her head. No one else could make her lose her 'cool' like Stick. She shifted into her human form and specifically walked past Stick. The smell of his blood was the equivalent of him asking for help to her, but she ignored it. She moved on to Mark, who was injured. She focused all of her energy on healing him, and after a few moments, it was done. She moved on to the next dragon, but sent to Stick

It is not my fault that you are as reckless as a hatchling and can't resist getting wounded when in battle. I am only as concerned with your well being as I am with any other dragon's. She focused her attention solely on the other dragon as she healed him, then looked at the battlefield. She saw that there were no Resistance members left, but two of Black's army had died. She stopped next to each of them and placed a kiss on their foreheads.

"I am sorry that you died for this war. In the time before this, you never would have been forced to choose." Rain said to the corpses. She hated seeing the lives that had been lost, and knowing that no one from Black's army would be allowed to return for the corpses of their fellow soldiers. She bowed her head in sadness and respect.

Sayuk smelling the strong odor of blood flew over to the others. He was about to land when he saw Rain. Half in panic, since she had just been chasing him for being in the army not an hour ago, he flapped his wings to slow down unsure. None of them would reconize him in this shape. He then remembered he actually had a smell this time. The draconic smell of himself, but it was still close enough to the one they knew. He landed not to far next to the dead lightning Agnimitra. Poor soldier, he had died in vain. What he found funny was that they had been ambushed by members of the resistance. Still leaving the carcass here would not do, if a human found it there would soon be an ARMY of the vermin invading the area and he didn't want trouble around while he was supposed to play spy. He loathed these inferior being so much he was not sure he could tolerate being so close to a lot of them without releiving himself of the stress he was going to accumulate just looking at them.

He looked at the other not sure what to do. He was unconfortable with Rain close to himself and was too tired to change his form again for now. Being so close to Rain... maybe he could do something with these corpses.

Midnight changed back into her human form, walking over to Puppy to where he was standing. He looked so sad, which made her start to hesitate but she had to stay strong and sure.

"You disobeyed my orders to stay inside not to mention tore a hole through the side of the mansion. That will take some time to repair. You also need to be more careful about when you do change into your dragon form. There have been guidelines set down about changing into dragon form to keep the resistance safe. To sum them all up, you shouldn't change into your dragon form unless absolutely necessary," Midnight said to him. trying to stay strong and serious. Those eyes were getting to her though, full of his sadness and dread and the knowing he had done something wrong. "Promise you won't do these things in the future and will obey your superiors."

((Sorry to poof, I had to read 5 chapters of the Scarlet Letter for Lit class. Gotta love the classics. I'm sorry you got stuck with Stick once again xd.png He is a real jerkface (patent pending on this term xd.png), but he's an entertaining one at least. You are a ball to RP with too Key))

He was pleased with himself when Rain didn't immediately rush to his side. He watched in silence for a moment as she spoke to the dead corpse. For a moment he considered saying how stupid it was to talk to dead people, but then he remembered how he did much the same thing with his mother and kept his mouth shut. Although he would never understand Rain's softness to a full extent, he could somewhat sympathize for how she treated the other dragons, even ones she didn't know. On the other hand, he had never been quite so open and loving to everyone. He had loved his family. He had loved Ida. Those were the only things he had ever really cared about to any large extent. Being concerned for everyone was just too much of a hassle for him.

Allowing his dragon form to dissipate, he looked in dismay at his dirty torn clothes. Now he would have to change again. It was such a hassle at times, but perhaps he would actually find something matching this time. "Maybe you should care about me less then other dragons then Rain. Think of me as a piece of dirt if that helps. You wouldn't heal a piece of dirt would you? I really don't care how you think of me anyways, as long as it stops you from giving a hoot about my well being. No matter what you say, I'm not a hatchling and I refuse to be treated as one."

Kicking a rock with his foot, he looked at the forest looming around him. It beckoned him like an old familiar friend. He wanted to run away but as he looked at Puppy, he knew they would have to resolve their fight soon. Scowling, he folded his arms across his chest and seethed. By the time that came around, Rain would have already gotten to him. Good thing there was no injuries on his wings this time. She would only have to heal the wounds without him changing into dragon form. The quicker it was done the better, but it would be even better if it was never done.

((Haha xd.png I love how he says he’s not a hatchling and then throws a fit))

...

Puppy listened to her reprimand silently and nodded his assent. "I promise." he said very quietly, barely loud enough to be heard. Staring at the ground, he fidgeted and tried to avoid looking at Midnight, afraid that he would see the accusation in her eyes that he imagined so vividly in his head. It probably wasn't as bad as he thought, but imaginings can do a lot and make things seem worse then they are.

"Good," she replied, giving into his sad look and wrapped her arms around him in a hug, "I don't want to see you do something foolish and get hurt."

She held him tightly, glad that this time he wasn't harmed. She just hoped he would be more careful in the future. And she wanted him to know that she'll be there for him. That he wasn't alone and shouldn't let any sort of family ties worry him. She was just too soft for her own good. Of course, she did know about the boy's sad past and everything that happened to him. He might be getting off easy this time, but next time she might have to be stricter. Though, she hoped there wouldn't be a next time. She might not be able to punish Puppy.

Tired of them just talking in the middle of the road... well next to one he interrupted them all.

Ok keep the talk for later we got two corpses here to clean. We can't let humans find them or more will come and they are bound to find the temple. How do we get rid of them?

Burrying them would be a good idea, burning too, but he disliked fire and would not participate in that. He wondered if he had been to direct with his word again. He also felt it was a good thing to say Jade was missing.

Oh and we lost that wind girl, Jade. The one with the sword.

He laid sat on the groud not to get anymore tired than he already was. He needed to learn not to tax his power so much. He lacked training it was clear to him.

((Oh my, this is quite the post wink.gif, but Skarx, Rain wouldn't know that Sayuk, as he is now in dragon form, was the one that she was chasing, right? If she would, I'll edit.))

Rain sighed as she turned her attention back to Stick. She saw how torn his clothes were and the blood that was dripping from his gashes. She instinctively took a step towards him, then stepped to the side, as is she had been walking that way all along.

If only I could just think of him as just dirt! No, I would hate thinking of anyone as 'just dirt'. He has to stand there, bleeding and looking so vulnerable and handsome. Ah! Did I just think of him as handsome? Oh dear, oh my. Rain thought to herself and looked up at him again. She took a deep breath to calm herself down.

"It is not you, nor your stellar personality that keeps me concerned about you. It's your blood. Since you are constantly bleeding, I have to keep healing you. I can't ignore your gaping wounds, no matter how little you appreciate the energy I expend." Rain said, sounding a little too defensive. She turned her back to him again and saw a live dragon there. She flinched a little, in surprise, then regained her composure.

"Excuse me," She said to the dragon. "Mark and your brother, would you mind helping to bring these corpses back to the mansion?" She said. She hoped that no one would notice that she was acting a little odd.
