2023-10-25 - Halloween Event Begins

Recommended Posts

Past Events Now Available

As with last year, several past Halloween events have returned. Revisit the 2017 Hatchling Dress-Up, 2019 Rise of the Zombies, and 2021 Haunted Harvest events for the next two weeks (until 11/8).

New Event: Pumpkin Carving

In this year’s event, carve new homes for Pumpkin Dragons. Design your own, or choose from several patterns and see how accurately you can recreate them. More patterns (and decoration capabilities) will unlock throughout the event.

Trick or Treating

As in past years, trick-or-treating is enabled across the site. Find hidden treats all over and click them to grab them. There's 54 items this year, and you can once again gather old treats as well. Trick-or-treating will be available for the full two weeks of the event—perfect for catching up on years past.

Halloween Dragon Breeding

Halloween dragons from previous years are breedable until November 1. New event dragons won't be able to breed until next year. In addition, the Halloween event biome has returned. Grab previous Halloween dragons directly from the cave, but only until November 1. There's no limits here either, so catch them before they're gone.

A new dragon will be released on 10/31 and drop for 24 hours. After that, it's gone until next year.

It's the most wonderful tiiime of the yeeear!

Fast facts:

  • As shown in the above post, the Halloween biome lasts from now until the end of the 31st at DC time. In addition, while Halloween breeding lasts for the same length of time, Halloween eggs may be present in the AP for longer, up to about a week past November 1.
  • Newer breeds will see more competition than older breeds. Newer breeds, especially the latest Crypts, may get caught from the Cave or AP very quickly, while older breeds such as the Pumpkin and Marrow may behave as "blockers" for those areas.
    • Looking to obtain one of all breeds, but tight on time? You may want to prioritize the newer breeds first, and give yourself an easier time with the older breeds later.

Eggs to look out for in the Halloween biome:

Let the fun begin!

I've bred a few eggs to keep and will be breeding for some trades later.

Will be fun to play catch and release in the AP later. ;) I am always looking for pretty checkers and mates for holiday kins that I have collected.

And as always, anxious to see what spooky new dragon we get.

Happy DC Halloween, everyone!
